Star Wars: Agent 02.
this is yet another idea that had come into mind. This time it is of Tech redeeming his CX-2 persona by choosing to secretly remain in the Empire as a hidden double agent for the growing rebellion, by using what remains of his Imperial Conditioning and utilizing his exceptional mind, Tech would rise through the ranks of the Empire with a ruthless streak and even stand side by side with Thrawn!
in this AU, regardless of his service to the dark side and to the Sith Order, Darth Vader, once known as Anakin Skywalker will still care for all clone troopers no matter if they still work in the empire or are rebels…

Star Wars Legends: Poll of the Week — The Many Lives of Mara
Tumblr media
One of the most popular characters to be developed for Star Wars Legends is Mara Jade, who first appeared in Timothy Zahn’s Thrawn trilogy. The character went through a number of journeys, both in her relationship with Luke Skywalker and in her own right, and over that time she had a number of professions. Which one of these Mara Jade professions is your favorite?
The Emperor’s Hand, a Dark-Side-wielding spy and assassin for the Empire, trained by Darth Vader and the Emperor
Hyperdrive mechanic, on the run from Isard and others after the fall of the Empire
Smuggler with Talon Karrde’s crew and later leading the Smugglers’ Alliance
Dancer in Jabba’s Palace (undercover as Arica, as part of her mission to kill Luke Skywalker)
Jedi Knight, and later, Jedi Master who took on Jaina Solo and Anakin Solo as her apprentices
Let’s create more Legends moments together! Follow @from-a-legends-pov and come join us for From a Legends Point of View, a fanfiction event where we’ll be building a collection of fics featuring Star Wars Legends characters (including OT characters) during the time of the Original Trilogy. Queer Star Wars Characters (Quarterfinals): Match 2
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Cinta Kaz | Identity: wlw | Media: Andor
We all know Cinta Kaz. While she is not the first queer person in Star Wars by a very long shot, her and her girlfriend are the first queer people to appear in live action and have their queerness confirmed in said format, rather than retconned in later.
Chelli Lona Aphra | Identity: lesbian | Media: Star Wars Comics
Oh Aphra, where to begin. Honestly the best way I can describe her is that she’s Star Wars’ Vriska. She’s a “rogue archeologist” and in marketing material sometimes compared to Indiana Jones, but the only similarity is that she can feature in the same wacky stories about retrieving artifacts except with none of the mismatch between modern ideas about archeology and repatriation and Indy being the hero, because she specifically isn’t. She was originally created for the 2015 Darth Vader comic series, recruited to help Vader raise a force that would let him coup the Emperor. She was so popular she then got her own comic series, making her the breakout star of the Disney/Marvel Star Wars comics. The Fandom Menace can’t touch her.
Her comics have been a series of frankly strange adventures involving Force artifacts, Vader either working with her or wanting her dead, and double crosses that leave your head spinning. She has Thrawn level tactical abilities, but only for schemes. She is haunted by how her trauma born behaviors make it hard for her to maintain relationships and be a good person. She has so many exes it's an entire section of this tournament. Her most significant relationships have been with Sana Starros and Magna Tolvan. As of the end of the Spark Eternal arc, the comic seems to be leaning towards a poly ending with the three of them, but first Aphra needs to stop self sabotaging.
One of Aphra’s greatest achievements was at the end of her 2016 comic run, where she trapped Vader in a PTSD flashback Force artifact on Tython and hacked his suit to allow her to erase Hoth from the Empire’s records. She did this for the sake of her loved ones who had joined the Alliance. Doing this gave Echo Base enough time to build up before they were found again that they were able to evacuate much more efficiently. That’s right, disaster lesbian love saved the Rebellion.

Things my Star Wars-Clueless Bestie™ said about Star Wars:
(my comments are in brackets)
Part 1-Part 2-------------------------------------
she thinks Thrawn looks like he could have the voice of Preminger from Barbie Princess and the Pauper and she's very sure of herself for that
"Ar-tu-di-tu"
"Obi One"
In response to my "Hello there" she said "Oh, fuck, I was supossed to know that one"
In response to me listing off my favourite redemption arcs- Zuko, Hunter and Kallus- she said: "Well, yeah, but the first two changed their points of view, Kallus did it for his gay crush" (and like, fair enough, but I'm actually so impressed she remembered)
"By light of lotars moons" (close enough, I'm so proud)
"Chopper is in fact a robot not a chaotic youngster as I previosly thought" (I love her so much for that)
she saw Jacen and thought it was Chopper
"My alliance is to the Republic, Anakin!" (in the most random moments)
"Kalus is gay and he was the last one to realise it" (true, damn it, so true)
also about Kallus: "mr. Gay, mr. I am leaving the bad side for my boyfriend" and "follows rules to a certain moment, cause there are no rules in love" (yes.)
