Xehanort’s Journal
With the new school year ramping up in Scala, the students, myself included, (how exciting to be able to say that!) have been prepping for it by creating lists upon lists of textbooks to acquire for the multitude of offered classes. While compiling one of these, I stumbled upon a dusty old book with an odd cover in the library. The symbol was familiar, somehow. Despite my curiosity, I forced myself to leave the book alone and finish checking out my required material.
The subjects we’ll study seem easy enough to keep up with as long as Master Odin doesn’t give me more homework than anyone could handle, though considering my position as the newest student in Scala ad Caelum, that outcome is highly unlikely. More likely is that I’ll take some standard placement tests, get a good enough grade to be placed in the same level as my friends, and be a model student whom the others should strive to emulate. No pressure.
In truth, I’m nervous about the upcoming semester. It’ll be a new experience for me. It’s not the subjects themselves I’m worried about, but the sociality of having classmates and the rigid school environment. My mentor taught me what I needed to know, but their methodology wasn’t heavily structured. And with so many people around, I’m afraid my heart won’t be able to handle the strain of so many conflicting emotions.
“You can sense what’s in the hearts of others,” my mentor had said one night. I remember the scene clearly. Their gentle shuddering sadness as I told them about the friends from my dreams, the heat of their body as they pressed me close warming me more than the fire I helped build, flickering flames by contrast blackening the incoming waves.
I haven’t told anyone about my sensitivities yet, but it may be a good idea to in case they’re confused about how I can match their tempo so well, despite what my mentor told me about revealing that fact the next morning. Is it better to be honest and face stigmatization, or keep my secrets close and bear individual pain alone to help others through theirs? Whatever the answer, I hope the decision I have to make will be the right one.
#not an ask#Meg Writes#Xehanort#Master Odin#(mentioned)#Journals#(<-new tag for these non-ask side stories)#(They’ll be from different character perspectives. Hopefully they shed some insight into how I’m going to portray them in this blog)#(And they won’t be limited to the lower classmen! Various upperclassmen might pop into the tag as well)#(Yes it is That Book)#(Yes it is just in the library)#(Best to hide it in plain sight after all)#(Spoiler: he will not make the right decision)

