I ran into a bit of a dilemma in writing this. I realized that a lot of you probably would be able to get into the role of you were called “GLaDOS”, so here’s the plan. I tried my hardest to not have to use (y/n), but me thinks I’m gonna have to. The actual operating system will be called “GLaDOS”, but you yourself will be called (y/n). You’re replacing Caroline & GLaDOS. There will be a little surprise - since this is my ver of Portal (AKA throwing Portal into Genshin), so you’ll be introduced as (y/n)! If this ruins the experience, please let me know, and I’ll come up with something different! ໒꒰ྀི´ ˘ ` ꒱ྀིა
Also! GORE WARNING!!!! THERE WILL BE GORE!! I’ll post a warning right before it starts and a little thing for where it ends!! ☆૮꒰ˊᗜˋ* ꒱ა
Finding out one of your islands is being used for things unknown is not something you want to wake up too.
But unfortunately, that was what Miss. Raiden Ei was subjected to this morning.
The apparent “island” wasn’t even actually an island. It looked like a small plot of land, with it’s only inhabitant being an old bot that resembled a Fontainian Meka - which was still active and very dangerous - and what looked to be some kind of small, one person hut. But when the fishermen who had found this island somehow managed to enter the hut, they found it actually housed a long, winding staircase that plummeted into the earth.
So of course this news was sent straight to Ei. As the Archon, anything that went on in her Nation’s boundaries that wasn’t documented was immediately brought up to her for investigation. In any other case she would have told the Tenryou Commission to take care of it or otherwise, but seeing as this was seemingly more than just a “island descending into the depths” - the fishermen also reported strange noises coming from below - this seemed like it would need to be handled with a more… direct touch.
Gathering her wits, she made a small “exploration team”. This team consisted of:
1. The Traveler, because why wouldn’t it
2. Kujo Sara, her loyalty will be of use
3. Maillardet, she had heard of his helping with the Icewind Suite Meka. His expertise may be needed.
And finally, though unfortunately,
4. Dottore.
As much as she may have detested the Fatui and their methods, she couldn’t deny they got results. And on top of that she had heard of his experiments on that of Ruin Guards, which again may be needed.
After making her plans and sending off letters to all she believed she may need, the Shogun began to wait.

It was dark in the Aperture Science building. Though it wasn’t silent. After word from the singular guard at one of many openings alerted human sightings after… years of nothing, you had to admit something inside you was excited.
It was in human and monster nature to be curious of the unknown. And with all the years since your last… nuisance test subject, you figured that Aperture may have been - more likely was - forgotten by those above.
You rapidly repaired test room after test room, rebuilding the facility to the best of your current abilities. Which wasn’t much a problem, because due to the lack of human error, you were able to keep the place up and running with extreme precision.
It looked just like when Aperture was first built.
With different power sources from every nation, keeping powered on was never an issue. The location that had been found by humans was the one that was powered by the never ending lightning storm that surrounded the nation of Inazuma.
The strikes of Electro traveled through the water into sensors placed on the ocean floor, that changed the pure Electro into actual electricity that was then used to power the specific part of Aperture Science that was stationed below it.
The real facility spanned all across Teyvat.
This was only the beginning.
And your cold heart was more than ready for this coming future.

“I am shocked than and Archon such as yourself has called for me.”
All heads in the room turned to face the masked male.
Kujo immediately summoned her bow and pointed it at the man, while Traveler did the same with his sword. Poor Maillardet only ran behind the armed female, clutching her skirt.
Kujo glanced at him before pushing all attention back on Dottore.
“Please lower your weapons.” Heads whipped to look at the sullen voice of Ei.
“I asked him to be here. Please do not make this experience more difficult than it already may be.” Even she seemed… less than enthused by her actions, but the sudden silence- to soak up her words - was interrupted by the man in question’s laughter.
“And how shocked I was when The Tsaritsa said the Electro Archon herself had asked for my assistance in a ‘pressing matter’! Please, do listen to her and try to not make this difficult?” His grin unwavering. Aether scoffed and Kujo only huffed a small ‘Yes, my Shogun’, before turning to her backseat passenger who hadn’t moved since Dottore’s appearance.
“… What?” The brunette asked. Then he sighed. “Just because I build fighters doesn’t mean I myself can fight, Madame.” He quickly pushed himself off her and dusted both her and him off.
With one more sigh, Ei stood.
“Let us not waste anymore time. There is an odd island off the coast of Amakane Island. On it is a single individual that resembles a Fontainian Meka, and a hut. The odd thing being that this hut holds a staircase that “plummets into the earth”, so say my sources.” She then looked at the Doctor.
“Have your men done anything to this island?” It was a fair question.
It wouldn’t be odd for the Fatui to have a lab or something of the sort in a Nation without the Archon or Nation’s knowledge. In fact, it wouldn’t be the first time. Though - again - Dottore only laughed again.
“No, Miss. Ei. We haven’t any labs that “plummet into the earth”, as you say.” Kujo flinched at him not referring to her Archon by her title, but before she could do anything, she was stopped by a look from said Archon.
“Thank you for being honest,” she hummed, “Then we best be off. Who knows what we shall find and who knows how long we may be.” And she started off.
Following behind her was everyone but Maillardet, who looked confused.
“No equipment? No food provisions?” He glanced a guard who was stationed at a door nearby who shrugged. They both sighed and spoke in unison.
“Vision holders…”

Making their way to Amakane Island was easy enough. Making their way to the unnamed island was also easy.
The Meka that was guarding the small hut was… tall, to say the least.
“It looks vaguely like a Suppression Specialist Mek mixed with an Assault Specialist Mek…” Maillardet muttered, causing Dottore’s head to whip in his direction.
“So nothing you’ve seen before?” He mused, causing the Fontainian to glare at him.
“No.” He huffed, “It isn’t.” Dottore smirked at that answer.
“Then we have an unknown Meka on our hands? Perhaps made by someone outside of Fontaine-“ “No.” Maillardet interrupted.
“It still has hints of Fontainian handiwork. The way you can see some gears and cogs, as well as the fact that it’s utilizing Fontaine gun tech. It very well could be imbued with Arkeh energy. If I had to guess, Ousia.”
Everyone stared at the man, who blushed.
“What I’m trying to say,” he breathed, “Is that while it’s not any Meka I’ve ever seen, it’s definitely made by Fontainian hands. Sir Aether should know how to deal with it effectively.” Dottore stared at the man.
Aether nodded and jumped off the boat they all currently inhabited, and began to attack. The others stayed back and watched as he gracefully dodged attacks and fought back.
Though, in a sudden switch of attack, the bullets firing from the cannon on its arm changed to Electro-Charged pellets of water. The sudden swap shocked Aether and the Mek was able to land a few solid hits on the man.
Getting fed up, Kujo stood to fight, but Ei held her back.
“Those are Electro-Charged attacks.” “I understand Shogun but-“ “No. We’d only make things worse.” With a huff, the tengu sat down, glaring at the Doctor who dared to chuckle.
The fight continued on for a few more minutes before Aether came out triumphant. As the Mek collapsed, a voice rung out from its destroyed body.
“Warn…ing…Intruders At….Inazuma Ent…rance…Access Not Given…Send Warning To GL…a…” Before finally collapsing. Aether stood overtop its corpse before turning to the others.
“Well… I suppose we can continue onward?” Maillardet questioned, only to be met with everyone else in the boat jumping out onto dry land, once more leaving him behind.
The man grumbled as he slowly pulled himself out the boat, soaking his boots and pants.
By the time he made it, everyone but Dottore had made their way into the hut, on their way down.
“After you.” The bluenette grinned, and Maillardet shuddered.
And then they all made their decent.

While the staircase itself was long and narrow, surrounded on all sides by pipes and cogs, what they found at the bottom was truly a sight; though they had been going down for a while.
A large open space - like a courtyard. There was artificial sunlight that streamed in from the panels on the ceiling that simulated a blue sky. False grass and trees swayed in a deceptive breeze. A ‘building’ sat before them with glass doors. It was grey and unassuming, the words “Aperture Science Laboratories” was in big lettering above the doors in big, illuminated lighting.
“Incredible…” Dottore mumbled as the group began to make their way down a path that led from the staircase to the building.
Just then, a sharp creaking noise was heard, and the staircase they had just traversed began to retract. It slowly made its way upward, lifting off the ground. Without flinching, Kujo summoned her bow and knocked an arrow, looking for a place to shoot. Finding a button near the staircase labeled ‘emergency shut down’, she shot, hitting it head on.
“Sudden Power Surge Detected At: Inazuma Docking Station. Rerouting Power Surge To Backup Power Supply’s. Emergency Dock Closing System: Initiated.”
And with that, the stairs shot up, effectively sealing the group inside.
“Sorry, Shogun…” was the only thing that left the now embarrassed Kujo’s lips.
“Worry not, I am sure we’ll find another exit eventually. Let us continue forth.” And onward they went.
Walking down the path, Dottore noted that there were hills far beyond the little building before them, fading off into the distance.
“I wonder how long this facility stretches out?..” He wondered aloud. Maillardet grumbled under his breath.
“Hopefully not that far…”
Entering the building they were met with something none of them - minus Dottore - had experienced.
Fluorescent lighting.
The light outside had at least been convincing, but the buzzing overhead and the slight flickering was enough to get under everyone’s - again, minus Dottore’s - skin.
“Whatever is this awful-“
“Welcome, gentleman, to Aperture Science. Humans, Vision Holders, War-Hero’s, Hybrids — you’re here because we want the best, and you’re it. Now, who’s ready to make some science?”
Weapons were immediately drawn from hearing the unusual voice.
“Who dared cut of The Shogun-“
“Now, you already met one another on the boat ride over, so let me introduce myself. I’m Cave Johnson. I own the place.”
Kujo growled.
“Well, Mr. “Cave Johnson”, I recommend you reveal yourself before we-“
“Mr. Johnson! I believe you’re forgetting something..? Or rather, someone..?”
All heads turned to the wall length screen that turned on with the new voice.
They were met with a cartoonish figure of a person, though their head was replaced by the grey, circle logo of Aperture. They were dressed in a white button up with a black vest overtop. With pure black dress pants and black dress shoes. A snow white lab coat over their shoulders and pure white gloves on their hands. The only hint of color or their person was an orange tie.
Dottore was the first to walk over, pressing a gloved hand to the screen.
“This is all absolutely incredible…” he spoke with a grin.
Nobody noticed how the figure flinched away.
“That eager voice you heard is the lovely (y/n), my assistant. They were added as a safety protocol in case some of you get lost. There are screens all of Aperture where they can keep a close eye on you, to make sure you stay in one piece, or at least as close to one piece as we can get you. Now, rest assured, they have transferred your honorarium to the charitable organization of your choice, isn’t that right, (y/n)?”
The figure on the screen - now known as (y/n) - nodded. Or… nodded as best a 2D model may be able to nod.
“That’s right, Mr. Johnson.”
“Since their addition, they have been the backbone of this facility. Pretty as a postcard too. Sorry fellas, they’re married. To science.”
They watched as you walked over on the “screens”, trotting all the way over to a pair of double doors. With one arm behind you, you held an open palm in the direction of said doors.
“Now, if you just follow them, they’ll take you right to the testing sites.”
With that small tidbit of information, the group reluctantly walked their way over to the doors. Pushing through them, they watched as you faded on the other side. Only for the walls of the hallway surrounding them to light up with bright white light, and for you to be on their right side, walking down the hall on your screens.
“There’s a thousand tests performed everyday here in our enrichment spheres. I can’t personally oversee every single one of them, so these pre-recorded messages’ll cover any questions you might have, and respond to any incidents that may occur in the course of your science adventure!”
You continued walking down the long hall, it slowly dipping further and further into the earth, but not to an alarming degree. A tune played throughout the hall, your head bobbing to the beat.
“Recorded..?” Ei asked. She turned to Kujo and Aether, who both shrugged. She then turned to Maillardet who muttered a quick ‘I’ve heard of it… that’s all…’ then looked away. Finally she looked towards Dottore.
“… Recordings are a rather new technology I’ve discovered. It’s a lost technique from long ago, the act of taking the waves of one’s voice down onto a physical form - such as a disk or a vinyl - and relaying those waves through a certain machine to recreate noises. I’ve been able to get my hands on a few, but to find one of such large scale, with moving images to boot! If I can get my hands on whatever is relaying these recordings…” His voice toned back when he realized he was walking alone.
Turning back he noticed that everyone had stopped behind him, confusion written all over their faces. He groaned, slapping a hand over his eyes before dragging it down the side of his face.
“It refers to something hearing noise, then relaying it at a later time when prompted.” And on they continued. It took a moment to catch up to you, as you had continued on your merry way while they had been stopped.
When they made it, Cave Johnson began speaking again.
“Your test assignments will vary, depending on the manner in which you have bent the world to your will.”
They finally made it to the end of the hall, with double doors greeting them. The doors opened automatically, opening to a large space, akin to an auditorium. Doors led off to different halls, each closed off by double doors that were identical to the ones they just came through. The room was surrounded by the Aperture logo, with small tables set up with small experiments on them. Walking past, Maillardet’s eyes glanced at a potato battery.
The most obvious thing in the room were the blue and yellow lines on the floor that each led to another room. You popped up again on a few overhead screens, though now you were sitting at a desk, typing away. You occasionally took a sip from a grey cup.
“Those of you helping us test the repulsion gel today, just follow the blue lines on the floor. Those of you who volunteered to be injected with praying mantis DNA I’ve got some good news and some bad news.”
Lights lit up over the blue lines and your figure changed to a looping recording of you walking on the lines and through the door.
“Injected with praying mantis DNA… why would you ever..?” Maillardet wondered with a grimace, while Dottore only smirked.
“I think me and this Mr. Johnson may have something in common. Anything in the name of science.” His grin made Aether shiver.
“Can we please just move on?” The blonde growled. He turned to the two females, only to find Kujo trying to open another door with Ei beside her.
“What are you doing..?” He asked. The General exhaled before turning back to the group.
“Trying to find another way out. Why are we even listening to this Cave Johnson person? We don’t know who he is, we don’t know where he is, we don’t even know what he looks like.” She walked over to another set of doors and tugged.
“She has a point.” Said Ei. “But in that same breath, we don’t know where we are either. The only thing pushing us forward is the voice of Mr. Johnson.” She placed a hand on the tengu’s shoulder.
“I feel it may be in our best interest to listen for now. When we find an exit, we’ll leave immediately.” Kujo sighed and muttered an apology before turning to the blue lines.
The loop of your walking through the doors still played above as everyone filled through the doors.
“Bad news, we’re postponing those tests indefinitely. Good news is we have a much better test for you: fighting an army of mantis men.”
“WHAT?!-“ shouted Maillardet. “WHY WOULD YOU EVER-“ A hand was slapped over his mouth as Dottore shushed him.
“I want to hear the rest of this.” he whispered.
“Pick up a rifle and follow the yellow line. You’ll know when the test starts.”
“Oh Mr. Johnson…” Dottore swooned.
“Only a rifle..?” Maillardet whimpered.
Kujo groaned. “Don’t worry about that now. We’re following the blue lines. Not the yellow ones.” Ei grinned slightly at the banter.
“They say great science is built on the shoulder of giants. Not here. At Aperture, we do all our science from scratch. No hand holding.”
“I really do like this man.” Dottore grinned.

