Hopefully next time I won't look as goofy girl running through everything 🤣🤣🤣 Anywho let's get to this cool down because I know that speed and agility training was a little intense. Cool down: Walking standing hamstring stretch for 10 to 15 reps at one set each. Walking standing quad stretch with reverse kicks for 10 to 15 reps at one set each. Standing forward arm swings for 10 to 15 reps at one set each. Standing reverse arm swings for 10 to 15 reps at one set each. #health #fitness #nutrition #speedandagilitytraining #mindset All right part two of my video series is a little bit longer but hopefully y'all can run through it 😁 So today were going to go through a few drills on the speed and agility ladder that are basic but can change up your quarantine workout routine weather your indoor or outdoor ready. Just don't do this if you have downstairs neighbors lol. Remember there is no intensity level that needs to be met when learning these drills just go at your own pace and take each step carefully. Now once you got the technique down then bring your intensity level up to its maximum and run through each drill 7 times each for 1 full set to be completed. The workout: 2 in no outs up and down the ladder 7 times each for one full set 4 times. 2 in 1 out up and down the ladder 7 times each for one full set 4 times. 2 in 2 out up and down the ladder 7 times each for one full set 4 times. Control movements even at maximum intensity and enjoy the day whether you're outside or inside. I will definitely end the series with some great dynamic stretching for a wonderful cool down. #Health #fitness #nutrition #warmupexercise #speedandagilitytraining Omg what a beautiful day outside let's go enjoy it together and of course respect social distancing if you have any concerns 😉 This video series will be going over speed and agility training but let's not forget that you cannot jump into any work out cold turkey. Always remember that dynamic warm ups can help the body prepare if you are on a time restraint. Also it's best to think of your muscles, ligaments and even tendons as a rubber band so allow them to heat up just a bit before stretching them out of course you all know what happens to a rubber band if it's too warm or even too cold and you try to stretch it. These dynamic movements will allow your full body to prepare for a workout or you can use these dynamic warm-ups as a workout themselves. Dynamic/Workout warm up: Walking to high kicks for 20 seconds at maximum effort. Butt kicks for 20 seconds at maximum effort. Side to sides no crossing for 20 seconds at maximum effort. High knees or 20 seconds at maximum effort. Of course you are welcome to increase the time frame to 1 minute each workout if you want to change it from a warm-up into a workout with each one being 4 sets each. Remember slow each movement down to modify it meaning do not go at maximum effort or full speed just take your time with each movement. So even though I shot all these workouts outside you are welcome to do these movements inside as long as you don't live on the second or third floor and you bother your neighbors with all the loud stomping lol.
