If Jordan didn’t want us to ship wlw aes sedai pairings, he wouldn’t make Tar Valon looking like a huge vagina.

A typical day at Tar Valon
*Walk walk, fashion baby starts playing*
Aes Sedai 1: Do you hear that?
Aes Sedai 2: Hear what?
Aes Sedai 1: Listen.
*Walk walk, fashion baby gets louder*
Aes Sedai 1: That!
Aes Sedai 2: Oh, that?
Leane Sharif: *walks by* WALK WALK, FASHION BABY intesifies
Aes Sedai 2: That's just Leane walking. That happens when she gets closer.
Aes Sedai 1: Oh.
Leane: *Walk walk, fashion baby gets lower*
Aes Sedai 1: *whispers* Slay, momma

Trying to make this blog as spoiler-free, show-only crowd safe as possible, so I’ll just point out:
I love this shot. The EW article explains Nyneave and Egwene have gone back to Tar Valon, where we last saw Mat and the end of S1E8. There they’ll train to be Aes Sedai. We saw in Season 1 the Accepted dresses, which was super cool. And here it looks like our first shot of the Novice dress. Plain white, as in the books.
The novices of course are often given chores and kitchen duty, as we see here. Builds character. Plus it seems to be a kind of hazing. In a way, it brings all Aes Sedai together: they all went through the novice phase and survived it. But it sure isn’t easy, and the weak are weeded out.
Finally, I love the set of the kitchens of the White Tower. Kitchens are such an underrepresented setting in fantasy and science fiction, but one of the most telling and important places. They show you what people eat, how they live their day to day lives, the little things that make up life but don’t often get prime time treatment. I love its cavernous feel, lightened by the windows but still lit in such a way to make it feel like a basement or a dungeon.

Moiraine: "Uh, Rand? What's with the hand?"
Rand: "Huh? Oh! Sorry, this is just what I've gotten used to with Lady Selene."
Moiraine: " . . . . "
Rand: " . . . It's calming for her."
Moiraine: " . . . . . !"
Rand: "She says she can't take me seriously if I don't."

Damn, I had forgotten how much I enjoyed Min's involvement on the earlier books. Especially in TSR, when at the beginning of the book she has the vision of the Tar Valon's coup.
I feel sorry for Min having such power to foresee others' injuries and deaths. It's not a pleasant power to her. But story wise, it's cool to have someone give us hints of the future battle to come. So I'm glad that Jordan decided to make Min part of the Tar Valon's arc of this book. It's easily my favourite arc of hers.
Also, since I often talk about the wondergirls and the power of female friendship in the series, let's not forget that those three are Min's friends, too. And thus we get small- but great!- moments of Min freaking out because she thought that the girls never returned to Tar Valon after Falme, and her being glad that her friends aren't there so she can't possibly foresee death in their futures, too. She also protected Elayne's identity, as one of the three women she has seen in her vision to fall in love with Rand, from Siuan.