Walking along the catwalks was a new feeling. Despite the no longer being really… anywhere… there were still screens nearby that depicted you walking along side the group.
Little to no effort was made to make any kind of conversation. Just the sounds of different kinds of shoes hitting the metal that made up the catwalks.
Though that all changed within a moment.
“Hello..? Hello??”
The sudden voice calling out made everyone come to a stop. Aether brandished his sword and turned to a pair of doors that led off the path they were being led down.
They waited with bated breath as the mechanical whirling of something moving towards them echoed in the open space. The walls themselves seemed to shift as whatever it was made its way to the door…
The doors burst open as a spherical robot with a bright blue eye pushed its way through the doors, pausing when it saw the group.
“Humans..? Humans?? Humans!! Wait… HUMANS?!?!” Its confound shock was extremely apparent, especially with the way it screamed out.
“WHAT ARE YOU DOING BACK HERE?!?! I haven’t seen a human since… since… her…” It’s tone grew somber within a second, but then it shook on its… bar??? Grip??? Dottore wanted to know.
“That doesn’t matter, what matters is that you guys are humans! Actual, genuine humans!” It rolled forward on its… whatever and faced them.
“… None of you have the portal gun though.. oh. Do you have those ‘vision’ things? Because I can assure you they won’t be of much help here-”
“And why is that?” Dottore jumped in.
“… Well first off all, it was incredibly rude to cut me off there, secondly, Aperture focused on the sciences that… well, had to do with those who lacked visions. Now don’t get me wrong, there were certainly tests for those who had them but uh… yeah these were mostly for those without.” It nodded.
“I see… now. Do you happen to have a name. Or would you tell us what you are?” The Doctor asked.
“A name..? Right! Oh gosh, I completely forgot about that. Wheatley’s the name and… yeah I don’t know where that was going really. And to answer the other question, I am what’s known as a core, but where are you lot off to?” He introduced. Though before the blue haired doctor could answer, a voice rung out.
“They’re off to test with the repulsion gel, Wheatley.” Your voice ring out, and there you were on the screen, facing them with a hand on your hip. The core seemed the freeze up at your voice, which didn’t go unnoticed.
“Oh! Uh… hey… (y/n)… hehe.” Wheatley seemed uncomfortable at now knowing of your presence, before something seemed to pop into his head.
“But… without the portal gun?”
“You don’t necessarily need a-“
“What’s a portal gun?” Maillardet questioned. You heaved a long sigh and Wheatley seemed to brighten up.
“We’ll only one of, if not the, best things Aperture has ever made, of course! It’s this nifty little gun that allows a person to go from one point, to another in just a snap!.. If I could snap I would to punctuate my point-“
“What he means-“ You interrupted, “Is that it is a special device that allows someone to manipulate space itself by opening up a doorway - otherwise known as a portal - and go from an unreachable point A to unreachable point B… or at the very least a vision-less ‘someone’. We weren’t able to test on those with a vision… or any non-humans with human intelligence; such as Oni from Inazuma or Adepti from Liyue. But even then our knowledge is… limited…”
Wheatley stared at you as you explained the Portal Gun in detail, before scanning the group.
“Oh! There is a vision-less with you!”
Maillardet swallowed nervously.
“Here, you won’t be at a disadvantage if you let us give you the Portal Gun! No need to feel like you may be falling behind… bloody hell you might even be able to go ahead and be advantaged in this situation!” The blue eyed bot explained.
“Wait wait wait… are either of you… alive or uh..” Aether stumbled over his words before you cut him off impatiently.
“Yes we are entirely sentient. Now Wheatley, we can’t make these decisions-“
“I don’t know why you’re complaining. You’ve been moping about for years! All because you ‘don’t have any human testers’ and ‘robots were starting to get the same results’ and ‘humans unpredictability made them unique’ and-“
“That’s enough, you idiot.” “HEY!-“ “Fine. Here’s how this will work, so be quiet and listen.”
Nobody moved.
“We will give your little friend access to The Portal Gun, you complete a couple tests for us, and we help you leave as fast as possible. Deal?”
“Well it doesn’t sound like we get much out of that deal besides our assured exit.” Ei stated, and you groaned.
“You’ll have access to technologies that those above this facility have not had access to for years. Plus, this will practically be free training. Now do we have a deal?” Your impatience was starting to grow clearer and clearer with each passing moment.
“Well-“ “YES!” Maillardet screamed. He didn’t care. This was his chance to truly make a name for himself. If he was able to get this ‘Portal Gun’ outside of the facility, the things he may be able to do with that tech…
Everyone looked at him with shock - though Dottore was more amused than anything - at how fast he agreed.
“Great! Wonderful even! Here, just follow me through here and we’ll get you right as rain, isn’t that right (y/n)?” Wheatley glanced at you as he turned on his rail. If you could, you would’ve rolled your eyes.
They watched as the screen you stood on blinked off, and Wheatley rolled away.
Maillardet followed behind and the others hesitated. Though after that moment of hesitation, they followed behind as well.

