Hi question, what's a transphobic dildo?

It's a dildo deliberately designed with transphobic imagery and originally using a transphobic slur as its name (although they did change that). I wrote about it on my blog but the tl;dr/bullet points version:

•the dildo depicts a cartoonish figure with breasts and an over-the-top large penis for usage, similar to how trans women are often sexualized and fetishized

•it was originally named "futanari" which is a transphobic slur/porn category. It's since been renamed "the siren" which...y'know...is a creature in the guise of a woman who lures men to their deaths so isn't, uh, exactly a better choice.

•at no point did they actually speak with any trans women about the creation of this dildo, nor does it in any way benefit trans people; it's purely for the profit of several cis people (Uberrime, which made it, and SheVibe, who as far as I can tell commissioned it and is run by cis individuals).

•since I'm not myself a trans woman or trans feminine person I realized it wasn't necessarily my call, so I spoke to some trans feminine friends/Patreon patrons who were interested in discussing it with me. Their responses are in the post but are summarized as "Ew, what the fuck is this?"

Sorry if this is kind of a crap summary but I'm about to go eat and do stuff that involves Not Being On The Internet for a bit, but that's enough.

Hi, I'm kind of embarrassed to ask, but I'm not really sure where to start looking and I figured you'd be a good resource. I'm AFAB and I'm interested in packing, but I have no idea where to look to purchase something. I've done like, the sock trick to get a bulge but I want something a little more sturdy? What should I be looking for? I started going online but it was kind of overwhelming

Packers aren't something I've done a lot of research into, but I can point you in a few directions!

I found this guide to packing from FTM Guide that has a lot of good info. Some of the questions to ask when you're looking for a packer are whether you also want it to be a stand-to-pee (STP) device or a pack-and-play toy. A lot of packers have some degree of multifunctionality, so deciding what you do/don't want will help narrow things down. Material is also going to be a factor. I would highly recommend getting something made of soft silicone especially if you're going to be using it as an STP or a sex toy. A lot of soft plastics are prone to degrading and harboring bacteria over time, so they would need to be replaced whereas silicone should last a good long time. So If I were looking for a packer, my top criteria would be function and material, then size and color according to personal preference.

As for finding them, this is where my knowledge starts to run short. I was able to find a pretty big variety of low-budget packers on SheVibe ranging from $15-35 (and many higher if you have a bigger budget) by just searching for packers. I would recommend starting there!
