pain. it's been coursing throughout his heart, mind and soul for weeks and all the accompanying thoughts that have plauged his mind aren’t helping him deal with it either. he doesnt know how to handle it, doesn't know how to cope, doesn't know how to even fully feel. all he knows is that he wants it gone, wants the pain to just go away even if it's for just a night. so he goes to the one thing he knows will numb his senses. alcohol. he spends most of his evening in his bedroom, downing shot after shot after shot until there's only a third of the bottle of vodka left. it's then he realizes how hot he feels, the room he's in causing a thin sheen of sweat to form across his forehead and he feels trapped. after contimplating it for a momet, he stumbles out of his aparment, down the hall and outside. finding solace in the cold sting of fresh air that he's hit with the second he steps out of the lobby, lying down on the concrete in front of the lobby's door to let the cold surface of the ground creep through the material of his clothing, further numbing his mind and senses. he doesn't know how long he's out there, eyes focused on the sky, slender fingers still gripping the almost gone bottle of vodka as the sound of footsteps cause a slight giggle to pass through haeju's lips. "t's pretty isn't it?" he slurred out, eyes traveling over to the source of the footsteps. "the m-moon." he continues, pointing, sitting up to take another swig from the bottle in his grasp. "o-oh you're pretty too." he grins, patting the spot on the ground next to me. "join m-me please? i-i’ll share.”

“Shit,” Jack grumbled as his shot clipped the ball he’d been aiming for and instead knocked into one of his opponent’s. A few games and plenty of drinks in, and it was definitely catching up to him. He shook his head in amusement and took a swig from his beer as he picked his way back around the pool table.