Instead of the grey halls and metal walls they had become accustom to, they were met with greenage and foliage on all sides.
Flora of all kinds blossomed around them, tress that reached higher than any of them could see. They all followed behind the humming core, until he suddenly stopped.
“Now, this is a bit awkward, but my rail system ends here. I’m gonna let go, but I need someone to catch me. Do we have any volunteers..?” Wheatley informed and asked. He looked around the group only to make eye contact with Dottore. Who was grinning. Sharp teeth fully on display.
“Uhm… anyone..?” The robot squeaked. Though the only one who moved closer was Dottore.
He sighed, then ‘steeled’ his nerves.
“Alright, I’ll let go on the count of three- NO, ONE! If I do it on three I’ll chicken out and… mmmm I’m talking to much aren’t I? I’m nervous because of the very real possibility that you may drop me. Not to say you look weak or anything, you actually look quite strong. Has anyone ever told you that? I mean, personally I would prefer to be strong if I had a body… On that note I wished they gave us hands. That’d be nice. Or a way to move while not on the rail systems. They can only go so many places and so far, you know? And some of them end in the oddest of places. I found one that ended over a bottomless pit. Isn’t that just insane? I mean-“
Dottore grumbled something under his breath before moving directly below the blabbering bot. Then he cleared his throat, and screamed:
“ONE!”
The high pitched scream Wheatley let out as he fell would’ve been able to convince anyone that he was actually a girl. Dottore’s knees nearly buckled under the sheer weight of the still screaming robot in his arms. After finding his footing, they all stared at Wheatley, who continued to scream for a solid minute before realizing he wasn’t falling anymore.
“AAAAAAAAAAaaaaaa…. Oh. You caught me. That’s a first- Anyway, directions! You’re going to want to follow the greyed out path through the green, and you’ll find a platform behind some broken walls and such. I’ll admit, when you get there it’s a bit of a jump, but I have faith in you lot!” He… grinned??? Well it was as close to a grin as a giant metal eyeball could get.
Everyone hummed in response and continued to trek on. Every now and then Dottore or Ei would ask about a type of flower or plant they saw, only for Wheatley to say he’s neither the flower nor plant core. Which led to Dottore asking about cores and Wheatley offering an explanation.
“Cores are… well to put it in perspective think of the basic parts of your personality. Of what makes you, you. Cores are basically that! We work as the pure forms of interests or emotions. Such as the flower core, who only ever talks about flowers. Or the anger core who… uhm… well. He screams? I guess?” Wheatley answered.
“So… what do you embody? Fear? Worry? Rambling?” Dottore asked, only for Wheatley to shout in objection.
“No! Absolutely not! None of those things! In fact, just for that, I don’t think I want to tell you.” He spun his eye around as to not look at the man carried him, causing Dottore to chuckle.
Maillardet suddenly shot ahead, causing everyone to quickly follow after. Wheatley seemed to understand why he shot ahead.
“There she is.” He muttered.
Just behind a wall, there it was.
Placed on a pedestal, vines and flowers grew all around in a mesmerizing pattern. A small hole in the roof let a halo of light fall onto the midsized device.
It was sleek. It was shiny. White and black mixed together in a perfect blend.
“Isn’t it beautiful? The pride of Aperture. What nearly all of our resources went into after its conception.” Wheatley mused. His focus was entirely on the gun in front of them.
Though his previous statement was true, there was a rather large drop from the platform they were on and the platform the Gun was on.
“You can drop me here.” The core suddenly spoke. Dottore looked down with a bit of a scowl.
“Weren’t you the one who screamed like a baby at falling only about four feet?” He asked. Wheatley scoffed.
“That was the make sure you’d catch me… anyway, I know I can survive this fall. I’ve survived worse. Just drop me and then jump down. It’ll be easier that way.” Wheatley’s voice suddenly got very serious. it lost its lively charm and became something more robotic… which was ironic.
The robot started acting more robotic, and they felt uncomfortable about it.
Dottore scoffed, then dropped the core without care. Though this time, Wheatley didn’t make a sound, just a small grunt when he hit the floor.
‘It can physically feel..?’ Dottore wondered.
Then one by one, they jumped down - Aether catching Maillardet - and began their walk over to the Gun after Dottore picked up Wheatley again.
“Hold on.” The blue eyes core suddenly spoke. His eye turned to a wall, and the panels suddenly shifted. A small control panel pushed itself out, presenting itself to the group.
“Plug me in there. I can make sure nothing hostile happens to pass by.” He explained.
“Hostile..?” Ei questioned and Wheatley, suddenly seeming very tired, sighed.
“Yes. Hostile. Just- Don’t worry about it, okay? I promise nothing will happen.” He glanced back at the group with a drooped eye. Dottore placed him on the panel.
Electricity shot out for a moment, then the core settled. He looked back, then without a word, got pulled back into the wall.
“It looks… so mesmerizing…” Maillardet whispered. He was the closest to the Gun. He hesitantly reached a hand out and touched it. Then, he picked it up and got a grip on it.
“I can’t say I’ve ever shot a gun but…” The mechanic pointed the gun at a wall, away from everyone as they watched.
He shot the gun.
And everyone watched as a pure black circle surrounded by blue latched onto the wall.
Everyone stood in shock.
He hesitantly shot right next to the blue and was met with a circle of orange.
Though now he could see through both.
And they reflected the room back to him.
He walked closer and looked through one and saw everyone looking back at him in silent disbelief.
He stuck a hand through the blue portal.
And watched his hand exit the orange.
He fell back in shock and everyone ran closer. They gathered around him, awe and shock written all across their faces.
“This is…” Dottore spoke.
“… A revelation.” Maillardet finished.
“Truly, isn’t it?”
The third voice broke everyone out of their stupor. They watched as the walls fluctuated and moved, opening the room up into another.
It was dark - pitch black, save for the screen that had only your figure on it. You stared at the group before moving your attention to the Portal Gun.
“Such an expensive piece of equipment it is… hopefully you understand what I’m about to do is only in your best interests.”
The screens blipped off, and a hole in the center of the room opened, a disgusting orange red glow emanating from it.
“Preparations Made. Systems Online. Ready For Emergency Long Fall Boot Insertion. Is Moderator Ready?”
“Yes.” Your voice rung out.
“Participant Ready?”
Before anyone could speak, you spoke for them.
“Participant is ready.”
“All Parties Set. Commencing Insertion.”
GORE WARNING! CONTINUE WITH CAUTION!
Metal wires suddenly shot out from the floor, causing everyone who could to summon weapons. Unfortunately, you had a plan for that.
Your wires shot out and gripped the visions on everyone who had one, but tightly wrapped around both Aether and Ei, quickly picking them up and throwing them into walls.
“Stand down, don’t make this harder than it needs to be.” You warned.
The wires quickly wrapped around the ankles of Maillardet, dragging him forward and making him drop the Gun. Kujo rushed forward but a wire wrapped around her and threw her to the ground.
“Last. Warning.” You said.
They were forced to watch as the vision less man was strapped down to a table that came up front the pit by those wires. Buzz saws and bone saws and needles and others rose from the hole in the ground.
Wires tore at his pants and ripped the boots off his struggling body.
“This is going to hurt. A lot. I don’t personally believe in anesthesia, but feel free to pass out.”
And with that, the first saw turned on and immediately buried itself in his leg, blood spraying and his screams ripping themselves out his throat. You could practically hear the tendons snapping as he cried.
It went until it hit bone, where you moved the buzz saw out of his leg with a sickening *squelch*, pressing the saw into his bone and quickly sawing through.
Everyone - of course, minus Dottore - did their best to look away from the scene, but Kujo couldn’t help the whimper that left her lips when some blood spattered on her face.
After bone, the buzz saw when back to work until the odd cut was completed. It was curved, leaving the front of the lower leg untouched, but the back - up to the upper caff - was completely removed, as well as the ankle and leg. Then the process started all over on the next leg.
“Did you know there was once a surgery with a 300% mortality rate? It was an amputation, much like this one, preformed by a Mr. Robert Liston over two hundred years ago. What happened was his patient died of an infection, his assistant also died of an infection after his fingers had been amputated accidentally, and a witness of shock after the knife came too close. Isn’t that interesting?”
Your words echoed through the chamber over the cries of Maillardet who just lost his other lower leg.
The two amputated leg parts were picked up by robotic claws which threw them into the hole below. Then, two odd looking boots were raised from said hole.
The class took the boots apart and began to assemble them on the man’s body. They were a solid white with black base and a weird black wire at rhetorical back.
The screams grew worse - then silent after Maillardet finally passed out due to pain - as the black wire - which was connected to the black base - was drilled into what was left of the bone. The wire was then shifted, then grafted into the muscle and bone.
The white part was reattached to the black, the straps tightening against what was left of the skin, before it was literally melted onto the boot.
The smell of burning skin, bones and blood filled the room.
“See, wasn’t that easy?”
His body was thrown off the table and next to the Gun.
The wires let go of everyone, and Aether landed on the floor, passed out.
GORE OVER GORE OVER! YOU’RE SAFE!
“Why aren’t my abilities working..?” Ei wondered aloud while helping Kujo to her feet.
“You think I wouldn’t recognize a God? News Travels, Beel. We have a few protocols in case a God were to ever wonder into our wonderful facility, but I don’t think I feel like telling you exactly what’s happening to you.”
She quickly looked up above the still open hole in the ground with a glare.
“Stop being a coward and reveal yourself.” She hissed.
“If you insist.”
The lights suddenly turned on, blinding all who were awake.
Dottore stared on in wonder at your body. It resembled that of a human who was suspended from the ceiling. Legs pressed together and arms bound behind them with their back to the floor.
It was the most beautiful piece of machinery he had ever seen.
You slowly turned to face them, the orange light of your eye glaring down at them.
“Let me formally introduce myself, this time without the assistance of a recording. This body you see before you has been dubbed the “Genetic Lifeform and Disk Operating System”. GLaDOS for short. Though if you prefer it, (y/n) is not off the table.”
“Where… is Wheatley?” Kujo suddenly asked.
“I figured you wouldn’t like him. How shocking you ask. But if you must know… You’re free to reveal yourself.” You mussed.
Silently, the core rode in on a rail in the background on a catwalk. He looks away.
“You’ve payed me back enough, moron. You no longer hold a debt.”
The room was silent.
He had… he betrayed them?
People he didn’t even know?
“… I still feel the itch, you know..?”
Your large head turned to face the blue eyed core.
“I know I’m not the smartest… but I still feel
The itch. It’s like it’s at the back of my brain… and you know what needs to be done to fix it. Please allow me to stay. I won’t… I won’t muck up as bad as I did last time.” His voice was barely above a whisper.
He felt bad and everyone could tell, but you knew that the need to test was able to push back all other thoughts. All other emotions.
It changed people. No matter if they were made of flesh or metal.
And addiction is an addiction. No matter what.
It wouldn’t go away with a bit of cold turkey quitting. That always came with side effects.
The silence was deafening.
If you could smile, you would.
“If you want. I may have final say, but my control over the cores is loose.”
Your gaze turned back to the group who had huddled themselves in a corner, glaring at you.
But you noticed Dottore was staring with less hatred and more… curiosity.
Like a child.
“You understand why I did what I did, don’t you?” Your voice was cold, yet still somehow held some kind of twisted warmth.
“It was to make him stronger. He can survive tests without a hitch now. As soon as he recovers, we’ll be able to continue testing without a hitch. You’ll each be given a relaxation pod while we wait. I’ll be holding up the end of my deal.” You turned away and focused on the screens behind you.
“What… are you..?” Ei asked.
“I thought I answered that question. I am GLaDOS. I am (y/n). I am the current head of Aperture Science.” You turned back to the group.
“And as long as you’re here under my care, I can assure you that we’ll have loads of fun.“
Everyone who was awake was suddenly knocked out by the gas you had been silently filled the room with.
It was time for testing to begin.
I hope this is good! Ima be honest, don’t know if any of the explanations for anything that was explained make sense lol. Also, don’t forget to tell me if you were okay with the whole (y/n) thing! ૮꒰ྀི∩´ ᵕ `∩꒱ྀིა
This is just in case nothing more gets requested: (y/n)’s transformation went like this: human (Cave’s assistant), mascot (first take on GLaDOS-like system, success), GLaDOS (Cave asked for them [they retained their human personality and memories as the mascot] to be GLaDOS while he was dying, like in the cannon)
Now I’m gonna spend some time on Requests! After which I’ll start on Mora!Creator! Again, I hope you enjoyed! ૮꒰˶ᵔ ᗜ ᵔ˶꒱ა˖⁺‧₊˚
And don’t be scared to request any Automation Reader (Executioner or GLaDOS) okay bye-

Oh god! Oh no! Emergency! Hold on!
CAROLINE
Here's Mr. Wheatley with reports, like always I guess, some test-subjects just died Making science, bending time Since the day we dug that mine In the state of Michigan
WHEATLEY
Good Morning, Miss Caroline!
CAROLINE
Good morning, Wheatley.
WHEATLEY
Where are you off to?
CAROLINE
The turret production-line. Mr. Johnson wanted me to count How many bullets per bullet it takes to…
WHEATLEY
Y-Yeah, that's great. Jerry! Down the lift shaft! Hurry up, mate!
MALE SCIENTISTS
Look there she goes Miss Caroline, she's gorgeous Smart and collected, can't you tell?
LADY SCIENTISTS
But she's just some poor assistant!
RICK/ADVENTURE CORE
But her body's like a pistol

She's a heart and soul of Aperture for sure!
MALE SCIENTIST 1
Hello!
LADY SCIENTIST 1
Good day!
MALE SCIENTIST 1
How's hard-light bridges?
LADY SCIENTIST 2
Hello!

We're forwarding the cause of science with our lives!
CAVE JOHNSON
Ah, Caroline!
CAROLINE
Good morning, Mr. Johnson, sir! I was just about to go the bullet expertise…
CAVE JOHNSON
Good, and what's about compensation vouchers? Are they ready?
CAROLINE
Yes, they're on your desk!
CAVE JOHNSON
Give them to the reception.
CAROLINE
Right! Of course!
CAVE JOHNSON
And tell the lab boys we need gel pipes In spheres from 12 to 20 up and running by Tuesday

Will be done, sir! Is there something else I can do for you?
CAVE JOHNSON
Keep doing what you're doing. Oh, and remind the repair wing guy that we still have that leak in the west hall.
CAROLINE
Yes, sir.
CAVE JOHNSON
Thank you, Caroline. You're a gem.
CAROLINE
Oh, Mr. Johnson.
SCIENTISTS
Look there she goes, the essence of our science! (So close to Mr. Johnson, too) With her long thick brown hair And red scarf around her neck What a puzzle this Miss Caroline must be!
CAROLINE
Oh, isn't this a triumph? All the points of data ready to compute Here's in Aperture Science We can laugh at physics and just hope We won't get sued!

GREG
Wow! It seems your pep talk got them all inspired, Mr. Johnson! You're the greatest boss in the whole world!
CAVE JOHNSON
I know.
GREG
But there are still some problems with the GLaDOS project. We don't have a required intellect substance.
CAVE JOHNSON
It's true, Greg. But I've got my sights set on one particular assistant.
GREG
You mean Miss Caroline?!
CAVE JOHNSON
She's the one. The only woman whom I can trust to run the facility the way I used to.
GREG
But she's -
CAVE JOHNSON
The most loyal assistant I had.
GREG
I know, but -
CAVE JOHNSON
That makes her the best. And don't Aperture Science deserve the best?
GREG
Of course it does!
CAVE JOHNSON
Right from the moment when I met her, saw her I said she is the one we need! She's the energy, no resting And has passion for the testing So I'm making plans to put her in the charge!

