it took me nearly 20 years to accept transcendent religious experiences I had been having since I was around 12, largely due to the materialist-dogmatic culture that assumes the material observable world is all there is.
and they use their mind, one of the most profoundly nonphysical experiences we have on a daily basis, to justify that there is nothing else but the material world. Yet the sciences of this physical world, the quantum implications of a conscious observer collapsing probability into measurable matter, betrays the whole rocky foundation that these assumptions rest upon.
Be open to your experiences, trust your intuition. In the end your conscious experience is all you truly have. Don't spend your limited time here engaging belief structures that don't serve you but only make you feel safe in the acceptance of your peers. Do what your heart tells you is your truth. You don't need to justify yourself to anyone but you.
As I’ve gotten into deity worship and have been more open about it with friends the number one response I get is ‘but you don’t really believe in that do you?’
and yes, I do, but if you MUST argue with me about it
I grew up non religious and described myself as agnostic for a long time, and I do still hold truth in that. I think it’s arrogant to say we know for sure whether there is or isn’t some higher powers. But if there’s really just nothing
WHO CARES
it’s fun to believe, it’s motivating, it’s energizing. Even if the gods aren’t ‘real’ in a scientific sense, they are real in my mind.
Even if when I die it’s all been nothing but a placebo effect, that’s okay!!
it’s helped me get by, it’s helped me be happy, and that is enough

currently trying to write a summery of like 20 years worth of transcendent spiritual experiences that I only started accepting in the past 2 years and then actually embracing within the last 6 months. but man. where the fuck do i even start.
i need to write it to hopefully find anyone, anywhere who can relate to these very real experiences i've had because they are a very lonely thing to bear.

i'm being plagued by thoughts of gortash and hands. gortash clicking the golden claws of his gauntlets against the crowded surface of his desk, punctuating every quick thought with a tap and a shift and a sigh. it is how he thinks. gortash, freed of those very gauntlets, digging his fingertips and palms down against tav's hips and back. he kneads when he reaches for them rather than simply touching. there's a desperate edge to the way he grips at their clothes, pulling and coaxing until his fingertips brush warm flesh. gortash wringing out his hands, thumbing over knuckles, cracking them until the stiffness lingering in them from scribework eases. he has few tells after so many years of perfecting his image, but when he grows tired, he buries his thumb into his palms, working the tendons of his aching hands until they are loose again and his mind is clearer. gortash idly lacing his fingers through tav's, gripping onto their hand until he pries a fitful sigh from them. only then does he relent, chuckling low in his throat, lifting their knuckles to his mouth in apology, but he always reaches again, his hold crushing and desperate. because their hands are his hands. their hands belong to him, too.

Well put, yeah, especially the cloth/wire mother thing. I guess I have more of a background in critically considering evidence presented to me that I was able to avoid being scooped into new age belief, but it became morbidly obvious to me how easy it would be to do so had I not had outside insight on the matter.
Acceptance of experience is not void of critical assessment of said experience but it certainly isn't outright rejection of any and all transcendent experiences. We see people in online communities constantly trying to find this thin margin of combined acceptance and skepticism.
Something that I've found in my research of how experiences like mine were received and handled over human history is that the abrupt rejection and skepticism is a fairly recent thing -- in the past, both transcendent experiences and experiences of the mentally ill were treated one in the same and given support from the community in specific roles and jobs within the community. People experiencing these things, either positive or negative, were supported and helped to process these experiences within the structure of their community and belief system.
In contrast, any transcendent experience, either spontaneously or attributed to known mental illness, is condemned as a harmful symptom in modern largely western society, usually portrayed as a failing of the individual. In my personal experience, as both someone who is mentally ill and has had transcendent experiences, regardless of the content of the experiences they will be treated like a harmful deviation from the current model of the healthy norm. In example, communicating with an entity outside yourself that has comforted you and even talked you down from suicide? Psychosis that needs to be medicated. It's not an acceptable experience in modern western understanding of what is normal.
So we see more and more disillusionment with inadequate response from psychiatric care as it fails to understand the context and personal needs of the individual experience. Which, in my opinion, is one of the most pressing issues in america especially, where new age has the strongest foothold, and similarly absorbs individuals who felt misunderstood by institutions who handle delicate matters of the human conscious experience with the same dsm-shaped mallet.
This is a long winded way of saying that I think new age is definitely a strong symptom of a widespread form of western culture-based spiritual and medical neglect, thus why your wire mother analogy was well put.
Hello, your special interest in conspiracy theories might prove insightful for my predicament.
i've been having very strange things happening to me from a young age, and only in the past few years have i begun to accept them and embrace them. however, whenever i try to search for any information about them, i find these new age conspiracy rabbit-holes that as you've made clear are just thinly veiled white supremacist nonsense.
I wonder if transcendent experiences (in my case having direct, regular and positive interaction with a caring nonhuman entity as well as accurate premonitions for largely mundane future events) are not that uncommon but we either push them to the back of our mind and make them out to be wishful thinking or odd quirks of the brain.
