I just watched "The Argument", a film Danny Pudi is in, and oh my gods do I have things to say. I'll do my best to not spoil for anyone who might want to watch.

Summary: It was a cinematic masterpiece EXCEPT for the tad little bit of unnecessary light transphobia sprinkled in. I didn't like that bit.

My opinion: I LOVED the concept. I have never seen a film so brilliant and genius yet dumb and ridiculous. This one of the few films that I had absolutely 0 idea how it would end. Usually I can never sit through an entire film without feeling broed for at least a bit but every moment of this one was so fun (except for the transphobia)

I love how they ended it because it was just so satisfying and unexpected yet awaited. My kudos to the writers for coming up with this idea and pulling it off because what the actual fuck.

As for the transphobia, I saw a post that i remember reblogging earlier naming the transphobia in this film. I, being a fan od Danny Pudi but not a fan of diclosure and controversy, had to see the film ASAP. The tranpshobia wasn't as bad as I was expecting, which was good, but it was still transphobia. My best describing it without spoiling: there is a non binary character introduced and they are made fun of and profiled as the "average overly political enby". No one makes any outward comments about them, so no blatant transphobia, but you can still see that the meaning is to poke a little fun at the character and thus the community.

Sarah, Trina and Brett (Brett of course being Danny's character) were my favourites. They were being reasonable but also entertaining and i loved how they worked (it's 1AM so my phrasing is probably shit but eh)

All in all a great film. 9/10 because of the minus point for you know, the transphobia. but still a great film. goodnight yall

me and my friend are in the same english class and we both decided to write something incredibly fucked up to survive our short story writing assignment. i'm writing a story about two women stranded in the mountains for almost two weeks after a ski lift broke and dropped them in the middle of nowhere, and after days of becoming utterly codependent on each other one of them is accidentally killed by the other during an argument. the living women ends up resorting to cannibalism literal minutes before the search and rescue teams find them. it's also about lesbianism
