食パン：主食用パン

食パンの語源に関しては複数ありどれが正しいかわかりませんが、有力な説を2つ紹介します。1つは、「主食用パン」の略。パンが日本に入って来た当時はイースト菌などもなく、比較的小さな菓子パンだけが作られていました。それからパンが大きく膨らむようになり、米の代わりになり得るようになったため、「主食用」と名付けられました。もう1つは、消しパンではない「食べられるパン」の略。昔は美術のデッサンなどでパンを消しゴム代わりに使用していたためです。

ブログ：ウェブログ

ウェブサイトの一種で日記形式のもの。英単語でも”blog”がありますが、もともとは”Web”と記録を意味する”log”が合わさった言葉である”web log”の略です。

軍手：軍用手袋

元々軍隊用の手袋として使われていたためです。日露戦争の際に、寒冷地を戦場とする兵士に支給するために考案されたものです。その後、荷物運搬や土いじりなど日常生活で使われるようになりました。

演歌：演説歌

元々は自由民権運動の政治運動家(壮士)たちが演説の代わりに歌った壮士節が始まりとされます。1930年代にジャズやクラシックが大衆歌に組み込まれていき、歌詞も政治とは関係のない叙情詩的なものに変わっていきました。

教科書：教科用図書

主に小・中・高および特別支援学校などで学ぶ時に配布��れる中心的な教材のことで、「教科用図書」の略です。教科書と教材の違いは、文部科学大臣の検定に合格したものが教科書と呼ばれます。

チューハイ：焼酎ハイボール

焼酎とハイボールを組み合わせた「焼酎ハイボール」の略語。焼酎やウォッカなど無色で香りのない酒類をベースに、炭酸で割ったものを一般的に指しますが、炭酸ではなくウーロン茶で割ったウーロンハイもチューハイの一種です。

ジャガイモ：ジャガタライモ

ジャガイモはそもそも南米原産の食材であり、日本には16世紀末にインドネシアのジャカルタからオランダ人により伝えられました。そのため当時は「ジャガタライモ」と呼ばれていましたが、後に略されていきました。ちなみに日本では中国語由来の馬鈴薯とも呼ばれます。

ワイシャツ：ホワイトシャツ

主に男性が背広の下に着るシャツのことですが、元々は和製英語である「ホワイトシャツ」の略。よく「Yシャツ」と記載されることがありますが、これは完全に当て字です。一方で、「Tシャツ」はアルファベットのTの字に似ているためこう呼ばれるようになりました。

割勘：割前勘定

友人との飲み会などでよくある割勘は「割前勘定」の略。割前とは分割してそれぞれに割り当てることを意味する言葉です。江戸時代後期の戯作者で浮世絵師として有名な山東京伝が発案されたと言われており、当時は「京伝勘定」と言われていたそうです。ちなみに世界的に見ると割勘の文化は少数派で、男性や年上が払うのが一般的のようです。

カラオケ：空オーケストラ

歌のないオーケストラの意味で、「空(から)オーケストラ」から「カラオケ」と略されました。カラオケは日本で1960年後半に誕生したとされ、その後世界に広がっていきました。そのため英語でも”karaoke”と書きます。ちなみに中国語では「卡拉OK」と突然アルファベットが出てくる不思議です。

バス：オムニバス

ラテン語で「すべての人のために」という意味の「オムニバス」が語源で、フランスの乗合馬車の発着所の雑貨屋の看板に書かれていたことに由来します。そこから多くの人が利用する乗合自動車をオムニバスと呼ぶようになり、その後略されました。

リストラ：リストラクチャリング

英語で「再建」を意味する”restructuring”から略されたものです。リストラと聞くと人員削減をイメージしますが、本来の意味は事業構造を再構築することです。その中の一環として、人員削減が起こります。

リモコン：リモートコントロール

英語で「遠隔操作」を意味する”remote control”から略されたものです。TVなどに向かってリモコンから赤外線をデジタル信号で送ることでチャンネルや音量などを操作することができます。

ソフトクリーム：ソフト・サーブ・アイスクリーム

海外では「柔らかいクリーム？」となり伝わらない和製英語です。英語では” soft serve icecream”であり、ソフトクリームサーバーの製造などを行っている日世の創業者・田中穰治が日本でソフトクリームを広めるのにわかりやすくするために省略したとされています。

ペペロンチーノ：アーリオ・オーリオ・ペペロンチーノ

唐辛子をオリーブ油で炒めたパスタ料理。正式名称は「アーリオ・オーリオ・ペペロンチーノ」と言います。イタリア語で「アーリオ」は「ニンニク」、「オーリオ」は「オリーブオイル」、「ペペロンチーノ」は「唐辛子」を意味しています。