That therein I think may be one of the reasons why the new age cult is the monster it is today: a vacuum of explanation and community for the very real and unexplainable experiences people leads them to new age sooner or later. In these rabbit-holes I often found people speaking of very similar experiences to mine but immediately attributing it to explanations provided by this cult, ones that i felt very deep in my gut to be bullshit.
Do you think the apprehension to discuss & believe genuine spiritual experiences for fear of a loss of acceptance by your peers is detrimental to non-new age spiritual communities? I observe that online pagan, witch, etc circles are rife with this apprehension, of either accepting their or others experiences, either actively or passively by adjusting language used to appeal to the assumed skepticism of the audience. New age, on the other hand, appeared to be far more accepting of the reality of these experiences.
A general unwillingness to consider strange and seemingly inexplicable events (spiritual experiences, UFO encounters, etc) without trying to apply a "rational" yet wholly inadequate explanation is absolutely a problem. The people who do this aren't even necessarily trying to be dismissive, but it can still often feel that way.
Meanwhile, New Age and the conspiracysphere in general will usually provide some sort of explanation that at least feels adequate, especially to those who aren't particularly scientifically or historically literate. (Although some people are so desperate that they'll set aside their scientific and historical knowledge.) New Age alien mythology, for example is of course chock full of nonsense, but it's still more validating than "you hallucinated it" or "you just saw a normal aircraft."
That said, I also don't think this is the only problem. People in general are just uncomfortable with not having answers, and don't really understand how having no answer is better than having a bad answer. Furthermore, people often perceive scientists as waffly and ignorant because scientists have a much better understanding of how much they don't know than the average person, and are therefore more hesitant to give firm answers; whereas conspiracy theorists, who are often incredibly ignorant as to how much they just don't understand, will just trumpet their beliefs with absolute certainty, and thus feel more likely to be right.
Overall I'd say there's a big cloth mother/wire mother problem going on, where New Age conspirituality often provides comfort and validation where more critical viewpoints typically do not.
Sometimes, people's egos just get in the way, like the person who has an incredibly vivid experience where they perceive a divine being telling them they're the reincarnation of Jesus Christ, and doesn't want to hear that maybe their experience shouldn't be taken at face value, and maybe they shouldn't go and start a cult over it.
So yeah, I'd say it's a combination of factors, and I think overall it could be helped by everyone coming to terms with not needing to have an answer or a solution to things like this all the time. We don't need to always assume that we already have enough information to adequately explain things like this, and that it's better to not have an answer than to come up with a bad one. And I think it could also be helped by understanding that just because the current "rational" answer is wholly inadequate, doesn't mean that the conspiratorial or spiritual one is any better. And I think we all need to be more aware of people's need for validation and comfort, and do our best to be more compassionate and understanding in general.

OG! Penelope Eckhart Headcanons: Abilities and Magic
Part 3!
As always, I only really write for OG! Penelope instead of Siyeon(our FL), so this is much more conjecture than anything. SPOILERS FOR THE NOVEL.
I imagine that Penelope, throughout the lifetimes she spent trying to fight against Laila, deviated from the original script many, many times. Many of them were to fight against Laila or others where she tried to run away and start a new life.
Of these lifetimes, and of Penelope's unique, hellish existence, her powers developed in a strange manner.
As mentioned in Part 1(Appearances), Penelope uses magic unconsciously to maintain her appearance. This is due to the fact that she takes the most pride in her appearance, and it is her greatest asset.
Abilities
Throughout her many lifetimes, Penelope has learned different life skills or pursued a life of craftsmanship underneath master artisans, trying to find her passion that a household of abuse has stamped out. They've been useful in not only helping to make a name for herself but for her to survive in lifetimes when she left nobility. I'll only list some of the more prominent ones.
Weaving/Embroidery: The latter being a skill of nobility, Penelope lived up to her namesake by learning textiles over several lifetimes, earning her high praise in foreign countries for her vivid tapestries and intricate embroidery scenes. This skill includes tapestry weaving.
Woodworking/Sculpture: A skill of practical craftsmanship and also of the arts. While Penelope never learned stoneworking/masonry, she could theoretically apply these two skills to stoneworking.
Calligraphy/Scribework: That one lifetime she went off to become a scribe at a secluded academy. It helped her be able to examine ancient books and interpret them, as well.
The Ancient Language: Technically, the ancient language is bound by the blood of the Ancient Wizards. Think like in Percy Jackson where the half-bloods' brains are hardwired to read Greek or Latin, and something like that but without the dyslexia. However, Penelope also picked up other ancient, foreign languages during her time as a scribe.
Metalworking/Metal Engraving: Although she was never allowed in the forge(because of how weak she was, unable to lift a hammer), Penelope absorbed a lot of the knowledge from observation, while she worked on intricate detailing and carving in magic spells into delicate artifacts.
Weapon Proficiency: There were several lifetimes when Penelope left to become a mercenary, a soldier, or a knight. In addition to learning the standard Imperial sword forms, she also traveled around a lot and learned from other swordsmen. She favored the use of spears and long daggers, as well as unconventional weapons like thin cables to wrap and restrain opponents.
