Don’t Be A Moron On The Internet.

Once there was a league of really horrible people known as the League of Idiots, these guys belonged to a website called Moron-Barn, a website ‘dedicated’ finding out lulcows and making them look like idiots when in actually they were the idiots, sometimes picking on people that didn’t deserve it in the slightest such as Mariana Hanks who they kept shaming and misgendering even though she had the right to use male pronouns because there was no rule that said she couldn’t use those pronouns.

The members consisted of PutridKid…an ex super-sidekick who was a grotesque subhumanoid with puke based powers, Baconator whose only power was turning into bacon that was extremely burned, Rock-Hard-Arby whose only abnormal trait was that he was cursed to have skin that constantly cracked like it was made of marble, and Skroat Sneeb…who had only had one power and that power was very much just being a walking sex joke. These guys very much hated Mariana for being different and picked on her for being interested in weird things, their biggest forum thread was nothing but old screencaps of her comments that they took out of context.

One night Mariana decided she had enough of being treated like well…you know, by them and decided she wanted to get revenge so she called on the powers of darkness, the darkness influenced her and turned her into a being that could punish them for their actions, she used her supposed real form to fool them, looking as gross and ugly as possible. After posting a screencap from last year, Skroat was about to find out just how wrong he was…’This post from a year ago is from a video that is a repost of a video that doesn’t exist any more but that doesn’t stop me from saying how I like that she admits to being crazy yet she gets offended at being mispronouned. Male is a sex.’

Skroat of course was ignorant and he didn’t think that it was right for a woman to use male pronouns, but because he had been taught to be a biggot by the others. ‘You’re a woman, yet you use male pronouns?’ ‘There is no law against that but there should be one against you.’ Mariana responded. ‘Well too bad, huh?’

That’s when he knew he screwed up, as Mariana’s eyes glowed a supernatural greenish glow and she transformed into her actual real form which was more attractive. ‘Gotcha. That short, dumpy hairy form of mine…yeah, that is a disguise to distract you from what i’m actually like.’ ‘So that ugly form is a disguise?’

She smirked as she looked over at him…’Since you like to misgender me and you think that digging up my past is cool, how would you like to see what it’s like to be female? Since you’re not going to do anything good with your current form how about I give you my ugly form?’ ‘What do you mean by that?’ before he had the chance to even react he heard a gurgling sound coming from his stomach which inflated and developed some hairs on it, as the hairs travelled up his arms which also broadened as his hands shrank in shape but also became a bit meatier as his fingernails lengthened.

The hairs also spread onto his legs which contorted into a more womanly pair as two round formations slowly blossomed on his chest which formed into bossoms that were at least more than two triple C cups, and he also gained some pimples on his back, as he gained some furo n his body as well.

He groaned as his rear plumped up, splitting his ratty jeans down in the middle and making them into shorts as his feet shrank and enlarged, he knew now that he messed up and he tried to take back his words, but now the words of ‘if she didn’t comment on it, she would have been forgotten very easily’ were echoing in his mind and making his mind react to this, now the male pronoun ‘he’ didn’t seem right to ‘her’. She groaned as her shoulders retracted in size and her neckline altered, her hair turning from its ratty auburn color to a dark brown and growing messier as she developed pimples on her face while her eyebrows thickened and her nose enlarged, her skin became softer and paler too.

She didn’t recognize herself anymore…as she found herself starting to think that she was Mariana and this was natural, ‘Skroat’ sounded like a name someone who was trying to be gross was using, ‘Mariana’ looked at herself for a bit as her features warped to look like the real Mariana’s ugly form. Her privates retracted but she didn’t need those anyway, sex was never an issue to her as her voice changed, and developed a British accent.

She looked a bit like a humanoid gorilla but she didn’t mind, she didn’t care for beauty, she was now Mariana and she was okay with that. Meanwhile the real Mariana turned to PutridKid who seemed to be hyperfixated on cows…’Oh you like cows, huh? Well then..how do you like this?’

