3. What was your Durges dream before everything happened? What did they want to become? Did they want to stay with their family or did they strive to go adventuring?

In both his own mind and his adoptive families', they all probably expected him to take over the family apothecary once he was old enough to do so. Maybe a travelling healer of some kind if he had wanted to explore the Sword Coast with his sister.

As a child, he was fascinated watching his mother heal up small cuts with simple magic. The thing that really got him though was watching her listen to some poor soul give an entire list of symptoms, and within seconds she would know which little glass jars to pick off of the tall shelf behind her, how to mix them all together, and have it just work. He didn't talk much as a child, but when he did, it would be to ask which ingredients did what.

6.Sarevok, what was his relationship with your Durge like? Did they like each other? Was it complicated?

I already answered this one here so I will instead add more to it!!

In the past, he would have disliked and written Sarevok off. Sarevok likely would have done the same to Kaidos in turn, and Orin probably would have tried to scold him for not liking him either since she cleared adored her grandfather.

I'd like to think that it was Kaidos who tipped Gortash off about the Iron Throne, and 'let' him have it since it's tied to Sarevok rather than the current Bhaalian clergy. All as an act of petty disrespect to him, of course.

And then during in-game events with Sarevok, Kai would have felt that familiar churning of hatred and disgust which seems to happen a lot on his journey of remembering who he was/is, and that would have probably been the first and only time he gave Sarevok more than one word answers during a conversation.

-sassy, arrogant, or even mean at times, a menace on the surface. Deep down he has a good heart.

- tries to remember his past,, he's quite mad at himself for not remembering faces of his loved ones :')

- Overall, tries to live a peaceful life in his cottage in the Mondstadt woods, he's a mage quite good at spells so he makes sure no one will find his house.

silver's outside appearance doesn't differ much !! since she is a very conserved person i feel like a lot of her outfits (even her academy uniform) all express who she is p well. put-together and tidy, she looks very proper 95% of the time. i think if anything this can make her come across as snobby, but she's not, she's just a girl boss!!!!

so inesa genuinely believes she's like. The Best Ever. her inflated ego comes from a lot of trauma i won't unpack here cause it gets unpacked later, but that ego does cause a lot of problems. she believes she's the best and strongest so naturally let's say someone has to do this spell or that enchantment she will ABSOLUTELY argue till the sun goes down about how she should get to do it because she's the best ever. end of discussion.

🍋 What is their kryptonite/ultimate weakness?

malachai's ultimate weakness is that he's so unwilling to trust anyone. i think i've mentioned this before but he only trusts two (2) whole people and and one of them is himself LMAO. it's not due to an inflated ego like inesa but rather he's been let down by a lot of ppl in his life (more trauma i'll unpack in the story) and so he's hyper-independent. will this bite him in the ass? probably. does he care? no.

🧅What is surefire to make your OC cry? Who knows of this information?

i'd say most likely death. shion doesn't really express his emotions outwardly, he internalizes a lot and i'd argue it's difficult to make him cry. since he is fairly stoic and seemingly put together nobody really knows that information. he's out of touch and will pack away his emotions if it gets in the way of his objective. so i do think death would break his stone cold disposition since he's literally the most moral character in the story. and if HE unintentionally caused that death......? he'd crumble for suresies :D

Okay buckle in, somehow this post will be weirder than any of my f1 stuff bcs for some reason I'm very intense about historical figures, I think I just have a tendency to treat them like blorbos

Mostly I'm endeared to powerful figures, idk why, it's the way it is. Okay so obviously you already know I like Napoleon(and Wellington to an extent), that really doesn't need to be emphasized anymore

