The Sahaba were the first and best generation of Muslims. We need to learn about them, love them, and emulate them. To help you learn more about the Sahaba, here is a short list of 70 amazing facts about 70 Sahaba.
‼️‼️NOTE: I did not write (RA) after each Sahabi’s name, as it is recommended to say it but not obligatory to write it. (RA) is short for Radi Allahu Anhu/haa/hum which means ‘May Allah be pleased with him/her/them’.

my experience at the great comet
needless to say, it was fantastic. -i was sitting in the front row of the back mezz and i could see everything and it was incredible. -brad came up to us beforehand and shouted "NYET, NYET, NYET!" at things such as leaving your cellphones on during the performance and talking during the show, etc -then prologue started. and everyone in the audience was so engaged from that point on it was great. we had such a good audience omg -cathryn played her clarinet in my face and it was magical - celia mei rubin's arms are my RELIGION, holy shit??? she's tiny but so fucking strong i love it?? she's incredible -okay fast forward to natasha and the bolkonskys...after mary said "and he looked at her once head to toe" nicholas belton managed to mutter "not in my house" at shoba (who was playing natasha) right before mary continued with the lyric and i dIED -fast forward to the duel: balaga ate sonya out next to the bolkonsky chair, anatole seduces marya, marya whips some poor ensemble member on the top of the stage, and let's not forget the special appearance by all eighteen of josh canfield's abs - everything was fantastic up until in my house - brittain is in the middle of her line and her mic cuts out - cue my heart dropping - then ALL THE SOUND CUTS OUT - and suddenly there's an announcement over a hidden loudspeaker: "EXCUSE US. WE'RE HAVING SOME TECHNICAL DIFFICULTIES. ALL ACTORS PLEASE EXIT THE STAGE." - shoba and grace and brittain are just kind of standing there laughing nervously and eventually grace beckons to shoba and they exit - the audience starts murmuring and everything is quiet - until a man behind me starts singing: "whOOAAOAOAAAOHOAAA" - getting the message, i stand up and shout "HEY! HEY! HEY!" - and the WHOLE AUDIENCE STARTS SINGING THE ABDUCTION - IT WAS INCREDIBLE -EVERYONE STARTED CLAPPING AND SHAKING THEIR EGG SHAKERS AND SINGING - eventually the song died out and everyone started clapping again it was hilarious - scott stangland (pierre), had to stay in the circular pit the whole time, and i'm not sure if he was staying in character or drinking from the wine bottle to cope with the fact that things had gone horribly wrong - then the guitar player next to him started the wave - and since its a circular theatre, the wave extended through the entire imperial - after that ended, heath came out to his spot to loud applause - he grinned and waved as the rest of the cast came out - they weren't getting the okay to continue the show so they just stood there in silence in their spots right before in my house - after a long pause, lucas, who stood on the top of the stairs, called "YOU GUYS REMEMBER WHAT HAPPENED, RIGHT?" everyone says "yes!" and then grace comes onstage and the audience ROARS - they continued the show and it was terrific anyway, tl/dr: props to the great comet cast retaining their good humor and taking a major technical difficulty in stride.

Court of Kufa
On the 13th of Moharram, the court was full of people.
This day, the court was held in the Masjid.
Obaid Maloon (l.u.) came in
the Masjid from a side door and sat on his chair. First, he ordered to bring theHoly Head of Imam Hussain (as), which was presented in a
golden tray.
Then all the tribes came in, one by one bringing in the
Holy Heads on spears and telling details of the martyrs. The Yazidi people (l.u.) were laughing and raising slogans.
After the Holy Heads, Obaidullah (l.u.) ordered to present the Holy Family (sa). The holy caravan entered the Masjid through the door for ladies and went to the ladies section. Imam Sajjad (as)
went with Imam Baqir (as) in front of Obaidullah (l.u.).
When Obaidullah (l.u.) saw one very weak and ill young man, with some injured children, he said: Who is he?. Umar bin Harees (l.u.)
said: Ali bin Hussain bin Ali (as). Obaid (l.u.) said: But Ali bin Hussain (as) Allah martyred in Karbala, then which Ali (as) is he?
Imam Sajjad (as) said: Allah is not a murderer.
He captures the spirit (Rooh). Murdering and capturing the spirit are
not the same thing.