Swordmastery: As mentioned above, Penelope learned a lot of sword forms and trained extensively. She was eventually certified as a Swordmaster in a few of her lifetimes, earning her acclaim. However, she has never been recognized as one in Eorka.
Her usual weapon of preference is an arming sword(the conventional, straight double-edged European swords) like what Callisto and Derrick carry. Eorkan swords seem to have a knuckle grip, but Derrick's gap is smaller for some reason.
There were a few times she carried an executioner's sword(blunt-tipped sword).
In addition, she's proficient in polearms, specifically spears.
She carries around a few knives underneath her clothing.
Marksmanship: Given her preference of a crossbow in the original text, I believe that Penelope was actually very proficient— it's just that it was confiscated for a while before Siyeon got her hands on it. She's extremely good with a crossbow and a conventional bow.
Equestrianism: I think riding any rideable category of animals counts at this point...? Novel Spoilers but there are flying, mounted troops...? But yes, Penelope learned that both as a hobby and also as a knight.
Herbalism/Apothecarist: A skill of both healing and harm, Penelope uses a vast knowledge of natural plants to both help and to get rid of enemies through poison.
Perfect Memory: Penelope has a semantic, autobiographical, and near-eidetic memory. This means that she can recall general worldly knowledge, knowledge of her own life, and visual memory with extreme detail and clarity.*
Jewel Dealing: One of the jobs Penelope took. She can easily discern gems of exquisite quality, thus allowing her to sell her jewels at better prices.
Ceramics: A skill she also picked up. She uses it in her magic.
*Part 4 elaborates on this.
Magic/Mana
Like in Shrike, I will be calling those of Ancient Wizard heritage "Arcani". They use mana, and do not require the use of staffs and wands to perform feats of power. They use "mana".
Necromancy
The manhwa elaborated that the Ancient Wizards drew power from nature and the Laila from living energies(aka sucking out their life force). Given Penelope's many deaths, I believe her magic would naturally start to skew toward what Laila would use. It was difficult to come to terms with, but Penelope's magic can be categorized as necromancy.
She's much more in tune with the dead and harmful energies left behind after death, like resentment, hate, and despair. In the first few lifetimes when this connection solidified, she was branded as an insane, raving woman from all the negative energies assaulting her mind.
Eventually, she managed to turn it into an empathetic path, where she would help the spirits pass on properly.
She can also summon spirits! Her powers are very much focused on death and lingering spirits. Penelope often has a small retinue of spirits following her around, deciding to serve as her companions.
While she can theoretically control any spirit, Arcani spirits are drawn to her, since Penelope is the last Arcani alive, and thus they gather under her command.
While usually manifesting as shadowy blobs or small glowing creatures(usually aquatic, or butterflies), stronger spirits can take on more humanoid forms.
I'm not borrowing from Roxana here, it's just butterflies are used as symbols of the cycle of life and death, metamorphosis, and the soul. Soul butterflies are translucent like glass and glow the slightest.
As for humanoid forms, they usually take on the image of masked individuals. Some have normal human faces, while others still have shadowy visages, and wear masks or veils. In these forms, they usually have some sort of magenta/bright pink incorporated in them, like their eye colors or in clothing accents.
Some of them are sometimes sculpted prosthetics or doll bodies by Penelope.
Usually, they are only visible to Penelope, but they can be made to be visible to others as well.
Flora/Poison
Penelope's first breakthroughs of her magic were during the torture happening in the latter part of each time loop(when Laila's , and so her magic is aimed at causing pain, unconsciously, to keep someone alive enough to suffer without fading away in death.
In the vein of "causing pain" magic, one of Penelope's preferred methods include summoning thorny vines or flowers to strangle, restrain, or otherwise incapacitate her opponents.
Penelope loves flowers, and constantly summons them to enjoy their scent and appearance. Because of this, she has a sweet, floral scent.
In addition, she practices mithridatism(building up immunity to poison by taking it). It's a bit useless since her tolerance resets when she dies, but it's been a habit that Penelope had since she was 16, so she's still a bit poison-tolerant. It has saved her life a few times, though, along with her iron stomach. This has allowed her to use poison in conjunction with her magic.
If you've read Roxana, you may remember that in Season 2, Roxana is able to incapacitate and even kill someone with her touch because of how poison-saturated her body is. Penelope has been working towards this state for many time loops, succeeding only in the latter stages where she consumed poison like she was starving.
I mention this because Penelope uses blood magic, as well, the poison making its attack prowess much more effective.
She wraps her body in a thin layer of magic to be able to interact with people normally, though not many initiate physical contact in the first place.
Eventually, she is able to control whether or not poison exudes from her skin, but it was a difficult process.
Weaving
Penelope manifests thin yet strong strings of mana to ensnare and trap her victims in combat.
In addition, she can weave together elaborate illusions using elements like water and fire, or just from mana to confuse others.
Weaving can also be literal: Penelope works magic spells such as protection into fabric and garments and imbues the threads with mana to strengthen them.
