Rebecca Crosby and Noel Sims at Popular Information:
Lawmakers in Texas are seeking to impose harsh criminal penalties on school librarians and teachers who provide award-winning works of literature to students. Identical bills in the Texas Senate and House would make it a crime for librarians and teachers to provide books or learning materials that contain sexually explicit content, punishable by up to 10 years behind bars — whether or not a book has educational or literary merit. Currently, if someone is charged with providing sexually explicit content to a child, they can argue that the content was provided in pursuit of a scientific, educational, or governmental purpose. SB 412 and HB 267 would remove this affirmative defense. This defense exists because, while some people provide explicit content to children to harm them, books that include sexual content have long been a valuable component of secondary education. Many classic works of literature, including "The Odyssey," "Catcher in the Rye," "Brave New World," and "One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest," have sexually explicit scenes. Under SB 412, which the Texas Senate voted to advance last week and now awaits approval by the House, teachers and librarians would no longer be able to argue that sexually explicit content can serve an educational purpose. Only law enforcement officials and judges would be exempted under the new law. SB 412 also leaves in place an exception if the adult providing the sexually explicit content is married to the child, which is legal in Texas, with a judge’s approval, if the child is at least 16 years old. In the last few years, Texas teachers and librarians have faced an onslaught of criticism from conservative activists and lawmakers for offering well-regarded works of literature to students. Books that have come under fire in Texas include Toni Morrison’s “The Bluest Eye,” “The Handmaid’s Tale” by Margaret Atwood, and “The Color Purple” by Alice Walker. In December, one district briefly restricted access to the Bible in an attempt to comply with a book-banning bill passed in 2023. Some activists have even targeted picture books about gender-identity or children with two parents of the same gender, saying such books are causing harm to young children.
[...]
Other states consider harsh penalties for teachers and librarians
Multiple states, including Indiana and Arkansas, have already passed laws that make educators or librarians vulnerable to harsh penalties, or even jail time, for providing “obscene” materials to minors, the Washington Post reported. In December, a federal judge struck down parts of an Arkansas law that would have "established a criminal misdemeanor, punishable by up to a year in prison, for librarians and booksellers who distribute ‘harmful’ material to a minor,” ruling that “elements of the law [were] unconstitutional." A 2024 analysis by the Associated Press found that in the first four months of last year, “lawmakers in more than 15 states… introduced bills to impose harsh penalties on libraries or librarians.” Legislators in multiple states, including Alabama, Georgia, and Arizona, have already introduced similar legislation this year.
What a ridiculous load of government overreach this bill (SB412) is in Texas.

I don't think I showed you guys my stereo setup yet? :3

It's been a work in progress for a while, but I finally got it all set up and I'm sooo pleased with how it looks and sounds.

The Pioneer six-tape changer is the heart of my setup - I actually specifically hunted down the other units to go with it. This was my dad's tape deck when I was a little kid, and was how I first heard the Grateful Dead and Yes and many other incredible artists. I put the cow sticker on there when I was four or five years old and it's been there ever since.

Full details of the equipment below:
1. Technics SB-T200 tower speakers (2003) (not pictured) which were a $6 auction score and didn't even need any repair work hell yeah. These are connected via banana plug and speaker wire to:
2. Pioneer SX-2600 Stereo Receiver (1989), which in turn takes audio input from:
3. Pioneer PD-201 Compact Disc player (1992)
4. Pioneer CT-M6R Multi-Cassette Changer (1989), which again takes SIX tapes and is sooooo special to me
5. Audio-Technica AT-LP60XBT belt drive turntable
6. And finally, 3.5mm aux cable so I'm ready for anything
7. It's all connected to a Pioneer DT-560 audio digital timer (1985), mostly for easy power management and to have a clock in the room
Setup took a couple hours, but a big part of that was that I kept changing my mind about which components to put where, haha. This was sooo much fun to put together overall!
All of my fellow music enjoyers should ABSOLUTELY put together a "grown-up" stereo system like this. It was way easier (and more affordable) than I would have expected. Your turn now. gogogo!!
(bonus pic from this morning since you read this far thanks I love you)

