؟ (Shayan to uncle Thoma! <3)
ABOUT: Shayan // @sakurarisen
" You haven't lived until you've seen just how excited Shayan gets over little birds! Sera says his absolute favorites are chickens for some reason, but he once got a glance at the crows that sometimes fly down to the Kamisato Estate from the Grand Narukami Shrine while he was staying here and let me tell you, he was ecstatic! "
" It was kinda cute though! I told him that the crows from Mt. Yougou like it best when you give them 'offerings' of sunflower seeds and leftover onigiri, handed him some, and he spent the rest of the afternoon trying to 'earn the cro-cro's favor'. Easiest day spent babysitting for Sera ever! "

So with everything starting to even out again and feeling better after all the heartache and illnesses, I've spent a little time updating my verses page, which was kiiiindda really overdue on my list of things to get done. XD So I've gone and gotten to the following:
The YGO Vrains and FFX verses have been removed. It's possible they'll come back in the future, but for the time being, there's nothing going on with these, haven't for a long time, and it's unlikely they'd see anything for a while yet - But if they do start getting interest in them again, I'll happily add them back it! It just won't be anytime soon. <3
In the place of the previously mentioned verses are Feather Flurry, a verse for/set in Honkai: Star Rail, and Halcyon Era, a fully original verse set several thousand years ago that explores the original story of the phoenixes - Sera's original life, where she's known as Aria, the Snow Phoenix. These are currently temporary entries and will be rewritten and/or added to in the future, as things get plotted, written, and worked out better~
FFX has been removed from the divergences page, and replaced with an HSR entry - Which is currently listed as 'to be added' due to the fact nothing has been solidified completely just yet, nor written up yet. <3
Verses have been reordered! I've also noted in the 'table of contents' in the sidebar on that page what each verse is for an idea of which is which without having to go randomly clicking through them if you're only interested in checking out one specific verse entry!
'Phoenix Lore' has been changed to Halcyon Lore; the two are the same, but the overall 'Phoenix Lore' now falls under the title of Halcyon, which has become the title for the phoenix story itself. Halcyon refers to every aspect of the phoenix story overall, including the verse Halcyon Era.
It's not much, really, but it was pretty overdue considering I haven't used the removed verses in forever, if at all in the case of FFX, for a bunch of reasons. There's still further editing to be done - I need adjust things on my other blogs and on Sera's carrd - but for now, this is a start to getting things even further tidied! <3
~Pom
#Out Of Poms [OOC]#Updating Pom.EXE [Blog Update]#I'm still overall in a fairly poor headspace but? To be fair I knew WHEN the loss would happen so I had more time to prepare than with Gus#So it's hitting hard but not as hard as last time - If that makes ANY sense#But I really need to get back into doing things or I'm never gonna start feeling better the way I need to be?#So this was where I started <3#I'm still playing Rebirth though (I KNOW I'M SLOW XD) so the edits to that are gonna come soon-ish#On chapter 8 - Nearing 9 I think?#And that was the major point I wanted to get to before doing major edits to anything#I'm pretty sure I know where to go with things by now#I just want to get to Gongaga before I make any major changes to Sera and Shayan's FF canon#Kasa and I have been talking a good bit about where to go with our blogs regarding that so <3