She can also use mana ribbons and change their solidity to act as blades.
Penelope usually summons three spear-like weapons to float behind her, which she can control without touching to attack. These can even turn into the aforementioned mana ribbons. For reference, refer to Honkai Impact 3rd's Herrscher of the Void and her Subspace Lances, which were the major inspiration here.
Subspace/Pocket Dimension
To be further elaborated on in the next post, but as you may have seen in Shrike, Penelope has the Eternal Ataraxia. It was essentially a spatial prison to entrap her soul for her ancestors.
I feel like, at some point, Penelope would either crack her way into one of the subspaces or find a way to make it happen after literal centuries of studying the Mirror of Truth.
Most of what I can say is going to be elaborated in Part 4, anyways.
Unlike in the Eternal Ataraxia, the usual Subspace is a barren land, if there is even any.

✶ · ⊰ pandreo || verses : three houses ⊱ · ✶ ⤷ contains : basics, history, misc. notes, phases, solo endings, & supports (continued under the read-more) . I. BASICS .
Age : 15 - 16 (Academy Phase); 21 (War Phase) Birth date : 6th of the Guardian Moon (January 6th) Birth place : Viscounty of Nilsson, Leicester Alliance Affiliation : Church of Seiros Default route : Silver Snow Recruitable routes : All Class progression : Commoner → Monk → Priest → Bishop
II. HISTORY .
· Pandreo was born to clergy members of the Eastern church and was raised alongside other members children and the orphans the church would take in. Around two years later, Panette was born. · When Panette was six, she ran away. In the year that followed, their parents searched for her, though it was mostly a ruse to show they cared about their children when they didn't. Eventually, they stopped searching and abandoned Pandreo and the church shortly after. Many years later, it was found out that Panette had been taken in by a minor noble, yet no one knew what happened to their parents. Some people think they disappeared to another country and changed their names. · Even though it was suspected before the birth of their children, it didn't become blatantly apparent that Pandreo's parents were corrupt until roughly a year after his sister was born. They often used their position within the church to swindle people out of their money with promises of making their lives better, as well as trying to send orphaned children to minor nobles or even to Almyra for a price. There dad was also a well-known drunk and gambling man. · Pandreo was taken in by another clergyman of the church, informally adopted. From there, he was taught to read and write, primarily scripture. Aside from the man who raised him, he was inspired to keep going after hearing heroic tales of the goddess and the saints. · Even though the Leicester Alliance isn't the most traditional, including the Eastern church, Pandreo was still judged for trying to make service fun for everyone. He was often called disrespectful by his peers, especially when he picked up the habit of howling. Often, the elder members of the church would skip out on his dinners and potlucks, but the younger ones always attended. Despite the judgment, the small get-togethers he put together always brought in new members and a fair bit of coin. · Years later, at age fifteen, Pandreo was sent to Garreg Mach with the hopes he could become a member of the Central church in order to garner favor for the Leicester Alliance, whether that be through becoming a knight or continuing his clergy work. Instead of attending the Officer's Academy like most would, however, he became a member of the staff, often relegated to cleaning and scribework to slowly work his way up the ranks.
III. MISC. NOTES .
Strengths : Faith, Reason Weaknesses : Axe, Flying, Heavy Armor Hidden talents : Lance, Riding Favorite tea : Almond blend, honeyed-fruit blend, four-spice blend Notable hangout spots : Cathedral, dining hall, fishing pond, greenhouse—may be found elsewhere, but most often in these areas Lost items : Annotated book of scripture, ceremonial beaded necklace, list of party supplies Favorite gifts : Board game, goddess statuette, owl feather, tasty baked treat Least favorite gifts : Hunting dagger, training weight, whetstone Favorite dishes : Cheesy verona stew, Daphnel stew, Derdriu-style fried pheasant, fish and bean soup, fish sandwich, fruit and herring tart, Gautier cheese gratin, peach sorbet, onion gratin soup, saghert and cream, sautéed pheasant and eggs, sweet and salty whitefish sauté, super-spicy fish dango, sweet bun trio Least favorite dishes : Country-style red turnip plate, fried crayfish, pickled rabbit skewers, pickled seafood and vegetables, spicy fish and turnip stew Other : · Like Rhajat in Fates, who knew she'd be reborn as Tharja in another universe, Pandreo's aware that he'll be reborn in Elyos. Even if there's no proper in-game way for this to happen, his level of awareness is route-dependant. In Silver Snow, it's eerily accurate, with remembering names and events, as well as who he'll see there someday. In Crimson Flower and Verdant Wind, things are blurry and much more dream-like. The only person he can recall with certainty is Byleth. In Azure Moon, however, he has absolutely zero awareness of his reincarnation. · Despite being a staff member, his age makes it easy for him to become friends with the students. His party-going ways are definitely amplified away from the Eastern church, which can get him into a fair bit of trouble with some of the other staff. His parties are typically held in the nearby forest as bonfire events, but they can sometimes take place in the dorms. · If Byleth decides to teach the Golden Deer, then Pandreo is immediately recruitable. For the other two houses, Byleth needs at least a C in either Faith or Reason and decent stats in Magic.
