"Nikolai Vasilyevich Gogol (1809-18520 schreibte sein Epos Taras Bulba, über neun Jahren: 1833 bis 1842. Der Kampf der Ukrainische Menschen für ihre Unabhängigkeit ausführtet durch die 16th und 17th Jahrhunderten, wird Gogol inspiriert. Er war ein gross Patriot seiner Land. Die tiefgründung Bedeutung des Roman, die aufregend Figuren, die bunte Darstellung des Lebens der Menschen, immortalisiert der Epos Gogol."

Meiner Meinung:

Sehr langweilig.....keine gute Handlung, keine gute Figuren, ich wurde es nicht Empfehlung. Ich habe den Film gesehen (mit mein Lieblingsschauspieler, Yul Brynner) aber der Roman ist sehr unterschiedlich und gerade langweilig. Ich verstehe, dass es ein unterschiedlich Zeit war, aber ich sollte vorwarnen: es gibt viel Antisemitismus und Rassismus. Ich fühlte, dass es nicht durchdacht war. z.B es war gerade Reisen, Schlacht, Reisen, Sclacht usw...

Lots of little instrumentation details in this! Double snares, double timpani, bass drum holding a bells belt in their other hand. (Of course, the double timps might be a holdover from an earlier piece, as I don't see two sets in a studio recording, and there are double pianos on stage which aren't used for this.)

Johnny “K-9” Croitoru passed away in 2017 at the age of 53 at a halfway…

He is dauntless in battle, defiant in adversity and loyal to his comrades. With his last words, he foresees the coming of an invincible tsar. Taras Bulba, hero of Nikolai Gogol’s novella of the same name, is an avowed Russian patriot. Yet something in the picture is askew. Taras wears trousers “wide as the Black Sea”; he carries the gunpowder for his Turkish pistol in a dangling horn. This ideal Russian is actually a Ukrainian Cossack. His story, and Gogol’s own, are a reminder of the nuances of identity in their tense region—and of lost possibilities in Russia’s relations with Ukraine.

If you’re Ukrainian Jewish and you read Taras Bulba as a slapstick comedy you get a real giggle when he tries strategy and immediately fucks it up. The great classic of Russian nationalism is fucking hilarious.