Ijust saw that some of the ask meme things i sent have been answered in the past in your nell tag so im sending different Unique Questions...
Does nell have any reoccuring villains that he has to deal with?
What was her motivation/reason or call to action for becoming a superhero?
Is nell aware of the weirder cosmic and magic parts of the DC universe?
I hope you know that seeing you descend on my cb and nell tags like a voracious swarm of locusts actually made me feel pure happiness today and then this was just the cherry on top
nell's main recurring villain is my friend shayan's oc MOSQUITO MAN who is a bum loser with no powers named tyler goodman. he got a bit squished by the bug once when ted was fighting some villain or another and was in a coma for a while (6 months? idr) and vowed revenge but by the time he was out of hospital and ready to strike back he found out that the blue beetle was already dead... so he just bothers nell instead. he's got some annoying tricks up his sleeve such as his innovative Itch Spray but he's not really very threatening... mostly just a bit pathetic
her call to action came about when she was interning at kord industries and discovered (completely accidentally) that her weirdo boss used to be a superhero. out of the kindness of her heart she brought this information to him, mostly in the interests of saying Hey dude i dont actually gaf but you should maybe work on your opsec if i could figure this out. and after some misunderstandings where ted thought she was threatening him, she ended up being one of the few civilians who were in on his secret identity. ted was retired at the time but he dipped back in and out of the game over the following years despite the advice of friends like nell & barbara... ted saw a bit of himself in nell and offered to teach her the ropes, which she accepted on the condition that she emphatically did not want to be the next blue beetle. she's very independent that way LOL but really there wasn't a specific Event that precipitated her becoming ladybug, more just that she's got a drive to do big things and make the world better & she tends to think that she knows how to do that. having ted as a mentor was a good foot in the door though
it's kind of hard to be an active superhero and not be aware of the more magical stuff going on in the world but it's not really the kind of stuff he deals with in his day-to-day... he isn't like hardline atheist magic-denial or anything but it does stress him out to not understand the parameters of a situation & being out of his depth and having to ask for help is something he finds deeply embarrassing... so he doesn't engage with it much on principle. he also doesn't like space cuz the feeling of zero gravity makes him feel nauseous
thank you for liking my bug my heart grew three sizes i love you

Why did you pick up your muses? Wrong answers only + goes for any or as many muses as you want
I picked up Jax because I needed someone mentally sane and kind who I could RP, who would be so utterly loved and have so many friendships with so many people! I've never roleplayed someone kind before so it felt fitting.
Kane was a choice because I wanted someone evil and strong who would be so tough and a real threat to others. ((LMAO for real though, remember how he was SUPPOSED TO BE?! AHHHAHHA!!! Fuck. Ok, maybe this one is a true answer but still. HAH.))
Shayan, as my first muse, I picked because obviously I wanted to get into the Pokémon fandom and have a nice, pleasant character who would, like Jax, get along with everybody and just be a kind, decent person who people could have fun on their muses with! Like playdates, going shopping, battling for fun and not to the death, getting ice cream on a sunny day and dress shopping, all that good stuff.
I needed Vance because I didn't have enough edgy shit going on in my characters and their lives.
I just really fuckin' hate Bannai as the worst character ever so idk why I picked him up. Also he's so edgy, which I needed.

@poisonedrocket // Staring...
Staring for a few moments longer, Shayan finally shows signs of life by simply tilting her head to one side a slight, the cold, observational glare shifting from Arsenio and instead to the actual instruments he cleans.
"What y'got there, eh?" She suddenly questions with a snappy tone, though it isn't with any real negative meaning, it simply being how she talks at times. "Doin' some cleanin'? Maintenance? Looks borin'."