#Ghosts of All We've Known sounds SO good#definitely looking forward to reading that if you finish working on it#or.. if you want to share a little snippet whenever. 👀
(tags via @starlightwayfinder)
Haha, I can share some of what I have for the opening scene, at least!
Ven set another stack of papers into a box, wiping his brow with a relieved sigh. “Is that everything?”
Aqua sat surrounded by old photo albums and letters and books, sorting through them with a serious expression. Most of the rest of the room looked the same: training Keyblades that looked ancient, worn stuffed animals, homework that had apparently never been turned in, and other trinkets littered about a desk and an old bed that looked like it hadn’t been used in decades. Then again, it probably hadn’t; no one had been in Scala ad Caelum for a very long time, according to Mickey.
Aqua made a startled noise. “Come look at this.”
“Terra!” Ven shouted out the door, then scurried to look over Aqua’s shoulder.
“Did you find anything else?” Terra shouted, but Ven could hear his footsteps pounding down the hallway.
“Pictures!” Aqua lifted one—a sepia-toned photo, a boy with black hair grinning at the picture taker. He had a haori that looked too big for him, a worn hat placed on his head. An older man had a hand on his shoulder, steadying him; he looked down at the boy with a soft smile, not paying attention to the picture taker at all.
Ven took the picture from Aqua, face scrunching up. It’d never stop being weird, to see what his master had been like as a child; he’d already boggled at the marked-upped essays, and Aqua had looked a little like she was having crisis. “Who’s the guy with him?” he asked, turning the photo over and looking for a name.
Chirithy—who’d been balanced on the desk—made a noise that sounded strangely pained, waving their arms to keep their balance.
“I don’t know. A grandparent or great uncle, maybe? He looks a lot like Master Eraqus did.”
It brought about a strange sort of grief—sharp and brief, there and gone just as quickly. “Yeah.”
Terra peered around the edge of the doorframe, blinking owlishly at the papers strewn across the floor.
Ven lifted the picture and waved it in his direction. “Come look!”
“Careful,” Aqua said, but there was no real heat in it.
Carefully Terra picked his way across the room, expression vaguely pained as he tried not to step on anything. When he finally reached Ven and took the photo, his eyes softened, and he snorted with quiet laughter. “I wish we’d gotten the chance to see more of this. You know, before—everything.”
“He was always so serious,” Aqua murmured, pulling out another photo and handing it to Ven—this one a picture of Eraqus with two kids he didn’t recognize, Eraqus giving a peace sign while the other two looked prepared to prank a suspicious-looking newcomer. “But I remember it coming out, sometimes.”
“Really?” Ven couldn’t remember any of that; he’d been kind to Ven, but he’d always seemed cautious around him, for as long as he could remember. Probably because you were his prisoner, not his student, a bitter part of him thought, and then he felt guilty for thinking it.
“He helped me play a prank on Terra once.”
Terra groaned. “You don’t need to tell that one.”
Aqua pulled a book into her lap, looking like she was fighting a grin. “Terra dyed my hair in my sleep—”
“Really, it’s fine—”
“Keep going,” Ven said, grinning impishly at Terra’s mockingly-betrayed look.
“—so Master Eraqus said we could get him back.” She smiled sweetly, but there was a devious glint in her eyes. “We filled his room with glitter.”
Terra rubbed his forehead, sighing tiredly. “It took forever to get out. I’m still finding glitter.”
“…I need to try that sometime,” Ven decided.
“No.”
“You can’t just tell me a great prank idea and expect me not to use it!”
“So long as it’s contained,” Aqua said mildly, and then made a startled noise. “Oh.”
“Find something else?” Ven peered over Aqua’s shoulder, and Terra crowded close to see. Even Chirithy came to check it out, hopping on Ven’s shoulder; he reached out to steady them as they wobbled, flashing them a friendly grin.
“A drawing.” Aqua tilted it towards them, and there on the page was a scribbled image of five people. It was surprisingly detailed—better than some of the doodles Eraqus had left on his papers. A white-haired boy with a red scarf, smiling, arm thrown around the shoulder of a black-haired girl with star earrings. A boy dressed in black, hat pushed up, smiling in amused exasperation, the white-haired boy’s other arm dragging him closer. A tall pink-haired boy, dragged close by the girl. And—
“That one looks kind of like you.”
A spiky-haired blond kid, clearly younger than the others, but drawn into the middle of the group by the pink-haired kid.
“No it doesn’t,” Ven said, screwing up his face, but it felt like something was welling in his throat, eyes stinging for reasons he couldn’t explain.
“It does,” Terra insisted. “Look, the spikes—”
“No way! They’re too short!”
“Maybe Master Eraqus could predict the future,” Terra continued, but his grin showed that he was joking.
Ven rolled his eyes and shoved Terra lightly. “Come on, seriously?” But his eyes went back to the drawing, drawn like magnets. “I wonder who they were.” Or why they hadn’t met any of the rest of Eraqus’s friends. But then again, he was old when Ven met him; maybe they just passed away before him.
Chirithy was very still on Ven’s shoulder; he gave them a curious look, but they just twitched their ears and shook themself, like they were coming out of a memory.
Aqua’s eyebrows furrowed as she paged through the book. “It looks like a diary, but—” She stopped, frowning, and Ven tried to see what she was looking at. ‘Eraqus came up with some ‘new strategy’ today; I swear he doesn’t actually know how to play chess…’
“It’s not his?” Ven asked, and that was strangely exciting; the idea of looking into the heads of one of Eraqus’s friends was interesting, and didn’t have quite the same heavy emotions that looking through Eraqus’s old belongings did.
Aqua flipped back to the front of the book—and then froze, hands hovering over a name. Xehanort.
The room went quiet. Ven’s excitement shriveled and died, replaced with a complicated mix of fear-anger-disappointment. Phantom pain traced his chest, right above where his heart beat—whole again now, even if sometimes when he woke up, it still felt unsteady and empty. All he could get out was a quiet, “Oh.”
Terra turned away; he fidgeted like he wanted to leave, but was unwilling to leave the two of them alone.
Aqua slammed the book shut. “It’s just a book,” she said. “We don’t need to take it. We’re just here to collect the Master’s things.”
“We could burn it,” Terra offered, and it sounded like a strained half-joke.
For some reason, that made Ven’s chest squeeze.
“No burning books,” Aqua said, but there was a slight smile on her face.
It wasn’t quite enough to lighten the atmosphere; there was something almost oppressive there now, a grief that felt tangible, hanging over the room like cobwebs. “We can keep looking later,” Aqua decided finally, pushing the book under the bed and carefully out of sight. “Terra, can you grab one of those boxes?”
Terra moved to help, and Ven started towards them—
“Eraqus, you—homework—”
“Come on, please?”
Ven nearly jumped out of his skin, whipping around. Near the windowsill, he thought he could see flickering, static-like apparitions of a black-haired boy, speaking someone else who was cloaked in shadow.
“Ven?” Aqua called.
“Ah, coming!” Ven scooped a box into his hands, trotting after Aqua.
2025 Writing Goals
...Did I do one of these last year?? I...genuinely can't remember. But! I'm doing one this year--mostly to organize my own thoughts, haha, but I guess also to give people some updates, if anyone's interested in that?
But, uh, 2024 was...a year. The long and the short of it is: I am very burnt out. Most of that is due to my job, but other things have factored into it, too. (There were. So many animal emergencies this past year.) Because of that, I'm going to try to tailor my goals to be...a bit gentler. In theory.
As for the individual stories...
The Age of Fairytales (And Other Assorted Myths)
This is...probably officially going on hiatus, unfortunately. I don't particularly want it to, but I think it probably needs to. I've been struggling to write chapters a lot more than expected, and have been stressed about getting things out in a timely fashion, which is. Not particularly how I want to interact with fandom, and I don't want the story to suffer because of it. Some of this I think is due to the writing style (the myths specifically, which are different from my normal style), but most of it is from the aforementioned burnout. I don't think I was actually ready to have a regularly updated fic again, even if I thought I was (How was three months not enough time?? has been running circles around my head.), and probably should've stuck with my original plan of trying to write everything out, and then starting to post it.
That said, there's a reason it's going on hiatus, and isn't cancelled or anything, and it's because I still really like the idea. So for the moment, it might be going on the backburner, but hopefully I'll be able to bring it out and do more with it in the future.
(Also, like. Feel free to ask me about any lore stuff? Because I really, really want to talk about it, I'm just currently finding it difficult to put it into story format.
...I suppose I could also just make a lot of general worldbuilding posts in the meantime, too, which would be. Significantly easier. ...I'll have to see on that one.)
On My Heart
I really want to get back to working on this one; it's probably going to be my main "traditional" story. That said, I don't have a set goal for this; basically, I just want to make "decent progress" on it, haha. I'm going to try and take it easy and hopefully get at least some content that I'm happy with! (The beginning I already have, at least, feels pretty solid; now I just have to build onto that.)
One-Shots
I have four one-shots that have been sitting half-completed in my documents that I'd really like to finish at some point, which are:
coda: A Fallen Stars one-shot, covering the first year after the end of the story.
Children of Ozymandias: An AU where the Union Leaders (plus Player and Elrena) all remain together after the fall of Daybreak Town, examined through the eyes of people who don't have much relation to Keyblade wielders.
Touch of Midas: Hoder character study.
Ghosts of All We've Known: Ven-centric story looking at his connection to Scala, his buried memories of Daybreak Town, and his complicated thoughts about Eraqus and Xehanort and their past in Scala.
Of these, "Ghosts of All We've Known" is the one I most want to complete; I really like both the idea and what I've written so far, so hopefully I'll be able to finish that one this year, at least. "coda" also has a pretty good chance of being completed, just because, like...that's what I tend to work on when I'm feeling stressed, haha. So we'll see which of those two gets finished first!
(I would like to finish the other two sometime, as well, but...we'll stick with easy goals for now, and see how I'm feeling once those are done.)
And, uh...those are basically my plans for this year! I'm going to try very hard to just...kind of take things a bit easier. Keyword: try.
#kingdom hearts#my writing#i'm REALLY hoping to get this one done#so hopefully you'll see the full thing before the year's out!

