also another reason I don't like the take of Cassian being a messenger is that. I just can't help but feel like after they already replaced his previously established backstory with Jyn's almost beat for beat, they're now also thematically superimposing Andor!Cassian over yet another unfairly overlooked Rogue One character:
Get your mitts off my boy, Gilroy! Do not take one of the most poignant acts of bravery on Star Wars and recycle it for the laziest chosen one story of the last decade. What is this. Why are we turning Cassian into the 3-in-1 shampoo of Rogue One characters.
#am i reading a lot into a specific very common word here? maybe#but for fuck's sake why was it so hard to just briefly review the script of the movie you were supposed to be making a prequel for#and like. check if maybe you're accidentally referencing something that was central to a main character#and if it wasn't an accident... bor gullet be upon ye#(i am cursing you with what i PREVIOUSLY remembered as the silliest most tonally incongruous writing choice in Star Wars)#bodhi rook#andor critical

I am screaming internally at how words in mando'a will have a double vowel, usually 'aa' like 'chaabar' (to fear) or 'haalas' (chest), and the stress will be on the single vowel syllable, but only half the time. Sometimes it swaps, like 'haatyc' (visible) or 'naakla' (peaceful), and I cannot work out why?? Like, maybe it's because a 'stronger' vowel sound, like a diphthong, takes precedence like in 'jai'galaar' (shriekhawk). However, 'baatir' (to care) stresses the first syllable while 'laamir' (to jump) stresses the second. Surely their spelling similarities would indicate that they follow the same prosodic conventions, but no, apparently not? It's not word class either, because 'chaabar' and 'baatir' are both verbs. I understand that languages don't have perfect consistency, but good God? Mando'a is supposed to be a simple language. This is stupid and I hate it. From now on, 'aa' is the stressed or 'drawn out' syllable. I make the rules now. It's MY bad Star Wars conlang and I'll spell however I want.
#star wars#mandalorians#mandoa#mandalore#language construction#i just wanted to figure out why some Cs were pronounced sh#dont start me on the fucking Cs in mandoa#or rather transliterated mandoa#maybe all my problems would be solved if i just learned to read mandalorian script

Do you watch cartoons or anime?
hello hello I fell asleep last night before we got to the hotel but we on the road again now so!!! thank you for sending me entertainment 🙏
I gotta admit I’m not the biggest fan of cartoons, and I have watched anime in the past when I was younger, but I never really got into any that I tried!
tbh I haven’t even finished the clone wars cause I just never want to watch cartoons when I could watch something else - even if the cartoons are Star Wars related! About characters I like!! My brain is pretty weird that way idk why I haven’t been able to get into any cartoon shows or anime when I have a lot of recs from people on here and in real life who really like both
#asks#I was trying to think of the last cartoon show I watched and it’s gotta be clone wars#but I stil have a few seasons left#I just started jumping around to important episodes I wanted to watch#like deception arc#I think I’ve only seen one episode with vos#which makes me#pretty positive that all my interpretations and clone wars characters are a lottle off from canon#I’m like how ewan mcgregor must have felt when they gave him the script for the kenobi show#where he sees vos’ name on the wall and he’s like Quinlan 🥹#must have been like who tf#assuming the thing I read a few years ago that mcgregor never watched the clone wars show or interacted with Star Wars outside the movies#is correct

the three genders: Mustafar choking scene (movie), Mustafar choking scene (novelization) and Mustafar choking scene (script)
#yael is reading star wars#rots novelization.#script and movie aren't vastly different#but the book...#it's so unnecessarily... what#you knnow rots novel might be bellow brotherhood in my personal ranking#there's just too much bullshit i can't ignore in favor of absolutely wonderful moments and chapters where stover's writing fits#and really shines through#something that truly highlights the difference between the movie and the “adaptation”#is literally more than half of its wookiepedia page being just#“Notable differences between the movie and the novel”#like lmao.#that doesn't exist for the tpm novel#and is so much shorter in the aotc novel

I have my issues with bringing animated characters into live action and how the live action version is considered “better” but I love how Bo-Katan’s armour translated across mediums
#bo-katan’s helmet is my favourite in all of star wars. it’s so cute she’s an owl!#trying again with mando season 3 it’s still not really my thing#i’m not invested in din or grogu at all which is probably a big part of it. maybe i’ll like the next season#katee is really trying her best with a mediocre script..some of her lines are so good and have so much energy and then others sound#like she’s just reading lines without understanding them but tbh i don’t know how anyone can deliver some of that dialogue naturally

Lupita Nyong’o reveals on ''Hot Ones'' that she once wrote a letter to Taylor Swift requesting the rights to use “Shake It Off” in her movie after the producer’s request was denied:
''When I was working in London on Star Wars I was going through a lot of self-doubt because it was the second thing I had done. I was getting a little depressed, my best friend came to London and Taylor had just released 'Shake It Off' and he played it for me to get me into better spirits and we just jumped on my bed and we just danced and danced and it lifted my spirits. When I read the script for Little Monsters that song it meant to Miss Caroline and to the kindergarteners, it meant a lot to me that I was going to get to it on the ukulele and everything. When they came and they told me that we can't get the rights I decided that I'm going to make a pitch, I'm going to let Taylor know what this song means to me and I told her that story about how it lifted me from an almost depression and the next thing I knew it was cleared. I haven't actually seen her since to thank her for it. Thank you so much Taylor! Thank you, thank you, thank you.'' x