Since being in Austria, I feel super endeared to Maria Theresa. She just seemed like such a boss! I think she's just really cool. Her father changed the plan of succession so she'd become Empress(rather than her cousins), but immediately upon taking power, she was immediately embroiled in war over her being the new ruler(everyone who had signed the treaty of succession suddeny reversed) But she defended her rule of the Habsburg monarchy! I think the coolest part about her is that her husband, who married into the Habsburgs, was supposed to be in charge, but she wouldn't let him be involved at all practically and was the de facto ruler of the Holy Roman Empire for like 20 years. She had 16 children and was basically constantly pregnant and having kids while involved in war, yet still held power and guided Austro-Hungary through it all 🥹 I think it's very funny also that she was laying out so many reforms, guiding the country basically just herself, and still found time to write letters to all their kids and be an overbearing mother. Also she was Marie Antoinette's mother?? I'm still shocked by how many important kids she had. If you've been to any part of the former Austro-Hungarian(+ Bohemian) Empire, she really left her mark, there's soooo much stuff named after her. The statue of her in between the Kunsthistorisches and the Natural History Museum in Vienna is really cool, and that she has a whole Platz named after her with her giant statue!!! I think it's just really admirable that a woman at that period of time had so much power and ruled so efficiently. (MY god sorry I wrote so much)

Okay now I'll try to refrain from the historical rambles, I also like: Julius Caeser(cliche sorry I know), Dmitri Shostakovich(my favorite composer ever), Pyotr Tchaikovsky(pls read about his sugar mommy patron), Erwin Rommel(I like his nickname: The Desert Fox), J.C. Leyendecker(favorite artist, I am obsessed with his work), Alphonse Mucha, Calvin Coolidge(not the best president by far but the anecdotes about his social awkwardness and quietness are hilarious to me), Ernst Gideon von Laudon(not completely insane about him, but it's like with the Napoleon Crossing the Alps painting, I saw a painting and bust of him and now feel weirdly endeared.) And then there's probably some others I can't recall atm because it's 3 am

I think my top three though are Napoleon, Julius Caesar and Maria Theresa. They're all just very: "Catie saw a painting/statue and is now very weird about it." And then being in the vicinity of so much history made it 1000x worse. Things I saw in Vienna that made me go "oh my god it's blorbo from my history book": Napoleon Crossing The Alps painting(I seriously sat in that room for probably 20 mins just staring at it, I didn't want to leave) + some other various Napoleon artifacts in the Heeresgesichtliche, a very nice bust of Julius Caesar, and literally the entirety of Vienna had Maria Theresa everywhere

HIIIIII THIS MAKES ME SO HAPPY!!!! I am not one to share OC stuff here purely bc nobody ever really sees it bc of how tumblr tags work but I will ABSOLUUUUTELY always share stuff about my OCs if anyone wants to see or hear about them!!!!!!!! They live constantly in my brain and do funny little dances in my head (force me to write very very long and detailed stories.) And thank you so much I'm so glad you like my designs ahhhh! :]

My OCs are in my webcomic Another Story! Which currently has 4 full episodes completed! It takes place in an enormous building called the Umbers-Elsik Megatower on Araelia, a planet that recently lost it's ability to support life. The Megatower is the one remaining safe haven in the Araelian system. All the characters are the same alien species known as 'anthronoids', except for Umbot, who is a robot.

This is the main cast!

From left to right:

Calvin Wykowski (he/him) is the main protagonist. He just got a job working for Charles Umbers and it is unexpectedly chaotic and strange.

Edwin O'Leary (he/him) is Calvin's new work partner and part of the reason that the aforementioned job is chaotic. Eds is easily excitable and loud and extremely friendly and there is a definitive personality clash between him and Cal.

Mina Southcourt (she/her) is Ed's longstanding best friend. She doesn't like Calvin all that much because he randomly got put in the job she was set up to get promoted into. She is the oldest of the 8 Southcourt children.

Umbot (he/him) is the world-weary robot mascot of the Megatower, who leans towards instability as a result of his self-sabotaging lifestyle and shaky programming flaws. Umbot was created by Umbers.

Charles Umbers (he/him) (almost always referred to simply as Umbers) is one of the founders of the Megatower. He is the CEO of Umbers Inc., his robotics company that made the Megatower possible in the first place. He doesn't hold any real political power in the tower, but his company plays an important part of everyone's lives in the Megatower.

