OKAY HELLO goodmorning i saw this earlier while i was making breakfast and almost burnt it LMAO

guys i love ben :( like my baby my baby i dont mind if the world spins faster..the musics louder and the waves crash harder?? 😿

ben isnt the exact same as he was in the first 2 timelines because he was raised different literally died had to watch his family as a ghost for 15 years yadayada but i love to be delusional and time travel is one of my favorite topics so i would loove to talk about this so that is what i will be doing !!

Ben was loved by his family, they say multiple times in the show that they stopped thinking everything was worth it after he died, as much as they're dysfunctional and not the greatest family they still are and it shows when you put them side by side in comparison to the sparrows, but back to Ben he always wanted to be with his family, he was protective over both his families in different ways because that's just who he is, you see him in the first 2 seasons yearning to be back with his siblings, following Klaus around and all that and yes while he absolutely is a little shit his love for his Umbrella family is so..filled with despair and pure love and its kind of lethargic to watch and witness?? It makes me feel so sick thinking about it because, you grow up with these people, and you die in some freak accident and your brother doesn't even tell the rest of your family that he can see you and interact with you for years!! And you follow them around for the rest of your afterlife, watching them make mistake after mistake and you can't do anything about it because you are just a spirit looming over them. They build you a statue and it fucking breaks because they can't get their shit together. You're stuck just outside their reach not being able to say anything to the people you miss so so much and you hold each other so dear to your heart and they don't even know you're there. "slay the darkness within you, find peace with the light" is engraved on his statue/grave and it breaks my heart??? Like what the fuck you guys. Ben was not some happy all the time little angel, he had his flaws just like his siblings and everyone else. He had so much trauma from literally having tentacles coming out of his stomach and he probably killed so many people on purpose or not. I don't like when people mischaracterize him in the way where they make him so..happy? because as much as I would want that he wasn't, Klaus literally describes him as "Dark rainy cloud on a bright sunny day" or something along the lines like I don't think a lot of people get it !!! He spent his whole afterlife just wanting his family, and was so protective over them in his own little way, he was too scared to move on to the light because he was scared he'd be alone and he'd rather be with his brothers and sister. You see him being mean to Klaus in the first 2 seasons and its so funny because it's like yeah he loves you but you are brothers and he's gonna bully the shit out of you and hurt your feelings, yeah you and your siblings were so close so when you possess one brother and go to another one because you finally have a grip, and something that you can use to connect with your siblings again even for a second.

Ben is a complex character just like the rest of his siblings, and you can see parallels between both Sparrow and Umbrella Ben in how he acts with his seperate families. He just wanted to be loved and seen by both of them and it is so gut wrenching. He is such a miserable character because he's longing and yearning just to be included, and be a part of his family. He has to prove himself in some way or another, he loves his siblings so much, all of them in all the timelines.

I thought of this theory that was lowkey self indulgent because I love time travel and paradoxes and all that in my heart and soul and my delusions Ben's love for the Umbrellas transcends through the timelines. No matter what variation of himself they are all so important to him. He was so so upset that he wasn't invited to the bachelor party because he finally has his family that doesn't care about place rankings, the numbers, the counts, any of that. They just care about him. And he can't handle that because Reginald raised the Sparrows and the Umbrellas so differently and Ben is right smack in the middle, torn in between the timelines. This isn't me being like "Oh he's like the EXACT same person like he has the same personality as other ben." Because oh definitely not. They have the same values and the same priorities for the most part but they definitely do not have the same personality as the other because Reginald raised them so differently. And I kind of believe that Reginald knew about Ben and realized how much of lost potential he was? So he raised him to be yknow the "greatest", number one. And then something goes wrong and he get's demoted to number two and yeah Sparrow Ben is definitely more...Stern? Aggressive?Not Aggressive but like I guess more aggravated I suppose because he was literally raised to be better than the umbrellas, he wasn't growing up knowing what it was like to be in such friendships with his siblings like he was before. And it really affected him. Yes, I think Umbrella Ben is still in there because Ben is genuinely a good person and I believe his love for his siblings ascends through the cosmos no matter what timelines, paradox, whatever.

In conclusion because I need to stop before I make this like way too long but Ben is Ben and he just wanted to be loved by his family throughout everything. That's all he wanted since day one was to be with his family and to be seen and heard

Hello Hanyi how are you? Hope that everything is okay and that your days are happy 🩷 You are a huge inspiration to me and I admire you so much. I wanted to ask for your advice or maybe for you to just read this, i need to tell this. How do you find inspiration for a new project (gifset)? Where do you usually find it and what things motivate you? I'm feeling really sad and unmotivated because my sets have less notes every time 😿 the last few reblogs on my sets are self reblogs. I know not everybody has to like what I do, and that I should do it for myself. But one of the main reasons I do gifs is to share, and for the other people to enjoy too. But my last three sets haven't reach 200 notes, the last ones not even 100. It's been weeks since someone reblogged from me, i'm just so sad, gifs is the way i found to express myself and I don't wanna lose that.