"You were supposed to be the choose one, you weren't supposed to join them!" "I hate you!!!" (How does she even know this one?)
asked about Sabine she replied with "cannot be straight with this kind of hair" and upon seeing her finale haircut, she reacted with "wow, did she break up with someone?"
completely clueless about how true it is, she described Kanan as "all that self sacrifice bullshit" (ouch.)
according to her Ahsoka "be dating Anakin" (no comment)
about Rex: "what in the Santa go rouge shit is that?"
about Thrawn: "boy either very straight or very gay" (she doesn't know)
Thrawn bonus: "#blue vampire vibes" and she wonders if he eats enough
about Hondo: "turtle wood kind of person" (what)
Inquisitor=clown, apparently

Alright, time to speculate about Ahsoka and the future of the Mandoverse! Spoilers will be discussed.
So I think it's very clear we're getting a Season 2... but what is Season 2 going to look like? How will it be structured? I say this because while everything in Season 1 starts from the same place, in Season 2 it won't be so simple. I'm not really sure that you can do a show with two groups of characters now completely disconnected from each other. From what Ahsoka is saying, it sounds like they're not in a rush to get back home, either. There is a chance they could still do this, but even in Season 1 we never really got an episode evenly split between galaxies. So what if... it's going to spin off into TWO shows instead of one?
So basically, Ahsoka S2 would follow Ahsoka and Sabine and whatever Baylan and Shin get up to, and then you'd have a second series following Ezra, Hera, etc as they fight against Thrawn's Imperial Remnant-Nightsister alliance.
With how Ahsoka sounded about being on Peridea, I have a feeling her and Sabine will be there for a while. Maybe they'll get back in Season 2, or maybe they'll be on Peridea until the movie (because let's be real, there's no way Filoni is gonna do his big Heir to the Empire movie WITHOUT his oshi :v). Of course, there IS the chance it's just Ezra, Hera, etc vs Thrawn for the movie, but see above comment about Filoni and Ahsoka.
I also have some thoughts about WHEN the movie might come out. It's very simple if you know basic Star Wars history... 2027. Aka, on Star Wars' 50th anniversary.
Of all the upcoming confirmed movies, Filoni's is probably going to be the big crowd pleasing fanservice one. Fan fave big bad, OT-adjacent time period, modern fan faves like Mando, and likely even OT characters appearing (even if they're deepfakes lol).
This is very loose speculation and who knows how this will hold, especially with the SAG-AFTRA strike still not being resolved, but I'm personally betting that's what the plan is. Just hope they don't rush things if they want that.
Oh yeah, also worth mentioning: it's possible that the Mandalorian Season 4 is actually about Mando and Grogu joining Hera and Ezra via Carson Teva. I mean, if Mando is fighting Imperial Remnants, he's GOT to know about the most significant one, right?
But yeah, who knows what could happen, the ending of Ahsoka means they could pull many directions to take the different Mandoverse shows and even the movie in.

Thoughts on Tales of the Empire
Minor spoilers under the cut:
Morgan Elsbeth's story was nicey, but I don't remember much from Mandalorian nor have seen Ahsoka to know what destiny she thinks is meant for her.
Episode 1: Really good, despite being rather rushed. The separatist army felt relentless and Grievous was frightening. Most importantly though was how they showed the difference in mentality of the Mountain Clan's non-aggression and the Night Sisters' distrust of others along with their powers.
Episode 2: Good, but it felt so disjointed from the first. How did a Night-sister of Dathomir became an industrialist engineer? How did she reforged the scythes into a spear? Nevertheless, her alliance with Thrawn and the showing of how the Empire functions made it enjoyable. (Going on a tangent here, those people from Corvus really hated her uh? Out for her head for not getting imperial support and sad because she eventually got it?)
