If you had to describe crust and all its various subgenres, how would you? Defining sounds, aesthetic, etc all wrapped up in one. What makes something crust

This actually hits on a vary interesting part of the crust scene to me. "Crust punk" is more then just crust too me. It's all sorts of music from all over punk/hardcore/metal. D beat is a good example, d beat isn't crust but every crustie loves d beat. Same for grind, uk/us hardcore, death/black metal, noise punk. So describing the crust scene and describe actual crust punk music (as apposed to music crustie like) is two different situations

AS FOR A ANSWER the core crust sound that all other come from its that first wave uk/us thrash and first wave bm, the Bristol style anarcho punk (ie disorder, chaos uk etc), discharge and it's clones (crucifix, disattack, anti cimex), and the more out there anarcho punk like antisect, dirt, conflict.

For individual sounds it's heavy influence on a fuzz and gain heavy guitar play simpl punk riffs with a almost thrash sound to em.Bass is vary gangly, distorted and low for both guitar and bass there both distorted to the point you can't hear the individual strums of the guitar. Drums have a high snare and cymbols with low toms to make the drum fills stand out. Lots of rolls,crash cymbol hits and odd poly rhythms. And the high hat is played open instead of closed. And finally the vocals can be done all sorts of way bouncing from crass style rhythmic saying of words, metal style growls, hardcore yells, to even singing (at least in the the us scene for some reason), focusing on angry and gloomy political topics taken spoken about in a broad view, less personal and more third person

First distinction in style (excluding scenes crustie like but aren't crust proper, agin dbeat, grind, etc)

Stenchcore: much more metal, more odd rhythms, and more riffs over speed. Many times slower, more intricate, cleaner, & atmospheric guitar. Also tends to describe its politics in a more esoteric style (see deviated instinct, life, sword wielder)

Crasher crust: uk early crust with a more frantic style. More quick, jumpy. Less atmospheric and moody guitars and bass, focusing on more extreme noisy & and that high guitar low bass sound. And a more hardcore yelling vocals then growls (see gloom, atrocious madness, death dust extractor)

Stadium crust: heavy Scandinavian dbeat influences, much clearer less distorted sounding bass and guitar. More pushing drum and less fills, and more intricate riffs (see wolf brigade, victims, dis fear)

Neo crust: lots of melodic but dark riffs. break downs of slower sludge metal riffs, simpler black metal influenced drums. Plus more slower atmospheric sounds. (See his hero is gone, habak, ekkaia)

Blackend crust: early uk crust and neo crust with a heavy influence of bm (as the name suggests) heavy on rhythm. Simple drawn out riffs, less fuzz on guitar and bass (see iskra, dodsrit, martyrdöd)

I know there's more genres but I need to get this out so I'll put the others in a re blog plus soon the genres get messy and muddy as far as hard line differences

Feelings on FOPANW S1 Finale

Okay so the finale dropped…….that sure was a finale….Alright, let’s discuss this in full detail. Spoilers for Fairly Oddparents A New Wish finale, DO NOT READ BELOW IF YOU HAVEN’T SEEN IT OR CAUGHT UP YET!

Okay so this finale is a big mixture for me for a few reasons, to which I’ll explain in detail of listing out the good and bad, before then listing out personal thoughts and what I think they’ll do for S2(if we get one, to which Y’ALL WE GOTTA LOCK IN AND REWATCH THIS SERIES IN NOVEMBER ON NETFLIX OKAY??)

The good~✨:

▪️I absolutely love that they brought back most of the new characters Hazel’s befriend and seen throughout the season come back to help Hazel in taking back fairy world. ▪️ANTI-COSMO AND ANTI-WANDA ARE BACK! It was definitely a short time, but I’m just glad they reappeared and them with Cosmo and Wanda was so funny. I love them exposing their weaknesses like Cosmo being afraid of big words or Wanda not standing seeing someone read a book upside down. ▪️THANK GOD DEV WASN’T TURN EVIL! The boy definitely mess up, but I am happy he listened to Wanda and help out in the end despite the consequences of it. It shows that despite Dev doing all of this to impress his dad, he realizes that his dad not going to change and that he’ll just overlook Dev for other people or things. Plus it nice to see that he didn’t want any the fairies lock up or to blow up, he just wanted to get back at Cosmo, Wanda, and Peri(speaking of him). This definitely marks a great start to his redemption arc that I feel next season will go into more.

