[Log-in story] Fusetter x Mahoutsukai no Yakusoku
Appearing characters: Figaro, Cain, Faust, Rustica, Bradley, Fusetter
Keep The Secret of Tonight Under Lock and Key

Figaro: Is this the place?
Cain: I think so? That ball of light we saw should be around here somewhere… What was that anyway? It gave me the creeps…
Faust: I don’t sense anything ominous, and the barriers are intact, so I doubt it’s anything serious. We should investigate properly, though. Just in case.
Rustica: There’s something so mystifying about forests at nightfall. One can spot many different critters roaming about, guided by the light of glowing mushrooms and fruits.
Bradley: …Hm? Wuzzat over there, under the tree?
???: …
Bradley: Izzat a… dog?
Figaro: If it is, seeing this kind of breed is a first for me. Have you seen anything like it before, Faust?
Faust: Can’t say I have. It’s unusually long and… pudgy.
Cain: Doesn’t seem hurt or anything either. Heya, buddy, you good over there?
Bradley: Lessee… Giddy-up!
Bradley: …The hell?! It can’t be that long…
Rustica: Is it in the middle of taking a nap perhaps?
Strange dog: …Hruk…
Wizards: !
Strange dog: W-Wah! W-Where am I?!
Bradley & Figaro: It…
Faust, Cain & Rustica: Can talk?!
Strange dog: E-Erm…
Figaro: Well, you don’t see this every day. What’s your name, little guy?
Fusetter: I’m Fusetter!
Figaro: I hope you don’t mind me asking, but just to clarify, you are a dog, right?
Fusetter: Yep! …Whoa, it's the moon! And it’s so big!
Rustica: It’s always been this big. Does it perchance have something to do with your arrival?
Fusetter: Well, I remember looking up and admiring it.
Fusetter: I’d never seen a moon so big and pretty, so I decided to take a picture of it, but… Before I knew it, I ended up here.
Bradley: Where have I heard this story before…
Rustica: It’s easy to lose your way while following the moon.
Faust: I’m more curious how it managed to pass through the barrier. The capital and the market are a long distance away.
Faust: As for what it is… A magical beast or fey of sorts?
Figaro: Could he be from another world?
Cain: Maybe even the same one as the Master Sage?
Figaro: Well, we do live in a world riddled with mystery.
Figaro: It wouldn’t be a first.
Bradley: The Sage never said nothin’ about dogs bein’ able to talk in their world.
Bradley: Say, lil’ fella, where exactly were ya watchin’ the moon from? Got any name you can give us?
Fusetter: Of course, I was at ◯◯◯!
Bradley & Figaro: Come again?
Cain: Sorry, we didn’t quite catch that, can you say it again?
Fusetter: I was at ◯◯◯!
Faust: …Interesting. It’s as if the most important part is evading us.
Figaro: Are you using magic to do this?
Fusetter: I wouldn’t call it magic, but I do have this unique power…
Fusetter: It’s a bit difficult to explain.
Cain: Go on, we’re listening.
Fusetter: Okay, then, can you hold my paw for a moment?
Cain: Of course~ Ooh, you’re so squishy!
Fusetter: Hehe, thank you.
Fusetter: Now, think about something you’ve kept secret recently.
Fusetter: Once you’ve got your secret ready, go on and say it.
Cain: Oookay…
Cain: When I woke up yesterday, my pants were ◯◯◯◯.
Cain: What the…!
Bradley & Rustica: We…
Figaro: Couldn’t understand that last bit at all.
Faust: …Really interesting.
Fusetter: That’s my power: I can keep others’ secrets!
Rustica: Why, it’s just like a little spell. May I give it try as well, Fusetter?
Fusetter: Of course!
Rustica: Thank you. Now, to think of a secret… Oh, I got it.
Rustica: Two days ago, right as I was about to go to bed, I was heading towards ◯◯◯◯, and somehow ended up singing and dancing at ◯◯◯◯◯◯.
Bradley: That’s rad as hell! My turn, lil’ pup.
Bradley: I keep my ◯◯◯ at the manor.
Figaro: Me next.
Figaro: My ◯◯ is ◯◯◯◯◯◯.
Fusetter: Your secrets are safe with me, everyone!
Figaro: I can’t help but feel like we’d be living in a different universe if we’d met you earlier.
Fusetter: I’m happy to help as long as everyone’s getting along.
Faust: …
Fusetter: Would you like to try it too?
Faust: I think I’ll pass.
Rustica: But his paw is really soft.
Figaro: It’s a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, you know. Don’t let it pass you by.
Fusetter: Please!
Faust: …Well, it wouldn’t hurt to try, I suppose.
Faust: …Oh, you really are fluffy all over. …Right, the secret. Let me think…
Faust: …I had ◯◯◯◯◯ for last night’s dinner.
Faust: Wow…
Bradley: Pretty sick, yeah?
Cain: But how are you doing that if you’re not a wizard?
Figaro: I don’t sense any magic, so maybe he’s not a wizard but a magician?
Fusetter: You’ve brought up the word ‘magic’ so many times now, so I have to ask… Are you all wizards?
Figaro: Yep, and we serve the Sage.
Figaro: They came from another world, just like you, and under their guidance, we save the world every year.
Fusetter: Woow, that sounds awesome!
Rustica: And we’re not the only ones. Say, Fusetter, would you like to go back to the manor with us?
Rustica: I’m positive the rest of our friends would be thrilled to witness this unique ability of yours.
Bradley: You Western bunch just wanna toss ‘im ‘round like a hot potato, don’tcha?
Fusetter: Please don’t do that…
Cain: Nah, don’t worry about it. They’re a bit of a special case but mean well.
Cain: But Rustica’s right, why don’t you come with us? I imagine you must be feeling quite lost in another world all by yourself.
Faust: And while your situation might be a bit strange, you don’t seem like you’re here to cause trouble.
Figaro: Yep, the Master Sage and kids will love you.
Fusetter: Aww, you’re all too kind!
Figaro: Nonsense. Maybe the twins will know something about you, so we should talk to them and see.
Figaro: Although, something tells me you’re going to keep all personal information to yourself.
Figaro: I would also like to perform a few check-ups on you.
Fusetter: …What’s a check-up? Will it hurt?
Figaro: No, not all. I’m a world-renowned doctor, you know? I’ll handle you with care.
Fusetter: Ooh, sounds good!
Fusetter: Let’s get along, everyone!

