Match Review: Manchester United 2-0 Everton

Imagine being shitter than this disjointed United side. Well, you don't have to, because Everton are those guys.

The upsides: Garnacho looks electric on the attack, Rashford and Bruno were solid, Kobbie Mainoo, and JONNY FUCKING EVANS. Oh, and Andre Onana is now joint-second for clean sheets and had another solid game. Did I mention Garnacho?

The downsides: United can't hold possession or string a series of passes together due to fear, lethargy, laziness, and a lack of intelligence. Also, Casemiro. Fuck me he was poor.

It was such a dull game, even when United slowed the tempo down in the second half to bore Everton to death. A shit Sean Dyche side had 23 shots. Only 6 were on target, which says everything about Everton, but TWENTY THREE SHOTS. What the fuck.

Scholesy sums it up best here on Instagram. Erik Ten Hag DOES have a philosophy. You don't build 2 champion Ajax sides with no grasp of tactics and squad composition. The fact United can't play a style that resembles anything the gaffer would instruct people to play shows how much of a mess the squad is; riddled with injuries, self-doubt, and a lack of intelligence.

Me: Potter is wearing a black sweater under a blue blazer. That's weird. Brother: I’m surprised he doesn’t just wear like khakis and a random Gap t-shirt. He’s basically a nondescript person. Me: I mean, this outfit is pretty nondescript. He looks like he's a museum guard. It just bothers me that he's wearing a black sweater with a blue suit. Brother: It bothers me he is the manager of Chelsea so I think the outfit is working to confuse people into hating him less. Me: I don't hate him, but I just feel sad and angry about Tuchel being sacked and that's not going to go away. I wish Potter well, but he's following a successful, incredibly charismatic dude who loved us. Honestly, the best thing he can do right now is just keep his head down and get on with it. So I guess that outfit is fine for that, except don't wear blue and black together. With my luck, he'll Sean Dyche it and now wear that outfit all the time.