▪️You don’t know how much it means to me seeing Peri fricken dying and yet, he’s still worrying about Dev. The fact he still cares about him and just only was strict on the rules because he wanted to do right by Dev..MY HEART AGHHH! THAT’S HIS DAD RIGHT THERE, HIS REAL DAD! I swear they better reunite. Le bad~⚡️:

▪️Dev losing both Peri and his memory of fairies….WHY!? I get punishing him to teach him what he did was wrong, but he recognizes it and also, HE’S NOT GOING TO IF HE DOESN’T REMEMBER WHAT HE DID WRONG! Not to mention that Dev still needs Peri, he still needs a fairygod parent because he’s stuck with a neglectful dad who thinks boots are better than his own kid and doesn’t know how to make friends with him having trust issues! Plus Peri still cares for Dev and I doubt he wanted to give him up! THATS HIS FIRST GODKID, GIVE HIM BACK HIS SON 😭 ▪️The point above gets worse when Hazel could’ve prevented that from happening by including Dev in her wish for her friends to keep their memories of her fairies and magic OR that Dev keeps Peri(which is a two for one sale as he gets both his fairy and memory). I understand Hazel is probably still upset at Dev and does think that he needs to learn a lesson, but she clearly still cares about him. Enough for her to look sad at the end when he gets poofs away and to thank him for doing the right thing. Not to mention now Dev’s growth at the end for realizing he did wrong will disappear and he can’t reflect on himself now to grow from it. ▪️Speaking of memories. So Hazel decided to let Winn, Jasmine, and her brother Anthony keep their memories of all of this. I won’t lie, I am conflicted on this as while I don’t mind too much of Winn and Jasmine to know about her secret as that allows them to join more adventures and develop from there with Hazel now that they know! But…why Anthony? I can understand Hazel wanting to share her cool fairies with him, but girl you got those fairies in the first place BECAUSE he’s away at college. Even if Anthony currently visiting right now and she can have fun with him, he’s still going back to college sweetie. Heck Anthony might not worry too much of needing to visit a lot because now he knows his sister being taken care of by Cosmo and Wanda(which is good thing, but to Hazel, she might be upset to think Anthony will spend less time with her now that she has fairies to fill his role).

Alright, I definitely got that out of my system. Ultimately despite these problems I have with this finale, I still enjoyed it and this season entirely. And I feel like the writers with what they did with Dev wasn’t to be mean spirited of taking away Peri and his memory. I believe they wanted to show Dev starting to reflect on what he has done and grow with realizing his mess up, which is why he even admits that he does deserve this and Hazel agrees. And despite Hazel not including him in the wish or wishing for him to keep Peri, she does still care about him. She’s glad he did the right thing in the end and she does look sad when Dev gets poofed away after being memory wiped. And honestly….this might be good for both of them in terms of being able to rekindle their friendship. Now that Dev won’t remember the the arguments that happen when he had a fairy, it means that his jealousy toward Hazel having Wanda and Cosmo and knowing that Hazel wished to be friends with him(to which he took personally because it seemed like their friendship was based off of just wanting to get something out of him he feels and it’s fake). The only problem is thanks to the memory wipe, we don’t know exactly how much Dev remembers. Does he only remember his fight with Hazel at Founders Day or their fight during his birthday? If the former, then did he forget Hazel being at his birthday? And if not and it’s the latter, then does Dev still remember project H but without the knowledge of Hazel’s fairies? Is he still upset at her for his father paying attention to her? Does he think they’re still friends??? Really the problem is since we’re in the dark of whether we’re getting a season two and we don’t know these details, we’re stuck unsatisfied since there’s clearly more to explore and explain here. But all we can do for now is just wait and watch the show again on Netflix when it drops while spreading word of the series. We can do this and get that season two for everyone! Seriously Netflix you better listen to Peri and greenlit season two.