[Translation] Rustica SR Christmas 2024 Card: Unravelling the Gift

Here is the card story only for Rustica SR Card. Poor Mitile has to witness the typical flirting between two Western wizards. Character: Shylock, Rustica, Mitile
Card Story: Intoxicated with the thrill of this game
Episode 1
Rustica: Hiccup...Oh, Shylock. You’re here.
Shylock: Welcome, Rustica. You’re quite flushed. Do you need something from me?
Rustica: Yes. I drank the wine Klaus gave me, and I got so drunk my face turned this red... I want you to take care of me. In this, this place overflowing with desire and whims.
Shylock: ......Oh dear. You’re younger than me, so I guess I have no choice but to aid you. Now, have you drank any water yet? You’re stumbling around. Please get over to that chair.
Rustica: ................
Shylock: Rustica? You’ve suddenly gone stiff. What’s wrong? If you’re going to make a mess, I’ll just go somewhere else.
Rustica: No. I am mesmerized by you.
Shylock: Oh?
Rustica: Your eyes are so beautiful. They’re shining with a bright, transparent red, but also have an unfathomable depth. It’s like a fine wine that’s been aged for decades and has yet to touch anyone’s lips... I think I’m getting more drunk on you than this wine.
Episode 2
Shylock: Getting drunk, you said? That’s quite persuasive coming from someone who’s already drunk. Anyway, shall I bring you some water?
Rustica: You’re so cold. But of course, this part of you is also very charming. I don’t want water. What I want more right now… Is you, Shylock.
Shylock: ................
Mitile: Mr. Rusticaaaaaa! Look, this little bird... Eh!? What are you two doing!? Your faces are too, too close...
Shylock, Rustica: ................
Shylock: Fu fu fu........
Rustica: Ha ha ha!
Mitile: B-both of you, why are you laughing...? Oh, am I interrupting something!?
Rustica: Hardly. We were just laughing because our game was so fun. The “Get drunk and ask Shylock to take care of me” game.
Mitile: “Tak...taking care of you” game?
Shylock: Fu fu, that’s right. Sorry for surprising you, Mitile. That said, Rustica. When you deliberately turned your face red with magic and spoke to me, I was wondering what you were up to.
Rustica: I was also very happy that you immediately agreed to play with me. Maybe next time I’ll really get drunk and have you take care of me then?
Shylock: Fu fu, I respectfully decline. I like playing pretend, but I don’t particularly like troublesome things.
Rustica: Ahaha. I got rejected.
Mitile: ................ (I don’t understand the Western wizards at all in situations like this...)

