Ok fuck it you know something I've never really quite understood about part of the Leftist vs Liberals debate on voting.

So so so many people act like its either-or. Like you're either dedicating your entire life to voting and promoting politicians and phone banking or whatever, or you're a True Rebel waiting for The Uprising to Come and Solve Everything.

But like. In my experience. Me voting is just me kinda go 'which person seems kinda good? Which one at least sucks the least? ok lemme go vote.' and then its anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour tops of my life. And I still have plenty of time to do Stuff and participate in Conversations about Other Important Things. And also you can admit and acknowledge and understand that the system As Is kinda sorta really sucks ass, but also still admit and acknowledge and understand that at this current point in time we are still living in the suckass system and do something to alleviate the suckass At Least A Little while also working to bolster/create/advocate for Other Systems.

I guess just like. it's not a black or white thing. Between 'top 500 volunteers for a specific politician/voting office/etc' and 'absolutely positively not voting at all' there is a gray area called 'vote and then just do other stuff'.

I just came back from a study session for my math exam tomorrow, and I guarantee you that Billy Batson would not survive SAT exams or other major academic ones. At least in my HC.

This child can survive monsters, monsoons, magic and malevolent forces, but math? No, this kid can't take on math for the life of him.

Maybe when he's almost 18, still hiding his identity from the league, he's secretly preparing for his SAT or college exams that when he speaks about it, the League seems to think he's facing a major threat to his life. When in reality, he just can't get the domain and range section right. Funny misunderstandings could happen, as well as a funny identity reveal

Billy is smart, he knows how to think on his feet and has a passion for learning things he finds interesting, but my poor boy is terrible at test taking.

But he'd try his hardest, studying as much as his crazy schedule would allow. I can just imagine everyone being worried that he seems extra stressed leading up to the exam, and the day comes and no one can reach him because he's busy taking the SAT and trying to get into college.

I don't know how the reveal would go but I can just see Billy telling them that he's fine and the only evil he fought that day was standardized testing.

i literally wrote an entire essay about the difference between absolutism and enlightened absolutism in an hour and just turned it in because fuck it it was due soon and i got my grade back today and i got a 98% lmaooo this is why i’m a history major this is like the only class i could pull this off in

my job is schoool and my side gig is taking as much free school branded shit as i can find on campus (it’s a lot.) (like a lot. very fun past time and you help the people stuck tabling feel a little less bored)

i’m so burnt out this quarter and my students are killing me... i just had a meeting with a student who was unhappy with his paper grade (C-) and thought he deserved more and i explained why he received the grade that he did and his defense was that he misunderstood me in class and didn’t understand what he was supposed to do and i literally was like. yeah misunderstandings happen but you had the prompt, the professor talked about it at length in multiple lectures, i made a six page paper guide for all of you breaking down each question on the prompt and giving guiding questions to tell you exactly what we want to see and providing writing and organization tips, i talked about it across three class sessions and made it clear i was always available via email and in office hours, so there’s really no excuse for not knowing exactly what we wanted. if you would have used the resources available to you then you certainly would have gotten a grade closer to what you wanted. and he was like oh. yeah ok

I wish the MCAT was a paper test instead of on the computer, I just find it so much easier to mark up the passages with a pen and highlighter than with the digital tools.