IV. PHASES .
White Clouds : Like Cyril, he can be seen working around the monastery. Even if he's recruited into a house, he still works on top of his classes. Being a student gives him some extra credit with the likes of Seteth and some of the higher ranking clergy, at least. Silver Snow (default) : Since he's a staff member, he's instantly recruited once the War Phase starts. During Byleth's five years of absence, Pandreo provided aid in the search for Rhea and kept vigilant watch over the decaying monastery. His personality doesn't change much, even if he expresses regrets on fighting against former students, especially the Black Eagles. He may make comments in secret about how he wonders if Edelgard was doing the right thing if he had been a part of the Black Eagles house before the war. Azure Moon : Despite the friends he made while being recruited into the Blue Lions, he admits he's not well-versed in the ways of Faerghus. He's not there out of any loyalty to Dimitri or the Kingdom, but instead due to his confidence in Byleth's abilities and because of the church's connect to Faerghus. While he does show concern for Dimitri, Pandreo often bites his tongue when it comes to everyone's dedication to getting him on the throne in such a poor state. His personality may seem a little more withdrawn in this route. Crimson Flower : His confidence in Byleth far outweighed his devotion to the church, with the help of Rhea's desire for violence. Even though he doesn't necessarily regret siding with Edelgard, like several other recruitable students (like Hapi, for example), Pandreo will express that he's not entirely onboard with the way Edelgard is handling things and that he's really only there for Byleth. His penitence for having to kill others is more apparent in this path, yet at the same time, he's more ruthless in battle. Verdant Wind : Since the Leicester Alliance is where he was born, he has no issues siding with Claude, especially since the church is still in play anyway. Claude is seemingly the only ruler he has no issue with, as a lot of their ideals and ways of handling them align. He seems just a little more carefree down this route, even for his usual self.
V. SOLO ENDINGS .
Crimson Flower : After the war, Pandreo's views changed, leaving him questioning his faith and wondering about the likes of others. After he helped defeat those who slither in the dark, he left Fódlan to travel the world. He spent his time learning of the various cultures and religions that were previously closed off from Fódlan, and when he returned, he devoted himself to creating a church that was open to all belief systems and became a well-respected scholar of theology. Other routes : Despite initial backlash, Pandreo was able to inject some of his fun-loving ways into the church. This push eventually led to the Church of Seiros developing a less strict, more welcoming aura, and they garnered many new followers over the years. Some history books state that churchgoers wanted Pandreo to become a canonized saint, but that never happened... Except for in the east. (The only difference between routes is that Pandreo focuses on the Central church in AM and SS, while heading back to the Eastern church in VW after several years.)
VI. SUPPORTS . ⤷ For funsies. This isn't a ship bias list or a wishlist, it's simply who I think he'd speak with if he was a playable character in 3H. I thought of putting my ideas for support chains, but that would've made the post longer than it needed to be.
Church of Seiros : Alois, Flayn, Manuela, Seteth Black Eagles : Bernadetta, Dorothea Blue Lions : Mercedes, Sylvain Golden Deer : Claude, Ignatz, Lorenz, Lysithea, Marianne Ashen Wolves : Balthus + Byleth * romantic-only pairings : 0 * platonic-only pairings : 5 * can be taken either way : 4 · Can only reach B support with Manuela, Seteth, Bernadetta, Sylvain, Lorenz, and Lysithea.

Pray, elucidate unto me thine belligerancy once more, youth... Erstwhile, while thou hast frittered thine days away in indolence, mine own excellence hath soared higher than the peaks of Sohm Ahl, nay, to the very vaults of the heavens themselves! From the collegiate of Baldesion, to the deepest reaches of Garlemald, fifteen-score men have I lain low, with the grace and skill of chirurgeons of legend, and all the rancor of the Primals and their beastmen subjugate.Thou art yet but one more fetid soul to rend unto Oblivion. Verily, the wrath I have yet to bear upon thine personage will be found even within the tomestones of ancient Allag, so great will thine suffrance be of mine ire, that even time itself will disobey its casual flow and rescribe history forthwith; Hearken to me, cur.Thine words reach mine ears and they resolve into naught but coyness, replete of filth and ignorance. Thine puissant scribework, as grotesque as an unmasked Goblin. Pray, and speak true, dost thou truly believe thineself equal to mine own personage? Nay. Ere long, mine compatriots shall away and arrive anon to thine dwelling, fire and fury in their breasts, stell bared, and cantrip upon the ready. Thou'rt doomed, wastrel; even The Mothercrystal weeps for what shall befall thee. Nay, not even the Twelve themselves shall shelter thee from mine ardor, and even the Ascians will decry my cruelty whenceforth issued. Such will be mine wrath, that it shall bring about the true Eighth Umbral Calamity. Thy glibness hath only wrought ire and fury, and not even the Warrior of Light will be able to save you from mine. For I hath drawn forth the cards of eld, and thine fortunes spelt plain. Thou'rt fucked, churl. (idk who originally wrote this i just recorded it for a friend)

"Excuse me sir, are you hiring any magical scribes? My former lord and master was executed by ruffians seeking flame."