Where You Can Get the Best SCALA Assignment Help?
Scala is a programming language that combines object-oriented and functionalprogramming into one high-level, concise language. Many well known organizations are moving from Java to Scala programming because it improves scalability and productivity of the organization. Scala runs on the Java platform and is compatible with Java programs already in existence which is an added advantage.
Scala is a programming language largely compared to Java and Python because of their capability of all of them being used by big data experts when choosing a programming language for Apache Spark. Different data analysts or data scientists may prefer any of the programming languages between Scala and Python because of the benefits they realize. Charlatans: Chapter 1: Imitation is the Sincerest Form of Flattery
As most of you already knew, I was updating the intro to this story to clear up some stuff...and because I wanted to just...get some information set up, since I really didn’t like the thoughts going on that Adrien might be an idiot, and that Marinette would leave without informing Chat Noir about what was going on. The two of them respect each other, and she treats him as a partner, a friend, and an equal. On top of that, some Gina sugar, before getting to the Lila and Mallory salt! Which while mild, is going to culminate itself in the next chapter. I hope you guys like this redo, and that you like the ideas for the trip I’d set up for Gina and Marinette! Also once again, the original idea of a fake ladybug au was never mine to start with, I’ve seen it done over and over again by various people my personal favorite one being Checking Sources but if anyone knows who originally came up with the idea, please let me know, I genuinely do want to give them credit for the idea! Also for the most part, everything after Marinette getting back home is kind of the same, for the most part, save for the conversation with Tikki when Tikki makes her go to sleep.
It had come out of nowhere when Gina had decided to visit, and pull Marinette out of school, leaving the poor girl without any notice and without any ability to contact her friends about what had happened, instead just her parents had known, as it was a surprise for her after all, Tuesday night Gina came like the whisper of a breeze before a storm, powerful and fresh, but pushing all the right buttons to make a person comfortable and happy, and Marinette couldn’t deny it, being around her Nonna made her happy, so to go out and traverse Brussels, Vianden, and Milan, then come back home to Paris had seemed like a dream come true in a way. While Marinette knew she wouldn’t be able to spend as much time as she might have preferred with Gina, the small bit that she was being allotted for this trip was more than enough for her. Sending Marinette and Gina up to rest together for their early day, getting up at around the same time that Tom was to begin prep work for the bakery just to ensure that they’d make their seats on the train at Gard Nour station in order to reach Brussels effectively, Marinette let out a sigh of joy.
Of course, her parents had been more than certain to pack up her clothing for this surprise, gathering as much as they could for her in a duffel bag, though now, they had no idea of the actual true necessities, a satellite phone that she’d been slowly paying off in order to keep in touch with the world about what was going on in France from nearly anywhere else in the world, all in preparation since her fourteenth birthday when Gina had made her the promise about taking her away for some time, and the horse miraculous glasses, which lay hidden inside the gramophone that Wang Fu had left to her after he passed the title of Guardian over to her. Softly she pressed in the combination to open the device, and with a nimble quickness her fingers softly opened each compartment until she found the correct one and pulled out the glasses, setting them in center of the neck hole in her shirt, ready to use should the time call for it, though now only appearing to be a cute accessory to anyone that asked.
“I hope that I can actually have some fun on this trip, you know, without the usual Ladybug worries...” Marinette whispered to Tikki who zoomed out of her purse and nuzzled up to Marinette’s cheek.
“I think you don’t have too much to worry about! After all, Hawkmoth has been a little slow lately, so maybe you’ll be okay!” Tikki offered as Marinette sighed.
“Should I give Chat the number to my satellite phone in case anything goes wrong, or should I just keep updates from the Ladyblog and just let him know I’ll be gone for a bit?” Marinette asked as Tikki held a small hand up to her own face and gave it a small bit of thought, the anxiousness creeping through Marinette’s features.
“You should definitely let him know you’ll be gone, but if you want to keep your identity safe, don’t tell him about the satellite phone, just tell him you’ll be keeping updated with the Ladyblog! He might be able to help you get information from there faster in case Alya is slow to update!” Tikki offered as Marinette nodded, calling on the transformation magic then ducking into her closet, in case her parents had chosen that moment to pop their heads in. Pulling her yo-yo out she set up the call feature and was sent straight to his voicemail, which...made sense, especially if he wasn’t exactly active at that moment.
“Hey Chat! I just wanted to let you know that I’m going to be going to be out of Paris for a while---” she began before she realized that if he had known her as Marinette...which he seemed to already, then that might complicate things from her own absence...especially if he was going to go to Alya at all to get her to update the Ladyblog in a timely manner. “Uhh...my family wanted to visit Lyon and I’ll be out of school and I can’t exactly avoid going with them, but if there are any problems here in Paris I’ll come in with the horse miraculous, so no need to worry about me! But I will be keeping tabs on the state of things from the notices on the Ladyblog, so as long as there’s a notice on there I’ll make an appearance!” she offered, before closing the yo-yo, hanging up the call, then detransforming. “We should get some rest Tikki...” Marinette offered as Tikki nodded in approval, letting loose a small yawn.
The trip with Gina had been more than Marinette had ever expected, getting to visit the Cathedrale St-Michel was amazing, the architecture of it alone was just so fascinating, and for all of her life Marinette had only really had interests in fashion due to Gina, she had never thought to look into buildings, but now it was as if an entire new world was opening up to her, giving her more room to explore, but then going off to the Place Royale had given her the same level of attraction and affection toward this new field of wonder, the various shapes, the way everything was held together, how something so historic could still hold so much presence in the lives of so many people, and how it alone could bring in people like her and Gina to envision and experience from it...it was like a fascinating and beautiful new avenue, and suddenly she was lit with excitement from every which way...and this was just the first part of the first day!
The Belgian Royal Museum of Fine Arts was another avenue that gave Marinette a lot of inspiration, Gina following after her, a bit bored herself with the idea of a museum, though Marinette had all but ran through the area, her sketchbook in hand, sketching up a storm as she gazed longingly at each and every painting in the museum, her mind fluttering about. The only problem with all of it was that she had yearned to take photos with her normal phone, but knowing the roaming charges would be astronomical, she opted against it, and when Gina had remained too far behind, Marinette had taken a moment to give Tikki a small treat inside her purse, and allowed for Tikki to come out for a brief second to view her sketchbook and the painting she stood in front of, sharing a soft moment with her wonderful companion. Soon after though, due to Gina’s boredom, the pair had left to the Atomium to take many goofy photos together and get some lunch, ending the tour of Brussels at the Mont des Arts, before Gina rented a motorcycle and Marinette had stuffed the horse miraculous in her purse, practically chaining it across her front, as they rode the next three hours out to Luxembourg.
Finding a hotel for the night, Marinette had been certain to check up on the Ladybug one more time, having absently checked it moments throughout the day as if it were second nature, still coming up with nothing she was overjoyed to find just that...there was nothing. Another day when Hawkmoth wasn’t going to make an appearance.
The few days of exploring with Gina were absolutely wonderful, doing a tree climbing course in Vianden and proving to Gina that she was fitter than she might seem (though that was entirely thanks to her job as Ladybug!), going on the chairlift and looking down at the town below, visiting the bronze bust of Victor Hugo and taking photos with it, then visiting the Chateau de Vianden to close that day out...it was almost surreal, she couldn’t believe how small the world looked from above in the chairlift. She’d been in planes a few times before in her past, but to actually watch as something gets smaller below her without the benefit of her Ladybug suit was strange and exhilarating, and then to outdo her grandmother while climbing the trees was something else in itself. Gina had attributed it to all of her energy, but she and Tikki both knew better as they joked while they waited for the others in the tree climbing course to meet her up above. And throughout that day she also continued to check in on everything gradually, though before they had left the Chateau de Vianden and had taken a plane out to Milan, she had checked again, still coming up empty from the Ladyblog.
The day in Milan had been strange...it dragged on for Marinette, she didn’t really like the city, because it had been too stuffy, there were too many religious things to visit, and she just wasn’t all that interested, but she stuck it out for Gina, as Gina had done for her back in Brussels, and eventually the two had gone to have lunch together, both agreeing that after visiting the Opera at Teatro alla Scala, they would make their way back to Paris, and then spend whatever time was left getting ice cream and cooling down with the rest of the family.
When they had finally taken a plane back home to Paris and the two of them had gotten to the bakery, Sabine handed Marinette a packet of homework, with a note on it from Alya, which simply said “CHECK YOUR MESSAGES GIRL!” and Marinette waited on it, while she wanted to give her friend some attention, she was more interested in spending some more time with Gina and her parents, going off to have dinner with them, and when she was finally ready to get upstairs, she turned her satellite phone off, turned her normal phone on, put the horse miraculous away, and then went to check her phone for the messages Alya wanted her to read, and it was as if everything in the world had come to a screeching halt the moment that she read a single text from Alya.
>>>GIRL, YOU WON'T BELIEVE IT, LADYBUG IS A CONFIRMED STUDENT HERE IN OUR CLASS!
She felt her heart contract, no...no they couldn't be close to finding her identity. No. This wasn't possible, she was so careful!
As the panic set in she couldn't bring herself to respond to Alya. "Tikki...we might have a problem, Alya said someone in our class is Ladybug..." she whispered.
"What?!" Tikki's high-pitched squeal painted her ears.
"I don't...I don't know how this could have happened!" she whispered.
"Well...if Alya didn't say anything about Ladybug being you, maybe they don't really know yet!" Tikki pointed out and finally Marinette was able to breathe in relief, her heartbeat finally slowing to a more steady pace.
"Y-you're right! I shouldn't worry! I should go to bed...tomorrow we can figure this out!" she whispered as Tikki flew to her pillow and Marinette curled up in the bed herself. All that she had hoped was that whatever was going on, Chat hadn't heard about it...but that was wishful thinking, wasn't it? She had been absent from the city for a few days, which means that whatever Alya had said was probably on the Ladyblog...OH MY GOD IT WAS PROBABLY ON THE LADYBLOG! She thought, reaching for her phone she began to scroll upward before Tikki flew through it and huffed, glaring Marinette in the face.
"It's time to sleep!" Tikki stated as Marinette sighed.
"I know but I just thought we should check the Ladyblog in case Alya posted something on it!" Marinette rationalized.
"No! You can worry about it tomorrow! Besides, you've been checking the Ladyblog all week on the trip, and right now you need a clear and level head so sleep!" Tikki insisted, and with hesitation, Marinette relented.
For once, she hadn't slept through her alarm, and rolled off of her bed, rushing through her morning routine, and zipping off to school after she had finished. She had a lot of time to spare, which was a surprise, but as she made her way through the school doors and into her class, where she found Alya sitting, her best friend's eyes went wide for a minute before getting back to normal, as if a realization washed over her for a moment then faded.
"Hey, Alya! So what was with your text? I would have responded sooner but as soon as I got home I was just exhausted and kind of passed out, and this morning I forgot to respond! I'm so sorry!" she apologized before Alya's eyes perked up again.
"You are NOT going to believe the scoop I got for you! There's this new girl in our class, Mallory, and she's Ladybug! She even has the Ladybug earrings and looks EXACTLY like her!" Alya whispered. "She even knows stuff about the Miraculous that only Ladybug would know!" she whispered, which deflated Marinette's mood. Well...at least...it wasn't that her identity was outed.
"Oh...I mean...are you sure she's really Ladybug? It...seems a little too good to be true..." Marinette offered, which Alya rolled her eyes at.
"Are you going to get upset at this girl like you do at Lila because she's also spending time with Adrien?" Alya asked with a huff, and Marinette rolled her eyes. Of course, it always came down to jealousy, even if she didn't actually know that this Mallory girl was interested in Adrien.
"Alya...I don't know anything about this girl...I've been gone a few days, remember? Besides, if Ladybug is adamant about identities being a secret then why would she tell you before she told Chat Noir?" she offered, which Alya again huffed at.
"She didn't just tell me, she told the whole class!"
"Well then that makes it even less likely that she's actually Ladybug, don't you think?" Marinette stated flatly before a girl who could almost be her double walked up the aisle and let out an angry huff.
"You must be the girl Lila told me about, Marinette, right? Well you don't have to believe that I'm Ladybug, but you should at least not try to drag me into your drama!" she snapped as Marinette rolled her eyes.
"Then you shouldn't lie to the class about something so serious." Marinette countered as the girl scoffed and stomped up the stairs to her seat in the back. Whoever that girl was, she definitely wasn't even a good replica of Ladybug, all she had were similar looks to Marinette's own, nothing more, she clearly couldn’t replicate the way that she carried herself as Ladybug, she stood too straight and poised, and even as Ladybug that was something that Marinette struggled with, and if anyone actually believed that Mallory was Ladybug then they really were blind.