Mariana clicked her fingers and as she did, PutridKid noticed that creme-ish fur was creeping up his arms which were bulking up, and then he felt a tingling sensation in his hands as his fingers hardened and fused together, resembling flexible hooves more than hands as his stomach enlarged, causing several of the buttons on his shirt to pop up and one of his jean buttons also popped off too as his legs enlarged.

“Am I turning into a cow?”

“Well actually not just any cow…a certain cartoon cow.”

He gulped as his privates retracted and he saw four nipples of sorts forming below his stomach which formed into teets, which formed into an udder which burst the front of his jeans open, exposing his new udder to everyone. His whole body slowly gained weight with each passing minute, making him heavier and heavier and making his clothing tighter and tighter, finally..with a rip his pants tore off, exposing his much rear and udder to everyone who was watching him and laughing.

But that wasn’t all through, he noticed his legs altering too as his socks ripped open to allow his feet to alter, becoming hooved feet to match his hands as a tail like that of a cow emerged from his rear. He panicked as two brown spots formed on his back. Two short yellow horns emerged out of the top of his head as his ears became bovine-like, his eyes widened as his face slowly pushed into a bovine muzzle…even though he was a cow, he could still talk and was intelligent, but his voice altered and changed…to sound like Charlie Addler doing a female voice, as he or rather ‘she’ at this point knew who she was becoming, she was becoming Cow from the Cartoon Network show Cow and Chicken.

PutridKid…or rather…just ‘Cow’ now cried out but she found it wasn’t so bad as she forgot all about being a part of Moron-Barn and just remembered being a lovable sister to ‘Chicken’ and a ‘fairy princess’. ‘I am sorry for what I did. I didn’t know.’ ‘It’s alright, you made a mistake and bet on the wrong side.’ Mariana turned towards Baconator, who seemed to be trying to demean her.

“Oh so you like trying to roast me, do you?”

“Uhhhh…I don’t know, yeah…I do.”

‘Well since you like roasting pigs so much, how about you actually become one?’ She concentrated her dark powers on him and she did, Baconator found himself bloating up as his skin turned a much pinker than normal tone, he looked at his chest and he reached out to touch it only to found two round formations slowly developing on them, blossoming out into what was commonly known as breasts.

He panicked as he looked at his hands which had softened, his whole body plumped up as his clothing contorted into a glamorous blue gown and a mink coat as his hips flared out, his back arched as his hips flared out and his feet slowly became two-toed trotters that could still fit in shoes, as his shoes became a pair of red sandals. He panicked even more as his privates retracted. But the panic began to subside when he heard the word ‘Piggy’ in his head, which made him think differently about this situation, or rather ‘Miss Piggy’ because he began to think he was this ��Miss Piggy’ in question.

His neckline altered as his hair lengthened, turning from brown to blonde and growing down to his shoulders as his ears shifted to look like those of a pig, eyelashes blossomed around his eyes as eyeshadow was applied around them and his eyes in general turned blue, his nose enlarged and began to reshape itself…his face pushing into a cute sort of half porcine snout/muzzle as his voice feminized, inside his mind the name ‘Miss Piggy’ was echoing and now that’s when he realized, he wasn’t born a he…but a ‘she’, she was now Miss Piggy, then again she had always been Miss Piggy. Miss Piggy looked at the clothes in her ‘former self’s’ wardrobe and threw them out. ‘Ick, how passe and gouache. I can’t imagine anyone wearing these in public.’

When her transformation finished she felt much better and she apologized to Mariana..’That was terribly rude of me to judge you based on what you like. Please forgive moi.’ ‘No worries, I forgive you.’ Mariana hugged them and then used a spell to vanquish the forum thread all about her to the forum graveyard, where it was buried and then taken all the way up to forum thread heaven where it was allowed to rest in peace and move on.

