Some Assembly Required
Fandom: Criminal Minds Pairings: Aaron Hotchner/Female Reader Word Count: 1,500 Tags: 18+, NSFW, Oral sex, Fingering, Unprotected sex, PWP Summary: When your very handy boyfriend Aaron helps put together your new office furniture, you repay his kindness the best way you know how. *Requested by @qtip-blog. Link to A03 or read below! You and Aaron have been dating for over a year, and the good times so heavily outweigh the bad it kind of blows your mind. Never before have you been in a relationship built on such mutual trust, respect, admiration—it makes you emotional to think about, he makes you emotional, all of his sweet words, his kind gestures, the ways he shows his love.
His favorite way to show he cares is to provide for you, whether it be a home-cooked meal (he’s not the best, but he’s trying,) or a book you’ve had your eye on but convinced yourself not to buy, or in this case, a new desk for your home office when the other one looked a little worse for wear.
You’re sitting on the couch one day, and he has his laptop open on his thighs, asks you to come closer and pick out the desk you’d like; you try to tell him you don’t need a new one, that the old one is still perfectly functional, but he won’t take no for an answer, wants to do this for you.
Never one to settle for bland surroundings, you choose a desk that is green, solid, that you think would look perfect in your office; you’re stuck there for hours on end, making calls and staring at a computer screen, so you might as well have something cool to look at while you’re working.
He smiles softly at your eclectic choice but adds it to his cart, and when it arrives he comes over in jeans and a t-shirt, looking like your own personal hunky handyman, and gets to work building it. You hand him screws, hold up the instructional pictures for him to look over, steal kisses, and within an hour your new desk is built, a perfect pop of color against the wall and something that will always remind you of Aaron when you look at it.
He rests his hands on it, presses down to test the load bearing capacity or something, and you look over his strong back, his denim clad ass and thighs, and suddenly you’re feeling very thankful and want to do something special to show your gratitude. You walk over to him, lift one of his hands, and slide between his body and the desk, set his hand back down so he’s caging you in against it. He raises an eyebrow, and you brush your fingers through his hair and pull him in for a kiss.
“Mmm. Is that what I get for putting together your desk? Because I’ll buy you all brand-new furniture if this is my reward.” He smooths his thumb over your chin, tips it up for more soft sips of lips, and you put your hands on his waist under his shirt, sigh.
“I’m just grateful for you. That you like to show me how much you care.” You sweep your palms up over his chest, back down to his hips, slowly flick open the button of his jeans. “Can I show you how much that means to me?” You slowly wet your lips, making your intentions very clear, and he nods his head and bends down for a series of increasingly rougher kisses that make your head spin. You tug open his fly, push his jeans and underwear down his legs, drop to your knees.
“Oh, baby,” he breathes when you take him in your mouth, both hands now pressed to the top of the desk for support. You stroke him slowly, suck softly at the first few inches of him in the way you know gradually drives him insane, look up through your lashes so he can see how flushed and aroused you are just by doing this for him.
The hand not holding him upright dips to caress his balls, and you pick up the pace a little, want to bring him off, want to hear him groan your name when he fills your mouth. He has other ideas, though, brings his hands to your cheeks and guides you off of him, pulls you up so he can kiss your soft, wet lips.
“I want to be inside you, sweetheart.” You hum, can’t deny that would be a delicious change of plans, and you slip your shorts and panties off while he pulls your t-shirt over your head. He lifts you up, sets your ass on top of your pretty new desk, and spreads your thighs. “So gorgeous,” he murmurs, and he steps out of his pants where they pool around his feet, tugs his shirt off so he’s gloriously naked, hard for you, perfect.
He leans in to kiss you, brings a hand to your pussy and rubs slowly, wets his lips when his fingers slip through your slick folds, resting against your entrance like he wants to slow down and take a moment to savor this. You gasp softly when he pushes two fingers inside, and you spread your legs wider, rolling your hips against his hand as he works you open enough to take his thick cock comfortably.
