I love trying new wines from everywhere around the world. However, where I live in Michigan sometimes limits what I'm able to have access to.

Recently I was asked by someone with the same situation if they should try a sparkling that they see carried everywhere. It can't be any good right? I decided this week to take one for the team and tried LaMarca's Prosecco. You can find this in all areas of the country and its reasonably priced.

Ontem tive o prazer de degustar (pela primeira vez) um vinho da chilena @EcheverriaWines, em evento on-line da @Evino que contou com a presença do enólogo @RI.Echeverria e vários amigos aqui do Insta (e conduzido pela querida @JessicaMarinzeck). 🇨🇱 O vinho degustado foi o “Echeverria Gran Reserva Syrah/Carmenere 2018”: corte de 60% Syrah e 40% Carménère do Vale Central com 12 meses de maturação em barricas francesas e americanas. 🍷 Cor rubi de média intensidade. Aromas de frutas vermelhas e negras maduras, pimenta-do-reino, leve herbáceo (pimentão) e discreta madeira. Em boca é seco, tem corpo médio, acidez moderada e taninos médio- (super macios). Tem fruta, especiarias e leve salinidade, com moderada persistência. 📝 Bom vinho! Muito equilibrado e “redondinho”, com boa fruta e madeira muito bem integrada. We shared the "Maccheroncini di pasta fresca con ragù di cortile" to start - a tasty #primipiatti more than enough to share between two. For #Secondi ~ Andy went for the Beef Fillet "Filetto “Vittorio Emanuele” con riduzione al Porto, fichi secchi e scaloppa di foie gras" while I went for the Tuna Steak "Filetto di tonno fresco con sesamo e maionese vegana" Both dishes were perfectly presented and delicious too. In my quest to find a wine that suits my extremely sweet palette we went with the recommendation of the waiter for a local wine; "Cristina" ~ a dessert wine. This wine is dangerously sweet, you could be drinking a carton of apple juice, you can barely tell it's wine. Sperimentare. Questo mi piace, così da trovare un vino semplice che può comunque essere di effetto. Il Montepulciano Masciarelli 2019 si presente nel calice di un bel rosso rubino con riflessi porpora. Un naso semplice di more e marasca. Note terrose di sottobosco e fiori rossi. C’è anche una nota ematica che si risente in bocca con una certa durezza. In bocca comunque è piacevole. Secco, caldo, con tannini maturi mai invadenti. Freschezza decisa e gradevole. Ritornano piacevolmente i frutti rossi. Un vino piacevole anche se occorre fare attenzione alla nota ematica perché se abbinata male rende il piatto ancora più amaro. La chiusura di bocca è precisa e il vino si può definire strutturato e l’abbinamento con un pecorino è stato vincente. Costo circa 9€ al Carrefour.
