Rookie finale feels

SPOILER ALERT FOR THE ROOKIE 3X14 AKA: THE S3 FINALE FYI 

hey hi hello everyone. I haven’t done a rookie rant (as I like to call them) in a long time. So, here goes nothing: 

WOW. WHAT AN INCREDIBLE FINALE. IT HAD COMEDY, DRAMA, ACTION, INTENSITY, LEVITY, HOPE, HEART, FEAR, DESPERATION, AND OFC ROMANCE. It was honestly better than I thought & I am shockingly okay with the way Chenford was written. 

But, I digress.... first thing’s first, can we please appreciate miss Melissa O’Neil for fucking KILLING IT as Nova Lin aka: undercover Lucy Chen. Because she did. She absolutely slayed every scene she was in. I mean....that eye contact? That fear, that look of being torn between who she is as a cop, and having to completely embody this undercover persona....you could read that struggle all over her face throughout the episode. 

And then, gosh, TIM. Tim “Man of Honor” Bradford turning into Tim “worried about Lucy” Bradford. Ugh, feelings. He was so protective and worried about Lucy I simultaneously loved & hated that. Because I want Chenford happy, but then also I like the angst, that slow burn, push & pull type of thing. 

pleaseeeeee Tim, Wesley, and Jackson banding together to help find another venue for Angela’s wedding. Best guys right there!! And then getting Patrice to help woah – Silas and Tamara were lovely little helpers weren’t they?! so cute!! 

Nolan & Smitty were actually quite the unlikely yet oddly fun duo...like they’re polar opposites right but then they’re also both older, so it’s like, there’s a bit of commonality there. And then poor Smitty – one shift w/Nolan & he’s ready to throw in the towel. He went THROUGH it this ep. 

Jackson and Angela’s friendship is too pure for this world I stg so if they’re both taken by La Fiera’s crew IMMA RIOT CAUSE NO WAY DO WE HURT THEM!! 

Damn, La Fiera was heartless. Ruthless. Cunning. Insane. I held my breath when she thought she recognized Lucy. Thank god the cops showed up when they did..... yikesarama. 

I liked Jenna Dewan’s character of Bailey. That scene where she meets up with Nolan but Professor Fiona Ryan is there was actually quite interesting. They still managed to toss in some ethics while keeping the flow of the episode fairly smooth. 

PLEASE LUCY FLIRTING WITH TIM OR I’M SORRY NOVA FLIRTING WITH BRADFORD, THIS “RANDOM” COP WHO JUST HAPPENED TO PULL HER OVER BYE. I’M STILL FLINGING MYSELF OVER IT. GODDDDDDDDD. 

AND THEN DON’T EVEN GET ME STARTED ON TIM ACTUALLY SAYING “CHEN SAVE ME A DANCE” AND HE CHECKED LUCY OUT UP AND DOWWWWWN DUDE YOU ARE SO NOT SUBTLE I FUCKING HATE THEM (JK I LOVE THEM) BUT YA’LL KNOW WHAT I MEANNNNNNNNN AHHHHHHHH CAN SEASON 4 JUST GET HERE ALREADY WOW