You plant your hands on his chest, pant against his lips and throat while he strokes his fingers inside you, and you squeeze your legs together and moan as you come on them, catching his praise with your softly open mouth. You tip your head back, swallow hard, and then push against his stomach so he’ll take a step back, let you hop off the desk.
He had offered to buy you a new chair to go with the desk, because your existing one is red, doesn’t really match—but you don’t care about matching, because it’s comfortable and set up just right; he hates it, though, and you’re about to make it your mission to change his mind.
“Sit for me?” you ask, pushing your hair away from your neck, because you’re overheated already and in need of some air there. He sinks back onto the chair, looks up at you like you’re already halfway to rocking his world—he always looks like that when you ride him, and it makes you feel really sexy and confident, which leads to even better sex; it’s a cycle of awesome orgasms you can’t resist initiating when you have a little extra time to feel him fall apart beneath you.
You push up the arms of the chair for a little more room, straddle his thighs with both feet on the ground, and line him up, slowly bend your knees to let him stretch you open. He sighs, puts his hands on your hips, squeezing tight, and you move up and down, taking him in all the way and then pulling off until he almost slips free. Your hands find his shoulders for leverage, and you look into his eyes as you sink down, lift off, slow and steady, covering him in your wetness and earning soft moans.
“So good, baby. So good at this, so perfect for me. God, I love you.” Your breathing gets rougher at his words and you move a hand to his head, weave your fingers into his hair, pull him close for a passionate kiss.
“I love you, Aaron. You fill me up just right.” You arch your back, legs working to bring you both slow, decadent pleasure, and he palms your ass, helps you move, takes a little of the pressure off of your thighs. “So good to me. You always take care of me, you always give me what I need.” He starts to lose control beneath you, pumping up to match your movements, and you settle into his lap, feet dangling off the ground, and just roll your hips, clutching his shoulders, moving fast.
“Oh, god, yeah. Just like that.” He brings his big hands to cover your breasts, squeezing them, rough fingers rubbing your nipples, and you throw your head back, hair falling behind you as you rock and grind and come with a whimper of his name. He thrusts harder to get you through it, to get you to make more wrecked, desperate sounds, and when he comes you both slam down hard and you can hear metal fall; you thank his quick reflexes, because he lifts you up and gets to his feet before the chair literally falls apart, bolts and a spring on the floor instead of wherever they’re supposed to be.
You gasp, laugh, tug his hair, and he chuckles and kisses you, breathless and sweaty as you both are.
“Guess I get to buy you a new chair after all,” he says, looking into your eyes, kissing your jaw, and you cling to him, grin.
“You better hope I can’t find another red one,” you pant, and he takes you to the bathroom to get cleaned up, and then you lounge on the couch while he pulls up a page of desk chairs for you to browse.
The new one is still red, but much, much sturdier than the last. The Struggle of Loving You - Chapter 25
Chapter Selection
"I'm so proud of you", Aaron whispered into my ear as I laid down on his chest.
I was finished... everything. I passed top of my class in the academy and I couldn't be happier. He was by my side the entire time. I wanted to just stay inside the whole day.
But that couldn't happen, "I got to go to work sweetheart."
I shook my head and mumbled, "Five more minutes."
"I can't be late", I rested my chin on him and glared. "You're the boss... you can be a few minutes late."
He rose his hand to rub up and down my spine, "But I know you're perfect so... I guess you can go."
Rolled off of him, laying down on my back. He chuckled and stood up going into his closet and changing into his suit. The grey suit, white dress shirt and black shoes. "You're staring again."
"Cause you have a nice ass." We laughed and I sat up, crossing my legs.
"What am I going to do today", I muttered to myself. I really had zero clue, I could go out with Chloe and them but they have jobs now. Ones that require a lot of attention.
I was living at the apartment by myself since Chloe moved out a few months after we graduated.
Before I knew it Aaron pressed a soft kiss to my lips, "I'm going."
