Piastri was asked if he thought a one-stop might be possible, but said no. [On Lap 32,] Leclerc is given the ‘box to overtake’ call on Norris as Ferrari looked to attempt an undercut. But Norris then pitted, prompting Leclerc to stay out. He was then told they will extend the stint to build a tyre delta. In the second stint running in largely free air, Sainz pushed Ferrari discussion on the one-stop strategy possibility. The pit wall and Sainz discussed whether they should cover Hamilton’s second pit stop or remain on the one-stop option – with Sainz favouring the latter after reporting that his tyres were still good. At this point the information is given to Leclerc that Sainz is targeting a one-stop strategy. Leclerc agrees that it is the best opportunity to win and immediately begins work on the tyre saving required to pull it off. [McLaren third stints vs Ferrari staying out] [Having boxed with 15 laps remaining,] Piastri needed to average 1.5 seconds per lap quicker [than his pre-stop pace] to make the pit stop beneficial. His first lap after the pit stop was indeed 1.5 seconds faster than before. However, he had five back-markers to overtake as well as Sainz. The back-markers cost variable amounts of lap time and Sainz then cost Piastri around two seconds of race time – which is crucial when considering Piastri only finished 2.6 seconds behind Leclerc at the flag. So although Leclerc then took the plaudits and the glory on the Monza podium, he couldn’t have pulled off such a famous victory without the help of his Ferrari team mate.

neither of them know what's wrong with john yet but it's obvious that something is wrong, and part of what arthur says to him at the farm is fear that it's his fault somehow. he can tell, and has been able to tell since addison, that something is up with him (this bizarre insistence on the order, the immediate shutdown of certain subjects, the prickliness at random times), but he's missing such a fundamental piece of the puzzle that john is standing there lying to his fucking face and arthur's like, maybe the problem is i'm not trusting him enough.

which is an echo of a similar sentiment from the nightmare, actually-

i feel like since john got so defensive of yellow so quickly arthur keeps circling back to that sentiment every time he thinks about whatever's going on now. like all of the talk abt "failing" is just a distorted, reapplied version of what john has said abt yellow. he's so certain it's his fault somehow.

and part of that is probably just the Guilt™ but i feel like part of it is also, like, if it's his fault then he can fix it. if this is a repeat of what he fucked up with yellow, then he can course-correct and bring him back. if it's out of his control... then he's going to lose him, and there's nothing he can do about it. of those two options, of course he'd choose the first one every time.

thats still in the works!!!!!!!! a recent development with oscar is he has a slight playboy streak that he developed just as a consequence of picking up girls that lime rejects!! its one of those "Ah lime turned me down!!! but this guy (oscar) is kinda cute too...he seems like the wholesome type..." and then for reasons unspecified, it doesnt work out. no one ever SEES it end, its just "Oh so hows [girl oscar is dating]?" "Oh we broke up! Yeah she didn't like all the ghost videos i watch haha" or some random ass reason?????? in any case, oscar has a slightly bad habit of going "Oh youre not doing anything huh? Why not go out with me?"
