So this is actually an insane reveal if you really think about it. (Or maybe I’m just being insane about it.)

Because like. “always putting everybody else first” wouldn’t exactly be my top choice in describing canon!Nox. But, If Nox is a naturally selfless person (who has been convinced through his role as a villain/villainess that he can’t be such), that explains a lot of his actions.

When he first helps Chase out in Cinderfella, it’s pretty out there, considering he’s established to be a huge asshole up until that point. But if it’s just who he is, wanting to help others deep down, it makes sense.

You could say he stopped Deacon from falling in Sick Days because Chase would be upset if Deacon got hurt. And I’m sure part of that is the reason. But also what if he just wanted to?

In Still Waters, he stays with Chase to comfort him — even if he’s putting himself at risk —which I think is his most extreme example of self-sacrifice.

Nox is constantly thinking of others before himself, and the reason he probably doesn’t act on it is because he’s so sure he’s a villain. So, he outwardly acts accordingly. (And also severe trust issues, that too.)

I’m guessing, then, in season 2, we’re going to see him learn how to express that more caring and selfless part of himself. Which I could not be more excited for. :3