Years ago, when people still used Boolean search and I was a cub reporter, I worked with photographer Nick Ut at the Associated Press. It felt like being in the presence of one of the Greats, even though he never acted like it. We drank the same office coffee, even as I was barely out of journalism school and he had a Pulitzer Prize that was nearly three decades old. Ut, if you don’t recognize the name, took the photo of “Napalm Girl”—Kim Phuc, whom Ut captured in 1973, at 9 years old, running from a bombing in Vietnam.
Lots of people know that photo. It’s one of the most searing images to come out of the Vietnam War—one that shifted attitudes about the conflict. Ut himself wrote many years later that he knew a single photo could change the world. “I know, because I took one that did.”
Hundreds of photos have come out of the Israel-Hamas war since it began more than seven months ago. Bombed out buildings, mass funerals, damaged hospitals, more injured children. But, as of this week, there’s one that’s garnered more attention than most: “All eyes on Rafah.”
The image features what appears to be an AI-generated landscape in which a series of refugee tents spells out the image’s title phrase. The exact origins of the image are murky, but as of this writing it’s reportedly been shared more than 47 million times on Instagram, with many of those shares coming in the 48 hours after an Israeli strike killed 45 people in a camp for displaced Palestinians, according to the Gaza Health Ministry. The image was also shared widely on TikTok and X, where a pro-Palestine account’s post featuring the image has been viewed nearly 10 million times.
As “All eyes on Rafah” circulated, Shayan Sardarizadeh, a journalist with BBC Verify, posted on X that it “has now become the most viral AI-generated image I’ve ever seen.” Ironic, then, that all those eyes on Rafah aren’t really seeing Rafah at all.
Establishing AI’s role in the act of news-spreading got fraught quickly. Meta, as NBC News pointed out this week, has made efforts to restrict political content on its platforms even as Instagram has become a “crucial outlet for Palestinian journalists.” The result is that actual footage from Rafah may be restricted as “graphic or violent content” while an AI image of tents can spread far and wide. People may want to see what’s happening on the ground in Gaza, but it’s an AI illustration that’s allowed to find its way to their feeds. It’s devastating.
Journalists, meanwhile, sit in the position of having their work fed into large-language models. On Wednesday, Axios reported that Vox Media and The Atlantic had both made deals with OpenAI that would allow the ChatGPT maker to use their content to train its AI models. Writing in The Atlantic itself, Damon Beres called it a “devil’s bargain,” pointing out the copyright and ethical battles AI is currently fighting and noting that the technology has “not exactly felt like a friend to the news industry”—a statement that may one day itself find its way into a chatbot’s memory. Give it a few years and much of the information out there—most of what people “see”—won’t come from witness accounts or result from a human looking at evidence and applying critical thinking. It will be a facsimile of what they reported, presented in a manner deemed appropriate.
Admittedly, this is drastic. As Beres noted, “generative AI could turn out to be fine,” but there is room for concern. On Thursday, WIRED published a massive report looking at how generative AI is being used in elections around the world. It highlighted everything from fake images of Donald Trump with Black voters to deepfake robocalls from President Biden. It’ll get updated throughout the year, and my guess is that it’ll be hard to keep up with all the misinformation that comes from AI generators. One image may have put eyes on Rafah, but it could just as easily put eyes on something false or misleading. AI can learn from humans, but it cannot, like Ut did, save people from the things they do to each other.

⯈ Headcanon: The room
Kane and the relation with his room is a strange thing, to put it bluntly.
He lives in the Rocket dorms, luckily on his own mind you, as he can't afford to live elsewhere. There, the door is a bit finicky where it needs several locks to be any good, though people still tend to break it down with a good body slam.
And people do break it down. He's known to not be so 'loyal' to Rocket, to be someone who fucked the organization over, though only superiors know the cold, hard truth, rendering everybody else rumour-mongering and making up stories because they heard this and that, and simply enjoy making Kane's life hell as he's an easy target. So he tends to put his mattress behind it on the days he feels most unsafe, leaving him sleeping on the bed with only a mess of blankets for comfort.
The room is basic with only a bed, mirror, and, quite luckily, a tiny bathroom with sink, toilet and shower. He keeps his clothes and belongings in boxes, which he finds to be quite a pain. There's no place to really hide anything except in a small broken panel behind the bed. Presumably the person who used the room before him broke the wall there to stash whatever, so he's grateful for that as he can use it himself to hide his most precious of things. All in all, there's a lack of true privacy in the room.
Anyway. To the point of the post.
His room is the only place on earth that he can hide away from the world in. This means that, as people can just break in, he doesn't have anywhere that is truly safe. That fact alone causes him to hate his room. But, on the other hand, it's his room and his room alone, and he needs his own sanctuary. Hence, on bad days, he puts the mattress against the door in hopes people can't then open it.
His room is where he tries to sleep, where he gets naked and thus vulnerable for showering or even when he's simply over stimulated and can't bare to be dressed, where he can hurt and punish himself, and where he can cry and let himself truly be himself. So you can imagine how conflicting this room is for him without one-hundred percent privacy, which is something everybody deserves and needs.
All this is why he prefers to go to other people's places if their homes or dorm rooms for whatever reason, often for the sex they want, a simple visit, or just so he can finally sleep safely. He will just go with someone and do as they please so he can fall asleep at their place knowing nobody will invade their space. He wants his room to remain his and his alone, to be his secret little hideout. So when people ask if they can go back to his, he will quickly and painfully decline, wishing he could just say sure, come over. So far only Jax and Shayan have been (reluctantly) invited inside, while the rest have simply barged in against his will.
A love hate relationship.