Motley Elsik (he/him) (also usually referred to by last name) was the other founder of the Megatower. By birth a rare type of anthronoid with the ability to "create using the element of life, have an influence on the Will of Araelia." A scientist hellbent on discovering the origin of Araelia's lifeforce. Two traits that contradicted one another due to the nature of spirituality and common beliefs on Araelia. He was always well loved by all, but he spiraled emotionally after the construction of the Megatower, trying desperately to find a fix for the dying planet. At the peak of his spiraling, Elsik disappeared completely. At the point of the series starting, Elsik has been dead for 11 years. (thus this depiction of him doesn't correspond with the others)

The main plot setup is that Umbers is constructing a device to try and stabilize Araelia, to do what Elsik couldn't. Calvin was a new hire brought on for this special project alongside Umbers Inc. employee Edwin. Mina is an Umbers Inc. intern who hates the system but cares about having an important job. Umbot is a bit of a supervisor to Ed and Cal and loves to see all of them fail as miserably as possible.

how did you get the idea for spring.....

HOOH OKAY cracks knuckles this was 2019 and i was in middle school and i was on a high of just creating characters cuz i felt like it cuz i didnt have the layers of criticism in my brain just yet. i created cuz it was fun and i wanted to play with so many ideas (NOT A BAD THING!!! I WAS A KID HAVING FUN!!) anyway. yknow those prosthetic runner's legs? the ones that have a thin sheet of metal to run on as to keep flexibility but with still plenty of strength? she was supposed to be based on that because they have a.... springing motion in a way. that was pretty much it and i also thought they looked cool. i have just always really liked robots as well. wall-e was my fav movie when i was younger

theo technically has two names! there's theodore and then there's yeonu. yeonu is only what he goes by w/ his extended family.

theo was never allowed to have a pet as a child... most of his adolescence was spent entirely alone. he really likes odious (matthias's cat) but playing with her makes him feel a little sad... he can't help but think that he wouldn't have been such a lonely child if he had a companion.

theo really likes playing sports. he's the best at soccer and the worst at tennis (are these the only two sports i know anything about? ...perhaps). he doesn't actually watch sports, though. he's only interested in actually playing and feeling all that energy and movement. he's also very competitive athletically. he'll play dirty.

so like their name is parker and theyre super fucking old like so old that they dont even know how old they are, they have dated a few humans in the past but it never lasted long

they have been dating the demon skylar for like maybe the human equivelant of 40 years bc like angel & demon, both immortal and timeless n shit

parker is technically not their name but a) humans cant pronounce angel names and b) they dont remember their actual name

they were quite a high up angel but they basically just got bored and wondered off one day and ngl the angels are all like so unorganised and stupid that none of them realised - many others have done this before also and many of them live like fully as humans, parker does not, and they dont even really have a proper human form (they do get one like maybe halfway ish through the story) but every time they change into their human for something is different and sometimes its small like freckles but sometimes its like the entire body is different or the hair is completely different, they do end up settling mostly on a more consistent form but still change the hair a lot

the Guys i am usually thinking about are my characters from what ive been calling trinityverse as a placeholder title (which now that im thinking about it is not really an appropriate name anymore but whatever) i am currently trying to develop them into a comic and/or multimedia experience

its a story about fame and why we make art and also being friends with bad people who you love deeply but most importantly making TV in the early 2000s

HG is an arrogant TV writer/director who wants to be remembered forever, whatever it takes. Jonah is her best friend w major mental health problems and lead actor in her show, Hell/Bent, an early 2000s hit about a teenage serial killer seeking revenge on his abusive father.

Basically in 2004 HG began her Life Plan To Be Remembered Forever, which was to make a TV show about a serial killer while actively killing people to "perfect her craft," ideally ending in her intentional arrest and execution which would cement her show as a cult classic for years to come. Jonah did not know about this life plan. He does know his really intense best friend from college is making a TV show and wants him as the lead. They feed on each other in a really unhealthy way because Jonah only feels alive when he's acting and trusts HG with his life even as she continues to push him into more and more dangerous extremes as an actor.

this is all set against the backdrop of the rise of prestige TV in the early 2000s and how the US started to think of TV as art.

anyway these guys are my world they are like fully fleshed people in my mind. i made them when i first started film school and developed the story over my time here so i feel like they went to college with me <3

