hiiiiii!!!!! im writing to say that i really enjoyed the "the truth" fanart you made (banger title and banger piece imo). mind of i analyse it? the great use of negative space really makes silver feel small in comparison to the coloured background. silver's uniform, the window grilles and the black void all share the same colour, making it seem like the void is "seeping" into other aspects of the drawing. i also think it represents silver's belonging to diasomnia and briar valley, seeing as black is their singature colour; the black outlines and creates the narrative of the picture, much like silver's upbringing forms his worldview and identity ... which is uhhh a bit problematic considering, well, "the truth" the dawning sky ofc represents siver's true origins. he's the son of the dawn knight after all, the very same person that killed his liege's mother, (probably) father and invaded his home. the blood spilt by his bio father stains silver's hands, making him feel guilty. the harsh bright blood-red colour of the sky really represents that, silver's literally bathed in blood if you cover the upper part of the picture but the metaphor wouldn't be complete without the sword ingraved on the window pane (honeslty i only noticed it when other pp pointed it out in tags lol). it once again calls back to silver's origins (bc dawn KNIGHT... knights have a sword... and it's like... a Dawn Sword...), but, more importantly, it symbolized silver's guilty conscience and the weight of the truth coming down on silver - the sword is LITERALLY hanging over his head. the realisation's going to kill him bc it destroys the identity he had for his whole life, recontextualises his entire existance and his relationships with those closest to him. he's no longer (at least in silver's mind) a fellow countryman, a brother, a beloved son or a trusted knight - he's a traitor, killer or a descendant of one. the composition of the painting really highlights his "otherness": he's wearing the dorm's uniform and yet he's standing infront of a window that clearly doesn't belong there. the sword hangs over him like a red flag, screeming that he's "not who you think he is" what i specifically like is the relationship between the silver's figure and the viewer. the drawing is clearly from a third-person perspective, perhaps we're seeing it through the eyes of a more knowledgeable character who knows the whole truth, like lilia. silver, on the other hand, is oblivious: he has his back to the window, an inquisitive (or a neutral, kind of child-like??? its hard to tell) expression and no mouth. the fact that silver doesn't have a mouth imo symbolises he had no say in this situation, "the truth" is beyond his control. it could also represent the loss of his identity

anyway, your art really struck me! this silver piece scratched a very particular part of my brain and i wanted to share my feelings with you to show my appreciation!!! hope you don't find this weird lol <3