Rustica: Wants to find his "bride" and turn her into a bird so he can lock her up in a cage so she'll never leave him. Problem is, he doesn't know what his bride looks like, so he just turns random people into birds.

Mahoyaku Jugoya Voice Lines:
Translator’s Note:
Jugoya literally means The 15th Night
十五夜: 十 = Ju = 10, 五 = Go = 5, 夜 = yoru (ya) = night.
In the year 2024, Jugoya falls on September 17th.
According to Japan Unseen, this is because the historical callender marks Juugoya as August 15th, but the date changes every year using the Gregorian Calendar.
Central Wizards:

Oz: The moon tonight is so beautiful that it is disgusting.

Arthur: Perhaps I should refrain from saying this, however…there are times when I cannot help but admire that large moon…

Cain: I remember you saying this world’s moon is big. What’s it like having a sky with such a small moon?

Riquet: There is a clear view of the moon through the big dining room windows late at night. Would you like to come see it with me tonight?
Northern Wizards:

Snow: The fifteenth night is an evening to drink with the moon as a backdrop… I see, it seems there is yet another fun festival in store for us tonight.

White: Sage, I often see you often gaze up at the moon. I wonder if perhaps the moons we each see differ from one another.

Mithra: Sigh… I really will kill you one day.

Owen: Why is it that the moon is feared by all? …Even though it's so beautiful.

Bradley: If that moon weren’t the “Great Calamity”, I’d’ve loved to try drinking to it.
Eastern Wizards:

Faust: Hmph, tonight seems to be another unnecessarily beautiful moonlight night.

Shino: I don’t think I can enjoy watching that calamity.

Heathcliff: Of course, I love the sight of sunlight filtering through the trees during the day, but the way the moon’s sunlight hits the leaves at night is lovely as well… Ah, “moon’s sunlight” doesn’t quite make sense does it…?

Nero: That's the “Great Calamity”; so pretty you can hardly believe it.
Western Wizards:

Shylock: For the troublesome man whose love for the moon destroyed him, it seems to be a joyful night.

Murr: It looks like the moon is pretty close today. But if you get too close, you’ll be pushed back.

Chloe: Do you think the moon has a family? Two “calamities” would be pretty scary, but sometimes I wonder if it ever gets lonely…

Rustica: Master Sage, I heard the moon in your world is quite small. Perhaps it is still a child?
Southern Wizards:

Figaro: Don’t you think tonight’s moon is abominably beautiful?

Rutile: The moon is shining more brightly than usual tonight. Despite the fact that it’s so beautiful, why…

Lennox: Something so beautiful robbed our companions of their lives… I don’t really want to think about it.

Mitile: The moon looks so pretty tonight! I’m a little scared, but for some reason I feel like making a wish.

[Birthday] Rustica (March 19th, 2025)