We're making a sandwich out of this, we gonna start with aspects of MSQ that she likes, put all the MSQ shit she hates in the middle, and then we're gonna end with which sections of MSQ she enjoyed the most! :> Buckle up, friends, and let me spin you a bit of O'ravi's tale! 🥪☕

Best part of MSQ, as in "the aspects she likes the most": getting to meet such a huge variety of people, see all these incredible vistas, making a positive impact on people's lives, the friends she's made along the way, just- the incredible depths of love that she gets to experience. In some ways, it's her ultimate dream come true- she set out to become a minstrel, she wanted to see the heart of humanity, to learn of other cultures, she wanted to just...it's hard to put into words, but she wanted to live life to the fullest. To experience fully, to understand fully, it's sort of like- you know how Y'shtola's dream is to uncover the truths and secrets that lie at the heart of the world? O'ravi's dream is very very similar, except instead of being like, based on knowledge of the star, it's centered around people- their histories, their folklores and languages and songs, the love and loss and hope, the rage and sorrow and despair. O'ravi loves the star, but her truest love has always been people, not unlike Venat. And being the WoL is the only path that allows this dream to be reality.

Worst part of MSQ, as in "the aspects of it she doesn't like": she has a whole ass list and it is LONG. Really long, and it includes watching people die, people using her for their own political ends, having to put up with people she fucking hates, being everyone's Ace In The Hole, people making her play the kingmaker, people acting entitled to her time and energy (this is the biggest reason why she currently dislikes and distrusts Wuk Lamat T^T*), having to kill people literally constantly, the pain that all the fighting leaves her in and the toll it takes on her mind and body (she used to ignore it/not give a shit but she can't do that anymore)... Long story short, there is a Reason(TM) why she's a dark knight ldfkjghdkjgh, and she might be a paladin now but that doesn't mean she's hung up the greatsword. Far from it. (She has hung up Shattered Heart (formerly Zephirin's sword) though, much to Aymeric's relief fdklgjhdkgj. Not sure what sword is her main one now.)

*IT'S NOT REALLY WUK'S FAULT, O'RAVI IS JUST REALLY FUCKED UP AND HAS BEEN BURNT TOO MANY TIMES BEFORE 😭 I believe that she means well and is just overenthusiastic but O'ravi 100% does not, tbh she almost resents Wuk Lamat for sins that she hasn't even committed yet, just on account of the way she, like, approached O'ravi like the fact that she was gonna agree to help her was already a done deal and assumed the answer would be "sure let's go" without really even considering the possibility that she could - and had the right to - say no....

Worst part of MSQ, as in "time that sucked the most": base Endwalker and Stormblood (base + patches). Somehow those ended up being a lot worse and a lot harder than post-Vault Heavensward, because at least in Heavensward she had the support of her friends and the Fortemps, it was a conflict she had very personal stakes in and no one was forcing her to be there (unlike SB), and she had hope that she could save Estinien. Endwalker was just....a different can of worms which I'm putting under a cut in a bit.

Stormblood was bad because she absolutely did NOT want anything to do with that war and she didn't believe for a second that winning it was possible (Nidhogg and the Horde had reasons she could understand and she was still semi-naive and optimistic back then, but the Empire felt incomprehensible and unstoppable and she'd become extremely pessimistic by then). She just wanted to go back home to Ishgard and be left alone to grieve her friends. To sum up her biggest issue with Stormblood: Hien found it odd that she was dead silent most of the time, and he once asked for her thoughts about his plan to flood Doma Castle. Her answer amounted to "I don't have any thoughts because there's no point in thinking, it's not my job- I'm just here to be a good obedient weapon and kill whatever you tell me to. Why would I waste my time having an opinion on something when what I feel/think/need doesn't matter to anyone?"

Yeah it was really fucked up lfdkjgfdghldk. (For the record, I do like Stormblood, this is all just O'ravi's feelings about it, and they're extremely negative because it was the lowest point of her life by a landslide. She was overwhelmed by trauma and grief and it kind of broke her, she was afforded no time to process anything that happened before she was thrown into war as the Alliance's #1 Weapon. Her opinions are not my opinions, please don't come at me FKJGLHDKGJH)

Endwalker fucking sucked because uhh.....well. She held herself personally responsible for the Final Days. The rest of this is going under a cut!