Reasons - Bragi x Reader
So, forever ago, when I wrote Fluffcoat, it almost went down a different path. Well I saved that path and decided I wanted to write it. It’s not my best work, but it was something fun. That and I gotta move on. But I’ve been dying for some Bragi, so here we go!
~~~~~
“Ugh, I can’t believe I let you drag me out here.” The red-head tightens his jacket around himself.
A smile pulls at the corner of my lips. “I didn’t ask you to come, Bragi. You heard ‘pastry shop’ and announced to everyone you were coming with me…loudly.”
“Well someone had to come help you carry it all back.” He lifts his single bag to show off just how much he’s “helping.”
“I wouldn’t have as much to carry back if you hadn’t announced it to everyone.” I shove against his shoulder before pointing at the dark clouds dribbling down on us. “And I wouldn’t have to worry about getting rained on if I didn’t have to take everyone’s orders.” As if on cue, a shiver ripples through me as punishment for leaving my coat in my dorm room.
“You know that pack of hyenas would’ve mauled you if you came back without something for everyone.” He has me there. “I saved your hide. Do you remember the last time Hermod came to class with a single cookie? Do you really wanna see Vor go savage again?”
“…No.”
That signature Smarmy grin flashes at me. “Didn’t think so. Now step on it or we’ll be right in the middle of the storm.”
Bragi. My gods, Bragi. He’s that friend that’s always got a smart-ass response, the one that somehow manages to drag everyone into trouble even if they had nothing to with his schemes. And somehow, beyond my comprehension, he conned me into having a crush on him. Okay, I wasn’t conned—I was doomed. Since our first meeting, I was drawn to that cool, aloof composure of his; then, as I got to know him more, he hit me with that goofy, charming idiocy he kept hidden and I never had a chance. I can’t refuse the chance to spend even a minute with him. He’s cleverer than he lets on though, so I’ll be surprised if he hasn’t noticed my interest in him. What I don’t know is what he’ll do with that information and that’s why I haven’t done anything about it.
Just as we pick up the pace, the skies decide to let loose all they’ve been holding back.
“Shit, too late,” Bragi hisses. Taking my wrist, he pulls me off-route towards an overpass just off our path. He heaves a sigh once we’re under cover. “Well ain’t this just peachy.”
Standing just beneath shelter, I look out at the wall of water imprisoning us—one step forward and we’d be soaked in an instant.
“I guess when Scala decides to rain, it pours.”
“We could chance it and run for the castle, but we’ll be soaked to the bone, including all our goodies,” Bragi says. “Or we can wait it out until it lightens up, but who knows how long that will take.”
Ambling towards the white wall, I plop down to wait. “It’s not like I’m in a hurry to go anywhere though I don’t think the others will be happy with the delay. But I’ll hold onto the snacks if you wanna make a run for it.”
Bragi sits beside me. “Nah. Hermod was trying to harass me about my homework before I left; not in a hurry to get that done.”
“So that’s why you wanted to come with me.” I nudge at him with my elbow.
Laughing, he pushes me off. “Only part of the reason.”
“And the other?” A finger taps against his cocky lips. “Oh come on! Tell me!”
“Not a chance, darlin’.”
“Bragi!” My ears burn as I shove against his shoulder again—it doesn’t bother him one bit and I can’t get over just how light his laugh makes me feel.
Idle chatter floats between us with little sign of the storm ending any time soon. While our shelter keeps us safe from the downpour, the cold is working its way to the bone. Before long, my muscles ache from the deep shiver seizing my insides. I can’t keep it contained forever and one inevitably jostles my arm against my classmate.
“You gettin’ cold, huh?” he hums.
“It’s getting there,” I reply, puffing warm air into my frigid fingers.
“Shoulda brought a jacket.”
“Well I didn’t think I would be out long enough to get caught in this,” I retort with a glare.
“Don’t blame me for your poor choices.”
When my eyes narrow at him, Bragi just rolls his eyes. I return to my trembling, now praying for the rain to end when Bragi unzips his jacket.
“Get over here,” he says.
“What?” I question whether or not I heard him right.
He insists. “Come on. The best way to keep warm is sharing body heat.”
My brain churns over his words, still trying to comprehend. When I don’t react, however, Bragi scoots closer, wraps his jacket around me, and pulls me against him. The instant the warmth hits, my hands clutch at his shirt where I bury my face. Clinging to him is like sitting next to a crackling fire which melts the chill I’d been fending off within moments.
“How the hell are you so warm?” I murmur.
He chuckles. “The human body can produce enough heat in thirty minutes to boil water. I just like to collect it all in my coat.”
“How do you not die when it’s not cold outside?”
“Magic.”
Not about to get a real answer from him anytime soon, I sigh and bask in the warmth. But there’s more than that. Cinnamon and spice envelop me in a cozy cloud, the rise and fall of his chest creates a peaceful sway, and the beat of his heart soothes the bashful panic rising in my own. This is more than I ever could’ve dreamed of; I’m just thankful he can’t see my face with the burning blush or lovestruck grin—he’d know in an instant my little secret if he doesn’t already. So, while he can’t see my weakness, perhaps I’ll let myself indulge in this euphoria while it’s within my grasp.
Intermingled body heat becomes a source of pure serenity and my consciousness slips into mindless peace. That breaks when Bragi breaks the silence.
“Looks like the rain’s letting up.”
Both relief and regret rise in me. Mentally kicking myself, I pull away to look out at the storm. I can actually see more than ten feet in front of me now.
“About time,” I murmur despite my feelings. I get to my feet, pulling Bragi with me.
“Don’t get your hopes up yet. This is just a lull,” he says, pointing at the sky—there are still more dark clouds to come. “But we better skedaddle before it picks up again or we could be stuck here all night.”
More mental conflicts. “Yeah, okay.”
Before I can pick up the bags, a weight drapes across my back, wafting that spice around me. I look back at the culprit just in time for him to zip up the jacket he’s trapped me with.
“Better bundle up now.” He takes advantage of my surprise and scoops up the bags himself. As he stands straight, he pulls the hood up over my eyes. “Would be a shame if you caught a cold.”
“What about you?” I retort, shoving my arms through the sleeves so I can push fluff from my eyes.
“Meh, I could use the sick days,” he says with a simper.
“I see, you’re just trying to out of doing classwork again.”
“Whatever you say, darlin’.”
Bragi always uses nicknames, for everyone, but I have never heard him use “darling” for anyone; and now he’s used it for me—twice.
I only just start managing the shock when Bragi snags my fingers. In disbelief, I look to him, but he’s staring out at the drizzle.
“Keep up, okay?” Something strange in his voice covers up the usual confident, teasing tone. It douses my concern and inexplicably draws me in.
I secure my grip around his hand. “Okay.”
The increasing rain is suddenly no longer my top concern; instead I focus on keeping up with Bragi for if I fall behind, my grasp on his hand will slip. He never lets up on the sprint and I somehow manage to keep up with him, not even paying attention to our destination anymore. He could run us all the way down to the docks and I’d be running along right behind him. It doesn’t matter right now where we’re going, at least not to me. I want to hold onto the closeness we had, the warmth we shared; I want to hold his hand—no matter how one-sided this all may be.
And, as they do, all good things must come to an end.
We reach the citadel and student dorms too soon for my taste; once we get inside, this little delusion of mine will end. My only condolence will be the ability to lock myself in my room and fantasize over the encounter away from prying eyes.
Suddenly, two steps from the front door, Bragi stops. I, myself, nearly slam into him from the sudden halt.
“Bragi! What are you doing?! Get inside!”
Without warning, he turns on me. His hand around mine disappears, gripping the jacket to jerk me closer. The hood falls back, exposing me to the chilly rain, but that’s not the part I’m focused on right now. No, my focus is entirely on Bragi’s lips against my cheek. There’s definitely no more chill as fire surges beneath my skin, starting with my cheek.
He pulls away, amber eyes aglow and all the mischief missing in his expression.
“That’s the other reason,” he says softly.
It takes a second to click in my brain, in which time Bragi turns away, pushing his way into the student dorms. I follow after him up the stairs to our floor where everyone is sitting around the commons.
“Come and get it, kiddos,” he announces, sounding exhausted.
“’Bout time you two showed up,” Xehanort says, on his feet and leading the pack closer. “You get caught in the storm or what? You two look like drowned rats.”
“Thanks,” Bragi retorts. The bags in his hand are shoved into Hermod’s. “Next time you guys can get your own snacks.”
“Th-These bags are full of water!” Hermod holds up the waterlogged bags.
“So a bunch of soggy sweets, huh,” Urd mutters as Eraqus and Vor poke the bags. The pen in Era’s hand punctures the plastic which starts leaking.
“ERAQUS!”
Hermod scurries out of the room with the bags with Vor for help and Eraqus exclaiming apologies. Urd sighs and follows Xehanort after the disaster in progress. It’s Baldr who pauses to give us a second glance.
“Are you guys okay? You were gone a long time.”
“Yeah, we’re good. We had to take shelter during the worst of it,” Bragi tells him. “But it was fine.”
Bragi’s eyes flickering to me catch my attention but he glances away. After what happened, I would’ve thought he’d be all over teasing me but maybe I have it wrong. Maybe while I was hiding my giddy infatuation in his shirt, he was hiding his in my hair.
“Well you better get dried off before you catch colds,” Baldr hums.
It’s my turn to take the initiative. I take Bragi’s hand and give Baldr a smile. “Don’t worry; we’ll stay warm.”
The rare surprise on Bragi’s face quickly turns to a genuine smile.
Baldr glances between us, smiles, and says, “Okay. I’m just gonna go watch the chaos in the kitchen.”