Twitter thread | Bluesky thread
...Ya~wn... My, has the sun risen already? A few more minutes in bed never hurt anybody, but... Today's a special day for the two of us and I don't want to miss a single moment. Will we reunite in the world of dreams if we fall back asleep together, I wonder? Come lay next to me and let's find out together, Master Sage.
Birthday morning
Rustica: Ya—wn… Good morning, Master Sage. Even though I’m now awake, it still feels as if I’m in a dream.
Rustica: You were the first sight to bless me when I opened my eyes, after all.
Rustica: Well, Master Sage? Will you wish me a happy birthday?
Voicelines
Rustica: Thank you for all the times you’ve had tea with me, and thank you for becoming our Master Sage. …I’m thrilled to have received such heartfelt words from you for my birthday. It’s a blessing to have you by my side on such an auspicious day.
Shylock: I’ve finally caught up to you, Rustica. Pursuing you from the Central markets to the Western boutiques truly brought me back to my days of youth, but now it is time to return home. Everyone’s been waiting for the star of the show to arrive, after all.
Murr: Talking with you is like a whole journey! We’re always finding marvellous things with every twist and turn of the conversation. Even if we get sidetracked, we can still have fun until we reach our final destination! And today’s destination is… “Happy birthday, Rustica!”
Chloe: I’ve gained so many treasures since meeting you. Thank you for all the memories, wisdom, and care you’ve given me and for sharing a part of your life with me. You’re the bestest teacher and friend I could ever have! Happy birthday, Rustica! I love you forever and ever!
Oz: …This birdcage is for you, Wizard of the West. Rustica attempted to turn me into a bird, so I trapped him inside. You may release him when he returns to his senses… There is no need to apologize so gravely. While his eccentricities are beyond me, his heart remains true.
Arthur: For your birthday, I got you and Chloe tickets to the opera. Since Chloe’s worked so hard to make this day perfect from the clothing to the decor, I thought you’d want to acknowledge that too. And what better present is there than spending time with your loved ones?
Cain: Whoa, Rustica!? Tattarara! Ya~y!! …Whew, I’m glad I got a hang of the steps, but why’d ya start dancing with me all of a sudden? …You wanted to celebrate your birthday with a dance? Ahaha, it’s never a boring day with you around. Happy birthday, Rustica!
Riquet: Today is Rustica’s birthday. Since he has such a refined palette, it always makes Nero nervous to cook for him… Or, perhaps it'd be more accurate to say he’s excited. Everything Nero makes tastes amazing to me, but maybe gourmet experts are more fussy.
Snow: Things are rather lively today... A Western wizard’s birthday is truly an occasion for singing, dancing, and merry-making, is it not? We, too, have done our part by preparing an angelic harmony for you. Will you improvise an accompaniment for us? …Happy birthday, Rustica.
White: This is the 30th time we’ve sung our birthday improvisation for Rustica. Unfortunately, our angelic voices are beginning to tire, so… Master Sage, it’s your turn now! It’ll be fine, all you must do is sing for him. Starting in 3, 2,1… Go!
Mithra: Happy birthday, Rustica. You tend to stay up rather late too, don’t you? While you’re normally quite tiresome to be around, I suppose your music has its merits. …Could I ask you to play something for me sometime, should we both find ourselves on a sleepless night?
Owen: Those Western freaks made me join them in wishing Rustica a happy birthday. I agreed only so that they would stop pestering me about it, and sang over Rustica's accompaniment. It went a little like “you will die sad and alone,” but he still looked cheery about it…
Bradley: Yo, Mr. Bridegroom. Since it’s yer birthday, I’ve got a real special treasure to show ya. It’s been through some wear and tear, but you can tell how much it's worth, yea? …Where’d I get this? Now that’s a dumb question to ask a bandit.
Faust: …Oh, Sage. Yes, this is a lute. The Western wizards approached me with an impassioned plea to participate in Rustica’s birthday concert… Since I agreed, I have to take this seriously, right?
Shino: Happy birthday, Rustica. For your present, all of us Eastern wizards are gonna play a song using our magical artefacts. Pretty cool, don’t you think?
Heathcliff: Happy birthday, Rustica. This isn’t an incredibly valuable piece or anything, but I found this beautiful painting I thought you'd like… I love the delicate brushstrokes and the way the flowers and water complement each other. …Huh!? You noticed it as well? I’m glad!
Nero: I gotta thank ya, Mr. Bridegroom. Havin’ a gourmet like you around really makes me think about my craft more. I know I probably don’t compare to the top-class stuff yer used to, but I’m gonna show off everythin’ I’ve learned for ya tonight.
Figaro: Say, are you and Chloe secretly healers? Because every time I talk to either of you, I feel right as rain again. While you might usually be the one bringing peace to others, make sure to take it easy today and let others celebrate and cherish you, ‘kay?
Rutile: Happy birthday, Mister Rustica! I see you’re having your morning cup of tea as per usual. I’ve always thought it makes you look so suave and elegant. …I’m welcome to join in, too? In that case, don’t mind if I— Huh!? This isn’t tea… It’s alcohol!
Lennox: Happy birthday, Rustica. …You want me to give you advice on waking up early so you can surprise Chloe? I’m not sure if I can help, but I’ll do my best. Since we live on the same floor, I can always come and wake you up.
Mitile: Mister Ru—stica— …Oh, you’re up! That’s great! The party’s about to start, so you’ve got to get off the couch. Come on, everyone’s waiting for you in the dining hall. …Huh!? D-Don’t go back to sleep now! M- Mister Chloe! Help!