"Bye."
"Bye", I heard the door close and he was gone. I felt lonely within seconds, being bored out of my mind even though Aaron just left. He'll be back later.
When he left it was 6am, Aaron was always getting in extremely early and because he had just gotten back to work he was eager to catch up on the paperwork that he missed.
It was 8am when I actually looked back at the clock. Only taking a peak at the time when I got a phone call. I lifted my phone and brought it up to my ear, "Hello."
"Hello this is Section Chief Erin Strauss. Am I speaking to y/n l/n."
"Yes ma'am."
"Good Morning Miss. L/n. I'm calling in regard to a position in our Behavioral Analysis Unit. Could you be by FBI headquarters in an hour?"
I was in disbelief, believing in the fact that this woman was calling me. I only knew it was really Strauss because Aaron had mention her before. She had finished talking and was waiting for my response.
"Yes ma'am."
"I look forward to meeting you." She ended the call and I tossed my phone on the bed. I was practically jumping up and down. "Hell Yeah", I darted to my closet and started looking for clothes to wear.
I laid them on the bed and jumped in the shower. Wanting to look my best, getting out I put on some light makeup. Definitely covering the faded hickeys on my neck. After I was finished I locked up the apartment and got into the car.
Still having 20 minutes to spare, I was so excited I forgot to call Aaron about the offer.
Once I was there I got a visitors pass and found Strauss's office. I knocked on her door, "Come in."
I opened the door and took nervous steps inside. She was sitting at her desk, "Agent Y/l/n?"
"Yes ma'am", she stood shaking my hand as I got closer. Both of us taking a seat; she gave me an interview but I could tell she already was going to give it to me. Asking me questions on my education and personal experience.
"Let me take you to BAU", I followed her out of her office and down the hallway. Seeing multiple people, almost every single one of them looked intimating. "Here we are", holding open the bullpen door I walked in first.
Passing the desks sitting in the middle of the room, I saw what I assume was the team. Why does he look familiar.
We walked up the stairs and I read the name on the door, Aaron Hotchner...
And there he was, sitting behind the desk scribbling notes down on his paperwork. "Agent Hotchner this is Agent Y/l/n she'll be filling in the spot of Agent Jareau", Aaron stared up at me. He was holding it together for everyone else but I saw behind that.
He wasn't crazy about me being hired in his unit, he seemed more... upset. I swallowed hard, my mouth felt dry, "Well I'll leave you two." Strauss walked out.
Aaron stood up closing the blinds, "Shut the door." I did as he asked.
"What are you doing here?"
I was in front of him as he stood his ground, "She called me a few hours after you left saying she there was an open position for the BAU... I didn't know you would be here though."
His face got even sadder, "Y/n..." He said quietly. "We can't keep doing this if you're here-- working with me."
I was taken back, my heart sank with every word that spilled. "What are you saying?"
Taking a step back he put his hands in his pockets, "Keep dating..."
I felt the tears welling up and I could tell he could too, "Why?" I tried to keep my composure but barely held on.
"If you were here before we got together it wouldn't matter but y/n... you just got hired." He paused.
"Sleeping with your boss, the unit chief of the place you work isn't exactly going to go well-- for either of us, I'll be seen as the boss that took advantage of a younger new hire. The bureau will think you slept your way in and that's not how I want people to see you."
"You didn't have a problem when you were my teacher... remember that. Wasn't exactly a good spot to be but we made it work." He lifted a hand to his forehead, "That was different, I didn't work at the university."
My voice was strained, trying to hold back the tears. "Bullshit."
"Don't make this harder than it needs to be... please." I scoffed and the tear rolled down my cheek. I could see the restraint in Aaron. Trying to hold himself back from walking over to me and wiping my face.
I stepped towards the door, "You know what-- you're right." I pressed my back to the wall and stared at him.
Right there, that's when our hearts broke. I understood his position and what would happen if we were caught. His reputation would be ruined and mine would dissipate even though it hadn't even gotten started yet.
