SCP-8445, "The Red-Eyed Tongue Frog"

Containment Procedures: SCP 8445 is to be kept in a standard animal habitarium, designed to replicate the humidity and flora found in the tropical rainforests in northern Oaxaca, Mexico. Common flies are to be deposited into containment regularly at intervals of 12 hours to stimulate as well as feed SCP 8445. Due to its shy nature, checks on the water must be made daily to make sure it is just camouflaged, and not escaped.

Description: SCP-8445 is an amphibian of similar genetic origin to that of the Agalychnis callidryas, otherwise known as the Red-Eyed Tree Frog. SCP-8445 bears a striking resemblance with the only immediate difference being the lack of orange feet and hands, which instead are a pale pink. When feeling threatened SCP-8445 will shoot out their tongue to the closest object that will propel them the furthest distance from their threat. The tongue wraps rapidly around the object, covering it with a substance akin to a rapid set MMA adhesive.

SCP-8445 was discovered following a lead of local gossip in the town of [REDACTED]. Following this hearsay led to the discovery of the house of Dr. ████████, who was a renowned Herpetologist in several anomalous academic circles. After agents entered the premises, they discovered the corpse of the doctor with a bullet wound through his head. Instances of SCP-8445 were found eating at the flies around his decomposing body. After approaching, the instances fled through a hole in the window assumed to be the same one where the impact of the bullet went through.

After a month of exploring and searching, Research Team Delta-09 was able to recover fifteen (15) instances and safely contain them for transfer to site-09. Research Team Alpha-02 is continuing to look into the details of the assassination of the doctor, to make sure this event doesn’t repeat for any other anomalous scientific mind.

What's that form of Myriad that has a mouth in the back of their head? And is there any info on them? Very very very curious!

This is the Lure, a form taken from an older man infected with a parasite that had merged with their body, eliminating the host's own appetite and instead providing nutrients by the maw on the back of their head. The mouth itself is able to ingest just about any material (including some unexpected ones, such as steel bars), emitting a scent that compels victims to investigate, clamping down on it once in range of its teeth. It then takes a few seconds for it to break down the material to convert it into nutrients for the body and a satisfying taste in the host's own mouth.

This was another "accidental" recording, in which Dr. Myriad investigated the maw by placing the medallion in it. The maw, unable to ingest it properly, choked, and once it upchucked the blockage... was killed and recorded.

Updated Spreadsheets: External Containment Bureau!

External Containment Bureau is a Forged-in-the-Dark game about agents working for a secret government agency dedicated to keeping the paranormal secret from the mundane world. It's inspired by shows like SCP, The X Files, and The Office, and I've just updated my Google Sheets for it!

The sheets include abilities and gear that self-populate when you choose an item from the assigned drop-down, and there is also a Mission Clock to help the GM track clues, complications, and NPCs!

As always, there is also a Safety Sheet, with CATS, Lines & Veils & Lures, and a standard list of safety tools.

Personnel File: Manor Workers

Description: The entities that make up the Manor Workers are just that, employees and workers of SCP-3992, "The Manor". They come in many differing forms and with different roles to fill. Their exact count is unknown, as there as little as five seen working but there have been reports of up to fifty personnel spotted on the premises.

Most of the personnel were present in 3992 before it was manipulated by Overseers Two and Four. Thus, they seemed to have an immunity from becoming lost or disoriented from the constant spatial manipulation. Additionally, those who were present appear to have been deemed "worthy" and won't be harmed by the Manor. Visitors need to be more careful and often cannot be told apart from friend or foe.

The following is a list of the more frequent workers seen:

Mr. Deeds - SCP 662-1 in the flesh, albeit now as a werewolf. He has gained more autonomy following his clapper being attached to the bell. However, it appears he's staying on his own, and not necessarily because he's duty-bound to the original ringer. Head of the cleaning crew.

Omrich Varron - The eldest butler prior to Mr. Deeds' arrival. He is often found delivering sweets and snacks to the people in the Manor. He is serious yet kind, and is always willing to aid the man who surpasses him in one day, Mr. Deeds. Former head butler, now just a personal aid

Teala Vasquez - Gruff and serious, Teala Vasquez is the head maid of the Manor. Armed with a hidden shotgun and a legacy of murder (being the daughter of the infamous Murderous Maid serial killer), she executes her duties with meticulous and precise fashion.

Halrin Eustafed - Skittish and clumsy, Halrin is the only servant of the Manor who has been confined to working in one section of the Manor, that being the kitchen, as he seems to be unaffected by any outside problems that would ordinarily cause problems. Turned into a bird on accident.

Donna Sue - A spectre of an old maid. She passed due to the Time Wrym imprisoning the Manor in a time loop. She was caught between a plane of life and death, and has been tethered to the Manor unable to move on.

Percival "Percy" Wiggins - A young man and head mechanic who seems to be bossed around by his tools. He genuinely believes them to be talking to him, and others have claimed that a faint whispering can be heard from them.

"Nico" - Overseer Four's former factotum named [DATA DELETD], he now operates as a cuddly feline butler who likes to play with yarn, fight off crows, and hunt the gardens for mice. Petting is encouraged.

Eleanor - A mysterious young woman who is often not found without her jade tea cup up to her lips. She appears often without warning and disappears just as quickly. Scans show she's not anomalous in regards to spatial traveling. She is always in charge of tea time and the Parlours.

Eliza Piscanzo - A bubbly lass who is often found with dirt all over her. She's the enthusiastic gardener, and is almost always located in the back, trimming hedges or gathering bouquets. Has a fear of statues.