[Come Inside My Cage] - Rustica SSR Card Story Translation

Ft. Nero and Akira
Conversation with The Heart - Chapter 1
[Dahlia Manor]
It was after the mystery of the Lord, his Lady, and the Beast had been resolved.
Nero and I were bringing Rustica a pot of hot tea while he tuned the manor’s piano by the Lord’s request.
Rustica: …
When we arrived, he was sitting in front of the instrument with a brush-like tool in his hand.
[Knocking]
Akira: Excuse us.
Rustica: Master Sage, Nero. What brings the two of you here?
Nero: Mister Lordy asked us to stop by with some tea for ya.
Rustica: Why thank you. From the fragrance, I presume this tea was made from dahlias.
Rustica: What fortunate timing—I happen to have some sweets that would complement it perfectly.
Rustica smiled as if he’d be struck by a good idea.
Rustica: <Amorest Viesse>
Suddenly, a round tea table and three chairs appeared out of nowhere.
A pristine white cloth flounced itself over the table and an array of beautifully decorated sweets popped up on its surface.
Akira: Wow…! Magic really is incredible!
Akira: (A single spell was able to get this room tea party ready.)
Rustica: Would the two of you like to join me?
Pulling two more tea cups from thin air, Rustica looked at us expectantly.
Nero: Well, I can’t exactly say no after ya went through all this trouble, can I?
Rustica: The more the merrier. There’s nothing so enjoyable as being able to treat some friends. Come join us too, Master Sage.
Akira: Thank you. Don’t mind if I do then.
I took a seat and lifted the warm cup of tea to my lips.
Akira: I heard you were tuning the piano or something like that. What’s the story there?
Rustica: His Lordship asked if I could play a song on his wife’s piano before we departed for home.
Following Rustica’s gaze, my eyes landed on the piano. Its gorgeous surface was marred by countless scratches of all sizes.
Rustica: The piano hasn’t been played since Her Ladyship passed away.
Rustica: As a result, it needs a little tuning to restore its sound to the beautiful music His Lordship remembers.
Akira: I’m sure he’ll be happy to hear such a familiar sound again.
Rustica: Indeed. Once I’m done giving it a clean-up, I’ll start the tuning process.
Rustica: Would the two of you like the watch?
Akira: Can we?
Rustica: But of course.
Akira: I am curious to see how it works.
Nero: Won’t we be a distraction though?
Rustica: Certainly not. If anything, it’ll provide me with extra motivation to do the job perfectly.
Conversation with The Heart - Chapter 2
Rustica: First off, we need to check what the piano currently sounds like.
As Rustica spoke, he placed his long fingers on the keys and began to play.
[Discordant Note]
Rustica: …What do you think?
Nero: Hmm… Can’t say that was a particularly nice sound… I’d call it disturbing even.
Akira: You said it. That was nothing like Rustica’s usual playing.
Akira: I think I got the chills… And not the good kind.
Rustica: Haha, I’d say both of these are rather apt descriptions.
Rustica: Keep that sound in your mind. After the tuning is complete, it’ll be entirely different.
With a knowing smile, Rustica began to work.
There are about three strings associated with every note on the piano.
And it seemed all three needed to be tuned to the same frequency.
Rustica: …
Rustica began to strike the keys on the piano and adjust each string using a special tool. It seemed as if he was searching for the purest notes.
After some time passed, Rustica laid down his tool.
Rustica: The tuning should be complete now. Shall we listen to how the music’s changed?
[Piano Playing]
Nero & Akira: !!
It was the same melody as before, yet completely different.
Akira: This sounds like your usual playing again! The music is so soothing.
Nero: Right? Gotta say, it’s a lot nicer when all the notes fit together.
Nero: A little change goes a long way.
Rustica: Ahaha, it appears our instrument was originally quite the beauty.
Rustica: Although, its capacity for change was astonishing as well.
Rustica: The discordant sounds of its untuned state provided an electrifying chill. However, I’m glad it could return to its true form.
Akira: That’s true… Thank you for letting us watch, Rustica.
Nero: Yeah, I didn’t realize so much effort went into it.
Akira: Me neither. Especially when you had to raise the piano lid—talk about actual heavy lifting.
Akira: Actually, now that I think about it, you didn’t use any magic at all to clean and tune the piano.
Rustica: While that would be entirely possible…
