A philia a day is ongoing til end of the month and I'll be posting a poll for the next "project" June 28th

I have a kofi for commissions but I'll be opening a tier to get access to the queued fics four days in advance starting July.

Here Comes the Bride chapters are going to be posted every Friday until the story is finished. That's not to say I won't still write the Groom and the Bride things, but they'll be noted as "side quests" like the other requests.

I'll be starting a Batman/DC central Patreon in August. The story will contain original characters who are shipped with canon so prepare for that. there will be parallel snippets of events happening in chapters posted for higher tiers as well as polls in regards to a special project.

Reading through some of my older and current story ideas and seeing what tropes I apparently really like

- amnesia/ missing memory

- dislike based on personal bias to friends to lovers

- second chance romance/ second chance at love relationship for the older character or they date their old childhood friend or both

- New character joins an already established crew/ family that’s dysfunctional at best but still love each other

- main character with vastly different inner and outer dialogues

-major-minor character death (an important almost major character with their own pov and everything but not like one of the big 2-4)

- parents aren’t dead but they suck

Nagas in Buddhist Mythology: Serpent Spirits of Power and Mystery


*Nagas (Skt. nāga; Tib. ཀླུ་, lu, Wyl. klu)* hold a significant place in Buddhist cosmology, recognized as serpent spirits within the eight classes of gods and demons. This diverse group is sometimes categorized as animals or demi-gods, residing beneath the earth, in water, trees, or rocks. Endowed with magical powers and wealth, they are also associated with certain illnesses transmitted to humans.
Originating from India's ancient snake cults, likely dating back to the Indus Valley civilization, nagas assimilated into Buddhism early on. In Indian mythology, they face predation from the garudas, adding depth to their symbolic significance.


Buddha’s Encounters: Muchalinda and Prajnaparamita Sutras
During Buddha Shakyamuni's meditation under the Bodhi tree, a storm arose, and the naga Muchalinda (Skt. Mucalinda) emerged, providing protection from the rain. This event symbolizes the interconnection between the natural world and the spiritual realm.
Nagarjuna, a pivotal figure in Buddhist philosophy, is credited with retrieving the Prajnaparamita Sutras from the nagas. Entrusted to their care by Buddha Shakyamuni, these sacred texts emphasize the wisdom of emptiness.


The Eight Great Nagas: Leaders and Guardians
Within the naga hierarchy, the eight great nagas or naga kings hold prominence. Virupaksha, the guardian king of the West, assumes a leadership role among them. However, enumerations of these eight nagas may vary across different traditions, contributing to the rich tapestry of Buddhist mythology.


In essence, nagas embody a blend of mysticism, guardianship, and symbolic significance in Buddhism, weaving their way through the narratives of Buddha's enlightenment, the protection of sacred texts, and their role as both powerful beings and potential sources of ailment.

AWS Release EC2 R8gd, M8gd & C8gd Instances with Graviton4

Since AWS Graviton processors were released in 2018, Amazon has maintained clients' cloud apps up to date and faster. After Graviton3-based instances were successful, Amazon is introducing three new Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2) instance families: compute optimised (C8gd), general purpose (M8gd), and memory optimised (R8gd). These instances employ NVMe SSD local storage and AWS Graviton4 CPUs. AWS Graviton3 instances outperform comparable instances by 30% in compute, 40% in I/O-intensive database workloads, and 20% in real-time data analytics query results.

Built on AWS Graviton4, these instances run C/C++, Rust, Go, Java, Python,.NET Core, Node.js, Ruby, and PHP containerised and microservices programs. Web applications, databases, and large Java programs are outperformed by 30%, 40%, and 45% by AWS Graviton4 processors.

Graviton4 processor innovations

New Amazon EC2 instances with NVMe SSD local storage and AWS Graviton4 processors offer enhanced performance and functionality thanks to many technological advances. Among them:

Improved computation performance: Graviton4-based instances outperform AWS Graviton3-based instances by 30%.

They perform 40% better than Graviton3 in I/O-intensive database workloads.

Faster data analytics: These instances beat Graviton3-based instances by 20% in I/O-intensive real-time data analytics query results.

New instances provide up to 192 vCPUs, three times more, and larger instance sizes.

Up to 1.5 TiB more RAM than Graviton3-based versions.

Instances have three times the local storage (up to 11.4TB of NVMe SSD storage). Performance is considerably improved with NVMe-based SSD local storage.

Based on Graviton3, memory bandwidth is 75% higher than predecessors.

Instances have double the L2 cache compared to the previous generation.

Their 50 Gbps network capacity is a significant improvement over Graviton3 instances.

Increased Amazon EBS capacity: Amazon Elastic Block Store (Amazon EBS) bandwidth of up to 40 Gbps is another enhancement.

Adjustable bandwidth allocation: EC2 instance bandwidth weighting now lets customers alter network and Amazon EBS capacity by up to 25%, increasing flexibility.

Two bare metal sizes—metal-24xl and metal-48xl—allow direct access to physical resources and aid with specific workloads.

These instances, built on the AWS Nitro System, offload networking, storage, and CPU virtualisation to specialist hardware and software to boost speed and security.

All Graviton4 CPUs' high-speed physical hardware interfaces are encrypted for added protection.

The AWS Graviton4-based instances are ideal for containerised and micro-services-based applications, as well as applications written in popular programming languages and storage-intensive Linux workloads. Compared to Graviton3, Graviton4 processors execute web apps, databases, and large Java programs faster.