経済：経世済民

中国の晋朝について書かれた歴史書である『晋書』に書かれた「経世済民」を略した言葉です。現在の政治と同じような意味で昔から使われていました。明治以降、”economy”の訳語として頻繁に使われるようになったようです。

首相：首席宰相

首席はトップを意味し、宰相は辞書で調べると「古く中国で、天子を補佐して大政を総理する官。総理大臣。首相。」と載っています。首相の言葉の中に首相が含まれている二重表現のような言葉です。ただ「首相」は日本国憲法に記載された言葉ではなく、報道などで使われる内閣総理大臣の通称です。

切手：切符手形

お金を払って得た権利の証明となる紙片のことを古くから「切手」と呼んでいました。日本の近代郵便制度の創始者である前島密が、“郵便物に貼って支払済を表す印紙”に「切手」という言葉をそのまま当てたそうです。

出世：出世間

元々は仏教語で、仏陀が衆生を救うためにこの世に出現することを指す言葉で、「出＋世間」でした。そこから略され、日本では僧侶が高い位に上ることを意味するようになり、世間一般でも役職が上がることなどを指す言葉となりました。

断トツ：断然トップ

2位以下を大きく引き離すことを指す言葉ですが、元は「ずば抜けて」の意味を持つ「断然」と首位を表す英語の”top”が合わさった言葉の略。そのため「断トツの1位」という表現は二重表現になります。

押忍：おはようございます

朝の挨拶である「おはようございます」から「おっす」と短くなり、さらに「おす」へと略されました。そこから「自我を押さえて我慢する」という意味を込めて「押忍」という漢字が当てられました。

デマ：デマゴギー

大衆を扇動するための政治的な宣伝を意味するドイツ語の「デマゴギー」を略したものです。元の意味の通り、政治的な意味合いを持つ言葉でしたが、昭和になってから、単純に「嘘」や「根拠のない噂」の意味で使われるようになりました。

おなら：お鳴らし

屁を「鳴らす」の名詞である「鳴らし」に「お」をつけて婉曲に表現した言葉で、そこから一文字略されました。元々の言い方の方が上品な感じがあって良いですよね。というのも、一般庶民は昔から「屁」と言っていましたが、宮中に仕える女房たちは隠語として用いていたためです。

電車：電動客車

電動客車をより細かく表現すると、「電動機付き客車」または「電動機付き貨車」となります。電車は架線あるいは軌道から得る電気を動力源として走行しています。

電卓：電子式卓上計算機

計算機という本来役割を表す意味の言葉が略されています。1963年に世界初の電卓が登場し、1964年に現在のシャープから日本初の電卓が発売されました。当時の価格は53万5千円と車を買えるほどの値段でした。今では100均で売られているものもあるのに驚きですね。

ボールペン：ボールポイントペン

英語で”ball-point pen”と言い、これを略した言葉です。ボールという単語が使われている理由は、ボールペンの構造上、先端に小さな回転玉（ボール）があるためです。

インフラ：インフラストラクチャー

英語で「下部構造」や「基盤」を意味する”infrastructure”から略されたものです。電気・ガス・水道・電話・道路・線路・学校や病院などの公共施設など、私たちの生活に欠かせないものを指す言葉となっています。

シネコン：シネマコンプレックス

「コンプレックス”complex”」が「複合の」を表す英単語で、同一ビル内に複数のスクリーンを備えた複合型映画館のことを表します。国内の代表的なものとしては、TOHOシネマズ、イオンエンターテイメント、MOVIX、ユナイテッド・シネマなどがあります。

シャーペン：エバー・レディー・シャープペンシル

シャーペンが「シャープペンシル」の略ということを知っている方は多いと思いますが、実はこれも略語。1838年にアメリカで「エバーシャープ」という筆記具が登場し、その後1915年に現シャープの創設者である早川徳次氏が国内初となるものを考案し、「エバー・レディー・シャープペンシル」という商品名をつけヒットさせました。

ピアノ：クラヴィチェンバロ・コル・ピアノ・エ・フォルテ

イタリア語で「小さい音と大きい音を出せるチェンバロ」という意味です。いつの間にか「小さい音」を表すピアノだけに略され、楽器を表す名詞となりました。元のピアノの意味は今でも音の強弱を表す「メッゾピアノ」や「ピアニッシモ」と合わせて音楽記号として使われていますね。

Horikoshi: Looking back, I wasn't into manga for the cool special moves or cool characters. ONE PIECE made me cry.

I think my heart shaking & being emotionally moved makes something interesting to me. Crying becomes an experience, and I want my readers to have that experience.

Horikoshi: It’s changed quite a bit. At chapter 1, I thought heroes were someone beyond reach, but even if you don’t do something that amazing if you try to do good then you’re already a hero.