Although we both wanted to keep seeing each other this was a way of protecting us. I knew this job was important to him. We would still be able to be around each other even if we couldn't do anything about it.
Knowing deep down this was complete and utter bullshit... both of us thought that. Aaron was breaking up with me for the sake of my future career and that was...
I really didn't want to walk out of the office. I wanted to convince him to try anyways but this was a mutual agreement, this needed to end if we wanted to keep our jobs.
"So this is it." I muttered.
"Yeah", he said quietly like he wasn't saying it to me but himself. I stayed where I was recollecting myself before I put my hand on the handle.
"Goodbye Aaron."
"Bye", whispering. I walked out to the bullpen and joined the team. Throwing on a happy face I went to their desks.
They all crowded around talking about the new hire, "There she is." Garcia whispered before they all turned around to look at me.
"You were in there for awhile, was Hotch treating you okay?" Morgan said and I smiled and nodded.
Sucking in a small breath, "Yeah he was fine it. Told me a little about you guys." I lied trying to seem normal about what actually just happened a couple of minutes ago.
Everyone introduced themselves one by one. Each of them welcoming me with open arms, I heard the door open behind me.
My turned my head to the side and saw Hotch against the rail. Both of us getting a wave of regret.
I slightly nodded and went back to the conversation the team and I were having.

The Struggle of Loving You - Chapter 33
Chapter Selection
We decided on taking things slower than before. Letting both of us get used to having the other around again. It felt strange to get that text in the morning of 'Good morning' or at the end of the night saying 'Goodnight'.
Aaron wasn't used to it either, we both got that butterfly feeling in our bodies when the other texted or called like we were teenagers.
Which is essentially what it felt like but I wasn't complaining, he was there again. Not like he had left before but now we were actually talking, getting back into the rhythm of things.
And waking up to him, hair flopped over his forehead. His arm lazily draped over my body, his face nice and relaxed.
He looked the most at peace and Aaron could say the same thing about me.
Although going into this slowly was thrown out the window during a case we were on a week after everything had happened.
I had shown up to his room with a pillow and a small blanket in my hand. Knowing he was right down the hall I couldn't sleep.
Aaron opened the door and wasn't the least bit surprised considering he was about to do the same thing to me. He was going to show up to my door with the same request, to sleep in my room.
Opening the door wider I walked in and sat on the edge of the bed.
I noticed the case files covering the hotel desk.
Of course he was working at this time. Later in the night, almost 12AM, I helped him a bit until I was falling asleep on the papers.
He had picked me up from the chair and brought me to bed, thinking it was time for him also, he'd sleep or try.
With the remainder of the case, he tried to stay as close as he could without attracting attention.
Only getting noticed by Emily, she would always be looking at us with the ghost of a smile on her face.
This morning he woke up to me cradled up next to him trying to keep warm, that was something he'd never forget.
He dipped his head down and moved his arm around me even more, my shivers calmed down and I was heating up again. He closed his eyes and was feeling content.
Ten minutes went by and he felt me shift which woke him up.
His eyes opened and he looked down at me, I had straightened out. Laying side by side with him, my face resting gently on the pillow beside him.
He turned over and brought his hand up, pushing the hair that was covering my face behind my ear. Reviling all of my features to him, he didn't think I could get more beautiful but he was wrong.
His heart ached, "Morning gorgeous."
Aaron knew I was awake, seeing the soft smile that pulled at my lips and the slight blush that rose to my cheeks.
I opened one eye then closed it when I saw his brown eyes looking back at me.
"Hey handsome", I moved closer to him.
Returning the favor I did the same thing and pushed his hair back. I carded my hands through his dark brown hair and moved it out of his face which erupted a small chuckle from him.
"How'd you sleep?", he asked me bringing my hand up to his mouth and pressed a kiss on my knuckles.
I hummed, "Better."
