When the black heart of ashborn entered his chest, he always had this feeling. His back was really itchy, he felt uncomfortable, he left like he was squeezed inside a box, he felt like he was trapped.

It was in his fight against the three monarchs, it was after the beast monarch pierced his chest his chest that he felt free.

The skin of his back tore apart as pairs of wings emerged from them. His right side, where his black heart was, it had four vivid black wings whereas his left side, where his human heart was still beating, had four snow white wings.

He finally felt free, his wings extended, stained in his own blood, tearing the muscles and veins clutching them close, it was undoubtedly painful but at the same time, it was so relieving, he felt like he had a cage that had trapped him.

He left free like a bird who wanted to see the end of the horizon.

The monarchs had suddenly resusitated in the bodies of tiny babies?? now how could that be!

Well, according to what the rulers told Jin Woo: A spiritual body cant really die, and once they are "killed" then the remnants of ash will only travel back to the World Tree so that they could be nurtured into another physical form.

The thing is that all of the Monarchs and Rulers have been fighting for so long in the same bodies they forgotten about that teensi tiny absolutely big flaw witin everyones bodies.

Damn you Absilute Being!!-- One of the Rulers curses as he gets a message from the Caretakers of the World Tree that "Congrats on winning against the monarchs! but now take care of them!!"

And no ruler wants nor has the mental state to deal with this, they have fought for eaons and they dont want to kill babies our of rage of their past lives. Some have also started to make plans to live out their best lives so nooo, no one will take on the babysitting a monarch job!

"What About the Shadow Monarch? He has had a family once (but sadly all of them died and Su Ho didnt want to inherit his powers so Jin Woo had to keep on living alone) he can certainly take care of them" The Brightest Fragment of Luminosity while his wings are being chewed on by baby Antares in his tweeny tiny dragon form.

And it hurts.

Meanwhile Jin Woo is out there still mourning as he lives inside his private island, his mana all around said island to hide it from satelites, and just reading novels, getting hobbies or doing small simple tasks in his daily life like a normal housewife. Until a vassal for the Rulers uncerimoniously comes to visit him.

He can see that the man is absolutely nervious, and at the same time almost ready to accept death (what? did the Rulers do something bad? he cant see Earth is hurt in any way) as jin Woo pours a cup of tea for him.

"Mr Sung... there are bad news... and some... good news..."

"Start with the bad." The vassal pales instantly.

"The Monarchs arent dead." and the cup in jin woo´s hand just breaks. and the vassal quickly remarks back "bu- but they- they dont know they are the monarchs!! and they dont even have their original forms anymore--well somewhat-- i mean--"

"Clear Cut, say what happened."

"The monarchs have reincarnated as babies of their original form, they dont know who they are and the rulers are asking for your help in... taking care of them."

"I dont kill babies."

"No! I mean the other kind."

"You want me to babysit the monarchs??"

"The Rulers feel that you are the most qualified."

With a long loooong sigh Jin Woo accepts to go to the World Tree and pick up the babies which... are suprisingly cute! Too adorable!! what the hell ?!?! the beast Monarch is a baby pup sleeping, while Queresha, a human baby girl with a LOT of hair (how??) is using him as a sleeping pillow, then there is the biggest baby legia who looks somewhat human until he sees that he is made of purple rocks. The baby frost monarch, a baby made of ice with big ears is chewing on an ice spike (thankfully round? the World tree´s caretakers made sure to keep the babies safe) like its a bottle. Then there is the Monarch of transfiguration that looks like a ghost with its body all covered by sheets which he wont let go. And on the center id of course a baby dragon sleeping next to a?? sentient rock??? Oh, Iron body Monarch.

"Did the monarchs really look like this before??"

"I cant say for sure since we were seperated at birth. The monarchs lived amongside the common folk, often as poor monster servants while we studied and lived in the Palace of the Absolute Being."

Thus, coming from different backgrounds and circumstance, the Rulers and Monarchs would never be able to understand each other, much less cooperate.

it really does seem like there is no other choice, so Jin Woo grabs them all, using the Ruler´s touch- and opens a portal back to earth.

Almost immediatly they start causing trouble.

The Frost monarch- now named elfie since Jinwoo is still bad at names and forgot his- immediatly starts crying becuase earth is too hot and so jin Woo has to get bellion to use his wings as a fan until the rulers can export some ice to him, or at least until they can move to antartica where Tank is chilling.