There was a time I felt like I couldn’t draw anymore and my editor just kept telling me it’d be okay, really positive. That really saved me.

This is somewhat of a follow-up to two previous posts on verbs: 75 essential single-character verbs (单字动词) 75 more essential single-character verbs (单字动词)

I always intended to make a post on adjectives, but it took me longer than expected to gather, sort, and filter through my list of adjectives. And I decided to add examples this time, which took even more time.

I learned many of these simply from consuming native content (mostly TV shows) over the past 2-3 years. It's the kind of stuff you probably won't find in your textbook. So please enjoy~

then i see comments that there is this one song WYB recently listened to. meaning, as recent as when XZ flew to singapore which is called 超人不会飞 (superman can’t fly) by Jay Chou. i know WYB and everyone else is a big fan of Jay Chou but the clowning comes from the timing of when he listened to it. let me get to that first.

turtles are interpreting it as WYB longing to “fly” to where XZ is and be with him but he can’t because of all his work commitments. he wants to take a breather. thinking about what his life is and the constraints, and at times like this, when they spent days in Beijing, but now they have to be apart, it affects him even more.

however when i read the lyrics, it could also be because he can relate to what jay chou is singing about. here’s the english translation i found here. i have bolded the ones i felt like WYB relates too. literally no need for explanation. just read it. It fits with his status in life so much that it’s almost scary.

I don’t think there is anything wrong with how cpfs are relating this to cpn cause that’s just how it is. But sometimes, there are other reasons why they do what they do.

TTEOTM vs. the Industry: Or Why it's much more than a TV show 📺

A very interesting Zhihu article from an anonymous industry insider responding to the question "is Till the End of the Moon worth watching?"

TL;DR SUMMARY:

The author believes that we're at the crossroads of a new era of TV production. Otters Studio (TTEOTM's production company, a new player) is trying to make waves beyond the show itself by making big budget bets on innovative but risky content.

TTEOTM is full of production flaws, but Otter understands how to excite viewers, something that's been taken for granted. A team that would produce a perfect drama would never dare to touch TTEOTM and make it work.

Everyone in the industry desperately wants TTEOTM to fail. Because that would prove that sticking to a safe formula works. (For context, there's been a lot of internet activity trying to smear TTEOTM and take it down in China, most recently an email campaign to NRTA to get it censored and off air)

I decided to take the time to translate this because it brings home the point the need to embrace risk-taking and look beyond technical flaws to push the industry forward. It's long and I don't agree with everything said (think he's a bit harsh on the actors and other dramas), but I still think it's worth a read! Bolding is my own.

FULL TRANSLATION:

The decision to produce TTEOTM at such a high budget itself indicates aspirations that are beyond what ordinary viewers can understand. Let's talk about its strengths:

比如长月这种类型的剧非用这么高规格投资创作出来，本身说明了投资方的品味和执念都不是我们这类普通大众可以理解的。先说几点优点:

1. Dare to break through. This drama is not intended by its investors to be just like another xianxia. It contains a lot of innovative elements: character design, world view, values, plot development and logic, costume, special effects, which is refreshing. In the next few years, no matter how the drama performs, there will be continued discussion and comparison to TTEOTM. It is extremely risky to put such a big budget behind a piece of work that's trying to push boundaries in every way. Because it is beyond the comfort zone of viewers today.

On surface, Otter's first drama is a big production (but as you can see, there are issues with quality control). In reality, this production has an even more important mission: proving that an outside investor new to content production can break into the entertainment ecosystem with money, such as by openly inviting everyone to make OSTs, showing off its deep wallets (though you can see what the reception and quality of work has been). Otter's ambition is not to be a vehicle for actors or just another producer. It's also not trying to do what LBFAD did by building its brand with a repeatable IP-to-TV production process. Based on TTEOTM, I'm inclined to believe they are playing with something very new, something more ground-breaking. Right now they're still trying to figure it out, piece by piece, even though TTEOTM's final product is already quite remarkable.

1. 敢于突破。这部剧根本不是为了制作一部流水线仙侠而投资出来的，其中包含了大量的“新”东西:人设、世界观、人物价值观、剧情发展逻辑、服化道、特效使用等，都让人耳目一新。未来几年时间，无论剧播出的怎么样，围绕长月的讨论和比较都不会少。 像这样一部方方面面求新的作品，本身用这么高规格投资出来就是极端风险的一件事，因为它压根不在目前经过市场检验的观众舒适区里。 獭獭文化打出来的这第一部作品，表面上是在出大制作剧（但是你也看到了，品控有些问题），实际上这部剧恐怕还肩负着更重要的使命（比如一家对内容制作市场还比较小白的外来资本，是不是可以借着高举高打摸一圈影视圈的资源链，像直接全面邀歌做OST，写满了大佬有钱，但是各方什么态度、什么水平也是同步一目了然） 獭獭的野心绝不在于捧演员或加入目前的内容制作圈，也不是冲着一开始就像苍兰诀一样用一个可模块化流水线化的模式成品打造自己的品牌，从长月看，我倾向于他在玩一些很新的东西，很大格局的东西。现在他还在一块块摸牌，一块块优化骨骼的阶段（虽然长月的成品其实已经非常了不起）。