HEADCANONS: HAYDEN CHRISTENSEN X FIRST ROLE ACTRESS! READER
WARNING: none just cuteness WORDS: 1.1k A/N: Hello my loves!!! It’s been a little while since I posted a headcanon, but in a slightly belated celebration of Hayden’s birthday, I put together some soft and sparkly ideas about what it would be like to have him as your coworker on your very first acting job 🎬I hope you enjoy it lots!! 💕 Likes, comments, and reblogs truly make my day and keep me inspired to keep writing 🌈📩 Alsooo~ don’t be shy! My inbox is always open for requests and ideas 💌🧸 I love love love hearing from you 💭 DIVIDERS BY @cafekitsune
When you got the chance to audition for a new Star Wars series focused on Darth Vader training a Sith apprentice while struggling under Palpatine’s control, you didn’t just prepare—you obsessed. The prequels were your favorite, and Anakin had always been your soft spot. So when the opportunity came to not only be part of Star Wars but possibly act with Hayden Christensen, it felt like your entire childhood lining up with your dreams.
The audition day was pure nerves. You sat stiff in the waiting area, trying to remember every calming technique you’d ever read about—breathing exercises, visualizations, even tapping your fingertips to distract yourself. When your name was finally called, your heart was pounding, but you slipped into character and let go. The moment you walked out, you couldn’t recall a single line. But somehow, you knew—you’d given it your all.
A few days later, you got the email for a chemistry read with Hayden. You actually screamed. Loud. Into your pillow. When he walked into the room, tall and calm and giving that quiet smile to everyone, even the PA refilling water bottles, your heart jumped. “I’m Hayden,” he said, stepping toward you, his voice warm. “You must be Y/N, right?” You nodded, cheeks warm, slipping your hand into his. His grip was firm, gentle—steady. You felt your nerves ease instantly.
After landing the role, you dove into training before scripts even arrived. Your first lightsaber sessions were hilariously bad. You smacked your own head. Twice. But you kept showing up, bruises and all. Two months in, Hayden joined you. He watched your movements with kind eyes, then asked, “So, how much of a Sith are you now?” You laughed, slightly out of breath. “I’ve got the bruises, so... halfway there?” He chuckled. “That’s more than most.”
Training with him quickly became your favorite part of the day. He was patient, goofy, and shockingly down-to-earth. He showed you his signature spin move—the fast back-swing from Revenge of the Sith. When he stood behind you, gently guiding your hands with his, you couldn’t help but feel the butterflies. You tried it. And failed. Three times. On the third, you tripped over his boot and both of you hit the mat. The silence was broken by his laugh—loud and genuine. He wrapped an arm around you as you sat up, breathless. “You’ll get it,” he grinned. “And we’ll make it look epic.”
You shared the same dressing area for hair and makeup—though his call time was always hours before yours. Vader’s scars took time. You’d come in with a coffee in hand and find him half-asleep in the makeup chair, prosthetics half-done, mumbling, “Mornin’... you brought the good coffee?” You always did.
Your Sith apprentice costume was sleek, practical, with tight black pants, armored vest, and a flowing cape. Meanwhile, Hayden’s Vader suit was brutal—hot, stiff, and heavy. So you made it your mission to help. Juice boxes, water bottles, a mini fan in your tote—you were his unofficial handler. “You’re gonna owe me a coffee sponsorship, deal?” you teased once, holding a straw up to his helmet. “Deal,” he said, the corners of his eyes crinkling behind the mask.
One day, you begged him to let you try on the Vader helmet. “Just for a second, please?” He looked hesitant. “It’s heavier than it looks.” You waved him off and slipped it on—and nearly tipped over. “Oh my god,” you gasped, staggering under the weight. Hayden jumped forward, steadying you with both hands. “Told you,” he said with a grin. “Maybe you should listen to me next time.” You gave him a sheepish thumbs-up from inside the massive helmet.
After every take—every single one—Hayden would find you and say something kind. “You crushed that,” or “Your delivery was perfect.” Even if the scene was only a few seconds. It made you feel seen. Like you belonged. And that mattered.
Filming days were long, especially on location. Every night, you and Hayden would end up in one of your trailers or hotel rooms, sharing takeout and debriefing. Sometimes you’d learn about the place you were filming in—local food, weird trivia. Sometimes you just laughed until your stomach hurt. If there wasn’t an early call, you shared a beer or a glass of wine, always with music in the background and feet propped up.
During a grueling quarry shoot, you finished your scene and curled up on a mattress in the shade. When you woke up, Hayden was crouched nearby, trying (and failing) to quietly eat a bag of chips. His eyes went wide when he saw you stirring, chip halfway in his mouth. You both stared. Then burst out laughing. “Sorry,” he mumbled with cheeks full. “I got hungry.”
On crew buses between sets, it became an unspoken rule: your seat was beside his. He’d open his arms without a word, letting you rest your head against his chest. If he was tired too, he’d rest his cheek on top of your head. Sometimes you woke up still leaning on him, the world outside flying by.
You developed a superpower: falling asleep anywhere. Under tables, on chairs, even leaning against prop crates. One day Hayden found you curled up beneath the main set of Vader’s Fortress. “She’s doing her Sith meditation,” he joked to a crew member. But a few days later, you caught him asleep on the floor next to you, head on your arm, you smiled.
You and Hayden developed a running bit where every time you messed up a take, he’d dramatically whisper, “You’ve failed me for the last time,” in his Vader voice. It always made you laugh too hard to stay embarrassed. The crew started catching on, and even the director played along once with, “Cut. And... Vader disapproves.”
During one of your first big duel scenes, you swung too hard and knocked Hayden’s saber clean out of his hand. The set went dead silent until he looked at you, deadpan. “That was... impressive. Terrifying, but impressive.” From that day on, he jokingly called you “the real Chosen One.”
At night, sometimes you’d set up a little laptop and watch old Star Wars films together. You had questions about the lore, and Hayden loved nerding out with you, explaining little behind-the-scenes stories. “You know that scene on Mustafar? I had to wear red-yellow contact lenses and a wig. That heat was no joke.” You’d grin, eyes wide. “And now you’re back—still surviving lava planets.”
On the final day, you tried to keep it together. Everyone was emotional, but you felt it heavier than most—it had been your first real job, and Hayden had been such a grounding presence. After your last take, he walked over, hugged you tight, and whispered, “You’re a star, Y/N. You made this story better.” Later that night, he handed you a small gift: a silver pendant shaped like a tiny lightsaber. “To remind you where your journey began.”

