Reasons why I ship Nisaac. Nigel did not cop a literal bullet AS WELL as a hand to the face for me to disrespect Isaac's game by not shipping it.

Initial thoughts on the unused “spec script” for season 1 episode 1:

--Diego sent Klaus money every week. Utterly unsurprising to me.  But painful.  I can't explain Klaus's feelings for Diego easily, it's so complicated. because no one did more for him during his worst years, but also no one understands him as a person less (except maybe Luther).  They are both sensitive (secretly, in Diego’s case) and resilient, but beyond that, they could not be more different. Diego is an ambitious loner; Klaus is a passive and social being.  Diego processes by acting, Klaus by talking and feeling.  So he loves Diego and he's so grateful but a lot of it is tinged with shame over having been the person he no longer is, and he knows Diego still needs to provide for him to feel like a good brother, but he no longer needs the same things from Diego, he just needs a brother to spend quality time with.  As @immortalled​ said, “I think Diego is just naturally that kind of person who gets fulfillment from and wants to help people because it's the right thing, and especially with his family because he loves them. Buuuuuut I do think that's holding Diego back because he doesn't really have like... Much identity? Outside that?”

--Klaus went to prison for manslaughter.   So that means his "joke" to the guy with the artificial eye, when posing as Five’s father, about being “passed around,” is based on experience and i am going to die ugh KLAUS.  This does not put really dark experiences involving multiple kinds of assault out of the realm of possibility, and it complicates and adds several layers to his C-PTSD.  It may also add to his already complicated relationship with BDSM and  not roleplayed with a safeword, but LITERAL, torture, as discussed here. 

--Viktor visited Klaus in jail, and they had a lovely conversation about Viktor’s book, which Klaus is later seen in the actual show reading, and evidently Klaus was supportive of and kind to Viktor...despite being the one in prison. For me this adds nuance to the fact that Klaus balked the most stubbornly at locking Viktor up in his childhood PRISON CELL in the basement of the Academy, and later, in Season 2, rushed to and hugged and kissed Viktor, alongside Allison.  It also augments what I think is Klaus’s biggest virtue and flaw: acceptance.

Aziraphale is the most character ever. He ran out of ideas so he declared war on hell. He canonically says fuck. His favourite colour is yellow. He’s literally an angel and can speak every language on earth but still isn’t fluent in french. He told his boyfriend to shoot him for his magic act and made him go through with it when their miracles weren’t working. He gave away his flaming sword and then lied about it for the next 6000 years. He has a bookshop that never sells books. No one’s doing it like him.

How jolly Aziraphale is about the whole thing. I asked for a rubber duck! I made Michael miracle me a towel!

Whereas Crowley is having trauma flashbacks about Gabriel telling his only friend to Shut His Stupid Mouth And Die. The memory seems to hurt too much to say. It's another thing he hasn't told Aziraphale to protect him.

But also that that it confirmed their existing biases of Heaven and Hell. They both know Hell is wicked, that's the point of it. But only Crowley sees Heaven for what it really is, and Aziraphale wasn't there for the event that might have mad him see it.