Since WWE is teasing Reigns vs Rhodes III, it’s really got me thinking…

Why did Cody decide to help Roman in the first place? Sure Roman signed the contract for Bad Blood first, but Cody didn’t have to sign it, and after everything that’s happened between the two of them, Cody should hate him more than anyone, and it honestly doesn’t look like he does.

Technically Kevin isn’t all wrong, Cody betrayed everyone who ever helped him win the title by helping Roman, which is something he really didn’t have to do, In my opinion, I think Cody likes him, I think he likes him way more than he realizes, otherwise, why would he help someone who has tortured all of his friends and himself?

I personally think that Cody never hated him, he was probably supposed to, but he never did, because Roman literally insulted and talked about his late father and he did nothing whereas The Rock called him a mistake and that was enough for him to slap him. I think that Cody is ok with Roman being the Tribal Chief just as long as he’s next to him, he doesn’t necessarily want him to be above him, that’s why he took the title, he wants Roman to be at his side and he wants his acceptance, it’s really apparent when you watch their tag match at Bad Blood.

From a storyline stance, this all makes perfect sense.

Do yall ever wonder where Morris sleeps? Like, it’s gotta be the store, which is incredibly f-ed up. I can’t even find if it’s legal or not. But like I have so many questions about it. Like did he choose to live there. I mean he must’ve because I don’t think you can force someone to live in a store. Does he pay rent. Does the cashier live there too? I mean, we never see her leave. Ever. Like at least Morris goes outside for some cutscenes. She doesn’t. Like even when we open the movie theatre, she doesn’t leave. If they both live in the store, are they considered roommates? Do they get along or hate each other’s guts. If they hate each other, Morris is desperately trying to find a reason to fire her, but she’s just such a good employee he can’t find a reason. Honestly, I don’t think they hate each other though. The worst part is, they don’t even have a proper place to sleep. Like, for example, Harvey has his apartment above the clinic, but there is nothing above the Joja mart. Do they just sleep on the floor? I feel so bad for them. Please give them a place to live in 1.6.

I'm probably not going to post as much dndads content, or at least canon dndads content, as I've put a lot of work into my own AUs and HCs, however I haven't really posted much about dndads in a while. I also touch on Freddie's talk and use of Generative AI and how I don't like it as an artist.

I haven't really been super hyperfixated on the actual canon and the podcast of dndads in a while. To be 100% honest, I'm pretty sure my hyperfixation is slipping a bit. Not fully the point of the post, but bringing it up. The point is, if I do post anything dndads content related, it'll most likely be my versions of the characters, which at this point are so so different from canon. (Honestly, slap a different name on them and a bit more changing to their design, and if you didn't know, they were originally from dndads... you'd not be able to tell, at all.)

But most likely, I won't post much about dndads. Like less than I have. I used to post every day, and now it's like once a week when I browse tumblr for a bit

I don't like AI as an artist (of mutiple ways to make art, not just drawing) for many reasons. I don't like chatgpt, I don't like generative AI, I don't like AI covers of songs, I also don't like the constant need for people to put AI into everything.

geniunely killing myself if i ever go back to twitter ... the pelople there are so nice (well some of them) but the fuckin enviornment fuckin sucks and its all built on drama. yes theres shit that happens on tumblr & instagram but in the classic rock fandom there's like very rare drama from what ive seen or at least it isnt public/its chill. on twitter there is literally drama every fucking day and it gives me so much anxiety and i hate it and i hate people fighting and acting like its the endof the world over the stupidest shit and acting superior and shit a lot of my mutuals were nice but some of them fuckin subtweeted me like actually fuck you & the fuckin priv quote tweets ugh that was the worst and i saw people literally pqt each other it was so rudeand brutual and mean like??? esp over nothing or like a very small thing ugh uit was terrible that site is built on literal hell & i always felt terrible every time i went there like it was actually so so bad ... like i would doomscroll for an hour , feel like shit repeat... idk talking to people on there was so weird even if they were nice it just made me feel sm anxiety like they all hated me & i literally never feel like that here, or on instagram ... so gladni left that place but i regret sm i wish i was never on there, i made a lot of mutuals who were super cool & im glad ive kept in touch w some of them but its just annoying to think about how worried i was on there like avtually