Rustica: I thought doing everything by hand would allow me to truly appreciate the time our Lord and Lady spent with this piano more.
Akira: How so?
Conversation with The Heart - Chapter 3
Rustica smiled and tenderly ran his fingers across the keys.
Rustica: The scratches on the keys, the looseness of the strings…
Rustica: All these details reveal how this piano was played, how it was cherished.
Rustica: Even though its partner has passed away, the love and warmth shared between them are forever engraved in its being.
Rustica: Additionally, His Lordship personally asked me to revive the music that once played in these halls. As a result, I want to give his request the full respect and consideration it deserves.
Nero: So that’s why you didn’t use magic. It’s impressive how much thought you put into this stuff.
Rustica: Thank you, although, you feel the same way, don’t you, Nero?
Nero: Me?
Nero looked as if he’d been attacked from behind.
Rustica: You don’t use magic while cooking, right?
Rustica: That truly shows how much care you have for both the food and the people eating it.
Akira: He has a point. Not only is your cooking delicious, but I can also taste the thoughtfulness in every bite.
Akira: After each mission, I really look forward to eating one of your homemade meals.
Rustica: I feel the same way.
Akira: Thank you so much for all the time you invest in us.
Nero: Wow, I, uh, really dunno what to say.
Nero: Though… I guess I do pay more attention to who I’m cookin’ for when I do everything by hand.
Nero: It’s easier to adjust the flavorin’ to certain people’s taste for instance, or if there’s an ingredient they don’t like, I can swap it out for somethin’ else.
Nero: Since you can do everything in an instant with magic, there’s not really time to think about that kinda stuff.
Rustica: I completely understand. While there are general guidelines for tuning, what determines the “perfect note” varies from person to person.
Rustica: As such, a song will change depending on the players and listeners.
Rustica: Thus, one could say that my music and Nero’s cooking are both ways of conversing with our audience.
Nero: A conversation, huh?
Nero: So, uh… Are y’all hungry?
Nero: I could borrow the kitchen for a bit and whip somethin’ up for ya.
Rustica: Would you?
Nero: Sure. An’ if you’ve got any requests, just say the word.
Rustica: In that case, could you make some of my favorite savarin?
Nero: Consider it done.
Nero: Anythin’ for you, Sage?
Akira: I can really ask for anything?
Rustica: Whatever you desire, Nero’s sure to pull it off perfectly.
Akira: Ahaha, you’re right. I’ll take you up on the request then. What should I ask for…
The three of us headed to the kitchen together.
Although the sound of our footsteps didn’t quite align, somehow, they seemed to harmonize anyways.
Thanks to a Huge Fan - Card Episode
[Living Room]
Akira: That lord had such an emotional reaction to hearing the piano tuned again.
Akira: He said it was as if his wife had come back to life.
Rustica: Haha, it was truly worth all the effort then to see him so happy.
Akira: Can all musicians tune their instruments like that?
Akira: Back home, I got the impression that you needed a specialist, so I was surprised you knew how to do it.
Rustica: It depends on the instrument, but there are many people who can do a simple adjustment before a performance.
Rustica: However, for a more elaborate job such as that piano, it is indeed more common to rely on a specialist.
Akira: Oh, that makes sense. So did you have to take classes on tuning or something?
Rustica: Well, I am a wizard.
Rustica: Rather than taking classes, you could say I’ve simply lived long enough to learn from experience.
Rustica: Although, I do vaguely recall a fan I once had who was a tuning specialist. I believe they taught me a thing or two about the subject.
Akira: You learned directly from a master? That’s amazing. How did this happen?
Rustica: If memory serves me right, they said it’d be unbearable should the day come when they could no longer assist me and the heavenly sounds of my music eroded at last…
Rustica: And stated that they wanted my every performance to be as beautiful as the last, even if they could no longer be there to witness it…
Akira: (They must've been one huge fan…!)
Home Screen Voice Line
“How do I ask for favors so easily? …While nothing comes to mind right now, I’ll tell you as soon as something does. Now that you’re here though, shall we share a warm pot of tea while I think? …Ahaha, splendid! Our tea party for two starts now.”

