with a final burst of turret fire the last of the enemy ships were routed, vanishing in a silent blaze against the pitch backdrop of yawning space. what little of their forces remained limped away into the hyperlanes, surviving another day to lick their wounds. their supposed quarry was nevertheless damaged, though saved due to the railjack's timely interception. the massive, ancient ship locked on to the vessel, drawing it into the safety of it's shields. 'ship secured. extending life support, captain.' the engineer at his left dutifully informs. with a nod he gestures to one of his pilots, beckoning them over to his position at the helm.

placing a large, clawed hand at the controls, comms buzzed to life, the flickering holo of sevagoth's countenance lit up in pale blue. ❝ republic vessel, your hull is breached, ❞ the static of radio waves does little do soothe the shadowy gravel of his voice. ❝ we will carry you to safe harbor. you are welcome to board until repairs are complete. ❞ as he stepped away from the helm the pilot took over, keeping the seventh end steady while while bridges were sealed, and their towering captain made his way to the airlock to greet their newly rescued guests.