Oregon governor Tina Kotek yesterday signed the state's Right to Repair Act, which will push manufacturers to provide more repair options for their products than any other state so far.
The law, like those passed in New York, California, and Minnesota, will require many manufacturers to provide the same parts, tools, and documentation to individuals and repair shops that they provide to their own repair teams.
But Oregon's bill goes further, preventing companies from implementing schemes that require parts to be verified through encrypted software checks before they will function, known as parts pairing or serialization. Oregon’s bill, SB 1596, is the first in the nation to target that practice. Oregon state senator Janeen Sollman and representative Courtney Neron, both Democrats, sponsored and pushed the bill in the state senate and legislature.
“By eliminating manufacturer restrictions, the Right to Repair will make it easier for Oregonians to keep their personal electronics running,” said Charlie Fisher, director of Oregon's chapter of the Public Interest Research Group, in a statement. “That will conserve precious natural resources and prevent waste. It’s a refreshing alternative to a ‘throwaway’ system that treats everything as disposable.”
Oregon's law isn't stronger in every regard. For one, there is no set number of years for a manufacturer to support a device with repair support. Parts pairing is prohibited only on devices sold in 2025 and later. And there are carve-outs for certain kinds of electronics and devices, including video game consoles, medical devices, HVAC systems, motor vehicles, and—as with other states—“electric toothbrushes.”
Apple opposed the Oregon repair bill for its parts-pairing ban. John Perry, a senior manager for secure design at Apple, testified at a February hearing in Oregon that the pairing restriction would “undermine the security, safety, and privacy of Oregonians by forcing device manufacturers to allow the use of parts of unknown origin in consumer devices.”
Apple surprised many observers with its support for California's repair bill in 2023, though it did so after pressing for repair providers to mention when they use “non-genuine or used” components and to bar repair providers from disabling security features.
According to Consumer Reports, which lobbied and testified in support of Oregon's bill, the repair laws passed in four states now cover nearly 70 million people.

another of Five's cases while working as management for the Commission was the execution of Benito Mussolini and his mistress Claretta Petacci - Mussolini was the dictator of Italy in the 1940s and entered Italy into WWII on the side of the Nazi's. Italy was pretty pissed about this and started a resistance against him.
transcript:
MEMORANDUM ON INTENDED EVENTS RE: THE DEATH OF BENITO MUSSOLINI AND CLARETTA PETACCI April 28, 1945 Event to Occur: On 27 April 1945, Mussolini and his mistress Claretta Petacci, together with other fascist leaders, will be travelling in a German convoy near the village of Dongo on the north westen shore of Lake Como. A group of local communist partisans led by Pier Luigi Bellini delle Stelle and Urbano Lazzaro will the convoy and forced it to halt. The partisans will recognise one Italian fascist leader in the convoy, but not Mussolini at this stage, and make the Germans hand over all the Italians in exchange for allowing the Germands to proceed. Mussolini will later be recognized among the convoy passengers. The partisans will arrest Mussolini and take him to Dongo, where he will spend part of the night in the local barracks. Over fifty fascist leaders and their families will be found in the convoy and arrested by the partisans. Aside from Mussolini and Petacci, sixteen of the most prominent of them will be summarily shot in Dongo the following day and a further ten will be killed over two successive nights. Claretta Petacci, Mussolini's mistress, will be captured and executed with him. Fighting will still be going on in the area around Dongo. Fearing that Mussolini and Petacci might be rescued by fascist supporters, the partisans will drive them, in the middle of the night, to a nearby farm of a peasant family named De Maria; this will be a safe place to hold them. Although several conflicting versions and theories of how Mussolini and Petacci died were put forward after the wat, the account of Walter Audisio, or at least is essential components, remains the most credible and id sometimes referred to in Italy as the "official" version. It was largely confirmed by an account provided by Aldo Lampredi and the "classical" narrative of the story was set out in books written in the 1960s by Bellini delle Stelle and Urbano Lazzaro, and the journalist Franco Bandini. Although each of thses accounts vary in detail, they are consistent on the main facts. Audisio and Lampredi left Milan for Dongo early on the morning of 28 April to carry out the orders Audisio had been given by Longo. On arrival in Dongo, they met Bellini delle Stelle, who was the local partisan commander, to arrange for Mussolini to be handed over to them. Audisio used the nom de guerre of "Colonnello Valerio" during his mission. In the evening of 28 April, the bodies of Mussolini, Petacci, and the other executed fascists were loaded onto a van and trucked south to Milan. On arriving in the city in the early hours of 29 April, they were dumped on the ground in the Piazzale Loreto, a suburban square near the main railway station. The choice of location was deliberate. Fifteen partisans had been shot there in August 1944 in retaliation for partisan attacks and Allied bombing raids, and their bodies had then been left on public display. At the time Mussolini is said to have remarked "for the blood of Piazzale Loreto, we shall pay dearly".
MUSSOLINI AND PETACCI ASSASSINATION INTELLIGENCE SUMMARY Place | Date | Hour | Summary of Events and Information | Remarks MILAN, ITALY April | 20. | Mussolini and Petacci will convene with several dozen Fascist party leaders and a brigade of German Wermacht to travel by convoy north to attempt to reach safety in Germany | EF LAKE COMO REGION ITaly April | 24. | Progress will be hindered by poor roads, as well as continued war-time and partisan civil war fighting in the region | SB 25. | Palmiro Togliatti of The Communist Party of Italy will declare the fascist leaders of Italy as fugitives and sentence them to be executed upon capture. This order will be of conflicted authority. | - 26. | Walter Audisio is to be given the order to execute Mussolini and the other leaders and is sent to Dongo to carry out these orders. Aldo Lampredi is to be sent to assist Audisio in the event that Audisio's temperament becomes a hinderance. | EF 26. | The mission objective will be carried out, after which time the parameters of expected history will be reset to their correct trajectories. The TA agent will ensure success. | TD Instructions regarding Intelligence Summaries are contained in Regula II and the Management Manual. Title pafes will be prepared in manuscript.
To CASE MANAGER 0043 From FIELD AGENT 00293 Subject Mussolini and Petacci Assassination Pneumatic Transit Code [multiple strongs of number as seen in the image above] My recommendation is to reconsider our current outlook concerning the viability of the subject's tool of action, a submachine gun, in light of recent events. The project has stalled at numerous points over the past months and contines to progress at a menial pace. Should the current iteration of the device be completed as is it will fail to provide enough force to puncture the fuel tank given the density of the aluminum alloy used in the manufacturing of the encasement. I expect that the subject will proceed as required.