Sincerely, a Rainbow of stories for you:
Please Tell Me the Story of the Rainbow: Part 12

(Location: Magic Manor, Shylock’s Bar, Central Kingdom, Night Time)
Akira: (I see...the Northern Country is a meritocracy, where only the strong thrive. It's a harsh place for humans to live, but because of that, Wizards hold strong positions in society.
From the perspective of Owen, a Northern Wizards who lived somewhere like that, of course something like this may sound strange.)
...Do you think so too, Bradley? That it’s strange for wizards to be chased out of their homes by humans?
Bradley: That's right: Cowards who run away after being mocked by mere humans lack pride.
If ya’ have power, use it and live as you please.
Akira: Power…
Rustica: A person’s Innate strength is their hands and feet.
To that young woman, seeing that world is nothing special. Just like we wizards use magic.
Akira: ...It's certainly something to think about. As you say, Rustica, whether it’s normal or special doesn't make that much of a difference.
I had heard that Luka was a witch with exceptional powers… I may have approached her like that too.
Akira: It's difficult. By trying to understand someone, sometimes you push them further away.
I feel a sharp pain deep inside my chest.
Shylock smiled at me elegantly.
Shylock: What a good night. Debates like this turn sweet alcohol bittersweet, and give it more flavor.
Special or not, the mystery surrounding the author Luka is certainly expanding.
The right to look into such a world is given only to eyes that have not yet been tainted… Isn't it like the beginning of a wonderful novel?
His flexible fingers raise the glass, and the ice makes a sound. I thought it was the sound of night falling.
(Location: Magic Manor, Courtyard, Central Kingdom, Day Time)
Akira Thank you very much.
Rutile: Mitile, Riquet, if anything happens, make sure to report it to Figaro-Sensei and the others.
Mitile: Yes! I'll search diligently!
Riquet: Of course, Mitile and I will do our best! Please leave everything to us!
It was the fourth day of the exhibition. It had become a daily routine for Rutile and I to see off the wizards in charge of security.
Figaro: I’m glad to hear that everything seems to be running smoothly so far.
Akira: Yes, but I heard it's very crowded every day. I hope things will stay safe until the end...
Figaro: I'm sure it'll be fine, leave it to us for today.
Looks like Leno will be coming with me.
Lennox: Yeah. Rest assured, even if thieves break in, we did some training.
Akira: Training…?
Figaro: Rutile, if Luka comes to the venue, I’ll keep an eye on her. I'll let you know if anything happens when we get back.
Rutile: Thank you very much. It's a simple request, but I'm sorry I can't accompany you today.
Figaro It’s fine, keep up the good work.
Lords Snow and White reminded me, if something happens, I'll leave her to them.
Lennox: Even now, we are all connected to mysterious creatures that we cannot even imagine.
I used to live in the mountains, so there were times when I felt something strange when deep in nature or in places with strong magical power...
I'm a little worried about a child facing that presence alone.
Mitile and the others, who finished preparing for their departure, appear as Lennox speaks calmly.
Mitile: Figaro-Sensei, Mr. Leno! We have to go soon, the exhibition's about to start.
Riquet: Tardiness is strictly prohibited. We must fulfill our responsibilities properly.
Mitile and Riquet: Well then, let's go!
Akira Please come back safely!
Astride their brooms, the wizards soared through the sky.
Rutile and I watched until they were out of sight.
Akira: I the exhibition can continue without incident.
Rutile: …Yes, I hope her new work can be unveiled safely.
Rutile gently traced the cover of the picture book she borrowed from Arthur and spoke softly, as if praying.
Akira (Huh…?)
Suddenly, sparkling, rainbow colored scales seemed to sparkle in Rutile's hands.
However, they disappeared in the blink of an eye, melting into space.
Was what I saw now... an illusion?
(Location: ???)
Luka: (I wonder what this nostalgic smell is… A distant season...the smell of sunlight…)
…Ah. I started remembering little by little. It was… a hot afternoon.
I ran, ran, ran... before I knew it, I had passed through the forest and found myself in the city.