hi kerry!! do you have any ideas for places to shift to? (╥﹏╥) all i can think of are the more well-known ones like h2o or uh... that's it, actually :[
places to shift if you have no ideas !

i , italy 1993. but it’s a romanticised version … becoming reality. you live in south italy. more specifically palermo, sicilia, a city full of old churches, monuments and works of art of inestimable value, animated by lively neighborhoods. summers are mainly beach days, eating apricots and strawberries from your grandpa's gardens, living in the rural part of the town if you like a quiet atmosphere. you are part of a friendgroup who goes on adventures almost everyday, sometimes even daring to go outside of sicilia, and who spends the majority of time together. sometimes, when the summers are too warm, you’ll spend the days in someone's private pool, reading and talking shit about your classmates. in the winters, after the homework (be careful of what high school you choose to do!!!!) you’d stay inside eating the food someone's grandma cooked for you and your group. full of vibes … and if you want to know more about italy and its high schools ask xxxx.
ii , fairyland. you are a fairy who lives next to your bestfriends, who are also fairies. actually …. it’s this whole universe full of people like you. think about it like the cartoons version of winx. you learn how to be a fairy in a school, you and your friends go out together almost everyday, maybe a romance with a rival? it’s a world full of possibilities.
iii , old hollywood. if you script out all the bigotery, it would be such a fun experience. best friends with marilyn monroe (or mortal enemies… who knows?) parties full of glam, and you are so loved by the public that the future generations will remember you as an icon, forever. not going to lie i would this just to be with james dean.
iv , rockstar. therapists hate you because you encourage rebelliousness !!!!!!!! you are full of charisma, and so are your songs. lead vocalist, lead guitar, rhythm guitar, bass guitar, and drums…. maybe a rock band? smokey make-up and red lipstick, leather jacket or skirts or pants or whatever (even nothing… if you are that bold) you are a world-wide EVENT. your concerts are full of people screaming your songs word for word. magazines write about you like you are some sort of miracle happening to music. have fun !!!!!
v , supernatural. not the show (well, if you want…!) but it’s a school full of supernatural people, and each of you is divided into an house based on your supernatural abilities. honestly it sounds cool, just make sure to script that vampires and werewolves will not kill each other… because of their dramatic ass. oop.
vi , farmer’s child. you live in kansas and you are part of this numerous family (you are the middle of, like, 10 children) and… you also live in a small town. but everything seems to be out of a movie.
vii , your dream job !!! understandable. what job do you want to do? a florist (romantic life with flowers everywhere you go, befriend clients) or an actor/actress (you would have such fun in between takes!!) or an astronaut (to THE MOON!?!?!?!?????!!!!!!!!) or a teacher (cmon, some kids will teach you life lessons. children know things we forgot) or… everything else in the world and beyond, really.
viii , monarch of an another planet. its like star wars but its not star wars. you just rule a planet. sounds exhausting but also cool?
let me know if you want more <3

aotc novel audiobook is fine and all but it feels like it was recorded by a person who had not yet seen the movie (actually makes sense with the way they were writing and releasing those books) and yeahhhh I love different takes from different people on the same things but uhhh I just watched the movie and the guy's just not saying it right
#yael is reading star wars#aotc novelization#i have the aotc art book with the script so i was half-following it while watching the movie#and the book is faithful to that which makes sense#still it's weird how different things are#it's just an audiobook but the deliveries of lines and shit bother me