"Yeah cause you were almost covering me last night, surprised you got away from me this morning. You were shivering."
I swung my arms onto his shoulders, "That's why I have you, to keep me warm."
Aaron had a surprised sarcastic look on his face, "You're just using me so you don't freeze." I giggled getting off of him and stood up, walking into the shower.
"Of course sir, why else would I be here." Closing the door, then while I was getting undressed it opened again.
Aaron came in wearing his sweatpants, I reached a hand out to place it on his chest.
"I mean there's another reason I keep you around but you know, we're not going to speak of that." His drowsy smile covered his face.
"Is it because you love me?", he undressed and we stepped into the shower. "Well that's not the reason I was speaking of but I guess that works too."
As the water rained down his arms went around my torso and he kissed my neck.
Those were the little moments I missed about us. The pointless conversations, not everything was so serious. But when things did get serious we were able to be professional and talk about it. We knew there was a time and place for everything.
We moved out of the shower and back into the bedroom, getting changed.
I heard Aaron's phone vibrate on the table, "Your phone." He walked over and picked it up.
He smirked down at the text he received. "What is it?" He put down the phone and turned it off, shaking his head.
"That was my brother, he's coming down here for a week to see Jack and I. I haven't seen him in a few years."
"I didn't know you had a brother. What's his name?"
"Sean...", Aaron walked over to me and pecked my lips before going into the closet.
"And that's because you don't know everything about me yet... I have some secrets and I bet you do too. I just can't wait to hear most of them." He was right, I did have secrets.
And not any that I would admit, when it came to secrets I definitely had some skeletons in the closet. But those wouldn't be shared, nobody needs to know.
When we finished I got into the car and started driving over to the office, we took separate cars. As I got out and walked towards the building Aaron trailed behind me.
Making our way to the elevator Reid was already there waiting for it. "Oh hey."
"Hi", the elevator arrived and we all walked in.
"Y/n, I've been meaning to ask you. There's this science convention next weekend that I wanted to go to, did you want to come with me?" I felt Aaron move his picky and intertwine it with mine. Sort of as a reminder that I was his.
"Next weekend? Any topic in particular you wanna see." Aarons finger was still locked with mine until Reid walked in front of us then his hand dropped.
"There's going to be a lecture led by Freeman Dyson. This almost never happens anymore because of his age, he's too tired to lecture anymore... It's sad really."
"I'd love to. Let me know when so I can get ready." Reid talked more about this convention and what else he wanted to see. I liked when he was able to ramble, mainly because I was genuinely interested in the topics he talked about.
I always had a busy mind and wanted to learn more, and who better to learn from than Reid. Hotch knew I was into the conversation and asked a few questions as well.
We walked out of the elevator and through the glass doors, we all broke off to our desks. Reid sat down and was talking to me as I flipped through some of the case files I never finished.
I had promised Aaron I'd get them done by the end of the day.
I was already tired of the work and I had just started. Four hours went by and I had only finished six of the files while Spencer had finished the rest of his.
He sat there with his face stuffed into a book, I turned to him.
"Spencer, how much for you to do half of these for me", I knew he already had a price, I was just waiting for him to say the number.
"Fifty dollars."
"Really?", I groaned and reached into my pocket to grab my wallet. I handed him a fifty and he happily took it and tucked it away.
He reached over and grabbed a good portion of the stack. "Thank you."
"You're welcome." Cocky ass

The Struggle of Loving You - Chapter 28
Chapter Selection
Three months later
Emily and Garcia made plans for the team. They had spoken to JJ and we all were going to get drinks later today.
I was sitting in my car driving over to the coffee shop, I hadn't gotten any for the apartment and the coffee at the office tasted burnt.
I stood in line and my mind wandered over to Hotch, it was earlier in the morning... maybe he wanted some. But I also thought about when he was hurt. When the arrow was sticking out of his body.
"That's my girl", what did he mean by that. Why did he say that?
