Hi everyone! This new build is an animal shelter (or rescue shelter) and is perfect for completing the The Animal Rescuer lifetime wish. This is mostly catered for cats or dogs as I think it would be harder to take care of minor pets at the same time.

I always have a soft spot for animals and would always include them in my gameplay thus I have sparse décor in most of my builds to let them run around the house. Anyways, please be kinder to all stray animals out there and adopt, don't shop!

For this shelter to work, I have set this lot as residential and created living quarters for Sims at the back. There are two bedrooms and can fit three Sims or four if you place a bunk bed or extra bed in the second bedroom.

The above pictures show the residential section of the shelter — the area where your Sims will reside—while the remaining shelter facilities are indicated by Public Room Markers.

📣If you want to move things anywhere at the shelter, please enable “testingcheatsenabled true” and “RestrictBuildBuyInBuildings Off” after. If you want to place more markers, enable “buydebug on” as well.

Below are pictures of the shelter, equipped with an onsite vet clinic, indoor kennels, a play area for cats, a reception area for visitors (perhaps your neighbors interested in adoption), an office for discussing adoption options, an indoor small yard for animals to play and a small park outside.

📣 Please note that the store content and CC included in the lot are not included on the download file. I’ve compiled a list for those interested in downloading them separately (please click the links above under the Details section or go to WCIF Navigation page) but those are not required and will be automatically replaced in the game. The Ambitions and Late Night expansion packs are required due to the build items used in the lot.

Most of the store contents are from Graham's Pet Swap Shop and I have provided an alternative link instead, same with the others that includes a store link just in case you will not be able download from the store anymore due to issues. Let me know if you experience any problems on your end!

Quiet and rainy

I know I have been quiet for a while, but I have been busy with getting but the retired horses and the young horses into their new rutine. A new horse also landed here today. It's a new boarding horse named Hermés, and he is the son of Ysabel's mare BOE Prada. He is 4 years old, and now owned by Ysabel, who needed a new horse after Prada retired earlier this month.

He has been owned by her for about three months, but has been send to another training stable to be broken in, as Ysabel - with her back injury - couldn't do that herself safely.

But now he has arrived, and even if he is still young he is a good boy, and has the best intentions when ridden. Ysabel hopes to enter him in his first dressage show next month or the month after, we will see when precisely later on.

It was definitely hard for Ysabel to retire Prada, but buying her son gave Ysabel the light back in her eyes. She wants to possibly geld him in a few months, as he is still very stallion-y, but we will see, as she possibly want to offer him as stud, if he does well in competitions over the next year or so.

I hope to post more pictures tomorrow or so, as I have some big news to reveal!

Lauren's POV

I had brought Toémme out for light jumping training, as he had just gotten placed well in a show the other day, and I just wanted to keep him in shape.

On my way back from the jumping training arena, I saw Lottie with a horse I hadn't seen before. It was a beautiful chestnut, with a very peculiar looking leg. Because it wasn't red as the rest of the body, but black! And had a white marking on it even!

Curious about the horse, I went to Lottie to ask her questions about this new horse. I wanted to know everything about it, especially when I would be riding it.

"Hey Lottie!" I called for her, and she stopped, looking at me.

"Hi!" she said back, and I trotted over to her, receiving a highfive when I stopped Toémme.

"Who have you got there?" I pried curiously, pointing at the horse.

"That's Calica!" she replied cherfully, and patted the horse's neck.

"Calica? Not Calico?" I had to admit that I was a little confused.

"It's a mare, silly," she laughed at me, shaking her head.

"Oh... When am I going to ride her?"

Lottie bit her lower lip in concern, "I better let Vivian tell you that," was her cryptic answer, "Better get her to the pasture too, see ya!"

With that she left.

I took Toémme to the stables, my mind boggled with confusion.

After rubbing down Toémme and spraying him with the hose, I went to find Vivian, my mind still boggled with Lottie's words. Then I found her.

"Hey Vivian? When will I be riding Calica? The new horse?" I asked her, giving her the winning smile that always seemed to soften her a little.

"You're not," she just replied, looking at something behind me, not paying me any attention.

"What do you mean I am not? Ain't I your rider?" I pushed further than I possibly should have with the next words, "Your only rider?"

"You were yes," she replied her tone something I couldn't recognize, because Vivian normally never spoke to me that way.

"What do you mean 'were'?" I asked, a little angry at her by now, as she wasn't doing a very good job at explaining herself. I mean I knew Vivian could be difficult, but never like this. Was she still angry about that training with Cou? Was that what all this was about.

"I have hired a new rider," she replied icely, and added, "And you won't be riding Casse-Cou anymore either."

"Then who will?" I asked angrily, trying to contain the irritation in my voice, but clearly failing, if Vivian's facial expression was anything to go by.

She looked furious, in that way only Vivian did. Her face was cold, but her eyes clearly burned with anger, telling me that she was warning me, and that I should, calm down, but I couldn't.

"Who, Vivian. Who?" I felt my voice cracking a little, when I was saying the last 'who'.

"She is," she said, pointing at someone I hadn't realized was in the stable, until now.

I was shocked to put it mildly.

The woman was standing holding the rope connected to Calica's halter. She looked like some fucked up real life version of Barbie with her pink, very low cut top and her very too-shiny-for-barnwork boots. Even the way she was standing provoked me like nothing else. A skinny rich girl that had no business being in a barn, because her fancy clothes would get dirty.

"That rich kid?" I said, stunned almost to silence, yet not enough.

"I got a name, you know?" The girl replied with a snarky attitude, and a face I wanted to kiss with my fist.

"Amber will be riding Casse-Cou, and Calica, from now on. You don't have to like it, but you have to accept it," what went unspoken was 'you are not ready to ride a horse like Casse-Cou or Calica', which made me angry.

"B-bu-" I stuttered, but wasn't even able to finish my word completely, as Vivian glared at me.

"And that's final."

Hera's POV

Just two pictures from me and Vigga's ride today. Vigga had been allowed to take Feline's horse Nero, while I took Paradigme and took pictures. Big girl Rêverie came with us, mostly as handhorse for Vigga, because Nero is a lot calmer around mares than Paradigme is lol.