2. Great for actors. Today's Chinese drama production has become obviously repetitive and formulaic. It's very difficult to give actors an opportunity to demonstrate their talents. Complex characters not only challenge our actors but risk impacting their reputation. There's massive risk in casting and censorship, so most investors play it safe. TTEOTM is different in this regard: in addition to TTJ, the FL is not silly, dumb, and sweet. She is clear-headed about her mission to kill the ML the entire time, which means there's no CP. The 2nd ML is stuck in a philosophical conflict of who he really is. The 2nd FL coldly announces, I don't love anyone but myself. In order to make these characters come alive, you need very strong character molding and understanding. For example, the FL has to demonstrate commitment to her mission as a character that's bounded by a tragic fate, but also show caution and love towards the ML. Or take the 2nd FL as an example. Even though she appears to be a bad person, she actually has a strong need for love and fear of loss, which is why she self destroys any hope to avoid tragedy in the end - this type of person is full of inner conflict.

The conflicting emotions and subtext are the biggest selling points of this drama, but sadly most actors don't quite deliver except the ML. The willingness to realize a screenplay like this indicates Otter is serious about testing its actors. This type of opportunity is rarer than giant pandas in an industry that prefers vanilla characters. But also because of this, we see that there are still big gaps in the younger generation of actors' ability to interpret the screenplay and perform. Overall, the third female lead's scenes are quite good. The ML's solos are also quite good. But there are issues with transitions (of course the director also has no standards when it comes to cinematography). The second female lead interprets her character well, but has acting issues. Won't comment on the others.

2.对演员加成极大。一个团队渴望摸到娱乐圈上限的时候，可能这个团队还没有那么深厚的业内资源，但一定有其他制作方给不了的助力力度。当目前的国产剧制作已经出现明显的人物刻板化，玄幻作品模式化倾向时，无论是大制作还是小制作，其实现在的作品已经非常难给演员凸显水平的机会了，创作复杂性人物考验演员表现能力，还容易造成艺人负面口碑，有极大的选角风险，还容易被审核掉，目前的其他资本这一块都很保守。 獭獭的长月，男主澹台烬自不用说，女主完全不傻白甜，从头到尾头脑清醒就是要杀男主，就是无cp糖可磕。男二执着于他不是我，我不是我的哲学矛盾，女二全程冷漠宣言我谁也不爱我只爱我自己，神挡杀神，佛挡杀佛。这些人物其实真正要演绎得鲜活，都需要极强的角色塑造能力和理解能力。例如女主始终头脑清醒的要杀男主，是因为命运只给了这么一条路，她是被命运裹挟着前进的悲剧人物，但又要体现出她面对自己对男主时的恻隐之心和深沉爱意。��比如女二，她是渴爱之人，恶是她的表象，惶恐失去和自闭是她的内核，每次在希望来临前先动手毁灭希望，不让自己看到悲剧，这种人的心理活动是非常激烈和纠结的。 纠结的情绪和人物潜台词是这部剧本身的最大看点（虽然很可惜我发现演员几乎是全员不到位的，勉强男主还行）愿意开发这样的本子，其实意味着獭獭正视图用剧对演员进行一定程度的“大考”，能演出来的，还有这样的机会呈现在行业内，可以说在目前偏向塑造完美人设的制作圈比大熊猫还稀缺，是年轻艺人一次极为难得的水平展示机会。也正因如此，我们在长月里也看到了现在的新生代演员对剧本理解和表现能力确实存在极大问题。整部剧女三部分场景不错，男主的单场不错，但大的跨度衔接有些问题（当然，导演对镜头毫无追求也是问题）女二理解没问题但演技有问题，其他人不评价。

3. Super entertaining and discussion-worthy. Don't underestimate this. In today's TV production circle, most dramas are chasing after low risk, high quality output. Take the recently aired xianxias. These works are all living in comfort zone. You can't say they're bad, but it's also not clear what is good, and viewers are not that enthralled. TTEOTM is the opposite. It knows too well how to excite viewers. Putting aside the logic of the story, I would say this is the most audacious hand played in the last 5 years. It's super entertaining. Viewers definitely won't be able to tell what's good about it, other than that it's thrilling to watch. That's actually a very remarkable skill and one that is lost in today's entertainment industry. Otter can fix their production flaws over time through trial and error or by bringing in new collaborators, but it's not easy to figure out what the audience wants.