We watch him walk away, waiting until the kitchen door swings shut before someone says something.
I’ve never seen Bragi bashful and yet he still manages to mix in that smarmy nature. “Soooo…dry off and share some body heat?”
I lean in, placing a kiss against his cheek. “I’ll bring a blanket.”
The Lost Princess Chapter 38
Warnings: same as the last chapter
Rating: SFW
“A scattered dream that's like a far-off memory.”
“A far-off memory that's like a scattered dream.”
“I want to line the pieces up--yours and mine.”
It was your birthday yet again in Daybreak Town. All of the foretellers gathered together and released lanterns for your birthday.
“How long do you think we’ll keep this up?” Aced asked.
“Till I get my daughter back,” Ira said.
“But we don’t even know if she’s alive. How do you know that you’ll get her back?” Invi said.
“I can feel it in my heart. She’s alive and she’s happy. And she will return.”
~~~~
Xehanort smirked at the sight of the lanterns entering Scala ad Caelum.
“So, he’s still hopeful of his daughter. He won’t be for long,” he said. He summoned his Keyblade and broke one of the lanterns.
“That girl will fall into darkness. She just needs a little convincing,” he said.
~~~~
Roxas walked through the basement corridor. He saw two capsules with familiar faces inside.
“...Donald. ...Goofy?” he asked. He turned to the door at the end of the hall and entered. DiZ was standing in a completely bright room in front of a single large capsule.
“At last, the Keyblade's chosen one. The protector of the Spirit,” he said.
“Who are you talking to? Me? Or Sora?” Roxas asked.
“To half of Sora, of course. You reside in darkness. What I need is someone who can move about the realm of light and destroy Organization XIII.”
“Why? Who are you?”
“I am a servant of the world.” DiZ laughed.
“And if I'm a servant, then you should consider yourself a tool, at best,” he said.
“Was that... Was that supposed to be a joke?” Roxas asked as he summoned his keyblade.
“'Cause I'm not laughing!” he said. Roxas ran up to DiZ and struck through him. The Keyblade created a wave of data through DiZ. Roxas, surprised, stood straight.
“My apologies. This is only a data-based projection,” DiZ said. Roxas screamed in anger, and futilely struck DiZ repetitively with the Keyblade. DiZ vanished and reappeared behind him while Roxas caught his breath.
“Come, over here,” DiZ said. Roxas stared at DiZ.
“I hate you so much...” he said.
“You should share some of that hatred with Sora. He's far too nice for his own good,” DiZ said.
“No! My heart belongs to me!” Roxas ran and cut again through DiZ. DiZ disappeared and the capsule glowed. The mechanical petals opened slowly and revealed what they contained.
“Sora...(Y/N)...” Roxas said. There, you and Sora were sleeping soundly in the capsule.
“You're lucky. Looks like my summer vacation is...over,” Roxas said. Roxas turned around and faded to white.
“Sora? (Y/N)?” he asked.
“Huh?” you asked.
“Who's there?” Sora asked.
“Sora! (Y/N)!” Donald said.
“Wake up, you two,” Goofy said. You and Sora woke up and the capsule opened again in front of Donald and Goofy. You and Sora stretch and the other two laugh at how small your clothes have gotten. You and Sora jumped out of the capsule in front of them and grabbed them in your arms.
“Donald!” you said.
“Goofy!” Sora said. The four of you laughed and hopped in a circle. Jiminy Cricket climbed on Sora's shoulder, yawned, and stretched. Odile did the same thing on your shoulder.
“That was some nap!” Jiminy said. Jiminy hopped down to the floor.
“You mean, we were asleep?” you asked.
“I guess we musta been, or I don't think we'd be so drowsy...”
“When do ya think we went to sleep?” Goofy asked.
“Uhh...” Donald said.
“Let's see...we defeated Ansem...” Sora said.
“Yep,” Goofy said.
“...restored peace to the world...found Kairi... Oh yeah, and then we went to look for Riku. And my brother gave me Odile and showed me memories of my parents. I think that's right so far,” you said.
“Then what?” Donald asked.
“What does your journal say, Jiminy?” Goofy asked. Jiminy took out his journal.
“Gee, there's only one sentence... ‘Thank Naminé.’ Hmm... I wonder who that is,” he said. You, Sora, Donald, Odile, and Goofy looked at one another and shook your heads.
“Some journal that is,” Donald said.
“Well, what do ya say we find out where we are!” Jiminy said. You and the group walked to Twilight Town and entered the Usual Spot.
“You know, I think I've been to this town,” Sora said.
“Me too,” you said.
“What's it called?” Donald asked.
“Hmm... Guess we must've imagined it,” Sora said. Hayner, Olette, and Pence were boredly lying around the room.
“What do you want!?” Hayner asked.
“Uh, nothing. Just wondering what was back here,” you said.
“Now you know. This is our spot.”
“Umm...” Pence said.
“What?” Sora asked.
“You're...new around here, right? I'm Pence.”
“Hayner. Nice to meet you, but we got stuff to do, so catch ya later,” Hayner said as he left.
“My name's Olette. Hey, did you finish up the summer homework, yet? Independent studies are the worst, huh?” Olette said.
“Homework?” you and Sora asked. The two of you looked at Donald and Goofy, who shrugged.
“Hey, what're your names?” Pence asked.
“Oh. We’re Sora, (Y/N), Donald, and Goofy,” Goofy said.
“And this is Odile,” you said. Odile popped out and looked at everyone.
“Aww, she’s so cute!” Olette said as she scratched under Odile’s chin. Odile purred at the feeling.
“You know, we just met someone who was looking for you,” Goofy said.
“He sure seemed in a hurry. He had a black coat on so I couldn't see his face, but he had these big round ears,” Pence said.
“The King!” Donald said.
“Where'd you see him?” Sora asked.
“At the station,” Pence said.
“The station! Thanks!” you said.
“Well, we'd better get back to that assignment,” Olette said.
“Later,” Pence said. Him and Olette lef the Usual Place, leaving you, Odile and the trio by yourselves.
“Oh boy! The King's trying to find us!” Donald said.
“Yeah, let's get to the station!” Sora said. The five of you entered the Sandlot and found Seifer, Fuu and Rai.
“Hey you, where'd you come from?” Seifer asked.
“Uhh...” you said.
“You here to pick a fight with us or something?”
“Fight? We're not here to fight,” Sora said.
“Yeah, you big palooka!” Donald said.
“Okay, smartalecks... Time to teach you how to behave in my town. Bring it!” Seifer said. Him, Fuu, and Rai took defensive stances. Odile stood in front of you and the trio in a hostile manner.
“Calm down, Odile. We’re not gonna fight these guys,” you said.
“Man, what a jerk,” Sora said. Donald nodded and the five of you continued your trek to find the station. The five of you continued to Central Station and were suddenly surrounded by Dusks. You all fought them, but were overwhelmed and became exhausted. Mickey appeared on the ledge of the station. As the Dusks striked again and Sora held up his Keyblade while you held onto your dagger and Odile, Mickey swooped down and destroyed the remaining Nobodies with his own Keyblade. You and Sora were amazed. Donald and Goofy pushed you and Sora down and out of the way.
“Your Majesty?” Donald asked.
“Shh! You gotta board the train and leave town! The train knows the way,” Mickey said as he held out a pouch of munny.
“Here,” he said. Sora took it and Mickey ran to Market Street.
“Your Majesty...” Donald said.
“The King... Was that really him?” Sora asked.
“It coulda been... Yep, I know it was!” Goofy said.
“Now we know he's okay!” Donald said.
“The king was locked in the realm of darkness, right?” you asked.
“Uh-huh,” Goofy said.
“But we just saw him,” Sora said.
“Yep,” Donald said.
“And if the king is here, that means Riku’s here!” you said.
“He’s gotta be!” Donald said.
“Well, (Y/N) and I are gonna go look for Riku. Then we can go back to the islands together. Kairi’s there waiting for us! What are you two gonna do?” Sora said.
“Gawrsh, Sora. Do ya have to ask?” Goofy said. You and Sora giggled. Odile nudged your cheek, grabbing your attention.
“Huh? What is it, Odile?” you asked. Odile moved around, asking about Vanitas.
“Vani...I don’t know. I don’t know where he is or if he’s okay. But as long as I have you, Odile, I think he’ll be okay,” you said.
“You really care about him, huh?” Donald asked.
“Of course. He was my best friend and my brother. I have to know if he’s okay.”
“Hey, what do ya say, guys? Let’s stick together for one more journey,” Sora said. You all nodded in agreement.
“To...where again?” he asked.
“We hafta board the train!” Goofy said.
“Oh yeah.” You and Donald sighed while Odile shook her head.
“C'mon!” Sora said. The four of you ran inside the station.
“Wait up!” Hayner said. Him, Pence, and Olette caught up to you.
“Hey, Sora, (Y/N)...” he said.
“What?” you asked.
“Nothing, but...”
“We came to see you off. It just seemed like something we oughta do,” Pence said.
“Oh...really? Thanks!” Sora said. Suddenly, there was a ringing sound.
“You should hurry and get your tickets,” Olette said.
“Right,” you said. Sora took out the Munny Pouch at the teller and Olette noticed.
“What is it?” you asked. Olette took an exact copy of the Munny Pouch.
“They're the same,” Goofy said.
“Yeah,” Olette said. Sora looked to both pouches and shrugged.
“Four tickets, please!” he said. The teller gave him four tickets.
“I can't help feeling like we won't see this town again...” Sora said.
“Why not?” you asked.
“You're thinkin' too much,” Goofy said.
“Yeah, you're right!” You and the Trio boarded the train and followed it to Master Yen Sid’s tower.
~~~~
A girl was walking along the halls of a castle, trying to find her sister. She soon found her, reading a book in the seating area. She walked over to her and looked at her.
“Ugh, what do you want?” the sister asked.
“Father wants to see us,” the girl said. The sister groaned and followed the girl to their father’s office. The girl knocked on the door and waited for her father’s response.
“Enter,” he said. The two girls entered and saw their father at his desk.
“You wanted to see us?” the sister asked.
“Yes. A spirit has awoken. Find her and bring her here,” he said.
“A spirit? I thought that we were the only ones,” the girl said.
“Well, you’re not. Now go and don’t keep me waiting.”
“Yes, father,” the two girls said. They walked out of his office and walked down the halls.
“Should we ask Uncle Xigbar for help?” the sister asked.
“No. I think we can handle ourselves. Besides, it’s just one spirit. We’re far more stronger than she is,” the girl said. The sister smirked and summoned her weapon.
“This is going to be fun,” she said.