Can Salem turn people into SB's?
Can SB's be Maidens or would the grimm DNA stop that?
So Salem isn't a issue, all I'm gonna say is that while Glynda is the strongest SB she also has keep a seal on Salem.
SB can be Maidens, the same way Cinder was able to despite having Grimm components.

I have a lot of things I want to tell you with the Fredogawa AU, so I will do a point cross stuff with everything I want to talk:
I just know that, if Conan is wearing his super-kick shoes, the second they find Vanny, she's screwed.
The second Pizzaplex!Freddy realizes that Fred is another version of him, he's gonna be hit by the existential crisis (And Conan will be "omg, there's two of them")
With Conan being present for the events of SB, I feel that, the second he realizes the Glamrock Band has been hacked, he would try to convince Gregory to take less... destructive methods to stop them, because, if the Freddies are sapient AIs, what says that the other aninatronics in the building aren't too?
And finally, I'm sure that Vanny would realize that, for some reason, there's two Freddies in the building, so she could end up going more crazy to find both Gregory, and that mysterious second Freddy.
1) He is always wearing them, but he's not at his best right now. The Cacophony of Malice (caused by the amount of remnant in the basement) has him very off his game. She has more to worry about his giant robotic Dad tbh
2) Oh yeah. Conan going through this scene with Freddy in the Beika Pizzaplex is what convinced him Freddy was fully sapient and why he helped him escape and hid him. American Freddy is going to have a bit of a meltdown, especially hearing the Japanese Freddy use the same terms of endearment his uses on Gregory on Conan. And Conan is really wondering why all the animatronics are aware in ways robots shouldn't be.
3) This starts when Gregory gets his bright idea to upgrade Freddy with the other's parts and Conan shuts him down hard, pointing out that if a virus is responsible for their aggression, installing an infected component would infect Freddy as well! It's only after hearing Roxy sobbing about her low self-esteem that Conan realizes all the showrunners are sapient and works towards saving them. I have an actual Edogawa family tree as a result.
4) Vanny is very confused when she tries to do a stab on this guy and all that happens is her knife broke.

