Better Townies: No CC and No Packs Hacks

I use CC a lot but always remove it for my gallery uploads. I’ve noticed that people often use CC to fix the basic face shapes the game generates, so here are some tricks to make faces more interesting without relying on face detail kits.

Play With Proportions

Imagine you’re 12 years old again and really amused by large noses and small mouths... Make everything exaggerated, then balance it out again.

Basic face types (that are absent from the game's generation system) are all about accents: wide mouths with tiny lips, round faces with tiny chins, big noses with small eyes... These are archetypes you’ll use often with this trick.

Use Cheatsheets

Speaking of archetypes, there are three ways to make townies using default settings. One is to use templates from CAS. The second is to breed them in genetics mode. The third, which I use most often, is to refer to the viral ethnicity chart.

It gives you a general idea of the face proportions you might encounter. The game only generates round faces for women and square faces for men, so this chart is really refreshing to use.

Choose a color scheme

This is general advice for any decorating: choose a palette using a website or create your own, then stick to it. Never use default makeup colors, and change the hue whenever you can. That way, you’ll get a unique makeup texture without using CC makeup.

Forget gender tags

Yes, triangle boobs aren’t ideal, but the catalog is too limiting with gender tags. Remove all filters for clothing except color. That way, we finally have sneakers for a wedding, sweaters for cold weather, and a boyfriend's t-shirt as sleepwear.

Make it immersive

I can't stand seeing Bella Goth swimming in the pool with her Old Hollywood hairstyle… It takes time, but I always make sure my townies have immersive hairstyles and makeup. They wear face masks (sun screen overlay) at night and put their hair in a ponytail when they go to the gym. Make it more lifelike!

Some other tricks I use all the time:

Don’t try to make your Sim pretty or hot. That’s determined by their style, not genetics, just like in real life! Take off their hair and clothes, make genetic adjustments, and only then style them.

Apply a color filter and randomize their clothing from the category. You’ll be surprised by the clothes hidden in swatches.

Avoid iconic outfits. I’m talking about Landgraab shirts and the Goth red looks. Use swatches no other townie has ever used. Believe me, no one can wear a jacket with a t-shirt like Johnny Zest did.

How to upload a room with platforms, to the gallery.

Hey friends!

Just dropping by to share a trick that I figured out when we first got those glorious things called platforms!

The platform tool is without a doubt, a game changer. It adds interest and depth to all builds and it is definitely a favourite of mine.

So, you can image my frustration when I realised that the cute bathroom I built with raised bath, couldn’t be uploaded to the gallery as a room! 

WHYYY EA, WHYYY!

If you have felt this frustration, read on to find out how to get around this.

I’ve made a little video to show you, because I am very much a visual learner.

Step by step: 

1. Make sure your room is at ground level, it won’t work if you have a foundation on your room. 

2. Draw a room around the one you want to upload. 

3. Remove the walls of the outside room. You can do this with the hammer tool or by clicking the ‘remove wall’ button like I do in the video. 

4. Delete the outside rooms ceiling (I didn’t show this but you simply go up a floor and delete it with the hammer tool) 

5. Click on the floor of the outside room. 

6. Click the folder button on the bar at the top. 

7. Enter all the necessary details on the gallery post and upload either to your personal library or your public gallery. 

Ta Dah! 

When someone downloads the room, all they have to do is delete the floor of the outside room. 

Please not that any stairs or ladders in the room will not upload and they will need re-adding once its downloaded.

Hey guys (I literally have no followers so I’m talking to nobody but for those who do somehow end up finding this post) I have a few codes and things to make your sims game a little more interesting (: You can’t do these at the start of a new game but once you have a family in a house or whatever you can use them.

Start with by press CTRL+SHIFT+C and a small white bar will come up at the top. For the first one you don’t need to put in the testing cheats code (which is actually just testingcheats on) but for the rest you do-

§50k - motherlode (you can do this repeatedly to get a reward at about 100k)

Unlock all build mode items - bb.ignoregameplayunlocksentitlement

All homes free - FreeRealEstate On

Teleport - Teleport Me Here

Manipulate Sims Needs - Make Happy

Move Objects Anywhere - bb.moveobjects on (or bb.moveobjectson)

Hidden Objects - bb.showhiddenobjects