Allah curses on murderers. Ali Akbar (as) is my younger
brother. Obaid (l.u.) said: You are cursing me?
Imam Sajjad (as) replied: Allah curses on the murderer of a Momin in the HolyQuran.
Obaid (l.u.) said: Call Jallad (beheader), he cursed on me. Syyeda Zainab (sa) embraced Syyed Sajjad (as) and said: O Maloon, you
dare to say this, to martyr the Imam of the Time, if you want to martyr him then martyr me with him. Obaid (l.u.) said: Who is she?
He was terrified. Mother Fizzah (sa) introduced the Holy Lady (sa). Obaid
(l.u.) said: You do not understand, what Allah did to you?
Syyeda Zainab (sa): Praise be to Allah, Who honoured us
with his Nabi (saww) and kept us Tahir and kept Rijs away from us. And Allah
prescribed Jihad on some people and they went to their Maqtal themselves. Soon Allah will gather both parties, then you will see who the winner is; that day your mother will mourn for you.
Then Syyeda Zainab (sa) delivered a Sermon disclosing Haqq and reality.
The people were astonished and Obaid (l.u.) was just talking nonsense. One old and blind Sahabi, Abdullah
bin Afeef (as), thought it was a son of Maola Ali (asws) delivering the Sermon.
Obaidullah (l.u.) became angry and said: remove the
curtain in front of the ladies. When he said this, Imam
Hussain (as) opened his
holy eyes and looked to Obaid (l.u.).
He became terrified and a
flame from Hell rose from the mosque to burn him and
his court. Obaid (l.u.) came down from the pulpit and ran to his house. Imam Sajjad
(as) said: You are running away from this fire, how will
you escape from Hell fire, which is your fate?
Obaid (l.u.) told his people to
send them to prison,
Abdullah bin Afeef (as)
When Abdullah bin Afeef (as) heard the Sermon of Syyeda Zainab (sa), he asked: Which son of Maola Ali (as) is speaking?
His guide Saad Azadi said: Not the son, but the holy daughter of Imam Ali(as). Abdullah bin Afeef (as) started weeping.
He sacrificed one eye in the Battle of Jamal and the other in the Battle of Siffeen.
When Obaid (l.u.) talked nonsense, Abdullah (as)
said: O ibne Marjana; son of the prostitute Sumayya; liar
son of liar; stop your nonsense, O killer of
Prophets (as) and Truthful people (as); curse on you, your father and your party. You ill-fated, you are
proud after martyring the son of Rasoolallah (saww)? Obaid (l.u.)
said: Catch him, I want to kill him myself. Abdullah (as)
said: I was praying my whole life that I can get martyrdom by the hands of the worst of creations.
Obaid (l.u.) ordered his soldiers to capture him.
Abdullah raised a slogan to call his tribesmen: Ya Mabroor! 700
swords were unsheathed, some other friends of their tribe also stood up.
Obaidullah (l.u.) was terrified and kept quiet. Then he saw the flame chasing him and he ran to his house. All the people dispersed.
Then Obaid (lu) sent 1000 soldiers to arrest Abdullah (as) from his house, and another battalion under Mohammed bin Ash’as (l.u.) to help.
Abdullah (as) finished Asr prayer and heard horses. He
said to his daughter: Give me
my sword and you go on top
of the roof and keep telling me from which side the
enemies are attacking me, so I can fight without eyesight and listen, my martyrdom is near.
His tribe, Bani Azd, resisted, but the soldiers were more in
number and they defeated the Azd tribe.
The army broke the door and came inside the yard.
Abdullah (as) delivered Rijz and he started fighting
under the guidance of his daughter. Abdullah (as) killed hundreds of enemies.
At last he fell, suffering many injuries. The soldiers
captured him and presented him to Obaidullah (l.u.). Obaidullah (l.u.) said:
Allah defeated you. Abdullah (as) replied: Allah gave me countless favours and martyrdom, while you are disgraced in this world and the Hereafter.
Obaidullah (l.u.) asked: What do you say about Usman?
Abdullah (as) answered: Leave Usman, ask me what I
say about you and Yazid
Maloon! Obaidullah (l.u.)
ordered to bring in a camel hide and commanded Jallad to martyr Abdullah on the
camel-hide in the court.
