as a litfic nerd to my core, I love fun structure in fiction and this series has been so much fun to approach in a different way than my other more linear fics - especially with a pairing that's known each other their whole lives, going back and forth through time has just felt so right!! this series is a heart-breaker but it's also my favorite thing to work on, I think. yearning for days (decades) and one very tender-hearted and damaged javier (my favorite) is basically my ideal combo :,)

cover me up was my first fic / first series and I finally wrapped it at the end of august and honestly the finale really made the whole thing for me. it's sort of unconventional (won't spoil) but it felt so right to me at the end, and I'm really proud of it :,) also it made me weep like a child writing it HAHA

My favorite Pedro character is this guy, right here. I can’t recall the amount of times I’ve watched Narcos over the years…..aside from the obvious primal-temporal-lobe-activation he causes me I love the dichotomy and complicated sides to Javier, how an officer of the law skirts ethical and professional mores to get what (and who) he wants while stuffed into tight jeans and half buttoned camp shirts I’m sorry/not sorry, I can’t resist.

My favorite non-Pedro character is this guy. I’ve been a Star Wars fan my entire life and Cassian Andor hit me like a ton of bricks and being played by Diego Luna certainly helped because I’ve loved him for years and years. Again, another complicated protagonist who struggles with right and wrong for the sake of a greater cause and is also a manwhore (I think I have a type, I should discuss this with my therapist.)

I loved your Savior Complex fic. It felt so accurate to Javi's character, to be that guy who'll keep coming back to the hopeless case, determined to Fix It Goddamnit, being a grumpy asshole about it the whole time.

And I wanted to rec Bound by @frannyzooey, a spicy hotttttt Din Djarin/reader fic. It's just smut. Amazing smut.

And finally I'll self-rec my own One Day at a Time, a Joel Miller x OFC set in Jackson post game/season 1; Joel accidentally knocks a gal up and shenanigans ensue.

Here's my review of Bound

This is probably the hottest thing I've ever read and if it's not then it's like... near the top of the list. Holy shit. Bondage? Din just absolutely railing you? The soft and sweet ending? It's truly everything you could ever want. And the imagery. I could see this like a movie in my head (which is awesome, thank you, best movie ever).

and here's my review of One Day at a Time.

This fic was so fucking perfect. I rarely, if ever, read fics centering on pregnancy/having kids. I'm so glad you recced this to me because I never would have read it otherwise. The story is absolutely gorgeous. You nail everyone's characterization so perfectly. I love the OC!Charlie so much. She's feisty and independent and everything joel miller needs. I adored all the little moments of him remembering Sarah, of him comforting and building a better relationship with Ellie. The smut was pretty damn nice too lol

dieter would be so FUN to take camping (read as: have copious amounts of hot sex in the tent with) but i think he'd whine even more than i would. frankie however is such a capable outdoorsman that i wouldn't have to build the fire so i think i'll pick him (he would also want to fog up the tent i'm sure) 😂

as for campfire songs, i'm not a traditionalist so i'll take anything abba! i know all the words to all the songs but my particular favorite for my range is my love, my life 😂

🍓What’s a fic you’ve written you feel is underrated?

So I’m choosing to interpret “underrated” as “disproportionately loved by me” here, and to that end it’s always going to be Point of No Return.

It’s a few years old now, and my writing has definitely changed a little, but that story will always be really close to my heart, and any time someone reads it or comments on it I feel like I could fly.

It’s an Ezra x Female OC story - meet Clara, my most beloved (to me) OC that I’ve ever written - that takes place after the events of Prospect but tells the story of a love so strong that even the Green Moon couldn’t poison it even though it tried. It’s what happens when Ezra & Cee show up on Kamrea in need of a place to stay while Ezra recovers from the worst prospecting gig ever, and it’s written in 3 alternating POVs.

I’ve been flirting with a short follow-up series for far too long now, but every day it gets closer to happening. So maybe soon.

I think I tend to stick to soft-sweet-sometimes smutty fics with a dash of light angst thrown in here and there, just enough to tug at your heartstrings. There are a few darker tropes I enjoy but I usually find those fics in other fandoms because it’s very character-specific for me I guess? With the Pedro boys (minus Dave) I like to see them being good kind men treating their lovers nicely 😌 (I say minus Dave bc he’s the one guy I would rather see written as fucked up instead of redeemed lol 😏)

The second question feels nearly impossible because his face is so good in every state of beardedness… but he’s had the beard for so long now that I do find myself kind of missing the cleanshaven or at least mustache-only look. I was wishing we would get more pics of his lil mustache face during the Eddington shoot recently!