“I have a grueling interview process, and I don’t imagine your idea of scribework will be the same as my own, but perhaps I could find use for someone of your claimed talents in my organization.”
“Tell me, were you more of a librarian or a stenographer? Did your tasks involve translation, sorting, or asset acquisition? Finally, how quick a learner are you?”
“If these answers aren’t to my liking then you will answer a final question for me, but I’ll save it till then.”

Woman from the Heavens Pt 6 (Hakuno, BB, Gilgamesh, Ishtar)
She couldn’t breathe.
The first attack threw Gilgamesh back. She could see the crack in the world expanding, growing slowly more and more into this world. The scribework, as the people had described it, was spreading out. It was destroying the city.
It wasn’t an isolated thing.
It wasn’t something they could contain.
“Hmm?”
The woman was moving closer.
BB.
“What’s this?” The woman was looking around, raising her hands and waving her wand a bit. “To think that you would be thrown here to that servant of yours’ time… You must be so bored!”
She was laughing, glancing back to the king nearby.
“Get away from her…”
“He’s still protective too.” BB laughed, patting her legs. “You don’t know a thing about the woman you’ve adopted into your time.”
She grabbed one of the swords from the smithy nearby, running forward and launching an attack at the woman. The moment she grew too close, the woman was grabbing her, yanking her in.
“Welcome ba-“
Gilgamesh was slamming into her, knocking them both down. Hakuno turned, trying to strike with the weapon in hand.
The blade snapped.
Fear, cold and thick, ran through her veins a moment as she saw the woman coming close. She could feel the other’s breath against her face. She was so close. So very-
The woman they were fighting threw them both back, raising the binary code around them.
“WHAT IN MY FATHER’S NAME IS THIS?!”
Gilgamesh was pulling her in close. Hakuno could feel a warmth spreading around her waist, but she wrapped her robes around herself a little more.
“Ishtar…”
Hakuno felt her eyes fly open at the name. Her eyes drifted upwards, to the king a moment before she followed his gaze.
“What have you done to my people? My city?” The brunette moved before them, her bow floating in the air before her. The woman looked over to BB, glaring at her.
“…Tohsaka?”
The brunette laughed. “You come to my people, you set aflame my land, and you dare to call me by a name other than my own… Do you not know of the goddess of love and war? The goddess who makes all things worthy of life?”
“Gods aren’t real. There is only the Moon Cell!”
Hakuno could feel Gilgamesh pushing her back.
His Ea was set into her hands. Ea. She stared at the weapon, stunned as the king stood up and pulled another weapon from his treasury. He moved to Ishtar’s side, slamming the blades together and preparing his bow.
“King.”
“I do believe this invader desires death for insulting the patron goddess of Uruk.”
Ishtar glanced his way, grinning proudly.
“Lead on, King Gilgamesh. I trust you’ll make this a worthy fight. This fake god needs to learn what real divinity looks like.”

I had an idea for a FanClan but didn't know what to name it and the Applepaw Discord bot generated RainClan so that's their name.
The following form blank was made by @fan-clan-fun so like yeah.
Formation: Rain was a rogue living in the Forestlands of old, and hated seeing cats dying from starvation or Twoleg Treecutters. So he formed a small group of cats, inspired by the Clans of Lightning, Gale, Shade, Torrent and Beyond, taking them to the Rainy Forest.
Rivals: Not long after Rain's small group left the Forestlands of old, an event that is now called the Rain of Fire took place. The once lush forest burned, and was only stopped when the sky's tears rained down. That area is now known as the Roguelands, or the Rogue Badlands, and while they generally stay in their own territory, they occasionally stray into RainClan's territory.
Shaping Events: On the day the Rain of Fire took place, the leader of the elders tells of the fire that Firestorm brought and the rain that their ancestors brought. Very few tales of the Clan's founding are told, and there's more told of the Clans of old. The loyal and brave Clan of Lightning, the water-loving Clan of Torrent, the fox-like Clan of Shade, the feisty and fast Clan of Gale, and the long-legged once lost Clan of Beyond.
Age: RainClan is quite old, but not to the extent that no cats remember Rainstar and Stormstar, the first two leaders of the Clan.
Heroes and Villains: The selfless founder of RainClan is honored by the currently living cats, and the kits of the Clan strive to be like him. On the opposite side of the spectrum, Firestorm, the cat who allegedly started the Rain of Fire, is despised by all for ruining the lush Forestlands of old.

The Clan of Far Above: RainClan's ancestors are known as the Clan of Far Above. Named by their first medicine cat Nettleshimmer, they're much like StarClan. In fact, they can easily contact StarClan.