“Thank you for understanding…”

‘And now there’s one more thing left…’ Mariana concentrated as she shifted in form once again, this time turning into Demi Moore and using a spell to erase her ugly form to make it so she never had that form. ‘This is much better. I hated that ugly form anyway, it was too short and I couldn’t show off how awesome I am in that form, too short and hairy for my liking. Now this is way sexier, this is my new natural form. But that doesn’t mean I cannot be male if I want to, oh no.’

And thus with that Mariana had finished what she had set out to do as the rest of the MoronBarn admins and members eventually found out what appeared to their ex-members and got transformed as well, rumor has it that some of them went into hiding afterwards after the site got found out and reported for being a den of harassment and everything-LGBTQIA-phobia, and another rumor has it that the head admin in charge of the site already had left this universe long before it started.

Like with all stories here comes a vital lesson, remember..if you ever try to dig up a dead forum thread by using screencaps that are of a post from a year ago and if you ever try to attack anyone for identifying as another gender or even another species, there will be hell to pay, anyone can use any pronoun, a man can use ‘she’ and a ‘woman’ can use he or even they, and there is no law that says that he or she can’t use pronouns that fit them.

If Odin has amnesia (it's a rumor), how do you think that will affect his relationships with his sons?

//Damn, you ask great questions.

I think this highly depends on to what extent memory impacts personality and motives. Memory certainly holds huge sway over how much we incorporate indoctrinated truths (that is, socio-cultural matters, and politics), but not, I think, the personality we were born with.So apply that to Odin. Odin’s personality: tenacious, calculating, proud, self-righteous, and temperamental (I’m willing to bet the temper came more and more, however, with age and privilege). Odin’s beliefs: kingdom–legacy–is prime, and takes precedence, paradoxically, even over family. It’s always us versus them, and it’s best to defer conflict, but if conflict is necessary, full warfare is justified. The people who comprise “them” are implicitly inferior, and even make “them” subhumanoid. All this impacts how the Odin we know treats Thor and Loki. Thor is groomed and pampered and praised and in exchange must be Odin’s doppleganger one day. If he resembles Odin in any of the wrong ways (temper, entitlement) suddenly he is harshly punished, and left flabbergasted as to why, because never before have boundaries of good behavior been clearly established. He is also pitted implicitly against his little brother because Loki is Odin’s convenient pedagogical tool, a cautionary tale: everything NOT to be. Loki on the other hand, initially a political pawn, and a metaphorical possession in Odin’s extensive armory, is held to a standard of impossible perfection for which he’s never offered positive reinforcement. He is openly gaslit into thinking himself inferior to Thor, which as we all know festers into toxic jealousy. Knowing that Loki is a “them,” that is, a Jotun, and therefore “inferior by birth,” only exacerbates Odin’s dismissive treatment of his younger son, even though it’s probably not conscious racism (often racism works that way: we think it’s all klansmen and nazis and burning crosses and shouting slurs, but it’s systematic too, and so full of unconscious micro-aggressions, and we don’t want to admit to our racism, just as Odin, before falling into the Odinsleep, indignantly “assured” Loki that Loki was “twisting his words” and he held no ill will against him for being a Frost Giant). Okay so take away Odin’s BELIEFS, assuming his amnesia is bad enough to wipe the slate clean. Beliefs are learned, not innate, so that means memory is a huge part of ingraining them in a person. And let’s remember what we saw of Odin’s father Bor: that flashback in the Dark World, in which he happily committed genocide on the Dark Elves, essentially birthing Malekith’s eons-long enmity with Asgard? Yeah, lol. Not the best role model, even by feudal cultural standards, and this kind of stuff is cyclical through generations. Taking that into account, we return to Odin’s inborn personality: tenacious, calculating, proud, self-righteous, and temperamental. I think, with Loki, without the knowledge that he’s a Jotun and that the Jotnar are so “horrible” that it’s best to conceal the truth of their heritage from them, it’s kind of……a bitter irony? Because Odin robbed Loki of the choice of knowing the truth about the circumstances of his birth, a part of who he was. And now Odin can’t remember who HE is, or who his son is. And losing that knowledge prevents him from the very bigoted thought processes that led him to do Loki such a “mercy” (and keep Loki docile and complicit in putting Thor on the throne). Am I saying Odin might treat Loki with more dignity and positive regard? Yeah, I actually think he might. Maybe that’s part of Loki’s plan. Maybe Loki didn’t kill Odin, and Odin wasn’t resurrected an amnesiac human. Maybe the amnesia derives from a spell Loki cast. Maybe, despite “not doing it for him,” Loki still wants his adoptive father’s love. After all, he did kill his birthfather and threaten the existence of his own race for the same goal, not many years earlier. That is how desperate he got to be seen, acknowledged, and approved of. Odin is not really just like Thor, as fanon would have us believe. Odin is like both of his sons, innately, including in bad ways. The Draconian streak, the aptitude in magic, the foresight and Machiavellian decisions? Loki and Odin are on the same wavelength. The pride, the temper, the self-centeredness? Those are Thor. Why then does Odin choose Thor over Loki as his favored son? Because Thor emblematizes what Asgardian CULTURE APPROVES OF, and Loki does NOT. So hey, that means Odin with amnesia might choose Loki over Thor, given more objectivity, right? Well. I’m not sure. Because what kind of a father would unequivocally, publicly, blatantly, choose one son over the other, because that son exemplified everything “cool” and “with it” and EASY to brag about, everything that made that father look good too? An INNATELY selfish one. Odin is innately selfish. For all his boasts about putting the kingdom before personal needs? That kingdom IS Odin. It’s metonymical of Odin. Odin does what makes Odin look glorious. So I can’t begin to imagine what someone so egocentric is going to do without his memory, to his sons or anyone else. I think Odin was born a selfish and ruthless person, and Asgardian culture just provided him a materialized pathway for expressing those personality traits. In other words, I am not optimistic. But Marvel may retcon him enough to make us feel sorry for him. We’ll see.