Wait which islamophobe did he started following ??
Sam Harris
but he got his ass on a pitchfork and unfollowed and unliked posts of his
ALSO can I be honest here? I though Benny gonna tip the other way. That he, as many many WAY too many many people, will blindly follow the grayzone, mintpress, censoredmen, hinkle and god forbid syriangirl, kinda shitstains adoration crowd. Ya know basically a crowd of assad/putin/irgc mouthpieces and out of the closet nazis who spread misinformation and gain clout on the back of a fucking tragedy while pretending to care. Like that's where I was envisioning benny to stand. To follow the stupid masses to appease the stupid masses
He just skipped a couple of steps here and there and ye know as them kids say, mask off
and using the occasion. here is a verified list if you want to help AND I would put a really big emphasis on Doctors Without Borders cuz they are miracle workers
and obviously per usual I'd recommend actual journalists to follow if ye wanna an opinion of an expert. Yashar Ali and Oz Katerji with years of experience. And also likes of bellingcat and Shayan Sardarizadeh who do fact checking. And Rasha Al Aqeedi just because
DON'T BE A BENNY

Radha Raman Ji Temple in Vrindavan: A Living Symbol of Bhakti and Grace
Radha Raman Ji Temple in Vrindavan: A Living Symbol of Bhakti and Grace

Situated in the holy town of Vrindavan, the Radha Raman Ji Temple in Vrindavan is an ever-enduring symbol of faith, beauty, and love divine. Adored by devotees across the globe numbering millions, this iconic temple is not just a place of spiritual solace but also an embodiment of the eternal bond of Radha and Krishna. Its history, daily darshans, and exuberant celebrations render it one of India's most spiritually vibrant locations.
A Temple Born of Divin Will
The Radha Raman Ji Temple at Vrindavan was built in 1542 by Gopala Bhatta Goswami, a Vrindavan Goswami and a staunch disciple of Chaitanya Mahaprabhu. The Radha Raman deity, or "the giver of joy to Radha," is special in the Krishna temple world. Unlike other gods that are typically created by human hands, this deity is self-manifested (svayambhu). What makes the god even more unique is that it represents both Radha and Krishna in one form—demonstrating their divine oneness
.
Architecture That Breathes History
As you step into the Radha Raman Ji Temple in Vrindavan, you are immediately transported back in time. The temple architecture, although small in size, is complex and spiritually engaging. The black stone deity stands just 12 inches tall, yet emanates a powerful spiritual energy that captivates the heart of every visitor. The aura of the temple, combined with ancient stone carvings and timeless murals, offers a divine atmosphere that transports you to the days of Krishna’s lilas.
Daily Darshan and Rituals