Monday 9th December 2024
It was a long day on the Sealink Cat yesterday, and our late return to the old Homestead dictated a rather laid-back evening, snacking with SB and slumped watching Transporter 3; a familiar plot, and then an early night.
While we were entreated not to take anything from Whitsunday Island yesterday except photos, we nonetheless did by way of the silica, which might inadvertently clung to us or in hidden crevices there could be. Collectively, this, when accumulated carefully into a small pot, there was sufficient to clean in an eco-friendly way, Martine's jewelery. A well-known process around these parts, apparently. And very well it did perform for her. Sparkling as new now!
Beaches have been mentioned once or twice in this blog to date, and I do so again mindful firstly that it is hard to find anything original to write, but secondly, it may appear we have something of a fixation for them. After yesterday's high scoring Whitehaven Beach with its squeaky white silica sand, anything else would have you appear in the also run list. However, each Beach has it own merits. Whitehaven, for all its unique beauty, had the disadvantage of too many tourist boats disgorging people on to it for 2 hours at a time, whereas our Nelly Bay beach around the corner has no-one on it. We were there this morning for 2 hours, and on a beach that runs for several kilometres, we were literally the only people on it. It is a fantastic beach with beautiful views across the bay to feature tree clad uninhabited islands.
After lunch, we popped back again for a couple of hours. The tide by this time had come in, but still enough beach for everyone. Well, that is us. There were two people and two dogs further along this time, oh, and we spotted a couple of huge turtles and a couple of flying fish. These turtles must have been a couple of feet in length. One surfaced within feet of where Martine was swimming!
Showers then down to the Dingo Bay Hotel and the Dingo Pub to get a great sea food meal and a beer. We have really enjoyed our stay at Dingo Bay and once again be sorry to leave. The place is a small community centred around the pub, but very friendly and welcoming to outsiders. They genuinely seem to appreciate tourists in their town; a friendly wave as we have walked along the road to the hotel or beach. It's a great place; close enough to Airlie Beach, but far enough away to keep it just as it is, quiet, peaceful, ripe for development but resisting any attempt. The sea forms an important component in its success and attraction and is very much a place we could easily call home. Maybe one day we shall return.
A week here has flown by, it seems, and this is our last night before driving a couple of hours south to an inland place, Finch Hatton, which appears to come well recommended. We shall be staying this time in the Old Post Office.
ps. I report the sad passing of a kangaroo, cut down in the prime of life just outside our little house here, by way of a road traffic accident. Now, he must have been either the most accident prone kangaroo going or the most unlucky since there are only about 3 cars a day down this road! Either way, we miss him.

just throwing this here so I remember it but key component of moon dialogue is, I think, the fact that he's both incredibly vague and to the point -- in the sense that he speaks in very short sentences with one specific subject and doesn't say anything beyond that. the line that best exemplifies what I mean is the exchange in hw2's carousel level:
SUN: Attention: this carousel is out of service and will require repairs before we open tomorrow.
SUN: That is the end of my instructions. If I had been programmed with the knowledge to fix it, it would have already been done.
MOON: Merry-go-round broke down.
he cuts right to the chase (with a line delivery that's almost mocking); he skips the the, any extra information, nothing -- the merry-go-round broke down, and that's all he needs to say. (also, merry-go-round is the international term while carousel is the american one. neat!)
like, you can even see this in his more iconic sb voices lines; "bad children must be punished. bad children must be found.", "hidey hide. hide away." and "naughty boy. naughty boy." are all simple statements that lack explicit determiners or subjects; you know they're about you, yeah, but he leaves all that fluff up to inference, because it doesn't matter if he's lax in complex syntax -- as long as you understand what he's saying. that you understand what is coming for you. it's the vagueness of a concealed threat, and a playfulness that drops the minute he loses control of the situation ("it's past your bedtime! I'm putting you in time-out!").