8 Doug Rattmann or 3 Arlen Askew pls. OR a character you haven't wrote at all for 8
I know the object of this was to do microfiction but GUESS WHAT? You get a whole-ass short story! Congratulations! 🎉🌈
I picked 8 - Sunbathing 🌞, ft. Portal's Doug Rattmann et al.
Share and Enjoy!
---🌟---
Not to bring more math into this, but most folks can agree that 50,000 is a nice, round number, one that reasonably applies to a plenty of arbitrary amounts, discrete or continuous. But the further the three-man Aperture Science Surface Expedition Crew sallied forth towards their intended destination, the more they began to wonder just how applicable that particular number was to the particulars of Time. Specifically, a particular time, a particular date, a particular year with too many digits to display properly on most digital watches.
People just didn’t plan that far ahead. Even Aperture Science, peppering the terms and conditions for every new GLaDOS build with very authoritative reassurances of her longevity, phrases like in perpetuity and ad infinitum and ‘til the cows come home, failed to foresee any situation at all whatsoever where the cows actually would come home, and GLaDOS would need to be able to print out a year with more than four digits.
Much less a century with three. Life In General was feeling very much like a high school basketball scoreboard right now.
“So yeah, this is it. Michigan of the 522nd century. I guess,” said Doug, rustling up as much enthusiasm as he could on half a jam sandwich and a cup of Apercaff*. He dozily bunted the dull rubber-capped toe of his sneaker against the broad side of yet another empty pop can, sending it clattering down the sun-bleached remains of W. Umbrage Avenue.
The trio had just hiked across the prairie in front of the Umbrage Dollar Chimp discount store. It used to be a parking lot, lined curb to curb with cars, scooters both legal and unlicensed, pick-em-up trucks and refugee shopping carts from foreign supermarkets. Now it was a scabrous plain of depreciated asphalt, streaked with lush braids of ragweed and dandelions gone to seed, Mother Nature’s repo men. But it wouldn't feel like a proper nature hike until Chell eagle-eyed a row of vending machines by the store entrance, still stuffed with gum, trinkets, rubber bouncy balls, neon slime, nickels, dimes, quarters…
No matter how far they’d stray into the future, it was nice to know that the price of a Homie remained unaffected by inflation.
Back at present—whenever that was—ATLAS squibbled inquisitively as he trailed the bouncing pop can, the way he had for the last dozen or so pop cans that met a similar fate at the end of Doug’s habit-possessed foot.
“Right. Hate to say it. But I think one of us has to say it and I’m already running my mouth so it may as well be me,” he continued, resignedly. “This place looks a lot like the Michigan of the 20th century. Doesn’t it?”
Chell shuffled along somewhere around his 6 or 7 o’ clock, paced and pensive. Doug was usually content in his silence, but when he was on a ramble he did it like an old pro. She chafed her hands, then stuffed them back into the pockets of her woolen wrap skirt—whether or not the world outside was ready for the maxi-skirt to make a comeback, it was happening today. And today been a pleasant enough day for it—for sunbathing, though such pretty blue skies could be misleading. The crisp breeze blowing through them unabated made her incrementally more grateful for the radiant heat of the Aperture Science Handheld Portal Device strapped to her back.
Of course, she said nothing.
Doug gently chattered on.
“Then again, I don’t know what I was expecting, really. Eh? Ha ha. Fewer beer cans, more dinosaurs?”
Only the distant complaint of a migrating loon broke the ensuing silence.
“Giant chickens?” Doug tried again, mumbling to himself. “They’re basically dinosaurs, and y’know at least one of ours had to’ve gotten out…”
Chell shrugged it off and resumed her silent inventory of the information at hand: Umbrage, MI was a loosely incorporated community established approximately six miles due north of the Aperture Science main facility, commemorated by a tiny red dot on the old gas station map of Michigan’s Upper Peninsula that ATLAS kept in his cranial storage compartment.
To Chell, who grew up elsewhere, it was just another Dad Ramble: Whenever they passed through the place (always en route to anywhere elsewhere) he would commence a Dad Ramble about the mid-1970’s, and how the big heads at Aperture founded this small town as one of many solutions to a serious problem with employee punctuality. With necessity as a mother figure, Aperture’s experimental urban planning department invented Umbrage to give their fellow employees and test subjects a place to live, a quick commute and a Dollar Chimp for all their off-brand scented toilet paper needs. Therefore, it was reasonable to assume that the downfall of the Aperture facility would ultimately eliminate the need for such a place.
But something wasn’t right.
Something wasn’t right. Something wasn’t right and Chell became more and more dissatisfied with each attempt to emphasize the correct word in that sentence. Hoping it would quell her frustration, she focused her observations to the things that were right, or at least not wrong.
Spectacular weather. Cool, if slightly warmer than anticipated. Unbroken blue skies as far as anyone could see. Fresh air, so new to everyone’s lungs that it felt like a lovely heartburn. Normal readings on the Geiger counter.
Birds. Insects. Rubbish.
No people. No vehicles. No misplaced shopping carts. Wrong, getting wronger.
No bodies. Back to not wrong. For now.
From the onset of this sojourn she occasionally spied the same squint of scrutiny in Doug’s left eye. Until now he would keep his own questions to himself:
“So what year d’you think it is, eh?” He stuffed his hands into the pockets of his snorkel parka and looked skyward, sighing.
ATLAS parsed the question, but only whmm’d in response as his central optic dilated. They didn’t ask questions like that on Jeopardy!.
“GLaDOS says it’s been fifty thousand years, but I think even fifty is a stretch.”
Chell cleared her throat, mounting a partial retreat into the comfort of her knit scarf before speaking. “I agree with that hypothesis. Guess. Whatever.”
“Eh—?!” Doug snapped a glance backwards, startled to the point of stumbling. To date, the only words she’d ever spoken to him stayed mostly along the lines of Yeah, Nope, Screw it and Dibs on your jam sandwich. And most of these happened this morning.
“Y-you do?”
“Sort of. I mean I think you’re right,” she pressed, carefully. “But if you are right, something’s wrong. I dunno.”
“No no, that’s the bunny.” Doug nodded, uneasily. “Say GLaDOS is right and we spent fifty thousand years in stasis like she said. Sure, all the people would be gone by now. But then everything else would be gone too. None of this would be here at all, eh?”
Waterfalls could erode sheer mountainsides into lakes if given fifty thousand years to do it. Jungles could morph into deserts and vice versa. Rising oceans could carve new coastlines, effect mass extinctions, birth new civilizations and drastically reduce the cost of certain beachfront properties. In fifty thousand years, days would be longer by one SI second and mankind would’ve likely done a runner, especially if faced with the prospect of spending a lifetime of one extra seconds in Umbrage, MI.
All of that, and the Aperture Science Surface Expedition Crew was still expected to believe that the price of a Homie wouldn’t have fluctuated at least a little bit.
“Yeah, right on. But this place makes it look like it’s only been a couple decades at the most,” Chell went on. “Like, it’s totally abandoned but there’s no graffiti, no busted-out windows or anything like that. It’s like everyone just left all of a sudden. Maybe they were beamed into outer space, who knows.”
Somewhere off to an unseen side, ATLAS tottered about the curb obliviously, kneeling to harvest another pop can out of another filthy storm drain.
“Well, the aliens must’ve taken all the vehicles with 'em because I haven’t seen so much as a busted shopping cart in a ditch since we started,” rounded Doug. “I mean, look at the roads.”
“They look like your vegetable garden.”
“You could grow zucchini in these cracks.”
Chell stared at him. “Please don’t.”
“Whmm,” said Atlas, approaching the duo from behind. The mechanoid had been stuck in this activity loop since their departure, scuttling about the scrub, picking up and storing any bits of rubbish that happened to pique his interest. For a mechanoid who had never seen the greater world beyond the agency of management rails and reassembly machines, there was an awful lot to take in.
Doug turned and observed him for a moment; the way the lid to Atlas's rear storage trunk bulged like that of an overfull kitchen trash can did not escape his keen eye.
Oh well—no need to pry any further. He knew this problem would resolve itself eventually. Doug let it go with a light sigh. “Eh? What's that you got there?”
Atlas held his treasure up to the glory of the midday sun. It was another aluminum soda can, the same color as the sky, with its brand name emblazoned across its breadth in conspicuous white block letters:
“Dr. Breen's Private Reserve,” Doug read, quizzically, quickly correcting himself, “No! Dr>Breen's Private Reserve. Huh.”
Chell glared at him. How did he make that sound with his mouth?
“Whmm…?” Atlas probably asked the same question.
“Dr. Breen. Dr. Breen…” Doug repeated the name to himself, quietly, hoping to hit upon some vein of forgotten data.
“Like, Dr. Wallace Breen. Right?” tried Chell.
“Oh yeah. You think so? Sounds familiar.”
“Yeah, I know that name,” she said. “Why do I know that name?”
The two lapsed into synchronized silence, impenetrable but profound, and cold like the light of a long-dead sun, billions of miles away, at last piercing the crust of the sky, only to be hidden by fathomless daylight.

*Apercaff, “Aperture Science's most digestible instant coffee substitute”. In fact, the ad campaign featured contemporary superstar-of-a-sort Pia Zadora dressed in the livery of an Apercaff can, shimmying around the Aperture premises' many employee break rooms, crooning I'll be your substitute, whenever you need me... While excising a nice chunk—tens of hundreds of dollars—from the company's seemingly bottomless advertising budget, this advertisement remained an Aperture Laboratories Closed Circuit Access Television exclusive. Miss Zadora herself continues to deny any involvement with the company.

Top five ocs of yours-
Hmmmmmm God this is hard I'll just count TFA ocs for now so I'll say
5. Paskal I just love how much of a freak they are they're fun to draw and to write...
4. Dess he's such a sopping wet pathetic man who pretends to be All That he's really fun to write and to draw for me I need to talk abt him more tbh
3. Whirlpool! I won't elaborate too much more she's just fun to write and I need to write/draw her more I miss her! EDIT: WAIT HER AND NIGHTALON ARE TIED FOR THIS ACTUALLY. Night is so fun to write they are so flawed and insane and in love with Radio!! I think they are a great character esp in terms of representing the struggles of teenagers like them <3
2. Might get obliterated and or murdered for this but Thunderstrike for also being Very fun to write. He's just such a good person and his charming, witty dialogue is loads of fun to write. He's a very complex character and I love that.
1. It's Radio who else could it be. It's miss Rewritten Breezepelt mixed with some flavors of GLaDOS and her story is one of my favorites I've made. The way her delusions and reality blend in her mind is fun to write. Her insecurities making her already bad relationship with her parents 10x worse in her head is fun!
I think she's a well written character as someone who both suffers heavily from delusions of everyone hating her but at the same time is in fact very lonely and not Entirely making up the distance between her and her parents. She's also just fun for how many Different stories she can fit. Tragedy, with a sad ending as she spirals beyond help, Hope as she climbs her way up from rock bottom. Or she claws her way up from rock bottom to become the villian. She's just lots of fun for me and I'm glad others seem to like her too!

In my defense, I have only experienced fanon Fintan. Anyway Fintan is like one step away from being a scientist, like GLaDOS from portal (Big experiment robot lady) or Dr. Halsey from Halo (She took babies from families and genetically modified them into 7' killing machines), both of these people are very passionate but in a cold, detached way. I guess that's the difference, Fintan isn't cold and detached. He's hot and calculating and manipulative and an attention whore. The other two don't care for the attention they get, don't care for what the public views them as. They are passionate and willing to give themselves up for their experiments, but it's a different vibe to Fintan Pyren. Anyway, I do reccomend watching Halo 4: Prologue, it kind of demonstrates what I mean. You can see that she's passionate in her creations, sure in her abilities. She's confident and bold and knows what she has to do to achieve her goal.
I don't expect you to have played Halo or know anything about it, I only bring it up cuz I watch my dad play it sometimes and there's been another Halo adaption into a TV show. There are many things wrong with it, but it's a good show. It's just small errors like Master Chief having emotions and all that, and Dr. Halsey not being a cold and calculating scientist, I do reccomend watching on that's on Youtube. Hold on lemme grab a link - Here. It's a good watch even if you don't know anything about Halo
Have a nice day!
-Heathen
Heathen! Hello! You do have a good defense for your position, as as far as I know you still have not read anything at all. Or maybe you've read a book. Or maybe you knew someone who read a book. Either way you still mainly see fanon everything, so entirely understandable.
I have played neither Portal nor Halo a significant enough amount to have any context or understanding of the Lore, so I will take your word on both! But based on what you're saying, I agree. Fintan isn't cold and detached that's like a huge part of who he is! he passion is heated and it consumes him from the inside out! He does care about how he's perceived, to an extent. Because so much of what he does he thinks is for the world he wants the world to see, and even if they don't recognize his brilliance now one day they'll understand.
I watched the prologue, as you suggested, and I do think I get what you mean! It's a calculated sort of passion. She knows exactly what her creation things (spartans) did and knows exactly what she thinks of them. She knows how she sees herself and exactly what needs to be done next to continue realizing her vision. It's dangerous in a quiet way. She feels like the kind of person whose five steps ahead but doesn't let anyone know, and those fighting against her are constantly trying to put together clues and catch up but don't know if they'll be able to outsmart someone already so put together and controlled. But then again I only watched like a 3 minute clip of one conversation she had so who knows!!
i think I played a few hours worth of Halo something once? i don't remember which one it was. Just looked up the different games and my best guess is Halo Reach. Wasn't enough to know anything about the lore, it was just "oh look we have access to another shooter game, guess we'll check it out" when my dad and I played.
Unfortunately I cannot watch the link you provided as it's restricted in my country, but! Thank you for the recommendation and if I can find it on another site then perhaps I will check it out sometime, despite the flaws. I make no promises tho because I watch movies almost Never, but I do appreciate the sentiment!!