- Episode 3: Felt so unnecessary, she just killed a New Republic representative to keep her power before the events in Mandalorian (I was sad for the senator though). It didn't add anything to what I already saw of the protagonist-villain, they should have spent an episode in the timeframe between 1 and 2 instead.
Barriss' story was better despite not being very epic. Wondered what had happened to her after the Clone Wars, so that solves it.
Episode 4: Her first episode was a good but could have gone deeper to show the pain inflicted on the Inquisitors to drive them into the Dark Side (like what we saw with Trilla in SWJ:Fallen Order).
Episode 5: Capitalized on the tenuous grasp they had on her and made the betrayal very convincing along with showing the rationale of an imperial to do what they do through Lyn's mass-murder of unarmed civilians.
Episode 6: The last may have been polarizing (I presume, haven't read any review on it) because of a Lyn's redemption, but I think it displays that philosophy of kindness and compassion dissipating hate that Star Wars loves, so I'll cut it some slack.
Overall, entertaining but wouldn't rewatch. I think some 7 or 8/10 seems fair.

Thoughts on Ahsoka Episode 7 - Dreams and Madness - A Discussion Post
This episode definitely included a lot of action and lighthearted moments, moving the story on for its near end. Let's look back at it!
(all screencaps from www.cap-that.com! https://www.cap-that.com/starwars/ahsoka/107/index.php?page=2)
Tumblr media
Hera stands in front of a few New Republic senators and Chancellor Mon Mothma, trying to explain what happened and where Ahsoka Tano had gone, and how she left. As we know, Senator Xiono considers each of Hera's responses untrustworthy, and still does not believe Thrawn could return. Hera had said bluntly that she helped the New Republic "by ignoring you" straight to Xiono's face, as the senators fell into an embarrassed moment of silence. It was so funny how Mon Mothma was secretly smiling to herself before continuing on the trial.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
C-3PO makes a surprise appearance at the trial, Anthony Daniels once again reprising his iconic role. Mon Mothma lets him in, as 3PO announces that he has a message from Senator Leia Organa. He tells the senators that Leia approved of Hera's mission, providing Hera with the access she needs to be free from the trial. Xiono had said that they can't trust a "mere droid", which 3PO took offense to, and Chopper was ready to fight from the seats.
Mon Mothma spoke to Hera one-on-one, not sure what her and Leia are up to, but is concerned about the situation. Mothma herself is unsure about Thrawn's return as well, but Hera knows that they have to be ready.
Tumblr media
As the purgills continue to make their way through hyperspace, Ahsoka trains with her lightsabers in the training room on her ship. A hologram plays, showing Anakin Skywalker (in Clone Wars style) walking around and teaching Ahsoka another valuable lesson. He gives a few name drops such as Asajj Ventress, which really got me up to hear those names. Ahsoka connects and listens to her master, even if it's just a hologram. She said there was about 20 more recordings, and she has many of them. Everyone pointed out that she should show Luke these recordings, and I completely agree, as Luke can get to see his father for who he truly was before the Dark Side consumed him.
Tumblr media
The purgills finally drop out of hyperspace, arriving at Peridea. With Ahsoka and Huyang still inside their purgill, they feel rocky bumps and hear explosions. A mine field had been set up around the planet, exploding near the purgills. Ahsoka and Huyang quickly made their escape out before the purgills jumped back into hyperspace to escape themselves. They soon get a few ships on their tail, navigating through the purgill graveyard to fly away from them.
Tumblr media
While the Chimaera gets ready, Morgan provides Thrawn a record about Ahsoka Tano after he had asked for information last episode. He reads through it and sees that her master was Anakin Skywalker. The Anakin Skywalker, the one he met during the Clone Wars and had him go through a lot of chaotic plans. He looked at Morgan and asked her about that, his eyes looking wide and in surprise. I loved this nod to the Thrawn: Alliances novel, and Lars Mikkelsen portrays such a good reaction to this information. He definitely remembers all that Anakin made him go through, and wonders how Ahsoka is if her master was like that.