I was supposed to be fleeing from people who did terrible things, but I ended up wandering into a place with lots of people.
I sat down at the base of a tree by the street and cried a little at the faint smell of the tree.
At that moment, something landed on my head suddenly.
A hat that smelled like fragrant wheat: I thought that was the smell of sunlight.
When I looked up, I saw slightly tanned skin and amber eyes.
That person asked "Are you lost?".
A human. If I don't run away, something terrible will happen to me again.
That's what I thought, but the soft smell of sunlight made me feel at ease and suddenly I was tired…
I shook my head slowly.
I'm not lost. Because there's no one looking for me.
...I had been walking for days, and at that moment I finally lost consciousness. The next time I woke up, I was on a fluffy bed.
There was a wet towel on my head and a gentle voice at my bedside.
"How are you?"
I heard the sound of the window opening, and the sunset-colored wind gently swayed my hair.
I could see thin clouds through the window.
A beautiful color: a mixture of yellow flowers blooming under the pale red sun, with just a hint of verdant grass.
I want to draw those clouds.
With that thought in mind, I absentmindedly surrendered to the wind.
"Hey, did you draw this?"
Eventually, the man shyly showed me a thin stack of paper and asked me.
I draw pictures of scenery and creatures whenever I feel like it. My own world...
I quickly snatched back the stack of papers.
Being able to see that world makes it difficult to live in this one. Even though I was young, I knew that.
“I apologize for looking at something so important to you without permission,'' the man said, bowing his head sheepishly.
His bright hair swaying in the evening wind reminded me of a wheat field.
...Ah, that's why it smells like sunlight.
I wondered why I thought so. But I thought so anyways.
Like warm sunlight.
The man spoke with a serious look on his face.
"You paint a very beautiful world."
“Like a daydream I had when I was young: beautiful and somewhat sad, like a memory that lives on in a corner of my mind...''
Then he handed me a clean sketchbook and new art supplies.
“...I want to know more about you and your world. Could you please draw more?"
“Of course, I won't force you, but... You're good at drawing, so I thought you might like it."
The person laughs, a slight wrinkle forming at the corner of his eyes. It was the first time I made someone laugh like this.
I wonder what that feeling was. My chest felt warm and somehow sad...
“Oh! Why are you crying!?”
The man dropped the art supplies in a panic, leaving them scattered as he looked into my face.
“Did you not like it? Or are you hurt somewhere? Your eyes will get swollen if you cry too much. We should use cold water and a cloth…”
Luka: Hey, what color are those clouds?
"Huh…?"
I pointed out the window, at the strangely colored clouds. The man leaned forward and put his hand on the window frame.
“Well...it's just dusk, so I think orange is safe. No, maybe it's vermilion..."
Luka: Yellow, pale red, and bright green.
That's how it looks to me.
Suddenly, eyes brighter than the setting sun, He turned towards me.
Involuntarily, my shoulders trembled. But the usual, scathing words didn’t come.
The golden eyelashes that framed his eyes blinked a few times in curiosity.
“… Is that so?”
“You live in a beautiful world, don't you?"
He laughed a little, like a child.
I panicked, trying to think, to come up with something.
None of the quickly changing expressions on his face were the cold ones I knew.
The first person who didn’t deny me and my world. He said she wanted to know more, without ever calling it creepy...
(Location: ???)
“Ah... that's right. I'll be calling you often, so If you don't mind, may I ask for your name?"
I can see my reflection in his straight, Amber eyes.
…Maybe I was a lost child after all.
There was someone here who could find me.
Luka: Luka.
What's your name······?
Luka: How nostalgic… it makes me feel a tingly in the back of my head.
Roxy... Roxy...! Oh, thank goodness, here you are!
It looks like you’re napping... yes, I was dreaming… a nostalgic dream.
…Ah. I hear a voice from outside the picture book, it sounds like Aslan is calling...
But I wonder why... I'm very sleepy… like my body is saying it doesn't want to wake up…
I… I wonder why I’m so sleepy…