These regression techniques are used to investigate the numeric data known as depend information. Based on the discrete chance distributions specifically Poisson, unfavorable binomial distribution the regression models try to fit the data to those distributions.
You will also be taught concerning the google page ranking algorithm as a part of this module. Extension to logistic regression We have a multinomial regression method used to predict a a number of categorical consequence. Understand the concept of multi logit equations, baseline and making classifications using chance outcomes.
This is helping to create myriad knowledge science/analytics job alternatives in this house. The void between the demand and provide for the Data Scientists is huge and hence the salaries pertaining to Data Science are sky high and considered to be the most effective in the industry. Data Scientist profession path is long and profitable because the era of online data is perpetual and growing sooner or later. Kickstart your studying of Python for data science, in addition to programming normally, with this newbie-pleasant introduction to Python. Python is likely one of the world’s most popular programming languages, and there has never been higher demand for professionals with the power to apply Python fundamentals to drive enterprise options across industries. To perceive the data, they use a variety of tool libraries, corresponding to Machine Learning, statistics and probability, linear and logistic regression, time collection analysis, and more.
This information science demonstrates your proficiency in complicated drawback solving with the most sophistical technology available in the market. The Data Science certificates is your passport to an accelerated career path. 360digitmgResearch Lab is likely one of the best information science training institute in Hyderabad. This team advised me to go along with an information science course, for the first two days I heard the demo and simply received impressed by their instructing and with no second thought choose data science course.
Other than that, lots of the actual advantages, like accessing graded homework and tests, are only accessible should you improve. If you have to keep motivated to finish the complete course, committing to a certificate also puts money on the line so you’ll be much less more likely to give up. I assume there’s definitely private value in certificates, but, unfortunately, not many employers value them that much. One massive difference between Udemy and other platforms, like edX, Coursera, and Metis, is that the latter supply certificates upon completion and are usually taught by instructors from universities. It turned out to be extremely powerful working on one thing I was keen about. It was easy to work exhausting and be taught nonstop as a result of predicting the market was something I actually needed to accomplish.
With the instruments hosted within the cloud on Skills Network Labs, you will be able to check each tool and follow directions to run simple code in Python, R or Scala. You will work on highly exciting initiatives within the domains of excessive know-how, ecommerce, advertising, sales, networking, banking, insurance coverage, etc.