It could've been from the blood loss. That he was disoriented. Hotch was still getting over the injury, he had a close call in surgery. He had already lost so much blood laying on the floor waiting for the ambulance.
I was sitting in the waiting room for hours, I never left to the hotel.
When he woke up I was the first person he saw. With a weak smile spread across his face, he was happy to see me. Nothing ever happened after that though, no little moments.
Other than staying with him in the hospital I was rarely there.
Emily helped him for the most part, helping him get home. Jack was staying with Hayley until Hotch was fully recovered.
He couldn't wait to get back to work, when he did he wasn't allowed in the field. Being strictly confined to the office, but it was better than nothing at all.
We talked more than we did before that day but not as much as I would like. I found the awkward silence was better than breaking it so we barely said anything.
I ordered and decided on getting everyone a cup. After paying I got back into my car and drove to the office, walking inside and deciding on taking the elevator.
Before the elevator doors closed the person inside opened them for me, "Hey mama."
I smiled and remembered, "Oh here... got you some."
I handed him his cup and we walked inside the bullpen. "Are the rest for you", he laughs.
"Of course, you know I drink nothing but coffee." I went around the desks and placed their drinks on it.
"It would explain why you're always hyper and jittery", scoffing, I put Reids drink down in front of him.
"You have jokes now."
His boyish smile tugged on his lips and he looked back down at his book. I turned back and glanced up at Hotch's office, seeing his figure in the window.
Taking a few deep breaths I grabbed the last cup and walked up. Knocking softly I heard his deep voice rumble through the door.
He looked up from his desk, "Y/n?" He dropped his pen, I placed the drink on his. "Still take it black?" He huffed.
"Yeah", the small talk was over, I made my way towards the door until he stopped me. "Are you going with us tonight?"
"Wouldn't miss it", with that I walked out to my desk, getting started on the pile of paperwork that needed to be done. Being a slow day, there were no interruptions.
I took a few phone calls but nothing major. I knew who was coming up behind me when I heard the heels clicking.
"Y/n come on" , I tossed my head back and stood up collecting the completed files in my hands. "Alright hold on", Garcia waited by my desk while I dropped off my work.
"Done already?", he was a little surprised. "Hotch you have to know by now I always exceed your expectations."
"That you do."
We shared a smile, inside I was still grinning. I would be lying if I said I didn't enjoy those very limited small conversations.
"We're gonna dress her up", Pen said to Emily as we joined her in the elevator. I got in my car and they met me at the apartment. Walking in I left the door open because they were right behind me.
"Bedroom now", Emily said and she shut the door, we all marched down the hallway.
I sat on the bed, not touching anything. I watched as they tore through my closet looking for a good dress. "Oh shit y/n, what about this."
She held out the dress I wore underneath my gown for graduation. The fitting skin tight dress, that hugged everything the right way.
It was also the dress I was wearing when Hotch and I ended up fucking in the club.
It brought back memories I didn't want to remember at the moment. "I don't know about that... I don't think it fits anymore."
"Try it anyways", she handed it to me and I wasn't going to fight her on it. I grabbed it and headed to the bathroom, closing the doors and threw it on.
I ran my hands over my body, feeling the fit.It still fit perfectly, I walked out and showed them, "See it fits, wear it."
"I would but I don't have any shoes for it", right as those words were said Emily pulled out the pair of black heels Chloe would let me borrow. "Who's Chloe?"
"Old friend", they shrugged and put my clothes back in the closet, cleaning up their mess.
"Aren't you guys going to change?", they walked into the kitchen and Em pulled out a bottle of wine.
"Trust me that'll take five minutes for me to get ready", Garcia agreed because she was already ready.
"So... do you like Hotch?", Em said pouring me a glass. I shifted away a few inches and took the glass. I brought it to my lips.
"He's okay", she raised her eyebrows and Pen just cocked her head to the side.
"What's that look for?" , she shook her head. "No reason— It just seems that both of you I don't know, like each other."