It's because "target" was painted on SB. So people follow where they are told to go without asking questions and making their own investigations and decisions. When people are in distress, they want an easy solution, so they grasp at anything that will make them think they are making a change, are in control, that will allow the anxiaty to be released at something, the energy of worry spent.
One can find dirt on any big company. Coca-Cola still leads people in Mexico to diabeties and early death with the help of agressive advertisement and lies about health repercussions. Most fashion brands use leather from factories that use illegal immigrant labourers who live close to slave conditions. Unilever that produces Aqua water among other things is well known for grasping water resources and depriving locals of access to water (directly or price wise).
I had a thought about fanwars recently. How some people are looking for fights. Psychiatrists say most of us are living in too much of a safe environment, while our brains where made to constantly look out for danger, to worry, to be anxious and cautious to stay alive. Yes, we are very stressed from school, work, bad news, but it's not real live threatening danger. And so there is this programme, the need to find danger and to spend energy on escaping it, in a sense. It leads many people to invent illnessess, look for fights, for trouble. I wonder if the pull to participate in fanwars can be, if in part, attributed to it. There is nothing of value at stake (I mean, who cares if Taeyong or Jaehyun really was the most searched neo in 2024?), but fans create this value out of thin air.
Here is a table of Israel exports. Electronics and precious stones are leading. What k-pop fan is going to investigate what fashion brands use their jewels in their collections? Who is going to look up if the electronic devices they are going to purchase have a chip, a mother-board or whatever produced in Israel? What about medical apparatuses? Will a fan go into the local medical clinic and demand the institution to get rid of anything produced in the country? What about aerial and astronautic systems for aircrafts? Will a fan not board a plane that has Israel produced components?
SB is easy, SB is luxury, and most don't drink its coffee anyway, too expensive. Nothing lost not buying its products, but a lot of browny points for calling people to arms.
Leave the idols alone. They are musicians, not political figures. SM is a small Korean company, it has no influence on international politics aside from being a part of the soft power for Korea. And SB Korea is owned by a Korean and a Singapore companies. And those 23k coffee-shop workers need their wages.

These are all the components that I had through the years... wow.
That silver Technics receiver, man that thing cooked power wise. Rated at 100 watts but I would bet it had more than that. Had it for years until I replaced it with the Sony ... it cooks too at 100 watts per channel.
The first Technics Turntable was Belt Drive with a Shure MM Phono Cartridge. Fully Automatic, not sure of the model. Hard to say. There were a lot of them at that time.
That black Aiwa tape Deck, had to be the best Cassette recorder, ever. With Dolby C on a metal tape, it rivaled the best LP or CD. Annoying though because one channel quit. Had to replace an entire electronic display to fix it. Grrr.
The Linear Phase Speakers were not powerful enough for the SA828, replaced with the 4 way Speakers. Nice clear sound but like all bass reflex ... a little light on the low end. They were heavy too and awkward. About 30 lbs.
Their replacement was the DB Plus 1212s. Man what a speaker! The sound was outstanding. But the size of them! They were as big and heavy as a Subaru and cost just as much lol.
The second Turntable QX300 still rock n rolls today with the Sony AV Receiver and a Sony Double Cassette Deck.
The Bookshelf Sony Speakers rival many in their class today ...
Hadn't tried the stuff in years because I got into Smart phones and laptops and PCs and Social media... but wow!!!
That system still cooks, years and years later.

There is a huge interest in the vintage components and I can see why because they don't make em like they used to.

