Sidon tries to explain to the best of his capacity to Link your situation, after what felt hours of Sidon trying to say the right word, Link seemed so unamused and that just confused Sidon even more.... You know what? You're now under Link's care..... “What”

After that, you try your best to get to know Link, what he likes and dislikes, what is he interested in, etc

Making friends is not your forte but you quite get along with Link

Normally, Link before the calamity is a quiet, put-together young guy, preferring to not show any emotions whatsoever

But after the calamity and the whole memory loss??

He's a chaotic mother fucker

Well, mostly he is quite put together when he talks to people, but when adventuring

You can see him killing time like killing a lot of octorok, getting the balloons and just sending something flying

Or infiltrate bokoblin's camps using nothing but a mask

Or just cooking amounts of food that you could serve in pre-calamity castle town and everyone could have a plate and they'll be some food left

Basically, he gets weird everytime he's bored

May I present: Sidon can feel what the Avatar!Sidon companion feels. Avatar!Sidon also being a personification of Sidon’s soul and true feelings. The avatar cannot speak therefore simply shows what Sidon wishes to do through small gestures (and as protector in general). Meanwhile, King Sidon in the Domain feels a strange tingle in his hand as the avatar traces a hand over Link's cheek...

Sidlink headcanons bc i am unwell about them

- the first time Link sounds out Sidon's name Sidon tears up 😁👍

- Link is very bad at receiving compliments. Sidon is very good at giving compliments and turning Link into a Mess

- Muzu shaking his fists when he realise not one but BOTH of King Dorephan's kids...he can't help but grow to like Link too tho bc Link is the domain's errand person 🫡

- matching body jewelry sets (sidon's is opal & luminous stones and he had one ruby & luminous set made for link because it matches his scales....)

- over time they develop certain signs for Link to communicate ideas and the most used one has to be "are you alright/safe?"

- Link adopts Royal Guard Mode when he's out with Sidon out of instinct...Sidon finds it adorable but also "Link I can't see you if you walk behind me please I just want to hold your hand"

- they go swimming together all the time with Link on Sidon's back

Couldn’t believe it at first, refused to believe it but seeing the tears watching what you went through. It made him sick.

He hated that he couldn’t have done something to protect you, He should have protected you because you should have never had to do something like that in the first place.

Link try’s to find comfort knowing you’re still alive, that you’re okay since it’s the only way he can move on.

He has too because it’s the only way he can fight to get you back.

After

Seeing you sleeping in the fields, it took a moment for him to realize that you were finally back, that you were back. He kept chanting in his head as he rushed to your side. He held you close, breathing in your scent praying that this was real. That it wasn’t some dream that he’d soon wake up from.

Your voice was soft as you held him, it finally hit him that he was crying in your arms.

“Thank you Link.”

But nothing mattered because you were back in his arms and he was never going to let you go again.

Pulling back for a moment you let your thumb brush his tears away, Link did his best to press his palm in your hand. He didn’t need to say anything, it just felt good to hold you again.

Leaning in he then placed his lips against yours keeping you tight against his chest. Returning the kiss you nearly melted in the man’s arms, you were finally home.

She blamed herself, it should have been her! Why wasn’t it her. She couldn’t even look Link in the eyes, she felt so weak. She buries herself into research finding anyway to get you back. She keeps thinking that it should have been her, hates how people keep taking about you.

Zelda is determined to get you back, she will get you back!

After

Immediately tackles you in for a hug, it’s a little suffocating and you’re a little dazed and tired but you’re here and you’re back.

She’s scared to let you go so you just let her hold you, your fingers gently patting her back to reassure her.

“I’m sorry Zelda…I couldn’t.”

“It doesn’t matter! You’re here now y/n.” Zelda smiled softly, tear sliding down her cheeks as she rested her head against yours.

Laughing softly you cupped her cheeks drawing her in for a soft kiss. Breaking the kiss, Zelda let out a soft laugh she let herself relax in your arms. “I am so happy that you are okay.”

Takes him much longer to find out, he heard rumors about you vanishing along with the Princess and Link and yet he refused to believe it. You couldn’t just vanish with out him knowing. Not when you both had a wedding to plan.

But when he sees a dragon flying over the Zora's Domain he couldn’t help but feel a sense of familiarity tugging at his heart strings but it wasn’t until Link and Zelda came he finally found out what happened.

He nearly broke down, his love changed to protect everyone. You were so close yet so far away, so out of reach from him. He was going to do anything in his power to get you back to him.

After

You were so tired, you didn’t remember much but it finally felt so good to be back in your lovers arms. Even though the man dwarfed you in height it did not stop him from lifting you off the ground to hold you as he nuzzled his face into your neck.