Devotees from all over the world flock to the Radha Raman Ji Temple in Vrindavan for the soul-stirring daily darshans. The temple is open early in the morning and late at night, with several aartis, bhajans, and sevas during the day. From Mangala Aarti to Rajbhog and Shayan Aarti, every ritual is conducted with utmost devotion and strict adherence to centuries-old traditions.
Though you may not be able to be physically present in Vrindavan, the temple is available with digital darshan services. With live streaming and day-by-day updated pictures, pilgrims can worship Radha Raman Ji at any location globally.
Festivals That Illuminate the Soul
Radha Raman Ji Temple in Vrindavan is famous for grand celebrations of Janmashtami, Radhashtami, Holi, and Jhulan Yatra. Most beautiful among the events is "Phool Bangla" at night during the summer months when the deity is dressed with large flower decorations. Devotees also actively involve themselves in activities like Rajbhog Sewa, helping prepare offerings and looking after the upkeep of the temple.
These festivals turn the entire temple into a living canvas of faith. Music, chanting, flowers, and lights weave an unforgettable spiritual experience, bringing people closer to divine love.
A Hub for Global Devotees
The religious importance of the Radha Raman Ji Temple in Vrindavan extends far beyond the borders of India. Pilgrims and travelers from Russia, the United States, Europe, and Latin America visit the temple regularly, making it a global spiritual center. The site is multilingual, so no devotee feels isolated because of a language barrier.
In addition to daily darshans and temple visits, many devotees engage with the temple by contributing to temple services, helping in renovations, or sponsoring prasadam distribution and seva events.
Stay Connected Beyond Vrindavan
One of the most remarkable things about the Radha Raman Ji Temple in Vrindavan is its ability to reach people wherever they are. Through its social media and website, the temple posts latest news, blog posts, and festival news, keeping the spiritual fire burning in the hearts of believers. The blog section includes posts such as "A Living Symbol of Devotion in Vrindavan" and "श्रीधाम वृन्दावन – भक्ति और प्रेम की पावन भूमि," enhancing one's knowledge about the culture and spiritual significance of Vrindavan.
Plan Your Visit or Contribute Online
Situated in the center of Vrindavan, Uttar Pradesh (281121), Radha Raman Ji Temple in Vrindavan is within easy reach. People are welcome to get in touch with the temple for customized seva options, accommodation information, and schedule of events. And if you cannot go in person, you can still donate to the services of the temple online, thereby making your contribution to the seva of Radha Raman Ji. Whether it is the spiritual environment, the historical significance, or the presence of God in the temple, the Radha Raman Ji Temple in Vrindavan is an experience that lingers forever. It's a holy place where the body and soul converge, where the soul gets its ultimate calling, and where love for God is nurtured in its ultimate sense.

💬 and now kane and shayan
"I like Kane, he's a good friend and a kind person. I worry about him, though; he's in over his head. He's too soft for what happened to him."
"I'm indifferent to Shayan, she has a tyranitar and likes to punch things, and that's all I really know about her. Could be useful to work with; she was smart enough not to get in my way."

Danger levels of the trio
Jax: 100/100
Jax is dangerous and acts it out wherever he can. He is manipulative and callous without a care for anybody else, which leads him to doing whatever he can do harm someone if physically or mentally, and he has no issue with his actions. Yet to be caught, he is sneaky and sly in how he goes about things and will never hurt a person if he knows it can get him in trouble or put him in true danger. On his person, he carries a knife at all times and has some skill in using it, and rarely carries a gun. However, he would rather cut someone to ribbons than shoot them, and usually he does. For fun. He also bites and has great physical strength, both of which come into play rather often.
Kane: 20/100
Kane isn't dangerous as such but isn't far from bullying people who are susceptible to it when they 'deserve' it, throwing punches that can actually do damage, contrary to the popular belief of him being weak and frail. Though he tries to be a good person, and generally is, he knows he has to be 'bad' at times as per his place of work, and will do whatever commanded so as to not get hurt himself. He often carries a knife but has yet to use it due to fear of actually doing serious damage to someone, which he wants to avoid. All in all, he's more the sort to use his fists and teeth and do minimal damage, preferring to make a point than do anything grievous.
Shayan: 100/100
Shayan is highly dangerous but keeps her actions scarce when it actually comes to acting out. She would rather save the effort if it isn't worth it and go for the throat when needs be, making quick work of whoever. She bullies the lower ranks without much care and this involves scrapping with them or putting them in their place physically and mentally. However, unlike Jax, she doesn't care much to go after people's minds, only doing that sort of thing when she has to, if someone is an enemy to Rocket or to herself, or they need to step down a peg in confidence or whatever. She has an arsenal of personal and work weapons, always carrying a knife for self protection, and she knows how to use it very well having been trained in blades and other weaponry. She is known in Rocket as "Menace" and lives up to it, those hearing said name knowing it comes with danger and power.

