Customized 1/25 scale Revell '77 Jeep CJ-7 built as a custom painted Levi Edition with oak wood bumpers, hard halfdoors, Warn winch, custom "Hush Thrush" exhaust system with block hugger headers, and no top. Due to limited detail and poor fit on the engine, the engine cover is permanently sealed.

I've been watching a ton of videos about scale model kits and dioramas, and if it weren't such an expensive hobby I'd love to try my hand at it. Thing is, I don't care for tanks and planes AT ALL. I'm a white American male pushing 30, I am legally required to be a history buff, but I literally could not care less about the machines of war. I'm more into big picture statistics like frontline movements and dates/durations of battles. I couldn't tell a Sherman tank from a Jawa sandcrawler, but all the beginner friendly kits are generic war toys which make my eyes glaze over. I understand the appeal of model trains (not my thing either, but I understand it), but tanks and nazi planes mean nothing to me. I used to be into ships from Star Wars and Star Trek, but I don't want to give disney or paramount any of my money so they're both out of the question. I wish there were more videos about homemade models put together from assorted junk, not just kits. DIY improv.

Want to know how I sculpted the stone road on my most recent base? Its not overly difficult (if a bit time consuming) and as it uses polyclay it can be worked till you are happy.

I build scale models of tanks.
Regardless of your gender or sexuality, reblog this and tag your most hetero male trait. Mine is either obsessing over my Altima or sitting around watching TV shows about air disasters.