It's kinda hard to get into details but between the time loop and the fact that she personally slew Zodiark, not only does she believe the blood of everyone who became blasphemies is on her hands, she also believes she doomed the Ancients - and Azem, personally - and sacrificed them on the altar to save her own people, her own timeline, her own life. She considers herself the root of all Final Days-related suffering and death both for the Ancients and for modern Etheirys, and the whole time she's practically praying that she'll be killed to end the Final Days. She believes that fate demands it- that all she is MUST die to redress the balance. If everyone else were to flee on the moon, she would be obligated to remain on Etheirys until the bitter end, because she caused this. She burned the world. All of it is her fault, she deserves to die, and there is no ending to this story in which she lives. For her to survive would be an affront to the gods, to fate, to the people she's wronged, to everyone that ever lived. She adamantly refuses to listen to anyone who says otherwise or any evidence to the contrary fgljkdhk.

I know in-game the narrative treats the concept of WoL becoming a blasphemy as kind of a joke because in what world would that ever happen lol, but uhhhh, it does almost happen to O'ravi after what I call her day from hell (the Final Days of Thavnair, where Ahewann dies and Matsya's friends are killed and he and his friends' baby almost turn to blasphemies, etc). She has a breakdown after the meeting with Shirabaht and the dignitaries, and it takes the combined efforts of Ardbert, Estinien, and probably Fray to stop her from turning. The guilt and self-loathing and sheer fucking stress from all that happening just turned into wholesale despair. It only happened that once, though.

The only reason Endwalker DOESN'T rank as being a worse time for her than Stormblood is, ironically, her unshakeable belief that she had to die at the end. Because dying at the end was her best shot at redemption and atonement, and the thought of being able to atone, even if only in part, became the hope she could hold onto. She wasn't sure if she could save Etheirys, but being able to give it her absolute all without the distraction of being worried about her survival was sort of a saving grace sdkjfhlkdjgh. Idk it's weird!!! It's a lot!!! It was a bad weird time!!!

Her other saving grace was whatever the fuck she had going on with Aymeric FKGJHDFLJGHD. That's a post for another day but the tl;dr of it is they had a sort of star-crossed lovers thing going, she threw caution to the wind and decided to kiss him and be open about how much she loved him despite the fact that they'd never get to be together the way they both wanted, they were sort of just making the most of the scraps of time they had because time was running out

Best part of MSQ, as in "time she enjoyed the most": ARR patches and the first round of ShB patches. The ARR patches were her highest point for a long time, she had everything she wanted, all the adventure and purpose and thrills she could ever want. It was also before grief shattered her and she was made to pick up the pieces, before most of her idealism and hope was ripped away from her. It wasn't perfect, though, much as she used to think it was.

The first round of ShB patches were for the most part such a joyful time? Norvrandt never for a moment took her for granted the way Eorzea does, and they don't idolize her to the point of dehumanizing her either. There's a sort of kinship that she has with the people of the First, because they've known such horrible loss and kept on living anyway, same as she has. It's more of an even playing field, as it were. She can breathe easier there. She was also sort of drunk on the joy of being reunited with G'raha and the fact they both survived; the very complicated feelings she had about Emet and Amaurot were sort of buried under that fdlkgjhdgjk. She loved helping people, and then getting to go home to the Source and reunite with the people she thought she'd never get to see again (Aymeric, the Fortemps, and her family most of all!), and so that all outweighed the problems of Elidibus's Weird Stupid Bullshit by a lot. Most of the second round of ShB patches were good too, but she was so emotionally fucked up by the Seat of Sacrifice (as well as her own insecurities getting really bad) that she couldn't enjoy those as much.

They're fixed to/part of its legs so he can't move them, but they're flexible enough to where he can still like, bend its legs and stuff lol

As for bloodbending, maybe that's something he could do, but that's not rlly something I see him doing personally. I also don't rlly know anything abt that or anything else from Avatar since I've never watched that show aha. His hyrdokinetic abilities are actually a carry-over from the original design/character I redesigned him from! It used to be an old Wings of Fire fantribe OC of mine named Galeforce!
