i kinda love just how often art looks like absolute hot garbage from a dumpster until it's like... 90% done. because after spending so long hating it, and pushing yourself to trust the process, and muscling through the insecurity and discomfort, that moment when it finally COMES TOGETHER??? is so bloody glorious, it makes all of that itching feeling so worth it.

like this applies to just about anything I think (maybe more to things with a visual- or tactile component, but I can see it for written media as well) but right now it's is specifically about an amigurumi doll i'm making-- and for like the last three hours i've been working on it, it's been looking like a horrible little old man, a nightmare-realm chibi-version of Geri-from-Pixar-fame, and the second i placed the first little chunk of hair over the forehead, it became instantly adorable, and I can't wait to show off the finished thing ❤️

blind cats are very very good at memorizing their environment (so long as you don't move the furniture around) but every now and then shams and noor (mostly shams tbh) will get overexcited and run straight into the wall at full speed and it's the most excruciating thing to witness

Probably one of the biggest things that influences the ecologies, agriculture, and economics on Aran is the fact that there are giant fucking dragons that eat rock, ore, and crystals living under the surface of the planet that surface to either supplement their diet with vegetation and meat or to poop.

The poop mounds and latrines of these giant wyrms are full of so many minerals and good organic soil as well as lumps of metals and gems.

The richest centaur herds tend to have a wyrm latrine someone on their territory that they mine for fertilizer, gems, and metals. And they tend to keep wyrms frequenting their territory by leaving offerings of milk and cheese at wyrm holes.

Ya know I used to really like dogs but now I’m almost repulsed by them because the last like 5-10 years has consisted of SO many people either not training their dogs at all, or teaching them bad habits/behaviors because they think it’s ~cute~ and you can’t know just by looking at a dog if it’s going to be well behaved, or a monster that thinks it’s okay to jump on people and get in their faces and shit because their owner has never been disciplined with them in their lives

Surface plates are flat and plane surface used as a horizontal reference space for dimensional measurement, it's a base for inspection, toolmaking, gauging, spotting, marking, and layout. They can be made from granite, metal, cast iron, or glass. The method involves the spreading of 0.1 ml of inoculum over the surface of an agar plate that has been partially dried to make it more absorptive.