Harle Eros - A muscular bellboy and room service captain for guests staying at the Manor. He can be found delivering food or tidying up the many sleeping quarters littered throughout the Manor. Apparently in a relationship with one of Overseer Four's sons, █,█,█,█,█

time passes, the industrial wastes of eastern mudos is reclaimed by freemuds, both adopters of native traditionalism and reclaimers of factories alike. its not completely harmonious, and magog 'union busters' continue to keep pressure on the edges of their lost territories, but for a lot of people the revolution has reached its peak. life settles into a new semblance of normalcy.

howler, her revenge list of tormentors crossed off at last, keeps her promise to end her violent vendetta and disbands the rebel defects, who go their separate ways for the most part. howler reclaims herself - her body, her identity, her old name. lora is still not the little girl who was taken from her burning village all those years ago, but now it's on her terms who she becomes. she picks up the pieces of what's left of her tribe, the mudella, with abe's tentative help. the brand on her hand is more symbolic than the mark of some divine destiny, and lora isnt convinced that she's made any difference in mudella's status as a recently extinct people, but her friends, her family, all take up that forgotten symbol as their own.

max, now miles away from the doll-like, objectified crimp the late mizz mayven made her into, will always bear the permanent marks and health issues that come with excessive crimp modifications. its her development into a post-industrial drone that makes her feel like a woman on her own terms, diametrically compared lora to taking synthetic hormones to achieve similar drone traits to more masculine ends. her talents and experience in tech contribute to developing an independent infrastructure for communication among mudokon settlements, inadvertently making her a more important figure among the tribeless, queenless reclaimers than she expected to become. with her experience in management and playing a certain role, she handles the responsibility of leadership more graciously than... some muds.

drill, who joined the gang as a deeply hurt, angry teen, grows into a happier, healthier adult. putting himself through therapy (what semblance of it could be found in the wastes) leads him to try helping other freemuds process the trauma of their former lives. lora adopts him, properly, through ritual establishing him as her son. he's the first to cover up the old marks of his enslavement with the mudella symbol, proud to show off his connection to his mother and family. he still busts her balls and reads her for filth on the regular, though, but some things never really change.

mal, who had spent unknown decades of his life as a body, as a non-person, doesn't expect there to be anything for him among both natives and freemuds. his connection to the vykkers and their monstrosity is inescapable to him, but lora insists that his talents and knowledge of industrialist medicine are extremely valuable, and desperately needed among the natives, whose medicinemuds are dwindling. its an immense adjustment, and lora has to bribe abe who in turn bribes his own native contacts, but mal undergoes the proper training and rituals to become a healer on native mudokon terms. he's cynical about it, at first; his modernized methods of healing are mostly foreign, and rightfully distrusted by natives who know vykkers as butchers. he stands out, and acts eccentrically even compared to neurotic former scrubs. but over time, he becomes accustomed to the traditional ways, even lauding them as he finds peace with their meditation practices; a better alternative to the dependency on self-sedation that helped him cope with the horrors before.

trip, unfortunately (or, perhaps fortunately) goes out with a bang, and ostensibly a lot of causalities and lasting property damage hits to the cartel. it was what he always wanted, and its what the rest of the gang accepts. lora has his old hardhat, adding the mudella symbol as a final trophy post-mortem.

slogmeat, after [redacted] with [redacted], eventually moves in with [redacted]. a bittersweet ending to some, since theres no 'fixing' him, and theres no bringing back [redacted] to begin with, but he's loved and well taken cared for, with [redacted] as a part of his life again at last.

heres an SCP AU i planned on making for Pico's School,,, but i dont think I'm ever gonna finish it or pick it back up for a while at least-

i only got like this much of the designs done anyway x_x this is why i cant take breaks from rendering. nothing was finalized either, i felt unsatisfied with the designs in my head.

if u wanna read the few days result of my spontaneous short-lived interest in SCP, i did a small rant or whatever below

i just wanna premise by sayin this was a very sudden fixation on SCP before i ended up dropping it because it was so much information to process and my brain struggles to focus on words when theres a lot of them (ironic bcz i write a damning amount of words). I'll pick it back up one day, for sure. eventually. T-T

Darnell was planned to be a researcher, obviously in the chemistry field. I'd say with his knowledge of accelerants and fires, he could work in the fire suppression department, buuut... i mean.. he would probably just watch it grow bigger tbh. or be the cause of it in the first place. to the chemistry field he goes- they cant get rid of him despite the amount of 'accidents' that occur because hes just rlly rlly good at his job.

Pico was planned to be an on-site guard, which i figured would suit him given his apparent knowledge of weapons (which i hc he knows how to do a little bit of everything thanks to Cap John) and also cause Fulp said he would be interested in Comp. Sci, which is a skill utilized in protecting information from data breaches n stuff like that. i think.

Nene, i figured would work somewhere in the medical department. i could totally see her working alongside scp-999 to help keep patients (and herself) from going batshit crazy. ALTHOUGH im reconsidering now because she is technically an anamoly herself given that she can't die, or has a "kenny effect." she would have to be labeled as "safe" to be able to wander around with scp-999.. but i don't think it would be safe to let her roam around on her own, she would def be trying to kill herself or someone else, esp in the foundation i mean girly cant even handle one dead body (understandable).

Cass and Alucard were gonna be SCPs,, also was considering how to add the rest of the G-squad but i didnt get to think that far ahead (damn you college).

ill be fr tho, im not rlly sure about any job specifications and classes in the foundation, i read a little bit in the wikidot pages, and i mostly remember object classes and details about amnestics for some reason, plus the little bit of previous knowledge i got from binge watching SCP animations but man is it overwhelming- I WILL CONQUER THE SCP LORE ONE DAY !! ITS GONNA HAPPEN !!!