Aside or before Sun, did/do you have any other crushes?
Tumblr media
WELL...
Not a lot tbh??? At least not many that I remember...
I was really into Quasimodo from the disney ver as a kid cause 1. Heart of gold, will not judge you despite all your flaws since he understands how that feels, 2. HE'S STRONG AS FUCK, HE LIFTED A FULL GROWN MAN IN ARMOR LIKE A FOOT IN THE AIR WITH ONE HAND LIKE HOLY SHIT, 3. he's athletic as hell, can parkour around the tops of buildings, 4. He's super good at carving woodworks, will share his passions with u in the most adorable and wholesome way possible, 5. Even tho Esmerelda wasn't into him he took the rejection like a Chad and didn't try to convince her otherwise (even tho she has no taste, he's obviously the best boi)
Lesley and Kidman from The Evil Within. Don't ask me why, I have no clue (for Lesley I'm guessing it's cause my affinity for weird high-pitch-voice insane men was starting to manifest, for kidman????? she hot and mysterious and strong, what more can I say?)
Alara from The Orville. Cute and sweet, heart of gold and can bend a solid metal bar in half without flinching. Need I say more
Genos from One Punch Man cause I mean come on. Beware, this very post contains plenty of parody, seriousness and silly arguments not meant for the passive folks out there. Get curious, learn and stay wholesome if you wish to continue.
Share God's Word:
Tumblr media
Yes, they got the Borealis. But they have yet to survive the astronomical degenerate era's most powerful lady, Klara Ker. The Combine psychic convenant assembly may believe to be strong but in truth they have nothing like her as she has quite the timeless power level and wrath upon the decadents to a Goddess from ages long ago and long after.
My take on HL3/Portal ~3 shall be one of such a toybox pawn unlikely yet wholesome twist, never gonna get canon of obvious stylistic choices by Valve and the usual community sections BUT like I dreamt with X-Men and several other fandoms in my youth, this one shall be a legendary battle between a Dyson Sphere Civ and a chronokinetic society from eras far ahead and aside from the modern Milky Way.
Seriously, I do have enough of that entire nihilist cringe dark tones in modern fiction (ever since Woodrow Wilson has put a end to the political vast massive wholesome of Teddy and Taft that is), I am here to bring in some FLOSS flavor and defeat the wicked with the power of a austistic spiritual transfem foresight.
Not exactly on a crusade here. My ACTUAL crusade is one to brighten a thousand worlds with a few superexponential numbers of wholesome into the lives of many. It's only half a joke, just like how Valve is half a life away from the truth as their Meta ain't one of empowerment but quite the opposite. At least Portal 2 had, with or without the DLC, a start of a tad bit wholesome but mostly coming-of-age turn for GLaDOS.
I simply hope to bring that dark setting to a light way brighter while still conserving humane (still kinda low key stupid and unruly) momentum from the days before Woodrow Wilson scapped ours.
I hope my wide open mind does help you, as always, to take care of yourself and the community around. As Valve feels like it has failed to deliver a constructively bright mood, yes even with the Alyx entry, I do recomment that you shall make your own fork / derivation of your very own from Valve's work instead as their respected commitment to unyielding quality has cost them souls, inclusivity and most importantly very long-term modding cares.
I make strong arguments so ya sorry, as a aspie that does research but does not communicate very well it is almost unavoidable, I simply hope you can salvage something constructive out of any argument I make. This ain't a witch-hunt, more like a call to DIY-ing and FLOSS-ing media beyond the restraints of the oppressive context of today. I sincerely hope that we can build something wholesome together out of all that baggage so to fight back the mundane horrors of our Earth iin 2021.
I do have one or two backup plans just in case, but I do need to shift my gender first before going full reality shift. Wherever that is in 2021, Canada, USA or even Europe feels like a vast Wilsonist mess that I want to quit eventually before it goes so dark that I can't live comfy anymore or worse, full black with eldrtich political abomniations ruling over our minds.
Sincerely yours to take and build from, Klara Ker, as a soul, from 16^12+2021 years into the Red Dwarves-only future, hoping to bring the wholesome back before it gets all blacked out into a long long dark dark age of oppression and violence similar to several ages before yours.