Igris is told to keep a close eye on The dragon Monarch, but here is Antares, just sleeping and relaxing with the rock-- oh no wait he just hiccuped and part of the walls fell down due to his breath...

jin Woo on the other hand is trying to keep Legia away from eating so many rocks, he doesnt even know if giants can eat that or not but he doesnt want the literal rock of a monarch to get eaten by him!

The first shadow to come to jin Woo´s aid without the need to command is Beru as he watches Queresha almost make a jump from the window and directly catch her before landed on the water. most bugs arent build for that kind of thing so he guesses she would be either. And the moment Queresha sees him, her eyes lit up and she starts playing with the bug antenas.

For the most part the Transfiguration Monarch- yogummunt as one ruler told him- is idly watching the firework display of Tusk while the Beast Monarch- Jinwoo named him wolfy- keeps chewing on Kaisel´s tail that keeps moving around trying not to get bit!

This has been the most loud Jin Woo´s house has ever been since decades ago when he still had descendants to check upon.

Ok, so I bought some story vouchers to be able to go through the Ruler’s Law event, and I noticed that near the end, Odette realizes that she hadn’t blocked her coworkers while talking about Abigail with Drew. This would imply that, on SwiftSpace, if you block someone it means that they can’t see your posts.

Ruler Vessel!Min Byung-gyu.

I thought about that panel where Byung-gyu visited Cha Hae-in in her dreams about Jin-woo's powers and I realized this could be an au for Byung-gyu being a vessel of a ruler.

Imagine it! Yes, he died, but what if he got back to life thanks to the powers he never thought he had?

The night Byung-gyu had visited Hae-in in her dream was actually his pathway toward arising from the dead. However, he had to hide himself from the public, and that included staying away from his fellow hunters who witnessed his death. Byung-gyu mustn't gain any attention, especially when the whole South Korea knew that its only S-Rank healer had died in the hands of the Ant King, and the only person he'd reveal himself to was Sung Jin-woo.

Also imagine if Byung-gyu had gained the ability to teleport himself? Yeah, he'd show up in front of the room where the Ahjin Guild office was located. Jin-woo answered the door and saw a man with a hood and mask on. After convincing the guild master to let him in, Byung-gyu took off his disguise and Jin-woo was in aghast. He explained that he turned out to be a Vessel and was brought back to life because he had a task that must be finished.

Help the successor of the Shadow Monarch.

Every night, Byung-gyu received a vision that could possibly happen in the future. He warned Jin-woo about the Double Dungeon and the Architect and that he must be careful when fighting the statues. Byung-gyu also ended up being with fighting the statues as well, but in his invincible form where not even the statues could notice his presence, unlike Jin-woo, whose powers had been disabled. He became Jin-woo's aid. And even while in a coma, Byung-gyu still fought in his newfound powers even when the hunters had arrived.

Once the battle was over, and with Jin-woo finally becoming the new Shadow Monarch, Byung-gyu remained invincible and kept a close eye on Jin-woo, knowing that dealing with the Architect had taken a toll on his strength. And he was right. Jin-woo had fainted when he got out of the gate, yet Byung-gyu was there to give his strength back whereas everyone else was panicking.

After winning an argument with Jin-woo about taking a rest, Byung-gyu got asked if he wanted to visit Yoon-ho or any of the hunters. He refused. Byung-gyu was not ready to see their reactions yet.

Maybe once the war was over.

Byung-gyu also knew about the battle with the Monarchs in the future. In his vision, he saw the Beast Monarch, Frost Monarch, and the Parasite Monarch coming to the world to wreck havoc and kill the Shadow Monarch. Every dream he had about the future, he told Jin-woo, including the ones that involved death. Byung-gyu got worried about Jin-woo's death in the hands of such powerful beings, though Jin-woo reassured him that he wasn't going to die.

Eventually when that day came, Byung-gyu gave Jin-woo a "shield" that would keep him from dying as long as he was in the same place as him. I'd like to think that Byung-gyu was unable to die when he was using his powers, especially in his invincible form.

Byung-gyu knew about Antares too, though he chose not to tell Jin-woo to let him take a break and do whatever he wanted that didn't involve fighting. "Go. Enjoy your life and hang out with people." "What about you?" "I'll be fine. Focus on yourself, hyung!"

Byung-gyu spent his time watching historical dramas (bonus: he did it with Beru after eventually forgiving the ant for killing him) and reading all about history. He remembered the teacher's license exam he was supposed to take. It cracked his heart, knowing being a teacher should've been his job instead of getting into dangerous situations, but there was nothing Byung-gyu could do.

Antares would be the last stage in his mission. And once that was over, with Jin-woo as the victor, that was when Byung-gyu would think about himself and how he should live his life for good.