3.娱乐性和话题性极强。不要小看这点，在目前电视剧制作圈，几乎大多数的作品都在追求低风险高品质的“绝对完成品”。比如沉香、星落，甚至苍兰诀。这类作品一大特点就是都在舒适区里做加减法，拍出来你不能说差，没有什么掉链子的地方，但是问有什么好的地方，也不是很明显。观众就很容易精神上提不起劲。 长月却刚好相反，它实在是太懂得怎么刺激观众，抛开剧情逻辑不谈，我敢说这是内娱近五年玩过的最大胆的刺激牌，娱乐性直接拉满。一个个画面和剧情的嗨点山呼海啸扑面而来，观众一定说不出长月哪里好，但是看长月确实很爽。这其实是一种很了不起的本事。也是目前的业内非常缺失的一种本事。产业链的短板可以摸索着补，也可以拉拢志同道合的人一起找，但是找到观众爽点的能力确实是要点功夫的。

Actually, TTEOTM's production has so many problems, to the point that anyone in the industry can find an example to prove that it sucks. Screenplay, director, editing, OST, marketing, lighting, lens, makeup, sets, sound, aesthetics. But what you can't deny is this: a team that can produce a perfect drama could never make TTEOTM work.

They'd never allow the ML to be a dark, psycho character. They'd never allow the 2nd FL to say she only cares for herself. They'd never embed a big budget fight scene in a fluffy xianxia drama.

On surface it seems that everyone's trying to take down the ML, but that's not it. The industry needs TTEOTM to flop. Because only its failure can prove that their current approach of playing it safe, sticking to the formula works. You can do the same thing over and over again. Suddenly someone tells you you need to push yourself with something new everyday? Well then I'll break your pot and tell everyone Otter has gotten the wrong read on the market. Look, Immortality has been banned. Look at the horrible casting of TTEOTM, your ML is too thin and injured. Every established player in the industry is trying to trip you over. The platform has given you the worst airing slot. Everyone is bashing the drama.

其实长月的缺点非常多，多到每一个业内都能够找到一水的问题来证明它不行。编剧有问题，导演有问题，剪辑有问题，bgm比较平，营销风格与剧不一致，打光不行，滤镜不行，妆发不行，场景太空，音画不同步，三观有大病等等等等等…… 但是不可否认的是，拍出一水很“行”的作品的团队们，永远不会去拍一部可以“行”的长月。 因为没有獭獭走这一步，他们根本不敢让神魔大战在仙侠题材里打1个小时，不敢让男女主不炒cp，不敢男主是个腹黑反派疯批，不敢女二说我只爱自己。不敢用这么高规格的特效在一部仙侠“糖水”剧里。表面上是男主的黑太多，其实并非如此。 而是他们都需要长月扑街，只有长月扑街，才能证明他们的稳妥打法，吃存量的做法是正确的。 明明可以吃大锅饭，你来告诉大家要卷着天天研发新鲜饭？那我砸了你的锅，告诉所有人獭獭对市场判断的眼光不行，你看皓衣行被禁了吧，你看长月选角垃圾，选了个瘦脱相男主吧，你看男主被打开不了剧吧，你看业内合作方没有不给你使绊子的吧，你看平台不看好给你冷档期吧，你看剧做出来市场上骂声一片吧……

TTEOTM has invited so much drama, controversy, criticism outside the show itself, as though who cares if it's just a shitty drama by a small-time investor. The industry can tolerate all crap productions, but it cannot accommodate a new player that comes with sincerity and money.

Therefore, I am bullish on TTEOTM. I don't think this drama is created to promote the ML or to make money. Quite the opposite, I think we're at the crossroads of a new era. Otter is the Wandering Earth of the TV industry. They're both sore-eyed catfish that's making waves beyond the work itself.

摩根靜靜地坐在客廳的沙發上，手中捧著一杯馬可杯。正當他沉浸在片刻的平靜中時，電視螢幕中突然閃現迦勒參加戀愛實境秀的畫面。摩根驚嚇地嗆咳起來，眼淚在眨眼之間潸然流下。迦勒聽到聲音，立刻急步跑來，輕拍他的背，關切地問道：「親愛的，你還好嗎？」