GLaDOS and What She can Potentially Tell Us About Chell’s Character
((So decided to make an analysis, finally, after reading way too much into GLaDOS’s voicelines.
When it comes to blank slate videogame protagonist characters, admittedly I’m the type to analyze them based off of what you can and can’t do in the games they’re in without a consequence of some sort [like death or contradicting one of the few previously established character traits] as well as how the other characters react and interact with them. It’s really all I get to go off of.
Now, I know GLaDOS is not the most reliable resource to analyze Chell off of, considering not only her bitterness and bias, but also that not all of her observations of Chell are accurate. After all, Chell is not mute, just refuses to speak out of spite.
However, she’s the only character we have that has the most insight into Chell as a person, and with things that she’s either exaggerating or straight up lying about, we can distinguish that by what can be observed of her in the gameplay. Plus, with some of them, I doubt she’d bring them up if there was no reason for her to believe bringing them up wouldn’t hold some truth or exploit some sort of insecurity. She’s the calculating type that aims for weak points she sees rather than just throwing shit out and hoping she gets lucky, you know?
“But didn’t she write the files? Or lie about what was in them?”
She may have edited and/or exaggerated them, but I think at least some of the things were already there before she got her hands on them. After all, there’s this. Which would imply that the scientists themselves would have made those comments in the files.
And considering how uncooperative Chell was with her application process [refusingto even speak to HR, answering essay questions with nonsense in bianary] then they’d probably thought rather bitterly of her, and it would reflect in the file.
[Side note, don’t really agree with the Half Life Wiki suggesting that Chell signed up for this {at least, willingly} when everything in the Lab Rat comic pointed to the opposite being the case.]
Now with all that out of the way, let’s finally have a look at some of GLaDOS’s comments about Chell and how they reflect her based off of what we the players see of her in game or what we can infer her reactions are to them by how GLaDOS approaches them.
The Fat Jokes
"Congratulations. Not on the test."
"Most people emerge from suspension terribly undernourished. I want to congratulate you on beating the odds and somehow managing to pack on a few pounds."  - Portal 2, SIngle Player Campaign, Chapter 2, Test Chamber 3
"Hmm. This Plate must not be calibrated to someone of your... generous... ness. I'll add a few zeros to the maximum weight."
"You seem to have defeated its load-bearing capacity. Well done. I'll just lower the ceiling."
"Look at you. Sailing through the air majestically. Like an eagle. Piloting a blimp." -Portal 2, Single Player Campaign, Chapter 3, Test Chamber 9
“What, but Chell’s not fat-”
Yeah, I know, this is just more about what Chell’s potential response to it is.
And telling by how this tends to be one of GLaDOS’s go to's, it does seem like it’s something that at least annoys her.
Then again, though, it could also be just GLaDOS trying to poke at the most common insecurity among women. And I think GLaDOS even admitted to that being the reason she goes to it so often here and here. So it’s really up to interpretation.
Though personally, I think it’s something that annoys Chell but at the same time it doesn’t really get to her, if it makes sense? Just a nuisance at worst.
Comments on Chell’s Parentage [or Lack Thereof]
"It also says you were adopted. So that's funny, too." -Portal, Boss Battle, After Curiosity Core is destroyed
"Don't let that 'horrible person' thing discourage you. It's just a data point. If it makes you feel any better, science has now validated your birth mother's decision to abandon you on a doorstep." -Portal 2, Single Player Campaign, Chapter 2, Test Chamber 3
"I'm going through the list of test subjects in cryogenic storage. I managed to find two with your last name. A man and a woman. So that's interesting. It's a small world." - Portal 2, Single Player Campaign, Chapter 3, Test Chamber 15
"I have a surprise waiting for you after this next test. Telling you would spoil the surprise, so I'll just give you a hint: It involves meeting two people you haven't seen in a long time." -Portal 2, Single Player Campaign, Chapter 3, Test Chamber 16
"I'll bet you think I forgot about your surprise. I didn't. In fact, we're headed to your surprise right now. After all these years. I'm getting choked up just thinking about it." -Portal 2, Single Player Campaign, Chapter 3, Test Chamber 17
Surprisingly the orphan/adopted jokes are actually fewer than I remember. With how Wheatley tried to imitate GLaDOS by throwing around “fatty” and making a comment about Chell being adopted that one time, I kinda thought that it was almost as common as the fat jokes.
Though, to be fair, the adoption comment goes back as far as the end of Portal, and GLaDOS actually did a whole bit where she pretended that she found Chell’s parents. So it left more of an impression on me than the fat comments actually did.
As for whether or not it’s true? It’s most likely. After all, the adoption/orphan comments are protocol for specifically dealing with orphan test subjects. Also in general Aperture seems to have it out for orphans in that test subject type listing thing. [credit to the-wheatley-core go check them out cowards-]
"But Chell’s a daughter from bring your daughter to work d-"
The file said she’s adopted, so ye. Adopted daughter is still daughter.
Furthermore, the Bring your Daughter to Work Day incident probably orphaned Chell all over again, so she’s like. An orphan twice over.
As for Chell’s feelings on this? I think from what GLaDOS says here that Chell probably did not take the surprise very well. Granted, she probably wasn’t expecting it to actually be anything good. She probably didn’t have her hopes up. But she was probably seriously pissed that GLaDOS went through all that trouble just for it to lead to... nothing. All for the sake of mocking her.
Further implied by GLaDOS rubbing salt in the wounds.
I think this would mean that this is a bit of a sore spot for Chell in general and that this was one of the few moments that genuinely upset her.
Calling Chell a Horrible Person [and a Loner]
"You're not a good person. You know that, right?"
"Good people don't end up here." -Portal, during the later part of the Escape
"All your other friends couldn't come either because you don't have any other friends. Because of how unlikable you are."
"It says so right here in your personnel file: Unlikable. Liked by no one. A bitter, unlikable loner whose passing shall not be mourned." -Portal, Boss Battle, After Curiosity Core is destroyed
"Well done. Here come the test results: You are a horrible person. I'm serious, that's what it says: A horrible person. We weren't even testing for that." -Portal 2, Single Player Campaign, Chapter 2, Test Chamber 2
GLaDOS really goes into calling Chell a bad person. There’s like. So many instances of this.
Though I don’t believe that Chell’s a bad person necessarily, there can be some things that might make one believe she is [outside of bias and clear guilt tripping/gaslighting].
If you’ve read my Chell headcanon shit, you might remember that I state that I think that Chells a rather spiteful person. Not only does she stubbornly refuse to speak purely to spite Aperture as a whole, but it’s implied from her file that she gave the scientists a lot of grief, to the point they recommend not ever testing her [it’s stated to be her tenacity, but tbh I think for Chell spite was at least a major motivatorfor her tenacity. After all, what else did she have?]. And once again, it seems that they view her rather bitterly if GLaDOS didn’t put that in the file herself.
Not to mention that GLaDOS manipulates her into destroying the Morality Core by appealing to her spite. After all, it’s not possible in game to simply do as she says and return it to her. You have to destroy it.
Even Wheatley caught onto Chell acting out of spite. He tried appealing to that when trying to convince her to get onto the conveyer belt to the mashy spike plate.
As for the loner bit, that seems to hold true to, considering how well Chell took the isolation she had to suffer. As far as she knew in the first game [at least at first], she was all alone and didn't so much as crack.
Not to mention in the second games the other characters' reactions imply that she's rather standoffish overall.
That combination can lead to someone being rather... difficult to work with...
But to be honest, I think she’s also capable of compassion, or at least mercy, and can be cooperative if she finds you trustworthy enough.
For the compassion [or mercy depending on how you view it] I have some examples that I’ll elaborate on in the Companion Cube and Wheatley sections, but there’s a couple of others I can get into.
Remember when I said I partially judge a blankslate character based off of what is and isn’t an option gameplaywise that doesn’t result in consequence.
Not only is it optional to save the Oracle Turret without consequence, but it even rewards you with an achievement and some neat foreshadowing from the character.
Then there is the time that Chell found GLaDOS at her lowest; a potato, being eaten alive by a bird.
Now, gameplaywise, you can’t advance without PotaTOS, hell, PotaTOS sits on the switch in the nest you find her in, but story and characterwise, Chell could have just went on her way, let her suffer the her fate at the hands [or talons/beak] of the bird. And yet she scared the bird off of her.
And it’s not like she knew that the place was going to self destruct or that she needed GLaDOS to survive, because that wasn’t brought up until after Chell scared the bird away.
As for the cooperativeness, I want to elaborate more on that when I get to Wheatley’s section, but I will say, she did work pretty well with GLaDOS in the later half of the game, despite how shakey their alliance was. Even risking her life to disconnect Wheatley from the chasis long enough for GLaDOS to fix everything. Just going off of the slim chance that she could survive it with GLaDOS’s intervention. It was no guarantee, she probably would have thought she was dead either way if she didn’t have at least a sliver of a thought that GLaDOS would pull her back in to safety.
Now imagine how well she'd probably work with you if she genuinely believed in her partnership with you.
It may have gotten a bit off track there, but my point is that GLaDOS is not completely unfounded with her being “unlikable”. It’s clear that she holds a lot of resentment for her situation and reacts spitefully because of it, and that combined with her being a rather distant person can make it hard to deal with her [and in fact might be a deal breaker for some], but at the same time, she’s not completely unreasonable and bitchy just so long as you’re either harmless or have good intentions.
Chell’s Sense of Fashion
"That jumpsuit you're wearing looks stupid. That's not me talking, it's right here in your file. On other people it looks fine, but right here a scientist has noted that on you it looks 'stupid.'"
"Well, what does a neck-bearded old engineer know about fashion? He probably - Oh, wait. It's a she. Still, what does she know? Oh wait, it says she has a medical degree. In fashion! From France!" -Portal 2, SIngle Player Campaign, Chapter 3, Test Chamber 15
Now, this is probably the shortest one because this is the only instance [that I know of] where GLaDOS pokes fun at her sense of fashion. And since it never comes up again, this is probably something that she sensed did not bother Chell one bit.
Though telling by how Chell had the upper half of her jumpsuit folded down and tied around her waist to expose her tops, it does seem like she cares about fashion a tad [probably favors both fashion and function], but doesn’t seem to care what other people think of her tastes, just what she likes.
The Companion Cube
"While it has been a faithful companion, your Companion Cube cannot accompany you through the rest of the test. If it could talk - and the Enrichment Center takes this opportunity to remind you that it cannot - it would tell you to go on without it because it would rather die in a fire than become a burden to you."
"You euthanized your faithful Companion Cube more quickly than any test subject on record. Congratulations." Portal, Test Chamber 17
"Oh. Did I accidentally fizzle that before you could complete the test? I'm sorry."
"Anyway, here's a new cube for you to project your deranged loneliness onto."
"I think that one was about to say 'I love you.' They ARE sentient, of course. We just have a LOT of them."  Portal 2, SIngle Player Campaign, Chapter 2, Test Chamber 7
Ah the faithful Companion Cube, everyone’s best friend. And an instance where GLaDOS tries to emotionally torment Chell while still trying to pass herself off as a automated voice back in the first game.
Is the cube truly sentient? I don’t know.
Does Chell care about it? I don’t think GLaDOS would have brought them back in the second game and taunt her with them if she didn’t believe it would cause Chell some distress.
She even gives it back to her after setting her free.
Whether or not it can talk or feel anything, I think it’s clear that Chell is rather fond of it.
Side note, I swear to god throughout Test Chamber 17 in the first game I heard like. Soft, faint humming whenever I held it. Am I just crazy? Did any of you guys experience that too? help-
Wheatley
"I have only met one other team closer and one of them was an imbecile I had to destroy."
"The other? Well..."
"I don't think I want to go through that again." -Portal 2, Co-op Campaign, Unlocking Course 4 for the first time
I don’t know about you, but I’m fairly certain the team she’s talking about is Chell and Wheatley. There is literally no other pair that would fit that description that we know of. Sure, she didn’t destroy Wheatley [literally, anyways], but he is her definition of an imbicel that she had to deal with. And Chell has not worked with anyone else before Wheatley [Not directly anyways], and it’s pretty obvious that “the other” is who GLaDOS was referring to.
And while she didn’t get to see all they did together, she witnessed Chell put enough of her trust in him to follow him to escape, even despite her best efforts, and she bared witness to the fruit of their labor later.
I think she sensed a sort of chemistry between them, noticed how well they worked together. She even felt the need to ask permission to kill him. She probably wouldn’t have if she didn’t have reason to believe that Chell was at least at one point close to him.
So that begs the question; does she really believe Chell actually did all the work?
I don’t think so.
Again, she witnessed Chell faithfully follow Wheatley, so it’s reasonable to assume that she was following his lead. Not to mention that this is not a type of strategy that Chell has attempted on her own before. Chell’s strategy in the first game was to simply to bide her time, portal in and out when the opportunity arises, destroy shit, and just wander until she got results, basically [she was kinda following Rattmann's directions, though]. This strategy was too subtle, too quiet, to be Chell’s. She even said so herself; "And now I'monto all of your little tricks." And she'd recognized that this is not how she do.
Not to mention that they all know that Wheatley knows Aperture and all its inner workings better than Chell, so even if she wanted to sabotage anything, she wouldn’t know what and where they were.
I believe she saw an opertunity to split them apart in the form of Wheatley’s betrayal. More specifically to turn Chell against him. After all, she was very quiet until he lowered the lift back down.
Of course that backfired into her turning Wheatley against Chell and Wheatley promptly turning her into a potato. Opps-
“But if they were as close as GLaDOS believed them to be, why didn’t she catch Wheatley? After all, it’s not an option to catch him in game.”
Well remember, Chell has only just met him at this point, so it’s fair that she doesn’t immediately trust him with what she’s been through. Not to mention that the last time that a core was dropped, it was a trap.
Though, I believe after that, she realized he was sincere and steadily warmed up to him. It’s never an option to drop him whenever you pick him up, after all. Now granted, you can’t progress if you could drop him down a pit, but I think characterwise we can assume that she’s just unwilling to do so, regardless of how useful he was to her in those instances.
Furthermore, I think she grew to trust him throughout chapters 3, 4, and 5, as again, she very willingly followed his lead and had faith that he would help bust her out, waiting patiently for him to do so.
Sure, she diverted a bit to flesh out his plan some [although if you wait long enough at the turret assembly line, he does tell you what to do, so this could be another instance of her following his lead without question, though I like to think because of her problem solving skills that she does it herself, but either way!], but it’s still his plan that she’s trusting him with regardless.
Plus, I think Wheatley being as casual with her as he was during chapter 5 is implication that they both felt safe with each other at that point. At least, as safe as you can feel when hiding from a pissed off over powered blood lusting AI while being forced to wander around in the dark with only a flashlight to guide you.
And yet she kept him at arm's length by not speaking to him. I doubt it was anything personal against him though, so much as it's become a long time habit and way of protecting herself at this point. So long as they were both still in Aperture, anything could happen. So to her, keeping an emotional distance from him and not verbally responding was probably the safest bet.
That, however, was what made it so easy for GLaDOS to destroy their partnership. The lack of communication would ultimately lead Wheatley to believe that Chell did not appreciate all his help, that she agreed with her even.
Chell's shutting him out ultimately led to a self fulfilling prophecy.
Welp, this took all fucking day to write, but here we go. Hope this made sense. This is just my interpretation, so take it with a grain of salt. Hope it was a fun read either way, and if I’m mistaken on something, feel free to let me know. ^^
Edit: Fixed some grammar and other mistakes, elaborated on some points, aaaaand gave credit to the little snippit of the low risk human acquisitionthing siiiince I did not get that myself-))

House of M Redone (part 6)
N/A: I didn´t put Reagan doing her evil-doing yet...time to correct that.
@muninandhugin @dannybagpipesarecalling @tieflingteeth
The party went on without a hitch. While one can argue this is not a fun party for young children- as the two princes are seeing walking around with their uncle in tow- no one can accuse this party of being indecent, so, therefore, there´s nothing stopping the presence of the twins.
Only they seem to disagree with this notion. Grimaces and pouting are their trademark response. Yes, this is a party safe for children but is not a fun one either.
Kitty covers her mouth at the sight of the young princes. The curves of her smile are too noticeable for a pair of golden eyes, of course, this observation is purely professional. See, Kurt takes his duties seriously.
"What?" her tone is saccharine and light as brown eyes are back to golden ones. "Have you personally meet the princes?"
He sent her a quizically stare. "Of course, they´ll be my bosses one day, so to speak, but...no child would think a party full of adults is cool...should see how they are with parties for their age" Kurt chuckles remembering that incident very well.
Kitty´s interest increase. "Is that a subtle way to ask me out again?"
"Well...I can´t ask you out as there´s no party planned ...yet" Kurt states and Kitty nods her head sagely. Dropping the subject for now. Looking around, no one can fault the young princes for being bored, because, Kurt is feeling a bit jaded himself too.
"Hey, wanna see something new?" whispering in her ear is totally necessary, after all, the music is being too loud. Sure, the music was not loud enough to "cloud" other´s people´s conversations.
Kurt is paying attention to details.
Kurt is guiding her to the balcony. The colors of beige, golden and white follow the interior and exterior of the palace as Kitty can tell. The balcony has a privileged view of Genosha in all is wondrous.
Her mouth is agape for a few seconds. Kurt can let a smirk takes place for a few seconds too.
"Genosha is beautiful" her tone is breathless. In front of her is Genosha, all its light, are structures and its shadow. Kitty´s home is beautiful and she allows herself to relax. "Your childhood was here?"
"Nien" Kurt responds letting his weight rest on the balcony admiring his date, of course, is important to point out Kurt has professional reasons for that and nothing more. "Born in Germany" is not confidential information. "In Bavaria, my father is a count from there" again, not super-confidential, nor is something Kurt talks so freely.
Kitty blinks at him 3 times. "Oh, you really have blue blood then?" she asked now admiring the night. The moon is full and the stars are glowing. Maybe, they´re glowing for the Witch- Queen, or maybe is because Genosha has a low-level of pollution.
There´s a third option that is even sillier than thinking Wanda make the stars shinning. Kitty is not a romantic fool and won´t be one now. Her avert to the moon only as her pout is in place.
The third option is a lie. Always.
Kurt shurgs. A man with too many words usually means nothing. Is one of his father´s old saying.
"Enjoy the party?" Kurt asks confidently not minding Kitty staring so fixated on the moon.
Kitty bites her lips. "I´m surprised, I thought you were using me to make someone jelly" Kitty can see the frown on his handsome blue face. "I kid, I kid. But in all honesty...this was a fun night" Kitty replies now looking his frown vanish.
"I´m glad...I usually don´t bring dates for those events, but, you know...I have to give a good impression"
Kitty nods. "Well, you´ll be happy to know that when I was part of the project GLADOS one of our top priorities is how to cause a superb impression in noble events" she winks at him.
"Sadly, we learn on the hard way the cake is a lie" she whispers in his pointy ear.
A deadpan stare is a response enough from Kurt. "Really? Portal to a teleport? You´ll never let me live this one down, will you?"
Kitty winks at him again.
Kurt only groans in response.
______________________________________________________________________________________________
Suddenly, a commotion takes place, people start to run away and the words fire is the only thing anyone needs to hear. Kurt is the Red Guard and he puts his duties first. "Kitty, we need to get out" And he didn´t wait for a reply not take into account her surprised look as Kurt is more than willing and cable to teleport them away from the palace.
Once Kitty is on the floor and still looks at him funny. Kurt needs to clarify. "The palace is on fire" his urgency only further her confusion.
"Kurt, what are you talking about? There´s no fire" and her eyes land to see the palace completely fine.
And Kurt land to see the palace on fire. Kurt is the Red Guard. The man is ready to teleport and save the day along with his fellow Red Guard when Kitty puts her hand on his shoulder.
"Kurt, listen to me...there´s no fire...is all an illusion"

