so a recent twst tweet by yana toboso regarding the release of ch7 stated that silver was originally going to call lilia 'father-sama' but it ended up being changed to 'father-dono' because of all the '-sama' honorifics diasomnia uses when addressing each other

all of this to say that i'm no japanese speaker, but a quick google search tells me that "originally 'Lord' in the feudal sense, [-dono] once denoting a higher level of respect than -sama" which just fuels my sad little notion that Silver truly holds no one in his heart higher than Lilia and once again, his entire existence boils down to his father, his father's teachings, and the worth he's found in between the two.