Tumblr media
Ezra and Sabine travel through the bare plains with the Noti, helping them move to another spot. Along the way, Ezra gets a chance to catch up on all that he's missed over the years back in their galaxy, Sabine telling him a lot of information. She also mentioned Zeb, who is "training recruits". I'm so glad we finally got Zeb mentioned, and hopefully we can see him zoon (with Kallus too since Star Wars made it canon now). Ezra’s reaction to Sabine now being Ahsoka’s apprentice was hilarious. I wonder what she specifically told Ezra and if there was anything she left out. Like, did she tell him about Clan Wren? She could be quiet about it, and she is still being quiet on how she got here.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Hiding in the graveyard, Ahsoka sits back and connects to the Force, attempting to reach Sabine. Sabine feels something familiar, but is unsure.
Tumblr media
Baylan and Shin continue to travel the plains, locating Ezra and Sabine, ready to go attack them. Baylan tells Shin to go ahead without him with the soldiers. She asks him, "You won't help?" She ends up leaving without her master to fight with the soldiers, wihout her master's help.
Tumblr media
Ezra and Sabine fight Shin and the soldiers, protecting the Noti. Sabine fights with all her might with her blasters and Ezra's lightsabers, who had refused to take his back, saying "It's yours now." Ezra fights solely with the Force, taking everyone down with his powers. He fights Shin, holding her lightsaber back and bending the blade. Ezra seems to have grown stronger with the Force, especially since he hasn't had his lightsaber for years. Eman Esfandi was still perfectly radiating "Ezra energy" the entire episode, it's so good.
Tumblr media
Ahsoka finally arrives in Peridea, still being chased by ships. Huyang navigates through the planet, avoiding the blasts. Ahsoka drops down from the plane, meeting up with Baylan and battling him. She eventually slides into the battle Ezra and Sabine are facing, and it was so dramatic, Anakin would be proud. Ezra looked so shocked, it was hilarious.
Tumblr media
Ahsoka fights Shin, stopping mid-battle to reach out to her. She tells her, "I can help you." Baylan refused to help Shin, but Ahsoka is giving her help with open arms. I wonder what went through Shin's mind before she ran off.
Tumblr media
Meanwhile, Thrawn explains to Morgan how he is preparing to leave Peridea as quickly as possible, leaving the others stranded here. Throughout the episode, Morgan kept on questioning his orders, which was just so funny the entire time. Thrawn just has to put up with her and is possibly wishing someone else he knew came to rescue him instead of her.
Also, I can't get over the height difference right here. Morgan looks so small next to him.
Tumblr media
The episode ends on a very happy note with Ahsoka getting to reunite with Ezra. The trio is back together, and Ezra is still clueless on what exactly happened before either Sabine or Ahsoka found him.
The finale of Ahsoka is already next week. This week's episode seemed a bit way too lighthearted to me, so there's some things coming up next week that will probably shock us. I really hope the finale is long (like an hour or two or something). There's been a lot of content throughout these episodes, but there's still room for a whole lot more. Let's see what happens next week.

Queer Star Wars Characters (Round 2): General Bracket Match 7
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Yrica Quell | Identity: bisexual | Media: Alphabet Squadron Trilogy
Yrica Quell is the main protagonist of the Alphabet Squadron trilogy. In her childhood, she had multiple relationships with both men and women. One of the most important was with a woman named Nette who attempted to join the Alliance, but likely never made it. At her urging, she joined the Empire to get training as a pilot but then never defected to the Rebellion because of her loyalty to her comrades. She is an exploration of the theme of redemption that undergirds the entire saga, but specifically what comes next. She is forced to defect by her mentor after participating in Operation Cinder. Traumatized and depressed, she is recruited into a New Republic task force attempting to take down her old unit of elite pilots- Shadow Wing.
This unit becomes Alphabet Squadron, where she finds a new found family. She also becomes a protegee to Hera Syndulla, as they both learn what it takes to win and establish a new government. She grows into being a leader, but abandons them after her actual involvement in Operation Cinder is exposed. She rejoins Shadow Wing to take them down from the inside. In the process, she discovers that Emperor Palpatine had a database of every Imperial atrocity. The question is how society can move forward when a large portion of them have been party to one atrocity or another, especially her.
After the war, she opens an intra-system cargo company and eventually properly begins a romantic relationship with Chass na Chadic, a member of Alphabet Squadron.