360digitmg doesn't currently have a approach to offer certificates, so I usually discover Udemy programs to be good for extra utilized studying materials, whereas Coursera and edX are normally better for concept and foundational materials. Python is used on this course, and there’s many lectures going through the intricacies of the various information science libraries to work via actual-world, interesting issues. This is likely one of the solely data science programs around that really touches on every a part of the data science process. Lastly, when you’re extra thinking about studying information science with R, then definitely check out 360digitmg new Data Analyst in R path.

HighTech in Music Education
Well, here we are: my first MOOC debate assignment!
How much technology and the cultures around digital technology should influence education, and music education, in the 21st Century? While watching the videos for this course, we have seen different approaches towards technology: some schools encourage to use technology at any point in time, some others outline the importance of having the classes online while using modern technology means (in my institution at the moment we are heavily using Zoom, WhatsApp for sharing homework, etc.), while some other schools limit the use of technology. If there one true answer on which approach is the best for students? Believe me, there is no panacea as such; however, in the current circumstances that the world is facing now, we all realised the importance of technological literacy and the usage of these means. This allows students to keep on learning and getting their education during pandemic. Of course, a session in Zoom will never substitute a real experience and emotional connection during a music class while sitting next to the teacher, but this is a fair approach to keep the ball rolling.
Referring back to Bauer’s view on the fact that technology can be used as a “tool, medium, or instrument.” It is basically like using pigeon post in the century of instant messages and emails. Again, this pandemic taught us all that the way of working, interaction with students, etc. need some changes and adjustment to ensure sustainable continuity.
During one of the first videos one of the most powerful messages has been conveyed: nowadays it is more about guiding rather than directing. i will certainly pass this message to my current colleagues. Guiding is all about collaborating. There is a reason why Microsoft called MS Teams a collaboration tool. Same reason goes for Zoom, etc.
Using the modern means of technology, students can collaborate with teachers and peers from other towns and even countries. I mean, just look at me at the moment: I live in Kazakhstan and take a course at the University of Sydney. This is incredible and it clearly shows that technology wipes out all borders.
If we talk about technology, it is not only about the collaboration between teachers and students. Now people have access to various classical concerts, operas and ballets all over the world: today you can watch Giselle in Covent Garden, tomorrow - La Traviata in La Scala. Not only that, you can also time travel and watch concerts from 20 or 30 years ago and also learn from it... This is fascinating, isn’t it?
Since March 2020, I had totally embraced technology in my pedagogical practice in order to help my students to continue their education while maintaining the contact with them.