@poisonedrocket // Sniff sniff
The frightfully gigantic Tyranitar's jaws so slowly open as though it was to devour the man's head, leaning in closer and closer by the second. Constricted pupils seem fixated on its prey, breath halted for now...
... Until it simply stops like that, inches from putting its teeth next to Arsenio's flesh. Or in it.
"And wot did I say?"
At the words, the beast snaps its jaws shut just above the man's head, suddenly twisting its head around to look at the speaker and its master, Shayan.
"No eatin' humans, right? We never done that an' we won't." Firm words, she stands there, arms folded, looking strangely passive.
The Tyranitar huffs through its nostrils, beginning to slowly stomp away from the pair.
"Yea, you better not eat 'im." Then she looks to Arsenio. "Ugh."

"Sir. Would you like to acquire one single Grimer from myself?"
There were hundreds, if not THOUSANDS of Grimers slinking through Kanto's sewers. None of them were like Shayan's though. She had a technique in rearing these biohazards into legitimate threats, which is why Proton perked up and turned around when the offer was made.
"Actually! 🎶"
He reaches for his belt, and takes out a Quick Ball that had been tucked away. Spinning it on one finger, Proton tosses it in the elite officer's direction.
"Trade you for a Zubat! This one just hatched, it's got Hypnosis as an egg move."

"See, yer gettin' worked up. Stop it. It gets y'nowhere."
Stern as ever again, Shayan glances around as though to make sure nobody else is in the area, to ensure they're alone. And they are, which is good because she doesn't want to attract unwanted attention. At least not for now.
"Do you want me offer or not? And na. I don' know shit about y'. Hence why am 'ere an' askin'." A roll of the eyes, she folds her arms.
"Anyway. Call me Ryder, an' I hate kids bein' picked on. Then again, y'ain' a kid, really. Kids're more like..." A hand raises to hover by her shoulder. "Yay height or somethin'. Yer a teen. Act like it."
she keeps prattling on. Does she like hearing herself talk or something? Why is she here? Why did she even bother? Even if she doesn’t know specifics, she clearly knows enough to get Jax in trouble if that’s what she’s after.
So what’s her game?
Ree doesn’t know, and that? That’s terrifying.
“— stop acting like I’m some snot nosed brat that would cry or scream at everything. It’s really starting to piss me off. I’m not helpless. I’m not offended by common sayings! Goddamn, you really don’ know shit, do you?”
Another laugh. Ree grabs at a handful of their hair and tugs.
“Sure! I’ll tell you everything. Every goddamn detail that’s been going through my head on repeat for the last year! That’ll be great!” more laughter. “It’ll be a party!”

Names: ALL THREE: Jax kane and shayan bwahahaha
Send me a character and I'll say if they are attractive

"Jax would only be attractive if he was six feet under in a box" Joking aside he will admit Jax is decent-looking but not that attractive to him, he wouldn't date him.

"I'll admit Kane is somewhat attractive to me, But I also know enough to know his attraction to me is something he wants from me, whether it be protection, power or who knows. So I'll wait and see what the cost is worth the price. I have no plans to date them seriously though, but some fun here and there? Sure."

"Look wise? Not really to my taste. But she can throw a decent punch and has a Tyranitar... But yeah still probably a no. She doesn't really strike my interest.