I don't know what to say besides thank you; I'm hardly the most encouraging or talented or patient person around here, and I'd never think I'd be a source of inspiration or admiration for anyone. it really made my day when I saw that!

a lot of (if not most of) the time, I get inspired by other creations I see here! I tag things that inspire me in different ways (layout, concept, typography, quote, etc.), and sometimes when I know I want (or need) to make something but have no idea what to do, I just go back to those tags and trawl around and pray something hits me ∠( ᐛ 」∠)_ a lot of people here are unbelievably talented and I'd kill for even an ounce of that (tbvh it's kind of embarrassing the extent to which I learn from and get inspired by other people, really most of the stuff I make aren't original original)

please, please don't get discouraged! I definitely feel that tumblr in recent days has gotten a lot more... disheartening, in terms of response. when I first started making gifsets a couple of years back in the thick of the plague, it was so much easier to get a really good response and a high note count even though the quality of my stuff back then was absolute trash. these days, getting even over 100 seems like a miracle, let alone 200. it's all the tougher since I rarely do scene-only gifsets as shows air (it bores and stresses me out at the same time), and it's painful and disheartening that complicated edits tend to do worse than scene-only sets, even though they take a lot more time and effort to do.

and you're right! at this point, despite this, I'm doing it mostly for myself too, and I've learned to brush it off and not check back at the notes at all. these days, it kinda feels like I'm tossing my posts into the wide world and after I schedule my self-reblogs, they're just out there fending for themselves (ノ°∀°)ノ⌒･*:.｡. .｡.:*･゜ﾟ･*☆

I'd be lying if I said it didn't bother me, because it did, and sometimes, it still does. but I try to focus more on the few people who appreciate and enjoy the things I make, no matter how few they are in number, and it really, really makes my day when they leave nice comments in the tags, no matter how few notes that set gets ( ´ ꒳ ` )

I don't regret learning how to make and edit gifs, because it has been an outlet for me to express myself as well and I've met a lot of new people through it. but as much as I'd love to encourage you to continue pushing yourself and learning new skills, it's good to also take a break for a little while if the responses gets too disheartening; I'm trying to slow down as well (I haven't been getting much response these days either anyway) and take the chance to spend some of my life outside tumblr and photoshop. maybe, it would help and be a little breather, instead of abandoning this hobby completely just because of the poor response you're getting, which I really hope you wouldn't do especially if it's something that you enjoy and find meaning in

I'm not sure if this will help in any way, but I hope it does give you some solace that what you're experiencing is not something that's happening to you alone; I've seen so many posts by content creators here (gifmakers and editors alike) about how response is getting more and more lacklustre despite all their effort, and the general lack of motivation >_< as disheartening as it is, it makes me all the more appreciative of the things that the people who remain do and the communities that we've fostered here.

i agree wholeheartedly !!! staticman and nicholas are like, some of my fav characters of all time. i mean, i'm a sucker for the trope of a buddy cop type show where one party largely wants them to strictly not me buddies for a majority of the show.

i think a while ago i read a really good crossover fic between tma and archive 81 and it was amazing (The Sabbatical by morelikeassassin if i remember correctly) ! i think my favourite episode was s2 ep 18, the sound design of the show is straight up amazing and i loved the idea of making the tapes a method of cartography in a world where nothing "makes sense". i've heard of the silt verses !! i'm planning to start it within the week!

- He is obsessed and can’t get enough of watching you twirl so elegantly through the air, it’s a gorgeous sight to see which is a refreshing change from the Demon World

- Obviously watching you perform such acts gives him some inspiration for some other ideas that he has in mind

- Will without a doubt have aerial silk set up in his bedroom / bathroom (i mean have y’all seen his bathroom it’s HUGE) to make sure that he gets his share of private performances

- Shows up to all of your events because circus snacks~ DUH

- But he’s also just a supportive baby who wants to be your #1 cheerleader

- Goes to your practice sessions too so he can catch you just in case you fall

- So obviously you fall on purpose every now and again because mmmf Beel’s arms 🤤

- Are you kidding me? THIS BITCH LOVES THE CIRCUS

- Legit might ask you to try and teach him because he’s desperate to join the circus squad

- Gives up eventually for obvious reasons (no Belphie you CANNOT use the aerial silk as a hammock I’m afraid)