Carol Danvers is one of the most powerful Avengers ever. To the point, Captain Marvel, the once Mar-Vell, saw something in Carol that was worthy to be his successor.
Of course, some people took negatively when Mar-Vell selects a woman to fill the role, so to speak, and of course, many rumors fly. It didn´t help Carol in the slightest the fact she used to date Mar-Vell- nevermind the fact it was way before she even discover her powers or even consider herself a heroine- some people are more than willing to be extremely petty if a woman takes the role.
Her blue eyes travel to where Wanda is. The Scarlet Witch. The strongest person Carol ever meet. A smile curls on her face as her sons gravitated towards her. Literally now.
Wanda and Carol are friends. Having friends is enough to face anything.
"FIRE!" is all Carol can hear as suddenly everything is pure chaos.
She starts helping everyone to leave. She missed Wanda´s confused glare the Scarlet Witch.
"Everyone follow me" Carol starts using her Photon powers to put off the fire.
Wanda is completely confused as well as her sons and one of the guests, Ororo Monroe.
Carol is not the type to prank or trash places for no reason. Neither is Pietro and Lorna who are doing their best to put the fire out.
__________________________________________________________________________________________
Outside of the palace, Kurt stares at Kitty for a solid minute. "An illusion? Then how come are you not being affected?"
Kitty blinks at this and sighs. "I´ve several students who have abilities similar...I got some immunity" better leave out how some teachers still struggle with illusions and how Jubilee is a victim of those...still.
(That´s how she meets Jono. He´s also immune to illusions and often stands by to help)
Kurt takes a deep sigh and looks at the fire once again. "Is not that I don´t believe you, I do...but I can´t stay still...even if the fire is an illusion, I´m a Red Guard, my loyalty goes to Genosha first and foremost" his tone is firm and without waiting any minute more. Kurt teleports.
Kitty watches the palace. Still no fire.
___________________________________________________________________________________________
Kurt found Rogue in a minute-no one mentions how Rogue and Captain Marvel are working together- and while Kurt can see the fire, and 50% of people are behaving as one would do if you´re trapped in a fire trap of death. Kurt has enough common sense to notice the other 50% who is looking at the rest as if this is a poor and tasteless joke and is drinking without fear.
"There´s no fire...is an ILLUSION" Kurt recalls Kitty´s words.
Rogue and Cap Marvel send quizically stare at him.
Emma Frost has Felicity clung in her arm. "Oh, please, that´s all about? Of course, there´s no fire...any telepath worth of their salt can see this" Emma states.
Wanda supports Emma´s claim now seeing the bigger picture.
Kurt has a duty to uphold. Fire or no fire. "Everyone follows me, we'll leave the palace calmly. There´s no fire...is all an Illusion. It can´t hurt you" and so, a long queue is formed with people trying to be calm.
Some are using their powers to put out the invisible fire even if Kurt explains is no need.
Wanda wants answers.
 __________________________________________________________________________________________
Blink wears
Reagan wears
Everyone is outside. The guests, the staff, including, of course, the royal family. Wanda used her powers- Emma offered to help, but it was a poor choice as Wanda is furious someone dares to do this to her home- in a minute everyone saw how never was any fire or danger.
Kurt looks discreetly at Kitty. She was right. Again. He can only send a thankfully smile towards her. She gets the message.
Meanwhile, a blonde woman with blue eyes and a black dress walks away not paying mind to anyone nor is anyone paying any mind to her. People are still speculating about the fire.
A woman with pink skin offers her arm to said blonde woman. "Reagan, is everything went as you planned?" she asked with a calm tone. Again, no one is paying them any mind.
Reagan smiles at her. "Blink, not even I could have predicted this...let´s go...take me home" and in a blink of eyes. The two women are gone.

So my original plan for tonight was to rewatch Knives Out, but since the movie theather near my house hates me its only showing two movies, a sequel to a comedy ive never seen and the stars wars. And since my friend refused to watch the comedy i actually watched ros and wow is it something.
Seriously ive seen so many posts complaining about this movie, from so many people, i thought i knew what to expect but i was not ready.
I was expecting to be annoyed and bored, wich i was at times, but i was not expecting it to be this funny
So since i’m trying to post more in my little space in the sinking ship that is tumblr i wanted to share the things that made me actually laugh out loud in rise of skywalker:
- not only they bring palpatine back in the opening crawl but the way it happens is just... amazing. Palpatine apparently just sends everyone a voice mail being like “i lived bitch” and promising revenge... like thats it, no more explanation needed.
- Snoke clones, they actually had snoke clones. we were so close to having the snoke clone army in the throne-like seat... we could’ve had it all.
- c3po going along in the adventure, i mean after the snoke clones cameo i was ready for the true otp c3prey to finally became canon.
- the little alien girl that just needs to know rey’s last name.was she filling a form or something?
- that part where the movie expects me to care in any way about c3p0 losing his memory, seriously i don’t care... please stop with the dramatic speech i don’t.... no really it could actually kill him and i stil.... oh my god why is the music acting like this is something.
- Did the makers of c3p0 made it so he would use his evil eyes and voice when translating sith, or did the little rat man decide it would look cool?
- the scene 3 hours later(why is this movie so long) where r2d2 brings the golden-waste-of-time’s memory back making everything in that previous scene even more pointless (why was c3p0 in this but rose had to stary behind again?)
- Poe is straight. Did you guys know that Poe is straight? Here is  a female human he had sexual intercourse with. Because he likes woman. BECAUSE HE IS STRAIGHT!!!!!.... Anyway here is Poe hugging Finn like his life depends on it.
- “They sold you to keep you safe.”
-”THEY SOLD YOU TO KEEP YOU SAFE!!”(I don’t know if that is the actual line, i watched it dubbed but seriously WTF)
- “She is not on Jakku so don’t even bother looking there. No really bro, i know we were there with her, and then we left without her... but she’s not there. Would i lie to you? Jakku is the last place i would hide my daughter on, so don’t ever look for her there.”(I’m 100% certain this is the actual line)
- PALPATINE FUCKS. HE HAS FUCKED BEFORE AND SHALL FUCK AGAIN.(who was the mother by the way?, who was the unsung hero that climbed this everest)
- Palpatine doesn’t know about the jedi love connection. His puppet knew, his puppet who he controled even claimed to have created the connection, but Palpatine didnt know. Is this because he is an old, old man? Is his mind just not what it used to be? did he just kinda forgot about the iron fleet?
- Rey blowing up Chewie...sorry
- Hux being the spy. the pettiness...mood.
- Hux just dying like a background character, so we can focus on the real secondary villain... general old guy.(Is he from the old movies?was jj expectin me to recognize that guy?i can’t even remember his name and i’m pretty sure they say it a lot, but my brain just stopped listening after general)
-The random former stormtroopers that just... show up and then we all pretend to have a connection with this lady for the last five hours of movie.(Why is it so long?)
But really the idea of other stormtroopers being inspired by Finn to break out of the first order would have been a cool story to actually explore, instead of just “we all just magically good cause force, rip to all brainwashed stormtroopers but we are different.”
- Leia just dies because.... she knew they had run out of deleted scenes with her i guess.
- Alien Lupita explaining Leia has to die cause... she needs all her power to... do stuff. important stuff.
- JJ’s friends that get more screentime than Rose.(not really funny but...)
- Glados Palpatine. Eveytime he appeared on screen i would start laughing, to the point my friend got mad at me. Am i the only one who can see this? Why is he Glados? Whatever the reason this made me laugh the most, i literally got out of the theather singing still alive.
- Kinda heartwarming that palpatine’s plan was to build a evil empire for his grandaughter. He really loved her T.T
- it took a while for me to realize, because it was so dark. but rey and palpatine were surrounded by evil bleaches filled with evil minions rooting for palpatine, and i thought that was really wholesome, to show they were all there cheering him on.
- every sith is inside palpatine... hehe
- “If you give in to your anger and kill me you’re evil. if i force you to kill me you are also evil.”
- Palpatine can possess people who kill him i guess?
- every jedi is inside Rey... hehe
- Also since he voldemorted himself to death, did palpatine possess himself?
- Leia’s body just disappears because.... reasons. I guess alien Lupita knows why but she’s not even gonna bother explaining this one, cause it’s so obvious.
- The gay scene... i’m gonna be honest, i teared up when the slug and jj’s friend hugged, this is the representation we need.(but really i almost missed the kiss, and i’m certain i never saw those women before, and im also sure they got thanosed the moment the camera left them)
-POE IS A STRAIGHT MAN WHO LOVES KISSING WOM... oh my god is that finn?
- The last scene, I actually liked that she ended up in Tatooine. Bringin everything full circle by showing Rey in the same planet baby Yoda and his cool mercenary dad once visited was a great way to end the trilogy.
- Rey, her two ghost parents, and a robot that i guess she stole from Poe. truly the happiest ending.
- Why is everyone so obsessed with last names? I bet that old woman was a tax collector.”Oh you’re a Skywalker? your relatives left the planet withou paying their light bill, it’s you debt now loser.” and luke just awkwardly fades away while rey stares at him.
Honestly there were parts of the movie i genuinely enjoyed: the han solo scene, pretty much every Ben solo scene, pretty much every trio scene(the whole thing with poe wanting to know what finn was going to say makes it seem like he is jealous of rey and i hate that it goes nowhere) and i actually love the part where rey puts her lightsaber behind her, and ben taking it from behind his.
But overall the Snoke clone army would have been a better plot. I mean no one in this movie even told Rey she looks pretty with her head cut open.
Also fuck JJ for what he did to Rose, seriously if you didn’t watch the last jedi you wouldn’t even know her name.Fuck him and this cowardly movie for doing this to Kelly Marie Tran.