Plenty of people find cold emails annoying, but it’s actually one of the most tried-and-true sales tactics for generating new leads.
In fact, Dmitry Dragilev, founder of an outreach consulting service JustReachOut.io, claims he was able to help a startup called Polar get acquired by Google by helping them master the art of cold emailing.
Dragilev recently put together a bunch of cold email templates and resources on his own blog.
We sorted through the list and narrowed it down to 9 of the most effective cold email templates that Dragilev says almost always guarantee a response — and perhaps a successful sales meeting.
1. The $3,000 contract email

Dmitry Dragilev
1) Clearly states he’s familiar with the product and also a customer.
2) Establishes he knows his stuff by mentioning a big name customer.
3) Provides link to an actual example of his work.
4) Key point: Shows what the final product might look like, ensuring he’ll at least get noticed.
5) Closes with a question, making it easy for the reader to respond to the email with an answer.
WHAT YOU CAN LEARN:
“Don’t be afraid to give away tons of value. It means more work upfront, but you’ll stand out in the inbox.”
Source: Bryan Harris
2. A sales meeting cold mail done right

Dmitry Dragilev
1) Clearly identifies the sender, his current role, and what he’s trying to sell.
2) Pro tip: if you don’t know who to send an email to, just ask!
3) Clearly list the exact time and date, while mentioning the length of the call.
WHAT YOU CAN LEARN:
“Identify yourself clearly upfront, verify whether you’re talking to the right person, and clearly mention how much of their time you want (and when do you want it).”
3. The “best cold email pitch” HubSpot ever received

Hubspot
1) By referring to HubSpot’s blog post, he shows he’s not just a random spammer.
2) Mentions a competitor’s name to catch the reader’s attention.
3) Offers an actual demo video to give an idea of what the final product would look like.
WHAT YOU CAN LEARN:
“Personalize your emails beyond the ‘Hi [FirstName].’ Mention something the receiver might have done recently (check their blog or Twitter) to grab attention right in the first sentence.”
Source: HubSpot
4. The cold email that won meetings at LinkedIn and Twitter

oribi.io
1) A nice, succinct introduction.
2) She knows that the company runs Scala, so instead of sending them to the homepage, she linked to Takipi’s Scala-focused landing page.
3) Shows that she’s done her homework.
WHAT YOU CAN LEARN:
“Craft an email for just one person. Don’t tell them about everything your company does. Instead, personalize your email for one person alone and create an email that solves his/her specific problems.”
Source: oribi.io
5. A cold email to kickstart a business relationship

HubSpot
1) A clear, simple introduction, using established companies to describe what you do.
2) Explains the business focusing on the benefits, not the features.
3) Closes by asking for just 15 minutes of the recipient’s time, which is reassuring to busy people.
WHAT YOU CAN LEARN:
“Focus on benefits instead of features. This applies to everything from landing pages and sales letters to emails.”
Source: HubSpot
6. A cold email that landed a $15,000 consulting project

Messworks.com
1) Messwerks targeted growing companies that need help with UX and design work, so this opening line works like a charm.
2) A brief overview of what Messwerks can do – increase sales (super nice), engagements (who wouldn’t want that?), and conversions (every startup’s dream).
WHAT YOU CAN LEARN:
“Choose your targets wisely. You can do a lot with a simple email if you target just the right group of people with it. Don’t skimp on the homework and research your ideal customer thoroughly before you even send an email.”
Source: Clientflow.io
7. A cold email to schedule a sales call

Pipedrive
1) It asks for just 10 minutes. And what company wouldn’t want 100 more great customers?
2) Name drops a close competitor or industry leader and shows the results they got from this idea.
3) A very simple 3-line email, but if someone promised to get you 100 more customers and asked for just 10 minutes of your time, wouldn’t you be interested too?
WHAT YOU CAN LEARN:
“Tell prospects exactly what kind of results they can expect. Then tell them how long you’ll take to achieve it.”
Source: Pipedrive
8. A cold email that won over the founder of Branchout

Kopywritingkourse
1) Love it or hate it, you can’t ignore that first line (reminder for marketers: what doesn’t stand out gets forgotten).
2) A quick intro to what the email is all about, all bundled up inside 1 sentence.
3) He doesn’t write a 500-word explanation, but links to a page that tells Rick more about the conference.
4) Provides a quick summary of he’s trying to say
WHAT YOU CAN LEARN:
“Have fun. And mirror the image of your brand in your language. If you’re branding yourself as a fun, youthful alternative to stuffy conventional conferences, don’t use the same stuffy, conventional language in your emails.”
Source: kopywritingkourse
9. A cold email with a presentation

Life-long Learner
1) Jump right into the issue without an intro. This works when you already know the recipient. It also quickly grabs the attention.
2) Instead of writing a long email, this one just sends a visual presentation that shows what’s wrong.
3) He gives value by offering to take care of this for Dan. This could turn into a paid contract or even a fruitful relationship in the long-term.
WHAT YOU CAN LEARN:
“Show, don’t just tell. Instead of writing a 500-word long email of your ideas, just create a video or presentation that shows your ideas in action.”