摩根手捂著嘴，忍住咳嗽，眼神仍然緊盯著電視。迦勒也跟著目光看去，隨即臉色驚訝而難堪。「那、那是我在遇到你之前參加的實境秀！我發誓！」他的聲音中透露出一絲慌張。

「而且你咬人了？」摩根的眼中還閃爍著淚光，電視畫面正好顯示出迦勒咬住女主角的畫面。

「沒有！那都是為了節目效果，完全是事先安排好的！」迦勒忙不迭地解釋。

然而，畫面再次切換，迦勒與女主角的親密場景再次映入眼簾，摩根的咳嗽聲更加頻繁。他起身走向房間的方向，一路上仍在咳嗽，臉上露出一絲落寞。「我……我想休息了。」他低聲說道。

迦勒呆愣地看著摩根的背影，不禁自問：他是不是在吃醋了？

摩根躺在床上，凝視著掛在床頭的補夢網，臉上毫無表情。迦勒站在門邊，試圖探入房間。「寶貝？」他的聲音中滿是關切。

摩根翻過身，背對著門。迦勒見狀，不禁汗顏：他又開始逃避現實了。

不久後，迦勒側身躺在摩根的身後，手輕柔地環抱著他的腰。他溫柔地問：「寶貝，你不開心了嗎？」他的嘴唇輕輕印在摩根的側臉上，臉頰埋在他的脖頸間。

「我只是去打工，那些人我已經讓他們忘記了我。」迦勒低聲道。

摩根轉過身，正面看著迦勒，神情仍然冷漠。「如果你說謊，我就讓你變成青蛙。」他半垂著眼瞪著他，顯露出一絲調皮的威脅。

迦勒苦笑著，無奈地舉起手做出發誓的姿勢。「我遇到你之後，真的再也沒有找陌生人搭訕過。」

他將摩根的手放在自己的胸口，感受他彷彿還有的脈搏。摩根重重地嘆了口氣，眼中流露出一絲柔情。「我知道那是你過去的生活方式，我不怪你。只是陌生人看你的眼神，我不知道...」

摩根臉紅了，不敢直視迦勒，而迦勒則微笑著，眼中滿是寵溺與深情。

這份無法言喻的佔有欲，怎麼這麼迷人？

「別擔心，親愛的，我只會看著你而已。」迦勒輕輕地擁抱著摩根，額頭抵著他的額頭，語氣溫柔而堅定。

「又在花言巧語。」摩根的臉頰紅潤看著迦勒。

迦勒低下頭，深情地吻上摩根的唇，那一刻，他們的心靈在吻中緊密相連。

Morgyn sat quietly on the living room sofa, cradling a cup of coffee. As they were immersed in a moment of peace, the TV screen suddenly flashed scenes of Caleb participating in a dating reality show. Startled, Morgyn coughed and tears streamed down their face in the blink of an eye. Hearing the commotion, Caleb hurried over, patting their back and asking with concern, "Sweetheart, are you okay?"

Morgyn covered their mouth, stifling their cough, while keeping their eyes fixed on the TV. Caleb followed their gaze and his face turned surprised and awkward. "That, that’s a reality show I did before I met you! I swear!" His voice betrayed a hint of panic.

"And you bit someone?" Morgyn’s eyes were still glistening with tears as the TV screen showed Caleb biting the female lead.

"No! It was all for the show, it was completely staged!" Caleb rushed to explain.

However, as the scene shifted again to Caleb in an intimate moment with the female lead, Morgyn’s coughing grew more frequent. They stood up and walked towards the bedroom, still coughing, with a look of melancholy on their face. "I... I want to rest," they said softly.

Caleb stood frozen, watching Morgyn’s retreating figure, wondering if they was feeling jealous.

Morgyn lay in bed, staring blankly at the dream catcher hanging above their head. Caleb stood by the door, trying to peer into the room. "Baby?" His voice was filled with concern.

Morgyn turned their back to him. Seeing this, Caleb felt embarrassed: they were avoiding reality again.

Soon, Caleb lay down behind Morgyn, gently wrapping his arms around their waist. He asked tenderly, "Baby, are you unhappy?" His lips brushed lightly against Morgyn’s cheek, his face buried in their neck.

"I was just working. I've already made them forget about me," Caleb whispered.

Morgyn turned to face Caleb, their expression still cold. "If you're lying, I’ll turn you into a frog." They glared at him with a mischievous threat.

Caleb smiled wryly and raised his hand in a gesture of oath. "I swear, since meeting you, I haven't hit on strangers."

He placed Morgyn’s hand on his chest, feeling his heartbeat. Morgyn sighed heavily, their eyes showing a hint of tenderness. "I know that was your past way of life; I don’t blame you. It’s just... the way strangers look at you, I don’t know..."

Morgyn blushed, unable to look directly at Caleb, while Caleb smiled at them with adoration and deep affection.

This indescribable possessiveness—how charming it is.

"Don't worry, sweetheart, I'll only be watching you," Caleb said softly, hugging Morgyn gently, his forehead resting against theirs, his tone tender yet resolute.