Influence: The Clan of Far Above is represented in the living world by five trees, one for each of the Clans of old. One of them is an ash tree, with a scent of fire and lightning, representing the Clan of Lightning, and Leafheart, Rainstar's mate and a direct Clan of Lightning descendent. It is known as the Tree of Lightning. Another is a willow tree, with wet bark, planted in water. It represents the Clan of Torrent, and both Stormstar and Rainstar, who are descended from the Clan. It is known as the Tree of Torrent. The tulip tree blows in even the lightest of breezes, representing the Clan of Gale and Breezescratch, a noble scribe and direct descendent of the aforementioned Clan. The Tree of Gale, it is called. In the shade grows the Tree of Shade, a hoptree which represents both the Clan it is named after and Darkthistle, another noble scribe and descendant of this Clan. Lastly is the tallest of them, the Tree of the Beyond, a tall redwood tree. Representing both the forgotten Clan and Cloudfeather, a descendant of the Clan. When a cat comes here, if they need the Clan of Far Above, they will appear directly, although they also visit dreams. Leaders get their five lives here, one from each tree. Along with this, the medicine cat comes here once every moon.
Worship: Much like with the Clans of old in the forest territories, every apprentice visits the trees at least once. Any cat can visit them, as long as they have permission from the divine protector.
Afterlife: In the Clan of Far Above, you appear as the age you were happiest. Kits and apprentices get a warrior name and can appear as adults if they so please. Each rank has dens, and there's also hunting grounds.
Holidays: The holidays are planned by the divine protector (the medicine cats' leader) and kept by them as well. The scribe keeps track of the dates on a calendar of sorts, and they and the divine protector keep track of this. Birthdays of important cats are marked down, as being the ___th day of the ___th moon of the season.
Leadership: The main leader is much like in the groups, however each rank aside from kits has a leader, usually the eldest. The elder leader is known as the advisor, giving advice to the leader with their knowledge. The queen leader is known as the mother, and often helps other queens with their kits. She's basically like Daisy. The warrior leader is usually the deputy, although there's occasionally another cat. They are known as the head warrior, and are usually the head hancho during battles. The apprentice leader is known as the apprentice mentor and is usually the first to get an apprentice when they become warrior. They remind apprentices of their duties, and remind mentors to train their apprentices.
Deputy: Deputies are basically the same as in the canon Clans. They are second in command, and often have meetings with the rank leaders.
Medicine cat: Medicine cats are much like in the Clans of old. In RainClan, they're in charge of celebrations - excluding ceremonies, which the leader is in charge of - and often help the scribes out. The divine protector is in charge of planning the celebrations, while the other medicine cats just decorate and make preparations.
Elders: Cats generally become elders when they're around sixty moons old. The advisor advises the leader on what to do when they need help. Kits often love hearing their stories, although some do not. On the Day of the Rain of Fire, the advisor tells the tale of the Rain of Fire.
Warriors: Warriors are basically just like their canon equivalent, but like the Tribe of Rushing Water, are split into groups. The hunters, as their name suggests, hunt for the Clan. Guards guard the camp at night and often go on patrols. Medical assistants help the medicine cats find herbs, and help if, for example, a medicine cat dies in the middle of their apprentice's training and there's no more medicine cats aside from them. Then they'd help with their training. And switches switch between some or all of these roles. The leader of this rank is the head warrior, who is the head hancho in battle and usually close to retiring, or was a secondary or tertiary choice for the deputy position.
Queens: Kits are either the cats who are expecting or nursing kits, or are nursery helpers. Toms take on this position sometimes if their mate is done nursing their kits and is okay with helping in the nursery. However, their leader of the mother is always a she-cat, and it is the leadership position that changes the most.
Apprentices: Cats are usually apprenticed at anywhere from six to eight moons, although sometimes later due to medical conditions or the leader forgetting. The apprentice mentor usually reminds them of this, and does the same for apprentices about their duties and mentors about their training. This is also when cats are split into their ranks, but they get to choose and pick whichever one they wish to be when they become a warrior.
Kits: Kits are often cared for by more cats than just the nursery dwellers. Their kin helps often times, giving gifts, and medicine cats always give new mothers and their kits presents, usually fresh-kill, herbs or flowers/feathers. Aside from deputies, they're the only rank with no leader.
Scribes: Scribes make a map of the territory with various dyes made from flowers and other stuff, and carved from their claws. They also keep track of births, holidays and other such stuff. There can be up to two scribes at once.
Code of Conduct: The Code of the Clan of Rain is similar to the warrior code, sans the other Clan related rules. However, medicine cats can have kits if they have an apprentice, unless they're the divine protector.
Mates: There is a ceremony especially for cats who decide they want to be together forever.
Leader: "Cats of RainClan, we gather here today to unite these cats. (First cat) is a (trait) (rank), and (second cat) is a (trait) (rank). Now, (first cat), do you vow to love your mate through thick and thin, light and dark, sun and rain?"
First cat (the oldest usually): "I do."
Leader: "And (second cat), do you vow to love (first cat) through thick and thin, light and dark, sun and rain?"
Second cat (youngest): "I do."
(The youngest med. cat brings a rock over from the River of Forever, and the mates both mark it with their claws and whatever items they wish (flowers, feathers, etc), before the med. cat brings it to the River of Forever, where it sits at the end)
If the cats wish to break up, they retrieve the stone and remove the markings. It is a slow and painful process, like break ups in and of themselves.