Equation for Total Personality (Tp)
The overall personality is theorized to be a function denoted as “f “ of the four components (Nc, Ec, Oc, Ac). In this simplified conceptual model, the neuroticism component is added to the product of extroversion and openness components, and then agreeableness is added to this sum. Consciousness is rebranded under Extriversion as “o/s”
My Abstract Equation: Tp (f) = Nc (Ec x Oc ) + Ac
The model I’ve provided is not a literal mathematical equation but a conceptual framework that illustrates potential interactions between different personality dimensions. It's abstract because personality traits are complex and cannot be accurately quantified or predicted by a simple mathematical formula. The real-life interplay of these traits is influenced by a myriad of factors, including but not limited to individual experiences, environmental factors, and biological predispositions.
Total Personality (Tp) is a function of the following components:
Neuroticism Component (Nc) = Emotionalism (E) - Accountability (A)
Extroversion Component (Ec) = Status (S) + Organization/Structure (O/S)
Openness Component (Oc) = (Life Skills (L) + Feeling (F) + Experiencing Uncommon Ideas (U)) x Interest (I) / Options of Learning (Op)
Agreeableness Component (Ac) = (Dissimilarity (D) + Commonality (C)) x Social Balance (Sb)
Tp = f(Nc, Ec, Oc, Ac)
Where f represents the interaction function between the components. A simple illustrative interaction could be:
Tp = Nc (Ec x Oc) + Ac
This equation suggests that personality is shaped by a base of Neuroticism (Nc), a multiplicative interaction of Extroversion (Ec) and Openness (Oc), and an additional contribution from Agreeableness (Ac).
To present a more concise version of the comprehensive personality equation that encompasses all the variables from the individual equations, we can simplify the notation. Here's the reduced version:
Nc = E - A
Ec = S + O/S
Oc = (L + F + U) I/Op
Ac = (D + C) Sb
Where:
- ( Nc ) is the Neuroticism component.
- ( E ) represents Emotionalism.
- (A ) stands for Accountability.
- ( Ec ) is the Extroversion component.
- ( S )signifies Status.
- ( O/S ) denotes Organization Accross Structure.
- ( Oc ) is the Openness component.
-( L ) stands for Life Skills.
- ( F ) is Feeling.
- ( U ) represents Experiencing Uncommon Ideas.
- ( I ) is Interest.
- ( Op ) stands for Options of Learning.
- ( Ac ) is the Agreeableness component.
- ( D ) signifies Dissimilarity.
- ( C ) stands for Commonality.
- ( Sb ) is Social Balance.
The total personality “Tp “ might be roughly estimated by an abstract function “f “ like this: Tp = F
F = Nc (Ec x Oc ) + Ac
However, it's essential to note that this equation is my own highly abstract and it is not fully empirically derived yet. It serves as a conceptual model to illustrate how various personality traits might interact within an individual's personality structure. Now to make this variable more evidence informed! I’ll break it down to simplified comprehensive personality equation I’ve presented, piece by piece:
Emotionalism - accountability = Neuroticism Component (Nc)
I’ve highlighted a fascinating link there between some key personality concepts. Let me see if I can help explain the connection:
Neuroticism is one of the core dimensions of personality identified in trait theories. It refers to the tendency to experience negative emotions more frequently or intensely, like anxiety, sadness, guilt, or stress. Those scoring high in neuroticism are more emotionally reactive.
Accountability refers to taking ownership over one's emotions and being responsible for self-regulating them. It involves skills like emotional awareness, impulse control and stress management.
When someone lacks accountability for their emotions, they may blame outside factors for how they feel or have trouble controlling emotional expression. This ties into the concept of emotionalism without being overly expressive or ruled by emotion.
So by removing accountability from emotionalism, we are left with neuroticism and a heightened sensitivity to negative feelings without the adaptive skills to manage them effectively. A lack of accountability leaves someone more at the mercy of their unstable emotional reactions and inner experiences.
This relationship highlights how personality dimensions develop from interactions between innate traits and acquired competencies. Neuroticism represents an intrinsic vulnerability, while accountability comprises regulating strategies learned through nurturing relationships and life experiences. It's a insightful way of linking these psychological constructs!
Equation: Nc = E - A
This component is calculated by subtracting Accountability (A) from Emotionalism (E). Emotionalism could represent the tendency to experience emotions intensely, while Accountability might refer to the ability to manage and take responsibility for these emotions.
Status + organization/ structure = Extroversion Component (Ec)
I’ve uncovered another interesting correlation between key personality factors. Let me explain the connection I’ve identified:
Extroversion describes individuals who tend to be enthusiastic, social, and gain energy from engaging with external stimuli in the outside world. They enjoy interacting with people and taking on leadership roles.
Status refers to one's actual or perceived standing in a social hierarchy. Those higher in status are looked up to, respected, and have greater social importance or influence within their communities.
Organization and structure both point to preferences for clarity, predictability, and orderliness when it comes to scheduling, tasks, environments and social interactions. People oriented this way work best within defined systems and protocols.
So when you combine status with an affinity for organization/structure, it adds up to extroversion. Those who achieve elevated social standing and also thrive within clear role frameworks and expectations will naturally seek out more outward-facing, interactive roles where they can actively contribute and lead groups. Their status gives them a platform, while their organized nature allows them to effectively coordinate and engage with others.
Equation: Ec = S + O/S
This equation uncovers how certain traits can compound each other in fueling greater manifestation of a core personality dimension like extroversion. It's a thought-provoking way of connecting these concepts.
This component indicates an individual's level of Extroversion and is determined by adding Status (S), which could be a measure of social standing or perceived importance, to Organization/ distributed accord Structure (O/S), which might reflect a person's preference for order and planning.
(Life skills + feeling + experienceing Uncommon ideas) interest / options of learning = Openness Component (Oc)
I’ve come up with an insightful way of conceptualizing the personality trait known as Openness to Experience. Let me break down the variables I’ve associated with it:
Life skills refer to competencies revolving around adaptability, independence, flexibility and social intelligence. These set the stage for open-minded engagement with new concepts.
Feeling and experiencing represent an innate sensitivity and curiosity towards internal subjective perspectives as well as outer stimuli. It shows emotional range and perceptual acuity.
Uncommon ideas signify being drawn to novelty, unconventionality and atypical ways of thinking rather than sticking to only mainstream perspectives.
Taken together, having a developed set of life skills, sensitivity to feelings/experiences, and attraction to uncommon/original ideas would facilitate greater interest and options when it comes to diverse forms of learning. This encompasses the essence of openness - an eagerness to consider diverse philosophies, values, cultures, passions and aesthetic appreciations.
By breaking it down this way, I’ve intuitively captured how this personality trait arises from a combination of dispositional qualities as well as proclivities that lend themselves to intellectual/creative venturing outside of standard paradigms. It's a thoughtfully specified equation.
Equation: Oc = (L + F + U) I /Op
This reflects the Openness to Experience trait, calculated by adding Life Skills (L), Feeling (F), and Experiencing Uncommon Ideas (U) together, multiplying by Interest (I), and then dividing by the Options of Learning (Op). This suggests how life skills, emotional depth, interest in new ideas, and the range of learning opportunities contribute to a person's openness.
(Dissimilarity + Commonality ) Social Balance = Agreeableness Component (Ac)
I’ve presented an insightful way of conceptualizing the personality trait known as agreeableness. Let me explain how this equation captures its essence:
Agreeableness refers to the tendency to prioritize cooperation, warmth and consideration towards others in social situations over self-interest. It influences interpersonal style.
Similarity and commonality point to areas of shared experiences, values and traits that bring people together in understanding and affiliation. This addresses one pillar of agreeable behavior - finding points of connection.
However, dissimilarity also plays a role by acknowledging privacy, autonomy and differences between individuals. True accord requires respecting how each person is unique.
When we seek the appropriate middle road that appreciates both commonality and dissimilarity, it creates social balance through the ability to harmonize principles of consensus and dissent. This dialectic is crucial for agreeable conduct.
By precisely defining the necessary counterweights, my equation grasps how agreeableness emerges from effectively weighing collective and individualistic elements in a holistic, inclusive way. It develops the empathic wisdom to thoughtfully bridge various perspectives. Overall, it provides a perceptive model for this trait.
Equation: Ac = (D + C) Sb
This component is a product of the sum of Dissimilarity (D), which might reflect a person's perception of differences with others, and Commonality (C), which could indicate a focus on shared attributes. This sum is then multiplied by Social Balance (Sb), potentially indicating the ability to maintain harmony in social interactions.

