This post is FAR later than I would have liked, but I think that's expected considering all the experimenting I've been doing with these comic parts 🤔

My original thought was that putting the characters' text in the color of their skin/fur(?) would help differentiate what they say so that no one would be confused.

But in the end, I think it was messed up with the background being so colorful. So, I tried adding contrasting boxes behind the text, but it just made it look messier, I think 🤔

Regardless, I'm glad to have these three pictures done, I think I'll improve as I continue drawing.

Congrats, it's evolved from random pony drawings. Now, I'll likely try to keep my pony related stuff here.

Since the characters will change as the comic goes on I don't think I'll bother with "official character info" on this account until later on.

(Still working on the comic rn btw. Lots of stuff I don't feel like naming often stands in the way of this, but it's coming together gradually.)

Mr X / XLeon Headcannons + Sherry stuff

I REMEMBERED THEM GUYS I DID IT- anywas

- I've got a big feeling that X is nonverbal autistic, idk just some signs point to it especially the fact that not once does it talk or make noises even when injured, it has to take it mutating for it to start making any noise at all. Observance is another thing, how observant it is when it comes to looking around the place and quickly scanning

- It has no clue how to react to any affection. Like at all, X would probably assume any affection or physical touch given to it as a test or relate it to something the scientists had taught it previously.

- Branching off the last one, It would take a long ass time for Leon to accurately break down X enough on the habits it's created to let it be vulnerable enough to understand the affection and love that Leon gives it.

- It would also take a long ass time for Leon to start feeling any affection towards the tyrant, most likely it'd have to start out with small things that X doesn't realize it does to protect Leon, only seeing Leon as a vital piece to a mission and him dying would drastically alter the outcome. They probably wouldn't end up together until after resi 4-6

- X most likely sleeps really stiffly and doesn't understand how relaxing works, like it's usually planking when laying down bc it knows that's how it's supposed to be in the cryogenic tubes and has never had a full break to relax

- Considering that tyrants do not have Genetalia or anything else for that fact, they're ken dolls, I feel like X doesn't have a desire to eat or reproduce in any factual way, it just exists, it could eat to gain energy but there would be no waste from eating.

Sherry stuff:

Honestly I just did this bc I feel like they would have a cool dad/daughter relationship and I love it

- She gives him makeovers constantly, pretty princess and all, Leon walks in to check and Xs face is covered in pearly glitter eyeshadow #7, it's great. It doesn't mind the makeup either

- Even with Xs programing to kill all survivors or really anything for that fact, it's never seen a human child before so it's brain would be focused on trying to deduct what Sherry exactly is, since it's never seen human young.

- X is more like the cool protective dad to her where Leon is laid back and tired with her, and of course we have aunt Claire but yea, X is like the one to sneak ice cream from the freezer to give to her even after Leon said no bc how is Leon gonna tell the giant zombie man in his kitchen no to ice cream??

Sherry Birkin <3 Going through Claire's run now and I love her to pieces. I was so angry with Chief Irons I wanted him dead. I was so happy when Sherry whacked him with acid. I cannot express how I cheered when William came and attacked him. He's always there to protect the baby.

One thing that I never mention is just how much influence Moriarty has over Sherry--I have imagined her encountering him throughout Limbus Company's story many times, and it's really hard to describe the way he makes her feel ...

She's of course angry at him and wants to take revenge for what he did to Watson, but she does also have this nagging fear of him, too. Yes, there's the fear of him hurting the Sinners, since they're her friends, but there's also this lingering fear of knowing she could be just like Moriarty--it's the classic ''you and I, we're the same'' trope for the hero and villain. The key difference between these two is that Sherry, despite her claims, does care about others, and has developed meaningful relationships built on trust, while Moriarty views his subordinates as pawns that he can command as he sees fit.

But, since I imagine Sherry heads out alone to face Moriarty in her Canto (at first, that is--I have plans /lh), it's very easy for him to get into her head by pouncing on her decision to come along and drilling in his belief that she doesn't trust the Sinners and Dante enough to help her defeat them. That Sherry can only truly depend on herself, and no one else. And, though this is untrue, his words would be enough to make her falter, because ... well, he's right, in a way. Sherry has a very hard time trusting people after the one person she loved most was killed because she trusted him.

So, sure, she can say she went off alone because she wanted to keep the Sinners safe from Moriarty, but is that really the truth? It may appear she's thinking of them, and putting their well-being first, but isn't she truly doing this so she doesn't get hurt again? Or is it because she wants the satisfaction of bringing Moriarty down herself, without the others trying to intervene and stop her? Does her vengeance--the justice she feels she deserves--matter more to her than her friends?

That, I feel, would be her lowest point. The moment that her deepest fear has been realized--that she and Moriarty are the same.

I've narrowed it down to two different types, both that I know through his experimentations. I can try to recreate it if you'd like, cara. Perhaps the resources of Minrathous would be better equipped for such endeavors? Ah, I jest. Or do I? It all depends on your reply, investigatore.

How are you? Are you well? I think about you often. I hope you are not thinking of me. That would be terribly sad, to still be thinking about old Omri after all these years. I suppose that makes me terribly sad, because I am always thinking about you and about the person you helped me to become. Perhaps I am becoming that person again now that I have been tangled up in this group dedicated to keeping the Veil as it was. What do you think of all of this? I'm sure a smart girl, an elf, like yourself would have plenty to say. You would probably know far more than I do. And you are such a quick learner! You always have been. 

I miss our outings. Did you ever get a contract to go to the opera after I lost you? Are you free now, free to go to the opera any time you want? I would like that for you. The last opera I attended was over six months ago. Miserable! Terribly miserable, to go so long without a show! It was the second of a trio. I hope that I will live through all of this in order to see the third. Would it not be a shame to die before I get to see the proper ending? I worry about silly things like that quite often, to tell you the truth. Now, without you to look out for, I worry about dying over the silliest things. I used to want to live for proper reasons, like keeping you safe. Keeping the world safe means so little. There are better people than I to worry themselves with such trivial things.

capcom has worked so hard to mold the absolute mess that is the resident evil franchise onto a nice streamlined story through these remakes, and on a surface level they work really well, and they're great for people who are new to the games and don't know where to start, but the moment you start poking around, you realize you actually need the original run of the games to get the full context of things left vague in the remakes