AWS Graviton4 processors and instance architecture improvements enable performance and new capabilities for many cloud applications.

Specifications for instances

Instances in metal-24xl and metal-48xl bare metal sizes start workloads that demand direct physical resource access and scale properly. The AWS Nitro System, which powers these instances, offloads networking, storage, and CPU virtualisation to dedicated hardware and software to increase workload security and performance. All of Graviton4 processors' high-speed physical hardware interfaces are encrypted, increasing security.

Cost and availability

Oregon and the US East (N. Virginia, Ohio) now include M8gd, C8gd, and R8gd examples. These instances are accessible as dedicated instances, hosts, savings plans, on-demand instances, and spot instances.

Interpretation / Description

Moha Yamari, a retinue deity in the mandala of the complex meditational deity known as Vajrabhairava. This single composition belongs to a set of at least nine paintings, if not more, depicting all of the principal figures of a Vajrabhairava mandala.

Moha Yamari is a directional retinue deity located in the Eastern direction of the Vajrabhairava mandala. (See an example in the mandala painting number #65463). He has three faces and six hands, wrathful in appearance, white in colour and in a standing posture embracing a consort. His proper right face is blue and the left red. The first pair of hands hold a curved knife and skullcup. the second pair holds a sword and flower and the third a golden wheel and a green jewel.

As a principal meditational deity Vajrabhairava, sometimes referred to as Yamantaka, belongs to the Bhairava and Yamari class of tantras and specifically arises from the Vajrabhairava Root Tantra (Tib.: jig je tsa gyu). The Sanskrit source text belongs to the method (father) classification of Anuttaryoga Tantra. The practice of Vajrabhairava is common to the three new (sarma) Schools of Tibetan Buddhism from the 11th century onwards: Sakya, Kagyu and Gelug. Among the Sakya it is counted as one of the four main tantric deities along with Hevajra, Guhyasamaja and Chakrasamvara (Tib.: gyu de shi). Amongst the various Kagyu Schools the Drigungpa are strong upholders of the practice. There are numerous forms and styles of practice from the very complex with multiple heads and arms along with numerous deities to the very concise with a single Heruka form and no attendant retinue deities. From amongst the many different lineages of teaching transmissions to enter Tibet the main ones were those of Rwa Lotsawa and Mal Lotsawa.

There were so many things in the room that had memories to her past. Some fond, some not. It was strange to think that it was the last time that she was going to see them. Because Cressida knew that as soon as she set her last step out of the Manor, she was not going to be able to return. Her suitcases were packed with the things she wanted to bring over to Tiberius' place. All the extra things... Jewelry she didn't need, clothes that were too fancy for daily life. The engagement ring she had gotten from the Fawley wedding for the betrothal. They were all in her room.

Cressida folded the letter she had just finished and sealed it with th darkgreen wax with the family logo on it. Also the last time she was going to be using that. She turned it around and carefully wrote Lucius' name on the letter as she put the parchment away so she could give it to Dobby. He was the house elf of her brother but he had a soft spot for her. So when she had asked him to deliver a letter to her brother, only to be found after his return from his honeymoon, he had agreed upon it.

Her feelings as she got up from her chair were mixed. Sad that she had to leave her brother behind, happy that she could start the life she wanted. That she could be with the man she loved. That she could be as happy with him as her brother was with his now wife. And Cressida could only hope that he would forgive her one day. In the far future. In the far, far, future.

A quick flick of her wrist with her wand was enough for her luggage to move up in the air. Another flick send them to the apartment of Tib, the place she was going to be calling home from now on instead of the Manor she was leaving for the last time.

"Dobby?" The House Elf appeared in her room and Cressida smiled at him. "Here is the letter. You will take care of him, won't you?" The House Elf nodded and disappeared into thin air.

The sight of the House Elf disappearing caused Cressida to be washed over by sadness because there was no way back now.

This was truly goodbye.

Tib snorted, rolling his eyes at the comment even as he shook his head. "Get in line? Absolutely not, I should be top of the line and you bloody well better remember that." His voice gave mock offense, though the amused smile on his lips said otherwise. He snorted, giving his friend a droll look. "Mate, not one could forget your poses. Much as I wish I could." He couldn't help but mock his friend on occasion, after all someone had to know his ego on occasion. And he always meant well.

He was sure his features softened at the way his friend informed him that she was too good for him. It was clear that he was really into the girl, and he was happy for his best friend. "If she's smart she wouldn't let anything ruin it anyway." He assured him. He stood, nodding. "I better head home anyway, I think I'm going to attempt to help Cressida with dinner. Merlin help her." He joked. "Send me some dates, we'll pick a night." He assured his friend as he headed off the pitch.

"Well, Tiberius if that happens, you'll just have to get in line." Anthony retorted, smug at the concept of him still having fans. Sure, the radio show had consistent listeners but the man doubted he still had such a dedicated fanbase. At the mention of not putting his face on the front of the flyer, Anthony shrugged. "Well that is up to you, but I hope you don't forget my striking poses for the Ballycastle Bats announcements."

As Tiberius agreed to play nice, it took Anthony all of his power not to release an outward sign of relief. "I'm glad to hear it mate, she's far too good for me, and we're at the stage where I don't want anything to ruin that." Anthony remarked with a laugh, glancing at his watch, "It's probably time that I practice before the show starts tonight," He pointed out, "but I'll owl you...with a date that works, yeah?"