He instructed his soldiers to take him through
the streets and to hang him in Kanasa-e-Kufa to terrify the people.
On the 14th of Moharram, the Holy Head of Imam
Hussain (as)was taken to every street and bazaar of
Kufa by Obaidullah’s (l.u.) order.
Martyrdom News.
Obaid (lu) called his scribe to write a letter to Yazid (l.u.), to
give him the news of the victory and the martyrdom and to ask him what to do
with the prisoners of the Holy Family (sa): should they
be martyred as well, or should he release them or should he send them to
Shaam?
A second letter was sent to Madina with the news of the
martyrdom. One messenger took Yazid’s (l.u.) letter to
Shaam and Abdul Malik bin Abi Harees (l.u.) went to Madina.
When the governor of Madina, Umar bin Saeed
(l.u.), received the letter, he told the messenger to announce it in Madina. When
he made it known in Mohalla Bani Hashim, the whole Mohalla started doing Matam.
The Governor (l.u.) delivered a speech in Masjid-eNabwi: Pay Allegiance to Yazid (l.u.). He is not your enemy, it was
due to some reason that he
martyred Imam Hussain (as).
Abdullah ibne Saib stood up and said: Can there be any reason or compulsion to martyr the son of Rasool Allah (saww)?
The ladies of Madina gathered in the holy house to
pay condolence and to do Matam.
Hazrat Aqeel’s (as) five daughters took the
procession of ladies, doing Matam, to the mausoleum of Rasoolallah (saww). All men were paying condolence in the mosque to Hazrat Mohammed Hanafiya (as) and Abdullah bin Jafar-e-Tayyar(as).
The other messenger reached Shaam. Yazid (l.u.) answered to send the Holy
Family (sa) to Shaam. The messenger, Bareed Taleeq
(l.u.), reached Kufa. People like Khaoli (l.u.), Amru bin
Hujjaj (l.u.),Shimr (l.u.) and Haseen bin Nameer (l.u.) were present, when
Obaidullah (l.u.) read the letter and said: Yazid (l.u.)
has ordered to send the Holy Family (sa), along with the Holy Heads, to Shaam. He
is waiting for them impatiently. Obaid (l.u.) discussed and planned
the travel with his advisors (l.u.), because many people
in Kufa were not happy with what happened in Karbala. e.g. Saeed bin Abdullah
Qaqah Khazai from Basra and some tribes around
Karbala were planning to attack the caravan to release the prisoners and to get
hold of the Holy Heads, to bury them with the martyrs
in Karbala with honour.
The Governors of Asqalan, Musal, Jehnia and Takreet
were also attending the meeting.
They decided to send prominent people and a battalion of army with the caravan and to lead to caravan
through the cities of those Governors present, to terrify the people.
So, they decided the route through Qadsia al-Baghdad,
Takreet, Musal, Hiran, Halab to Shaam; a journey of 1057
miles! Obaidullah(l.u.) told Shimr (l.u.) and Amru bin Hujjaj (l.u.) to take 500
soldiers each and that Shees bin Rubi (l.u.), Khaoli bin
Yazid (l.u.) and each chief accompanying the caravan should have 500 soldiers as well.
Fifty Maloons were having the duty to carry the heads on spears.

Stealthing in 'I May Destroy You' can happen to anyone. Here's what you should know - ABC Life
Men who stealth see their victims as possessions, rather than people who have the right to make their own consensual decisions about sex, explains Ali Howarth, a program specialist at 1800RESPECT.
There are online communities dedicated to teaching men how to secretly remove a condom during sex, as well as praising those who do.
Reasons for stealthing cited in these forums include sex "feels better without a condom", for the "thrill of degradation", and a right to "spread their seed", 2019 research from gynaecologist and academic Dr Sumayya Ebrahim found.
"[These statements] are reflective of the dismissive attitude that stealthers have toward their partners' rights and wishes," she writes.
"It is also reflective of them prioritising their own sexual gratification at the expense of their own health and their partner's health and wishes."
A caller to ABC radio program Triple J Hack in 2017 who claimed to stealth said while he knew about the risks, "there's a risk crossing the road and we all do that".
Dr Brianna Chesser is a senior lecturer in criminology and justice at RMIT University and registered psychologist. She says stealthing is about dominance and power, and it can happen to anyone.