И немного о Ллойде Кауфмане, Майкле Херце и Troma Entertainment

Troma Studios, основанная в ранних 80-х прошлого века, занимается выпуском и распространением самых неряшливых, безвкусных и грубых фильмов, эксплуатируя жанр околофантастических ужастиков и смешивая их с молодёжной комедией. Самой известной франшизой, появившейся на свет стараниями Кауфмана и Херца, является ультрамалобюждетная безвкусная серия приключений отвратного мутанта, появившегося в результате падения некоего нерда-задохлика в чан с токсичными отходами и обретения им суперсилы, направленной на отмщение преступникам и спасение красоток из беды. Пародирующая супергеройские фильмы первоначальная лента, The Toxic Avenger 1984-го года под режиссурой Майкла Херца, внезапно обрела популярность, и Troma выпустили ещё три продолжения. Также появился мультфильм с похожим сюжетом, названный The Toxic Crusader, где наравне с заглавным мутантом действовали его не менее уродливые сотоварищи. Позднее Ллойд Кауфман в книге 1998 года, посвященной его карьере в общем, и работе в Troma в частности, заявил: “Всё, что мне нужно было знать о создании кино, я сам понял во время съёмок Токсичного Мстителя”. Фанатами Toxie, насколько мне известно, являются такие гранды кинематографа, как Квентин Тарантино и Кевин Смит. Таковы слэшер-пародия Blood Hook (1986), треш-комедия о противоборствующих бандах, в стиле Mad Max делящих побережье пост-апокалиптической Калифорнии в Surf Nazis Must Die (1987), смешивающие комедию со всеми вообразимыми жанрами ленты Fortress of AmeriKKKa и Chopper Chicks In Zombie Town (1989), A Nymphoid Barbarian in Dinosaur Hell( 1991), около полицейский стёб Blondes Have More Guns (1995), псевдошекспировский трэш Tromeo and Juliet (1996) и т.д.