“I am so happy to have you home my love.”

Blinking back your own tears you smiled hiding your face into his neck. “I am happy to be home to.”

Teba couldn’t help but feel troubled hearing of your disappearance. He scolded himself for even letting you go along with the two. It made him feel worse knowing finding out what really happened to you but of course he would have to keep that information to himself.

He would often find himself flying next to you, it gave him some comfort even though you might not recognize him at least you were still here.

After

Easily caught you as soon as you started to fall, he chuckled at your flushing face. He did not realize how much he missed it. It felt good to hold you again and know matter how much you protested about being put down he knew that was not going to happen anytime soon.

He felt warm, he felt like home and it felt good to see him again. Sighing you shook her head pressing her face into the crook of his neck.

Prince Sidon for the 4 headcanons thing

Headcanon A:  realistic

Sidon loses his teeth all the time, which is fine bc he has infinite shark teeth. Sometimes he loses them during fights with monsters because he likes to bite but sometimes they just fall out and his Zora fan club collects them. (also hammerheads, the sharks Sidon is designed after, eat stingrays so sometimes he has the urge to bite Muzu and he may have indulged in these urges when he was a child, Muzu still has the scars...)

Headcanon B: while it may not be realistic it is hilarious

He has secret eyes on the hammerhead portion of his head. He can't see very well out of them though so he keeps them closed. Maybe he just needs some glasses for them... but if he has to look behind him without turning his head or anything he can. It can be convenient in a fight.

Headcanon C: heart-crushing and awful, but fun to inflict on friends

Sidon gets his optimism from Mipha, She was relentlessly positive and he feels like he has to imitate that at all times with everyone. It makes people like him but it's not always completely genuine. He feels like he has to be happy all the time and he has to be a good influence to the rest of the Zora, but it's impossible to be that way all the time. With his status as a prince and as someone with permanent optimism, he feels like he can't ever reveal his true feelings to many people. It was really bad after Mipha's death but it's been getting better after the last century and he has a royal therapist. Link arriving in the domain didn't help as he stirred up memories that he had been trying to bury but he knew enough that he refused to blame Link for his sister's death like many of the other Zora have. He knew that Mipha loved the hero and would be pretty devastated if he blamed Link. He just wants Mipha to be proud of him.

Headcanon D: unrealistic, but I will disregard canon about it because I reject canon reality and substitute my own.

His scales aren't always red, Hammerhead sharks can tan, so I think that in the summer when he gets a lot of sun, his hide is that bright red but as the seasons change, he gets lighter, and in the winter his scales are completely the original shark gray. Sometimes if he stays in the sun for too long, or if he travels to more sunny places, his skin can turn even darker, at some places even becoming black. Though he'd still have to stay hydrated it wouldn't be a burn so he wouldn't get like Zora skin cancer or anything.

🔱 Zora Headcanon 🔱

Considering the offering of armour was Mipha’s grand gesture of partnership, it seems they give specific objects of value to you and of emotional value to them, perhaps even handmade! If you're a fisher, it'd be the finest spear. If a hunter, the most intricate dagger. If an artist, a fancy quill with a cool af feather they found.

Sharks do closely circle around those who they’re interested in (prey tbh lol). If Sidon keeps walking around you in circles it’s pretty obvious. Teeth baring smile, the urge to bite™ be strong (maybe not as vicious as irl sharks, as they bite pretty hard in courtship rip. just a nibbl here). Funny if he's doing it absentmindedly dfgdfg.

Also to link in with this previous hc, display behaviours are also a thing. Showing prowess particularly such as doing the biggest splash (for zora mayb aerial leaps?). Sidon specifically showing how strong of a warrior and protector he is too etc.

For my ocean zora ocs, the offering of a sword is a huge romantic gesture! Sidon showed Lionel a weapon he kept in good condition when they used to spar as children, whenever Lio’s dad Kahn visited Dorephan for their alliance. Lionel couldn’t tell if the reappearance of the sword was a romantic gesture or just for nostalgic sentimental reasons lol)

I think it's very clear and obvious that Sidon is MASSIVELY in love with link, however, in my personal hc I don't think link has romantic feelings for him, let alone anyone. Sidon has a huge crush (and probably has since he was little), mipha had a crush, npc's crush on him, but I don't think link himself has interest in anyone like that.

it might be me projecting onto him since I don't really experience romantic attraction for people (especially when I got shit to do, ain't got time for that and also, there are infinitely more interesting things to be doing than constantly pining for someone).

like, don't get me wrong, I love inserting romance into things (aka shipping stuff), but I just don't get the vibe (and never have really) that link likes anyone like that (except in skyward sword where he and zelda legit like each other).
