UPDATE ON THE ABRUPT HIATUS

I haven't been too active on this Tumblr during the past few months. Due to health difficulties, I took the past month off to focus solely on my health and schoolwork in my last year. Now that I've graduated and have more free time, I intend to devote my focus to this blog throughout June and possibly in the next months.

My progress on Chapter Three has been consistent, albeit I had to pause to fix several story holes and technical mistakes. I apologize for not communicating the blog's direction prior to my hiatus. Please be assured that this is not a dead or abandoned project! "TOWMR" is still live and will continue till the story is finished.

WHAT I DID.

Recently, I dedicated my time to coding, both last week and this week. Despite my dislike for coding, I managed to create several pages on Google Docs, ranging from simple to moderately complex codes that I'm gradually learning to use. The key challenge in coding lies in remembering how each code functions, and how to use them when necessary. Alongside coding, I've been prioritizing my writing drafts, especially with my classes piling up rapidly. While I initially faced writer's block, a game of Dungeons and Dragons sparked inspiration in my writing process!

WHAT I DID.

My main priority during the past week was finishing my final exams. After accomplishing that assignment, I set aside time to complete a few paragraphs in my the stories third chapter. The codex has been a fun challenge, even though my plans for it are still in the works. Since I haven't been using Tumblr lately and have come to understand how much I miss write ask-based posts, this week's top priority will be answering questions.

I don’t want this tumblr to be considered dead as I’m not being more active here. So, due to that, I’ll be focused on posting more!

WHAT I DID.

I have a huge announcement to share with everyone…CHAPTER TWO IS FINISHED! I completed it on Monday, and then added pronoun codes on Tuesday. Im so excited to share it with my beta readers/testers, which I will be preparing to do today. It’s such a relief to have it finished as I can now get into chapter three, and I’ve been interested in sharing more lore. Once I publish chapter two, I will be starting chapter threes introduction.

I have amazing news! Chapter two will be released…THIS THURSDAY! It only needs one more test run before it is complete tested, however that will happen sometime tomorrow. When this chapter is released, I will shift my attention towards a few unfinished art projects along with chapter three. Which has been growing quite steadily. I am looking forward to hear everyone’s reactions to chapter two!

For the last few weeks, I’ve been adding even more coding and a few new rewrites to both chapters one and two. Due to my internship at a veterinary hospital, a great deal of my time and energy has been taken away from this blog. But know this! I haven’t given up, and I’m still writing. The ROs live in my head rent free, and the amount of lore and stories I’ve added has become plentiful!

WHAT I DID.

Happy Easter! Last week I had spent the entirety of it was spent writing chapter three and studying for finals. Adding more fat around the chapter is a must as I want to give you the opportunity to build your MCs personality from the ground up. That difficult alone will bleed into past chapters such as one and two. But today is the first of the month! A new start and hopefully a better schedule as my finals are coming to an early close.

Working around my work activities and school will make my updating schedule weaker. However, my school year is coming to an end, meaning I will finally be able to taste the freedom that is not having to do homework! Thank you so much for reading this weeks update!

But then I think about their past and what I've planned for them, and it nearly makes me feel better. Nonetheless, in future chapters, I will mock my choice of names and so will the MC.

WEEKLY UPDATE

WHAT I DID.

This week, most of my time was spent writing the second half of chapter three. I've made a decision to introduce a new variable in the point-of-view change. It's going to add complexity to the story, but it'll also enhance the incentive to earn more relationship points with certain characters. I thoroughly enjoy delving into different perspectives and building the world, which will be the primary focus of this chapter as it's when you unlock the codexes. These codexes will reveal all the knowledge you've accumulated during your playthrough, as well as shedding light on the MC's past, among other items I don't want to spoil. I'm just excited! The only issue I have is the fact it’s taking so long, and real world issues I’m facing are taking time from being active here. It’s a never ending battle I’m determined to win!

WHAT I DID.

Last week, I regretted not being more active. I'm now going to respond to the remaining Valentine's Day asks. One of my significant achievements was finally determining my direction for the latter half of chapter three. Here's a hint: there will be a change in the POV! I'm thrilled about writing this part, as well as several others featured in the initial section of chapter three. With a clear plan in mind, I'm excited to tackle the lengthy chapter I've been longing to write. Now, all that's left is to execute it effectively. I look forward to having everyone read this chapter. It will be the significant start of the adventure.