Интересно, что в картинах производства Troma снимались такие получившие впоследствии известность актёры, как Кевин Костнер, Сэмюэль Л. Джексон и Билли Боб Торнтон. Даже Трей Паркер и Мэтт Стоун, создатели сверхпопулярного мультфильма South Park, свою первую совместную полнометражную работу, Cannibal! The Musical, выпустили благодаря компании Кауфмана и Херца. Но вернусь ко второму, ставшему культовым, сериалу Troma Entertainment, а именно - Class of Nuke ‘Em High. Выпущенный в 1986 году одноимённый комедийный фильм ужасов про школу в окрестностях атомной электростанции города Тромавилля (основное место действия псевдофантастических проектов студии, вымышленный городок в Нью-Джерси, называемый также Toxic Chemical Capital of the World) изначально просто стебал защитников мирного атома и многочисленные подростковые комедии.

Банда школьных хулиганов торчит на марихуане, выращенной под стенами АЭС. Время от времени происходят утечки радиации и токсичных отходов, но всем на это плевать, так как к смертям, зачастую ужасным, население уже привыкло. Проблемы начинаются, когда парочка влюблённых старшекласников под воздействием чудо-травы зачинает мутанта, которого девушка позднее сливает в унитаз. Конфликт между травокурами The Cretins и незадачливым папаней мутанта перерастает в школьный бунт, заканчивающийся кровавой баней, которую устраивает подросший в бочке с зелёной жижей монстр. В финале чудовище, в стиле Тараса Бульбы, мочит папаша, а заодно разрушается и вся школа.

Разумеется, критики фильм не восприняли, хотя я не понимаю, почему столь глупый и непосредственный трэш, несмотря на всю его агрессивность, кто-то решил воспринимать всерьёз и с каких это пор высмеивание стало артхаусом, требующим вдумчивого подхода. Тем не менее, картина стала культовой в категории B и обрела продолжения.

В 1991 году вышел Class of Nuke ‘Em High 2: Subhumanoid Meltdown, с первым фильмом связанный лишь местом действия (виртуальным, в реальности съёмки, напротив, проводились в Лос-Анджелесе, тогда как производство первой картины происходило в Нью-Йорке). Меньше жестокости, больше юмора, открытого стёба и sexploitation. Режиссёрское кресло занял Эрик Лузил, сотрудничавший в то время с Troma, Кауфман и Херц занялись продюссированием и в качестве камео озвучили пилотов вертолёта. Акценты в фильме сместились в сторону развлечения, энергичного, безвкусного и чокнутого.

Власти Тромавилля решили забить на школу и открыли технологический институт, благо студентов можно подрядить на обслуживание АЭС. Профессор Хольт, с подачи ректора, занимается выведением вынесенных в заглавие субгуманоидов, скрещивая людей и мутировавшие под воздействием токсинов и радиации формы жизни. Получившиеся мутанты являются отличными сервиторами, почти не выделяются среди людей и есть лишь одна проблема - они недолговечны и имеют свойство “расплавляться”. Пока профессор Хольт ищет противоядие, студент института и, по совместительству, журналист студгазеты Роджер во время эксперимента по скрещиванию влюбляется в субгуманоида Викторию. Ректор и руководство института не хочет ждать окончания экспериментов Хольт, так как даже недолговечных мутантов вполне можно использовать в качестве пушечного мяса, к примеру. После захвата профессора и её субгуманоидов, который главы АЭС и института осуществили в помощью новой банды, называющейся Squirrels, Роджер, ради спасения возлюбленной, пытается организовать студенческий мятеж. В это же время местная белка, обожравшаяся мутагенов, вырастает до неимоверных размеров и аки Годзилла разносит и станцию, и институт. А ещё на кампусе появляется на несколько секунд сам The Toxic Avenger.