I almost choked on my drink, I started laughing a bit. I tried to act like she was lying but the blush creeping up my cheeks gave it away.
But I could blame that on the wine, "What makes you say that? We barely have spoken more than a minute and he doesn't even stay around me for more than he needs to."
Even Garcia was looking at me like I was crazy. Was it that obvious... I get they're profilers but we haven't done anything at all to insinuate feelings whatsoever.
"Really y/n you're going to stand there and say you don't like him... I'm not a profiler and I can tell the little subtle glances. How his eyes linger on you for a little too long. And you do the same thing to him. There may be no words but it's something."
I wasn't sure what to say... couldn't exactly say to them that I used to fuck our boss. That we broke it off because of the job.
"I don't know, I mean he's attractive yes but I wouldn't."
It pained me to say that... all I wanted to do was jump into his arms.
To have him kiss me until I couldn't breathe, my body yearned for his touch and my mind craved him as a person.
I wanted him back but that wasn't realistic, not right now.
Emily got a text and checked her phone.
"Let's go", Emily mumbled, trying not to spill her wine. I followed them out to the car and we drove to meet the team and JJ.
Getting there I was hounded with questions, they just wanted to get to know me more. But then it started getting personal and somehow worked its way back to Hotch.
"Okay can we stop", I mumbled. They barely heard me but they got the message. I was over it, talking about anything was fine but I wanted to stay away from that subject.
Constantly asking what he thinks of me and vice versa. Whether we'd be a good couple or not, I already knew those answers.
And those answers hurt more than anything because I also know how that ended.
Walking into the club I already saw where everyone was, Morgan was on the floor joined with a few women.
Rossi was in the corner working on the next Mrs Rossi, Reid was also at the bar talking to the bartender.
Hotch... he was talking to a woman that had made herself comfortable at our table.
I took a deep breath and made my way over with Emily and Garcia, "Is JJ he— hey." Em spotted JJ walking out of the bathroom.
"I missed you so much, how are you guys?" JJ came over and gave a big hug to Em and Pen. I stood there awkwardly, "This— is y/n she was the one I told you about." They pulled me closer to them.
"Hi, they told me a lot about you", I said with a smile. My eyes kept fixating over to Hotch that was now smiling at her and making her laugh.
"Nice to meet you, guys. I'm going to sit down." They nodded and said they were going to grab some shots for all of us.
I went over to the table and Hotch turned his head to the side, seeing me. As I got closer he started to ignore the woman he was with, me being his only focus.
I sat down next to him, "Who's your friend?" The woman said in a jealous tone.
"Kelly this is y/n, we work together", she looked me up and down. I wasn't having it, I wasn't in the mood for a pissing match. If she wanted him she could take him.
"You look gorgeous by the way", the woman scoffed and got up from the table. Now it was just us... together alone.
"Thank you", he was about to open his mouth when the team came back over with the drinks. "Aye look who finally got here." I laughed as Morgan sat next to me.
"I got here like five minutes ago not to mention the same time as Garcia and Emily."
"Didn't see you. You're not a very vocal person, but it's ok mama", he put an arm around me and kissed my temple. Smiling, I reached in the middle for a shot.
I looked around and didn't notice the woman Morgan was with, "Where are little lady friends."
He looked down at the drink in his hand and finished it, "Oh I'll be seeing them soon."
Tossing my head back I took a shot and my throat burned while it made its way down.
All joining me they went for it. "Reid what happened with the bartender, she was into you."
"No she wasn't"
"Reid I know I'm new and I get you're a profiler but how could you not tell, it's obvious."
"Really", Reid said, I could see the pink covering his face. He was embarrassed that he didn't notice.
"Yes smart ass, go get some", Emily told him and he took another shot for confidence and went back to the bar.
Minutes after that Morgan brought over more drinks and seeing as I wasn't really in the best state of mind because of what Garcia and Emily were talking about prior to the gathering, I was upset.
I continuously started drinking with no sign of stopping.