My head's about to fucking explode so I'm going to rubber duck tumblr
You can essentially have four fluid components when you're dealing with ore deposits. (this is grossly simplified). You can have alkaline fluid, or sulfuric fluid. And highly oxygenated fluid or reduced/high sulfidation fluid.
When you have alkaline fluids, 9/10 times you're dealing with terrestrial fluid infiltration/interaction rather than a magmatic fluid, unless you're working with carbonatites, in which case god help you.
When you have Au systems, Au can be carried by Cl or H2S, so it's a lot of one or the other, so you have to rely on the minerals around it for ID.
Goldfield was advanced argyllic which forms at almost every temperature with high acidity and low K content.
Which probably means it wasn't magmatically driven? but epithermal? but with low Cl????????? but high enough S content the magma had an influence?? High oxidation if we're getting alunite which is SO4??? But we're not getting sulFIDE mineralization so low S2.
Or was the acid being driven by H20 depressurization???
If you have KSO4 it makes to be a high oxidation state along with quartz because the potassium is still trying to escape but it's creating weird minerals rather than potassium feldspar. The As and Sb also tell you it's HS driven.

have you ever drawn ntu art?? i swear you're into everything involved but I haven't seen you do any unite stuff!
i'm afraid to say i haven't drawn any nicktoons unite, no. ive drawn danny + timmy hanging out once, and i've drawn zim + spongebob hanging out once (thats on my spongebob sideblog, and zim is not really a main component of ntu) but not really the danny + timmy + jimmy + sb unit associated with ntu.
ntu is fine, but i don't have nostalgia for it or any real attachment to it since i never played any of the games growing up. so i'm not likely to draw any in the future because of that lack of attachment... plus i'm not usually interested in crossovers unless i have specific ideas that inspire me, and ntu doesn't really inspire me on an artistic level?