Вышедший тремя годами позднее Class of Nuke ‘Em High 3: The Good, the Bad and the Subhumanoid фактически продолжает повествование с того же места, где завершился предыдущий фильм. Режиссёра решили не менять, основных актёров также попросили остаться, но голых задниц и силиконовых сисек всё же добавили. Также практически каждые десять минут зрителю напоминают, что это кино Troma - не только пердежом и блевотиной, но и в диалогах.

После того, как белку выманили из города замаскированной под орех взрывчаткой, в Тромавилле воцарился относительный порядок. Роджер стал мэром, его возлюбленная разрешилась двойней (правда, накачанный дурачок пропустил момент рождения первенца, Дика, которого выкрали выжившие после погрома, учинённого белкой, злодеи из Squirrels во главе со Слагом, доктором философии, с профессором Хольт в качестве научного консультанта). Проходит пара лет, близнецы растут с невероятной скоростью и уже заканчивают школу. Злодеи понемногу прибирают к рукам станцию и институт, организуя корпорацию Нюка-мама. По плану Слага, Дик должен заменить собой брата Эдли, которого Роджер вырастил добрым и мирным юношей, и совершать преступления, которые обернут жителей Тромавилля против мэра и его отпрыска, поддерживающего бесперебойную работу реактора вопреки козням Нюка-мамы. Захватив в результате власть, злодеи (я не просто повторяюсь с определением, - так придурочных бандитов позиционируют в самом фильме) превратят городок в ядерную свалку. Зачем? Просто потому что могут. В преддверии катастрофы Эдли должен спасти всех. Сюжет, таким образом, перекликается с шекспировской “Комедией ошибок”, что уже ни в какие ворота. The Toxic Avenger вновь появляется на пару секунд, напоминая, кто здесь батя.

Так как от картинки и операторской работы в настолько трешовых фильмах ничего хорошего ожидать не приходится, всегда приятно, если саундтрек не полное убожество. К счастью, во всех трёх частях Class of Nuke ‘Em High музыка вполне сносная: в первой это приятная электроника, прообраз того, что нынче называют ретро-вейвом, а во второй и третьей частях - панк и пост-панк рок. При этом слова песен в фильмах написаны специально под них. Тут будет не лишним упомянуть, что Брик Бронски, бывший рестлер, исполнил в третьей части не только роль Роджера, ставшего мэром, но и его детей от Виктории, что довольно нестандартно для жанра, где актёрская игра особо не востребована. Также замечу, что Лиза Гайе, сыгравшая профессора Хольт, кроме фильмов производства Troma нигде не замечена, а известность ей принесла не связанная с актёрским ремеслом богемная жизнь в Нью-Йорке, она успешный распорядитель вечеринок в ночных клубах и искусствовед.

На этом классическую серию “Ядерно-укуренной школы” можно считать завершённой. Бредовые, во многом отвратные, но при этом по-своему забавные фильмы, существование которых, по мнению большей части зрителей, является ошибкой и насмешкой над кинематографом. Одновременно у меньшей, но отнюдь не самой безучастной категории фанатов трома-фильмы пользуются популярностью настолько, что стало возможным пикетирование Каннского кинофестиваля в 2013, когда протестующие требовали награду для Troma Studios за вклад в кинематограф в целом и перезапуск франшизы в частности. Дело в том, что в 2012 году Ллойд Кауфман вернулся к своему детищу, собрал денег на кикстартере и уже год спустя выпустил Return to Nuke ‘Em High Volume 1, приколовшись тем самым над Тарантино и его Kill Bill. Взносы на продолжение также не заставили себя ждать, и Volume 2 не за горами.