"It's one of those things no-one ever talks about, but people are starting to turn their minds to something that has been happening forever.

I have a problem where I always doubt in any statement I said or action that I do, that there as some kufr in it, and that I became a kafir, the thing is i have doubts in other ibaadah but there is rules in these that i follow like I know how many times to wash, what to wash, how to pray, I have doubts with my fasting intentions sometimes but the issue is with kufr, I doubt that I became a kafir because I do not know exactly what constitutes kufr, like i read nullifies of islam but with no help.
Lafz (word) which is the singular form of alfaz means word and expression. Kufr is a noun derived from the verb “kafara”; lexically, it means to cover something. A person who covers the belief in his heart is therefore called a “kafir” (unbeliever). Terminologically, alfaz al-kufr are the words that makes a person an unbeliever and causes him to exit the religion.
Words that make a believer an unbeliever are divided into three. They are: istihza, which means to mock, to make fun of somebody; istikhfaf, which means; to disdain and to despise the principles called the essentials of the religion; to deny an Islamic decree openly or to blaspheme things that are regarded as holy by the religion.
To mock and make fun of Allah’s personality, attributes, deeds, names, commands and prohibitions even though jokingly, to despise them and to blaspheme Allah make a person exit the religion. (al-Fatawa`l-Hindiyya, II, 258). The following is stated in a verse: "Was it at Allah and His, signs and His Messenger that ye were mocking? Make no excuses. Ye rejected faith after accepting it." (at-Tawba, 9/65, etc.)
To mock the institution of prophethood and prophethood, to despise them are regarded as blasphemy. Therefore, a person who despises and makes fun of the other prophets or Hazrat Muhammad (pbuh) exits the religion of Islam. The following is stated in some verses: "Those who annoy Allah and His Messenger― Allah has cursed them in this world and in the Hereafter, and has prepared for them a humiliating Punishment." (al-Ahzab, 33/57). "Among them are men who molest the Prophet and say "He is (all) ear." Say "He listens to what is best for you; he believes in Allah, has faith in the Believers and is a Mercy to those of you who believe": but those who molest the Prophet will have a grievous penalty." (at-Tawba, 9/61).
According to the majority of Islamic scholars like Abu Hanifa and his followers, Imam Shafii, Imam Ahmad b. Hanbal and Imam Malik, a person who blasphemes the Prophet exits the religion and it is necessary to kill him. A person who blasphemes the other prophets exits the religion and he is killed. (Ibn Taymiyya, as-Sarimu`l-Maslul, publ. Muhammed Muhyiddin Abdülhamid, Egypt 1960, p. 512, 565).
To curse holy books and the Quran or to utter words that deny their originals are regarded as blasphemy. To mock the Quran, one chapter or verse of it are blasphemy. (Aliyyu`l-Qari, Sharhu`l-Fiqhu`l-Akbar, Egypt 1323 H., p.151, etc; al-Haythami, az-Zawajir, I, 30). It is blasphemy to say that the Quran is not the word of Allah but words of a human being. Walid b. Mughira (d.1/622) stated the following about the Quran: "This is nothing but magic, derived from of old. This is nothing but the word of a mortal." Allah stated the following about Walid: “Soon will cast him into Hell-Fire.” (al-Muddaththir, 74/24, etc.)
To curse angels, to mock, to blame and to despise them are also blasphemy. Saying that Jibril made a mistake while bringing the revelation and conveyed it to Hazrat Muhammad instead of Hazrat Ali makes a person exit the religion (Ibn Abidin, Raddu`l-Mukhtar, III, 292; al-Fatawa`l-Hindiyya, II, 266).