"Sweet talk again." Morgyn’s cheeks were flushed as they looked at Caleb.

Caleb lowered his head and kissed Morgyn’s lips deeply. In that moment, their souls connected intimately through the kiss.

アマリア・ザタリ、BBCロシア語ソヴィエト連邦時代のロシアでは、隣近所の人や同僚や、赤の他人でさえ、当局に密告するのは普通のことだった。それが今では、ウクライナでの戦争に批判的な国民をロシア当局が厳しく取り締まる中で、誰かが気に食わないとか、自分には政治的な主義主張があるのだなど、様々な理由から、他人を密告するロシア人が増えている。「うちは、祖父が密告が得意だったので、どうすればいいか私は祖父に教わりました」「アンナ・コロブコワ」を名乗る女性はこう話す。ロシアの大都市に住んでいるそうだが、具体的にどこかは明らかにしなかった。広告そのコロブコワさんの祖父はスターリン時代、ソ連の秘密警察に匿名で情報提供をしていたのだという。当時は、他人を密告したり糾弾したりすることは日常生活の一部だったし、孫娘も今や祖父のあとを継いでいる。彼女は今では、ウクライナでの戦争に批判的だと思う相手は誰だろうと、片端から通報している。密告の常習者を自認ロシアによるウクライナ全面侵攻が始まって以来、自分は1397通の通報文を書いたと、コロブコワさんは言う。自分の通報によって、大勢が罰金を科せられ、解雇され、「外国の代理人」のレッテルを貼られたという。「気の毒とは思わない」と、コロブコワさんは明かす。「私が通報したおかげで罰せられたなら、とてもうれしい」。2022年2月にロシアがウクライナに侵攻してから間もなく、新しい検閲制度が法制化された。それ以来、コロブコワさんは暇を見つけてはオンラインで過ごし、「ロシア軍の信用を傷つけた」と思う人たちを次々と通報している。今の制度では、「ロシア軍の信用を毀損（きそん）」した罪で有罪となれば、最高5万ルーブル（約8万円）の罰金か、2回以上の再犯の場合は最高5年間の禁錮刑の罰を受ける。コロブコワさんは私の取材に対して非常に慎重で、メールでのやり取りにしか応じなかった。自分の顔を出すのはいやで、自分の身元を証明するものも提示したくないと力説した。なぜかというと、「���してやる」と脅されることが多く、自分の個人情報がハッキングされたり盗まれたりするのが怖いからだという。では、なぜ自分と同じロシア市民について、密告するのか。動機は二つあるという。第一に、ロシアがウクライナに打ち勝つための手助けを、自分はしているのだと。そして第二に、自分の経済的安定の助けにもなるからだと。コロブコワさんは独り暮らしで、人文系の教授としてパートタイムで働いているという。貯金を取り崩しながらなんとか、やりくりしているのだと。もしも戦争でウクライナが有利になれば、ロシアは賠償金を払う羽目になり、そんなことになれば国全体と国民全員の経済状態が打撃を受けかねないと、心配しているのだと話す。「特別軍事作戦に反対する全員が、私の安全と生活にとって、敵です」。こう言うコロブコワさんにとって、ウクライナの勝利は自分の敗北を意味する。「貯金がなくなって、フルタイムの仕事を見つけなくてはならなくなる」政府から離れて活動するロシアの独立系人権団体「OVD-インフォ」によると、新しい検閲法が制定されて以来、軍を批判した疑いで8000件以上の事案が立件されているという。標的コロブコワさんが通報するのは主に、マスコミに話をする人たちだ。特に、BBCなどの外国メディアの取材に応じる人たちを、標的としている。人類学者のアレクサンドラ・アルヒポワさんも、コロブコワさんに通報された一人だ。画像説明, アレクサンドラ・アルヒポワさんは人類学者として、ロシアで密告が再燃している現状を研究している「彼女はもう7回、私のことを通報しています」とアルヒポワさんは話す。「密告文を書くことがあの人にとって、当局とやりとりする手段で、それが自分の使命だと思っている」。「自分にぴったりな、得意なことを見つけたんでしょう。彼女に糾弾されると、専門家や研究者は往々にして、黙るしかなくなる」アルヒポワさんは今や亡命中だ。自分が昨年5月にロシア国内法に基づき「外国の代理人」と認定されたことと、コロブコワさんの行動は、無縁ではないかもしれないと思っている。「彼女に通報された私の友人たちは、もう一切、マスコミに話をしなくなりました。なので、彼女は成功したと言えるでしょう。任務完了です」もう一人、標的にされたのは、タティアナ・チェルヴェンコさんというモスクワの教師だった。