Ceremonies: The ceremonies are the same, so let's go over the scribe and rank leader ceremonies.
Scribe Ceremony:
Scribe: "Cats of the Clan of Far Above, I bring you my apprentice, (name). He/she/they has learned all that a scribe should, and has made much scribework that will last for seasons to come. (Name), with approval from the Clan of Far Above, from this moment onwards, you shall be known as (new name). The Clan of Far Above honors your (trait) and (trait) and we welcome you as RainClan's newest scribe."
Divine Protector Ceremony:
Leader: "(Name), you have finished your training, and the Clan of Far Above believes that you are the perfect choice to be the Clan's new divine protector. Do you understand the responsibility this position requires, the effort that must be put into it, and that you shalln't be allowed to bare kits?"
Med. cat: "I do."
Leader: "Very well. You are now the divine protector of RainClan."
(Either the youngest or oldest scribe, depending, brings over a necklace with a star like charm on the bottom)
Head Warrior Ceremony:
Leader: "(Name), you have served your Clan well over your many season-cycles of life, and I think you are the optimal choice for head warrior. Do you agree with this position, and if not, who should be the head warrior?"
Warrior: "I do." OR "I don't, and I believe (name) should be the head warrior."
Leader: "From this moment onwards, (name) shall be the head warrior of RainClan!"
(The youngest or oldest scribe brings over a necklace with the claw of the last head warrior tied on the end)
Apprentice Mentor Ceremony:
Leader: "This apprentice's mentor tells me he/she/they has/have done well, and thus I believe this makes them the perfect choice for apprentice mentor! (Name), until you become a warrior, you shall be the apprentice mentor of the Clan. You will be my top choice for head warrior."
The Mother Ceremony:
Leader: "Cats of the Clan of Far Above, this queen has shown herself/themselves to be a caring queen, and I believe that makes them the optimal choice to be the mother of RainClan. With your approval, they shall be given this carnation necklace made especially by our scribe (scribe name)."
(The Clan of Far Above speaks their approval (literally everytime, they never reject a mother))
Leader: "(Name), until you wish to step down from the position, you shall be RainClan's mother."
(The scribe gives the mother the necklace)
The Advisor Ceremony:
Leader: "(Name), you served our Clan for many seasons, and have been a great elder. If you nor the Clan of Far Above objects, then you shall be the Clan advisor."
(If there are no objections, the advisor is given a necklace with a single glittery gem on it)
Naming: Due to medicine cats giving newborn kits gifts, they are often named after them. The medicine cat Cloverlight was given a clover by Seedflower, and thus was named Cloverkit. But it should be noted that Lightning- and Thunder-, Torrent-, Gale- and Shade- are forbidden prefixes. Rain- and Fire- are also rare, but more common then the Clans of old's prefixes.
RainClan © Puppy, don't steal it, I worked like all day on it.

Tumblr media
Greetings. I am Ghost (32, he/him, FTM, autistic, asexual, traumagenic plural) and I am a practitioner of reformist Kemeticism.
Endogenics, otherkin, therian, fictive, and general alternative experience of consciousness welcome.
Tumblr media
TL;DR of Blog Content:
Serious and genuine personal religious and spiritual experience documentation and analysis, as well as personal experiences with gods and nonhuman entities.
Journaling about personal recovery from severe trauma and related ailments.
Fishposting, about aquariums and related content.
Hymns, Prayers and rituals I perform, and general personal piety.
Discussions of plurality
Content warning for: Vulture Culture, mentions of trauma, mentions of animal death (very common in fishkeeping), artistic nudity, mentions of drug use (cannabis, psybicilin, ketamine -- all for therapeutic medicinal purposes. ketamine therapy is medically supervised.)
What you will NOT see on this blog:
Political content and discourse.
Sexual content
Violent content
Ancient aliens and other weird conspiracy shit.
DNI:
I do not have a DNI; all are allowed to follow as I extend you the good faith of following the laws of Ma'at. I do not judge your character preemptively, but will block as needed if it comes to such. I am pro-blocking and will not take it personally if you block or soft block me to remove a follow.
Tumblr media
I venerate multiple gods, with my primary focus on Sobek. I work with aquariums and plants, as well as assist my commune with the production of food. My primary interests are freshwater ecology and anthropology.
I will be upfront about this to avoid confusion and/or interaction with conflicting traits: I genuinely believe in reincarnation, the afterlife, the existence of gods and nonhuman entities, and the existence of the phenomenon of Psi. This is not a roleplay for me, and I will be sharing my genuine religious and spiritual experiences on this blog. If you are someone who has had genuine experiences that go against western understandings of the known laws of the physical universe, you are believed.
That being said, I am pro-recovery for trauma, personality disorders, etc, and will openly talk about my own recovery from trauma and my own maladaptive or abusive coping habits developed from said trauma. My experience of personal healing and growth is inseparable from my religious experiences.
My political beliefs are strongly leftist and strongly anti-fascist, but you will not see this discussed much if at all on this blog.