It is blasphemy to say that the Companions are unbelievers. To despise, to mock and to loathe the Companions are regarded as bid’ah and deviation. It is controversial among kalam scholars whether a believer who says that another believer or some other believers are unbelievers is regarded to have exited religion because the hadiths about the issue are wahid (reported by one person only); the reason why those who say that the Companions are unbelievers are regarded as unbelievers is the following evidence:
The Companions are praised in the verses of the Quran: "Allah's Good Pleasure was on the Believers when they swore Fealty to thee under the Tree: He knew what was in their hearts and He sent down Tranquility to them and He rewarded them with a speedy Victory." (al-Fath, 48/18) "The vanguard (of Islam)― the first of those who forsook (their homes) and of those who gave them aid, and (also) those who follow them in (all) good deeds― well― pleased is Allah with them, as are they with Him: for them hath He prepared Gardens under which rivers flow, to dwell therein forever: that is the Supreme Felicity." (at-Tawba, 9/100)
There are many hadiths that praise the Companions: "Do not curse my Companions. I swear by Allah, in whose hand of power my soul is, that if one of you donated gold as big as Mount Uhud, it would not amount to as much as one or two handfuls of gold donated by them." (Muslim, Fadailu`s-Sahaba, 54; Abu Dawud, Sunnah, 11; Tirmidhi, Manaqib, 59; Ahmad b. Hanbal, Musnad, 111, II). "Ten people are in Paradise: Abu Bakr, Umar, Uthman, Ali, Talha, Zubayr, Abdurrahman, Sa`d, Said and Abu Ubayda" (Tirmidhi, Manaqib, 26). "The best of my ummah is the generation that I am together with. Then come those who follow them and then those coming after them." (Bukhari, Fadailu`s-Sahaba, I, Riqaq, 7). A person who says that the Companions are unbelievers condemns a generation that conveyed the Quran to us.
There are various fatwas stating that those who curse scholars and fiqh scholars without any reason exit the religion of Islam but if it is considered that those who curse the Companions, who were praised by verses and hadiths, are not regarded as unbelievers but deviators and the people of bid’ah, it will be more appropriate to leave those people alone with their sins. (Aliyyu`l-Qari, ibid, 156-159; al-Fatawa`l-Hindiyya, II, 270 etc.; al-Haythami, ibid, I, 31; Ibn Abidin, Raddu`l-Mukhtar, III, 293, Majmuatu`r-Rasail, I, 360).
Most of Hanafis say that if a person regards cursing, mocking and despising the Companions as permissible and does those deeds, he will regarded as an unbeliever and that if he does those deeds without regarding them as permissible he will regarded as a fasiq (sinner). However, some Hanafi fiqh scholars say that if the same words are uttered for Hz. Abu Bakr and Umar by a person, that person will exit the religion. Imam Malik holds the view that a person who curses Hz. Prophet needs to be killed and a person who curses the Companions needs to be punished so that he will be educated. According to Ahmad b. Hanbal, a person who curses one of the Companions is beaten severely. (Aliyyu`l-Qari, ibid, II, 410-411; Ibn Abidin, Raddu`l-Mukhtar, III, 293, Majmuatu`r-Rasail, I, 359; Ibn Taymiyya, as-Sarimu`l-Maslul, p. 561).
The words that make a person who has uttered them exit the religion are regarded as valid only if they are uttered by a free will and deliberately. If a person is made utter words of blasphemy by threats, force and pressure and if the force is complete, that is, if he is threatened to be killed, to be amputated, harmed severely and beaten severely, he is allowed to utter words of blasphemy. The following is stated in a verse: "Anyone who, after accepting faith in Allah, utters unbelief― except under compulsion, his heart remaining firm in Faith― but such as open their breast to unbelief― on them is Wrath from Allah, and theirs will be a dreadful Penalty." (an-Nahl, 16/106). This verse shows that a person who is forced to utter words of blasphemy does not exit the religion. As a matter of fact, Makkan polytheists forced Yasir and his wife Sumayya to exit Islam and killed them under torture. They threw Yasir`s son Ammar into a well and tortured him; Ammar could not put up with the torture and said that he exited Islam through his tongue though his heart was full of belief; thus, he saved his life. When he went to Hz. Prophet, he talked to Ammar and allowed him to say the same thing if he was tortured again. The verse above was sent down upon this incident. (Ibnu`l-Athir, Usdu`l-Ghaba, I V, 130 etc.)
An important reminder:
It is stated that to utter words of blasphemy is religiously dangerous but those who utter them are not addressed as unbelievers. It is objectionable to call those who utter those words unbelievers because a word might seem as blasphemy but it might not make the person who utters it an unbeliever. A person does not become an unbeliever unless he denies through his heart. Since we cannot know it, it is not appropriate to call any person who utters words of blasphemy an unbeliever.
Therefore, these explanations need to be made in order to make people avoid uttering words of blasphemy but it is not appropriate to say to those who utter them, “You have become unbelievers.”