ロシア政府が2022年9月に愛国教育を導入した際、チェルヴェンコさんは独立系メディア「ドシチ（TV Rain）」で、自分は代わりに数学を教えることにしたと発言した。「ドシチ��はその後、ロシア国内では閉鎖され、今ではオランダを拠点にしている。「ドシチ」のインタビューを見たコロブコワさんは、チェルヴェンコさんを攻撃し始めた。チェルヴェンコさんの勤務先に苦情を繰り返し、モスクワの教育当局やロシアの子どもの権利当局にもクレームを重ねた。結果的にチェルヴェンコさんは、2022年12月に解雇された。画像説明, タティアナ・チェルヴェンコさんは、自分が教職を追われたのは、通報・糾弾されたからだと言うコロブコワさんは自分のしたことを、何も後悔していない様子だ。それどころか、自分が通報した人たちのデータベースを作り、その結果どうなったかも記録している。自分の通報の結果、6人が解雇されたほか、15人が罰金処分を受けたのだという。コロブコワさんは、ロシア国家の敵だと思う相手しか自分は相手にしていないと力説する。しかし、ロシア国内には個人的な恨みつらみを晴らすために通報している人もいるという話が、BBCに寄せられている。投獄され、自由を求め漁師のヤロスラフ・レフチェンコさんは、ロシア極東のカムチャッカ半島出身だ。半島は火山と珍しい野生動物で有名なだけでなく、ロシア軍が重点配備されていることでも知られる。この地域に住む人たちの多くは、ウラジーミル・プーチン大統領を支持している。レフチェンコさんの同僚たちもそうだ。画像説明, ヤロスラフ・レフチェンコさん2023年2月のことだ。レフチェンコさんの漁船は1カ月の航海を終えて、カムチャッカの港に戻った。仲間の漁師に酒を勧められたが、断った。相手の男は以前から自分に不満があったらしいと、レフチェンコさんは言う。酒を断ったことから口論になり、レフチェンコさんは頭をびんで殴られ、意識が戻った時には病院にいた。退院が許され、被害届を出そうと警察署へ行くと、通報されていたのはむしろ自分の方だと知らされた。暴行ではなく、反戦思想を理由に。愕然（がくぜん）とした。レフチェンコさんに警察は、彼を殴った同僚を訴えられるほどの証拠がないと告げたのだという。やがて7月13日になり、レフチェンコさんは逮捕された。BBCが確認した裁判資料によると、問われている罪状はテロの正当化だ。そんなことはしていないと否定するレフチェンコさんは、公判開始前という理由で勾留された。BBCと連絡をとるには、弁護士に手紙を託すしか方法がない。「私が他の船員に暴力をはたらいたと、捜査員たちは言う（中略）そして、ロシア連邦に対して敵対行為をするつもりだと、私がそう話していたことになっている」と、レフチェンコさんは私たちに書いた。画像説明, BBCが確認した書類によると、レフチェンコさんはテロを正当化した罪に問われている。本人は否認しているレフチェンコさんの友人たちは、相手の船員が自分の暴力行為をごまかし、警察の目をそらすために、彼が通報したのだろうと、私に話した。漁船内での飲酒は禁止されているのに、酒を勧めたことも、相手の男はごまかそうとしているのだろうと。「自分はただ家に戻りたい」と、レフチェンコさんは言う。「自分の牢（ろう）では、何重もの鉄格子の向こうにかろうじて、空がぎりぎり少し見えるだけで、こんなことは耐えられない」。彼がこう友人に書き送った手紙を、その友人がBBCに見せてくれた。「果てしない訴え」戦争が始まって以来、あまりに大量の通報が次々とくるため対応しきれないのだと、ロシア警察は認めている。「誰かがロシア軍を批判したという訴えが、延々と届く」ため、警察はその捜査と対応に多くの時間を割いているのだと、警察関係者はBBCに匿名で明らかにした。「特別軍事作戦」をめぐり「何かしら他人を攻撃したい人たちが、常に言いがかりの口実を探している」のだと、引退間もない警官がBBCに話した。「おかげで、たとえ具体的な中身のある本物の案件がいざ来ても、捜査しようにも人手がない。みんな、ウクライナの旗に見えるカーテンを見たという、どこかのおばあちゃんの話を確認しに、出払ってしまっているので」プーチン大統領は、「裏切り者を罰せよ」と繰り返している。そして、ウクライナでの戦争に終わりは全く見えない。それだけに、コロブコワさんのような常習的な密告者も、ほかの市民について密告するのを全くやめようとしない。「私はこれからも、通報文を書き続ける」と、彼女はメールでBBCに伝えてきた。「たくさん書かなくてはならないので、忙しい」のだという。（英語記事　Ukraine war: The Russians snitching on colleagues and strangers）
