I have a question that also poses as a headcanon:

Do you guys think Stein would either be unsettled by nursery rhymes or find them soothing?

The thought came up while I was listening to Shoots and Ladders by KoRn.

I'd like to think that he'd question why the hell kids would chant "London bridge is falling down," or "ring around the rosie," etc, when the meaning behind most of them are dark in nature.

Especially near the end of the song where the singer (Jonathan Davis) sounds like he's mumbling the rhymes, it reminds me of Stein in a state of Madness, repeating them to himself over and over again, desperate to find meaning in them, trying to soothe himself, but it ends up freaking him the hell out even more?

I keep thinking back on my rung&whirl penpal fic, and the handful of scenes with Rung being/writing about being on a train to and from work... like bud! -i'm- currently on a train to and from work, cradling a screen device, being blinded by the morning sun!

Gosh I just love it so much, can't believe it's been 3 whole years since I wrote it. Damn man, where does that time go