What IS a game?
What IS a game anyway?
Today I’ll talk a little bit about what games are, how they came to be and WHY they’re probably the best thing since…you guessed it, sliced bread.
Y’know, games aren’t something that modern society has now evolved in to. When I say “modern society” I mean MODERN society, the society where we grab our switch and hold it like a clutch purse and pull it up on the bus so we can catch a Pokemon or something. I’m talking about real games. Games we used to play when we were kids, when our parents were kids, when th- okay you get it.
I’m talking about Hide and Seek, the beginning of our lecture from Mr.Games himself who teaches our Introduction to Game Development class.
Honestly I used to play way too much Hide and Seek when I was a kid, to the point where I’m sure a lot of people have done, quite terrifyingly got lost. That was my last game actually, I haven’t played since. Anyway, did you know that Hide and Seek is actually traced back to Greece from the 2nd century? It’s around the same type of game called “Apodidraskinda” in Greek, but in modern days it’s called kryfto.
The differences between todays games, whether digital or in real life, are generally this; Digital games, can be used to portray the world in a way that you could never be able to in real life. For instance, I can hop on to Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood and jump from building to house to towers in Rome, leaping through time and space itself. In real life, you are confined to what your own imagination can give you,
We all play games because we’re bored, we find it fun, we want to escape, to bond with people, and a lot of different reasons, hundreds of them under the sun. Take a moment to really think about it, why do YOU play games?
Remember, when you’re looking to become someone who will be designing games, think about the player, think about their experience. You’re responsible for every part of that game, the objectives, the rules and everything else under that. In my opinion, just because I make a game and enjoy it, or make a game that I want, that doesn’t mean everyone else will find joy in it. You are advocating for the player, not for yourself. The gameplay is one of the most important part of making your game. Which brings me to our next topic, playtesting.
Dead By Daylight, PUBG, League of Legends, Overwatch. These are some of the games that involve betas and playtesting. These may be completed games at its core, but the developers still remember that without the players feedback, their games are actual trash to be honest, and while yes, some companies like to ask for feedback and then throw it out the window, only to go back to what their players were complaining about, in the end playtesting is what they needed in order to communicate with their player base and improve their games in all aspects!
Falling in love with your game is important, but being blinded by your love for your game is a HUGE risk. This is why it’s super important to have other people test your game for you. You should have a lot of these qualities, which is so important to being a successful game designer, commication, teamwork, being able to work under pressure because deadlines are a real thing. One of the most horrible thing in my opinion is when game companies reveal a big date for a project or a beta, then fail to meet the deadline. Just remember, in the end, video games are supposed to be fun, interactive and player-sided, remember that and you’ll do great!
We were also told to compare the games Go Fish and Quake, Gold Fish is a card game played by 3-6 people, everyone gets 5 cards, and in the end the person without a card left, wins. On the other hand, Quake is a 3D game, it’s single player on a computer. You have to defeat monsters, you get power ups you shoot and kill there’s levels and so much more.
My point is, both of these are completely opposite in how they’re played, and going back to earlier where I said one is real life, and one is digital, both are STILL games. The most obvious similarity between the two are PLAYERS, as in you literally need players to use these products, to play the game. The only difference at its core is that one is single player, and the other one needs at least 3 people to play. Both games need people to be thinking logically, strategically, and in both cases in the end, the player just wants to WIN.
Games have objectives, the objective in most cases is to get to the end, or to win. Go fish? Match your cards and win. In Quake? Just reach to the end of each level alive. The point brought up in the lecture was that in games, objectives are vital in structuring the experience and motivating players. In movies we don’t have any of that, we just watch the movie and that’s the end.
Procedures, outlining the actions or methods of play allowed by the rules, ie; guiding the players behaviour. Rules are definitely a necessity in any game we play to be honest, without them nobody would know where to go in any single player game. Whether it’s linear, open world or just a team deathmatch in Call of Duty.
Resources are also extremely important, like in Quake, Fallout, Call of Duty, or any other FPS, RPG or Card game. Guns, ammo, points, powers, perks, etc. For instance, in Dead by Daylight I can spawn in to the map, open a chest and get a med-kit so I can heal myself if I need to.
Conflict is when a game throws you the end of a level, there it is! Just reach the end you can see the door! Except now that you walk forward, oh no, there’s 25 enemies. Kill them to go forward. Which brings us to boundaries, let’s say you see that same door, and the 25 enemies, and think okay well I’ll just go around them and get to the door without killing the enemies. Absolutely not. That’s not how the developers wanted you to play, that’s not how it’s supposed to be experienced! So the developers put boundaries so we don’t go outside the intended play area.
Challenges, another form of conflict in games. Challenges create tension in your games, and teach you to resolve a problem, like in Until Dawn, you must choose a ridiculous amount of options in a super short amount of time, and depending on what you choose, it’s literally life or death, so you must choose wisely. You also have to remember that putting too many challenges makes a game boring, so be careful not to include something so frustrating that it’ll make the player want to rage quit out of your game and forget to come back. Make it something either satisfying, or something that will completely alter the way it’s played whether it’s good or bad.
The concept of the word “play” is really tough to describe personally. It’s tough to really define what it is, because in my opinion I think of play as a positive connotation, but then I’ll see someone on twitch playing League of Legends and they die and slam their fists on their keyboards and screaming at the monitor at their teammates. Yes, they’re angry, but they’re still…PLAYING the game.
Play can be serious, happy, fun, sad, it can be everything, but in my personally opinion, play should definitely at the core be FUN. When I’m playing a game I should be having fun, no matter what. It should inspire imagination, it should engage the player.
Characters and stories in games can be both held hand in hand. Being attached to a story, to the lore, and to the character is so common in single player games these days. For example, I remember in the first Portal game, Chell wasn’t even Chell, she wasn’t anything. She was just “player” she had no story she had no background. There were bits and pieces, until fans dug stuff up and berated valve with questions, asking them to define who Chell is, who IS she? Why is she there? What’s her story? So in Portal 2 they went deeper, they gave her a background, we were attached to this once no named character. Now we love her, we love GladOS, and we’re still waiting for Portal 3 by the way…Valve? Are you scared of the number 3?
Anyway, putting Valves fear of the number 3 aside, my conclusion is that games are games, doesn’t matter if you’re playing hide and seek, Mario Party, Smash, or if you’re playing a game in your head that the floor is lava. In the end, when designing your game, remember that the players are what’s important. Remember that their feedback, and their criticism is what’s going to make you a successful game.

I finally got to write these! :D
|| 24: Top 3 books read outside of school ||
Tumblr media
I’ma just give three good books, as that’ll be much easier than trying to rank all of the books I’ve read outside of class, and I’ll stick to fiction:
Tanith Lee, Black Unicorn. Tanaquil is the daughter of a sorceress; she lives with her mother in a fort in the middle of a desert (presumably close enough to people to have a banquet, as there is one). She hasn’t displayed much talent for magic, but has developed a knack for mending things. In one of her day trips, she uncovers a skeleton which, after excavating and laying out, she realizes is that of a unicorn. Using gears and such, she puts the skeleton together, suspending it from her bedroom ceiling as she works. While Tanaquil is at the first banquet held in ages, the unicorn resurrects, crashes the party, and sends Tanaquil on an adventure. There are at least two sequel novels, Red Unicorn and Gold Unicorn, but I haven’t read them. Mind you, this is a YA novel and was one of the first chapter books I read, but upon re-reading it within the last couple of years I didn’t feel talked down to or that the novel was so geared towards children/preteens that it was unpleasant for an adult.
I’d list Sabriel/the Old Kingdom trilogy and His Dark Materials here, but I think enough people have commented on them that I don’t need to.
James Wyatt, Storm Dragon. This is another fantasy novel and (as is customary for fantasy novels) the first in a series I haven’t seen anywhere since. When I say this book is “good,” it’s not that it’s a masterful work of fiction. Rather, it’s that it’s one of the better D&D/D&D-esque novels I’ve read. It makes Eberron work as a setting, balancing action with intrigue, letting the underlying plot (relevant to the Draconic Prophecy) unfold without seeming forced, and addressing background material relevant to the setting without going on and on telling you how the setting works. For all of my complaints about Wyatt the game designer (I don’t only have complaints, but I have some), I was happy with him as a writer. That said, I’m intending on rereading it soon (third time I’ve read it, I think) and I’m prepared for some of the characters being a little clichéd. His protagonist is a House Lyrandar Heir of Siberys Duskblade and former dragonshard hunter who’s been locked away in whatever that Dwarven Alcatraz place was called basically because the house didn’t like him and then he kinda went crazy (speaking about the Draconic Prophecy). The crazy backstory somehow makes him ye olde sullen, hyperpowerful, but not entirely unplayable D&D character. Some of the other characters are better, though.
Amy Tan, The Hundred Secret Senses. This is magical realism instead of fantasy. I first read it over the summer between my junior and senior year while I was touring colleges. It deals with the relationship between two Chinese-American women (I forget if they’re cousins or sisters who were raised apart for some of their lives), one of whom is way more into traditional Chinese folk beliefs than the other. Lots of discussion of ghosts and past-life memories, hence “magical,” but it’s mainly interesting to see someone who’s bought into the prosaic American worldview relate to someone who very much has not.
||56: Top 3 dog breeds||
Ummm...mutt for sure. Maybe beagle. I don’t really have a preference other than “is nice” (I’ve run into too many not-so-nice dogs over the years).
||73: Top 3 villains ||
See, I avoided this one before because it’s very, very, very broad, but then I remembered something:
Tumblr media
and that reminded me of all sorts of villains (not just antagonists). So hold on.
Obvs, #1 is Sephiroth. #2 is the Dark Phoenix. #3 could be a whole bunch; if I’m going for mostly serious, I’d probably say GLaDOS (she is snarky, but she’s not as funny a villains as Aku, who is still serious, or Yzma, who is mostly funny). I could go on from there, so I’ma stop, ‘cuz I answered your question.

You have oc's? Can we hear abt them? :D
oh absolutely!! get ready for a very long post oof
first up we have my pride and joy, Nova
Tumblr media
nova is quite similar to me in a lot of ways, but also they are significantly more able and willing to throw hands if the need arises, they’ve got a badass side to them ahaha. a fiercely loyal friend and partner, nova will do everything in their power to defend and to support the people they care about. their aesthetic theme is red and black modern style (that’s their wardrobe and their apartment) which i have a lot of fun with. they play guitar and ukulele, they write and sing their own songs… oh, and they were essentially created to be my slightly-altered-self-insert’s significant other. though i do hope to someday build a larger story universe for nova and their friends. i have basic visual ideas for said friends, who are named lucas, monica, and sophie, but their personalities are quite simple at the moment.
next we have cassie, a portal-specific character
Tumblr media
awkward and anxious, but caring and curious, cassie is a bisexual aperture scientist who was relatively new but quickly grew close to her team (particularly virgil and wheatley) and to caroline, whom she has a major crush on. design-wise, i took inspiration from both the morality core and the curiosity core, hence her color scheme. this is meant to manifest in her ever-growing interest in not just her sector of the labs, but allllllll the facility has to offer, as well as her frequent (but quiet) disagreements with cave johnson over ethics and stuff.
there’s a little seed of an idea that i’ve had from the start that would, if put into action, ultimately come to cassie dropping all formalities and all but fighting cave and his plan to force caroline into an AI. however as we all know, cassie loses this fight and caroline becomes glados and cassie herself gets split into two cores. or, at least, that’s my idea. i haven’t done anything with it yet, but it’s technically canon for the au. if that makes sense.
let’s see, who else have i got…
let’s shift gears entirely. who likes fantasy? i’m developing an idea for an original fantasy novel called reverie of roses and here’s the basic idea
Rosalie Emberglow and her wizard father run a little potion shop in a small town. Rosalie’s father is a great magic user, but thanks to her undying dedication to studying magic Rosalie has become even greater. her dream is to be accepted into the royal academy of magic and work for the queen one day. and where her story begins, she is about to achieve just that.
however, her mother Alina (name subject to change), who is a goddess (immortals are a species in this universe it;s true because i say so and deities are different), has been absent all her life, partying it up 24/7 in the immortal realm with the other gods and goddesses, and has never once come down to the earth realm to see the man she slept with that one time, or the daughter she left him with. they only really converse via a magical song that transcends the realms, but alina simply was not willing to commit to being a parent and therefore has never assumed the role of one.
however in her magic studies rosalie discovers a way for a mortal to travel to the immortal realm without the help of an immortal, and she’s like holy shit i could actually see my mom for once, and the rest of the story is basically her, and also her archer girlfriend Hoshi, traveling across the kingdom to do the spell and at the climax she gets there and she finds out alina still doesn’t really care and she has to choose between her dream of having her mom, or the dream that she worked for by herself that she can actually reap the rewards of
reverie of roses takes place in what may or may not be a series that i’ve working-titled “the estelia chronicles” (estelia is the name of the kingdom). i’ve got a seedling of a second estelia chronicles book called “arcana’s cross” (again, working title) that doesn’t have much to do with rosalie at all. instead it features Kayo and Willow, a lesbian couple who have spent their late teens/early adulthood traveling the world by sea.
the group they are a part of is given a quest by a queen to retrieve an extraordinarily valuable magical artifact called the arcana’s cross (ooo, name drop) from where a band of Fucken Hooligans (that’s not how i’d word it in the book lol) are trying to steal it for themselves. kayo’s team must travel to the location and secure the cross, then safely bring it back to the queen so she can ensure it doesn’t fall into the wrong hands.
but that’s not all. before the group is really able to start this mission, willow falls ill and suffers some permanent repercussions of the illness rendering her unable to travel that far (well she could but it would be really dumb to try). as one of the leaders of the group, kayo must still go on the mission, but willow stays home.
i haven’t quite gotten to novel-level plot structure yet, but that’s the basic premise i guess. i will say kayo and willow both live. i’m not quite to that level of angst in my original stories… yet.
i’m going to leave it there because 1) i need to sleep 2) this post is so many words and 3) i can’t really think of any other currently-relevant OCs of mine. however, feel free to ask me more about any of them, i’d love to share more about them!!! maybe it’ll convince me to like. develop them more and start writing a full book or in nova’s case a webcomic or something