Основную трилогию я посмотрел уже довольно давно, а на мысль написать о Troma меня подтолкнула именно новая интерпретация, так как на днях я увидел первую часть “Возвращения” и с удивлением должен сказать - этот фильм выдаёт совершенно иной уровень иронии, при этом не забывая истоков. Кауфман жёстко пародирует известные и не очень фильмы и сериалы скопом и не забывает упомянуть или отметить свои собственные творения и релизы Troma в целом. Зрительский отсев происходит на первых же минутах, на сцене секса уборщика и старшеклассницы, которая заканчивается адовым пиздецом из-за очередной мутировавшей хрени из трубы с токсичной жижей. Молоденьких сисек стало больше и они натуральнее - спасибо интернету, раскрепостившему девушек за годы, прошедшие со времён выпуска предыдущих фильмов Troma. Сам Ллойд Кауфман исполнил роль управляющего пищевого концерна, построенного взамен атомной станции, ведь из-за взрыва на Фукусиме шутить про мирный атом уже не комильфо (что странно, так как Чернобыльская катастрофа наоборот дала в 1986 году старт франшизе), а вот тема ГМО сейчас в самый раз.

Своебразную лепту в атмосферу трэша, угара и содомии привнесли озвучившие ленту на русском den904 & DeadSno, которые воспользовались матерными полурифмованными субтитрами МЕГАПЫХАРЯ и ОХ! Студии, созданными скорее на потеху школоты, чем для антуража. Советую воздержаться от этой озвучки, если вам интересна авторская задумка, а не частушки “Сектора Газа”.

Сюжет всё ��акой же безвкусный, издевательский и тупой. Школьники куда-то исчезают, а то и вовсе отвратно погибают. Задроты из хора старшей школы Тромавилля из-за ГМО-еды в школьной столовой мутируют в банду The Cretins (привет первой части) и творят беспредел, при этом не забывая напевать всякое а капелла. Две блоггерши-лесбиянки (ещё в фильме есть негр-гей, авторы следят за трендами), Крисси и Лорен, принадлежащие к разным социальным слоям, противостоят Кретинам, кошмарным снам и собственным мутациям, параллельно расследуя факты исчезновения учащихся. Руководство Тромавильской Органо-пищевой Кампании ожидает приезда жены президента и прокручивает свои тёмные делишки. В качестве камео появляются и The Toxic Avenger, и банда Squirrels с профессором Хольт во главе. Вся эта вакханалия происходит не без каноничных пердежа, блевотины и отвратительных спецэффектов. Фильм обрывается словами to be continued и желающим узнать, чем же вся эта хрень закончится, остаётся лишь ждать Volume 2.

Как и в случае с предыдущими частями, оставлю в стороне операторскую работу и получившуюся в итоге картинку, и замечу положительные сдвиги в плане музыкального сопровождения. Саундтрек стал динамическим, авторы не подгоняют звукоряд под одну стилистику. Ретро-вейв, рок во всех проявлениях и, разумеется, завязанные на сюжете тексты. Хочу также обратить внимание на исполнительниц главных ролей (Крисси и Лорен), - довольно успешную актрису бродвейских подмостков, талантливую любительницу короткого метра Асту Паредес и частую гостью сериалов, производимых в Нью-Йорке, Кэтрин Коркоран. И если в жизни первой после участия в возрождении Nuke’Em High ничего особенно не поменялось (Аста как играла в театральных пьесах и режиссировала-продюссировала-участвовала в короткометражных фильмах, так и продолжила), то для Кэтрин роль Лорен стала знаковой, она стала появляться в полном метре (правда, пока в разного рода ужастиках, но лиха беда начало).

Как-то оценивать серию Nuke ‘Em High я не буду, потому что никакой ценности сама по себе, в отрыве от масс-культуры и кинематографа, она не несёт. Произведения Troma, если воспринимать их как пародию и стёб над жанрами и идеями, внимания заслуживают, но из-за излишних sexploitation и безвкусицы сложно посоветовать подобное режиссёрское видение широкому кругу зрителей. Вместе с тем, подобное независимое кино, крайне малобюджетное и оттого сверхдешёвое как в производстве, так и в дистрибуции, вполне имеет право на существование, будучи противоположным сверхдорогим блокбастерам полюсом, этаким островком свободы творчества.
