kind of funny that 80% of star wars media released after the sequels has been dedicated to explaining the "somehow" of palpatine's return

Dave Filoni can be a damn good writer when he wants to be.
But lately it feels like he’s been rushing things or working on autopilot.
The third season of The Mandalorian was jarringly uneven. It had some great moments and stories but the ending felt too damn fast. (I loved seeing Coruscant again, and the flashback showing Grogu escaping from the temple, the Nevarro battle was great, I just wish that Carson Teva was there to help)
The Ahsoka series was a VERY mixed bag. (I loved all the stuff with Baylan Skoll and seeing Ezra again (Eman Esfandi is brilliant btw!), C3P0 and R2D2’s cameo was a nice surprise, as well as seeing Huyang, Thrawn, the Nightsisters and the Purgills in live action, as well as live action Lothal, the Loth-cat animatronic puppets, the borderline feral fascism of imperial remnants, Enoch, but the constant ineptitude of the New Republic wore thin really fucking fast, the zombie stormtroopers were tedious, though I can look past Marrok’s death because it was unintentionally hilarious!)
(And shut up about lightsaber wounds being healed. Ahsoka was right there so she probably knew what to do)
The Bad Batch’s third season was great. Barring a few missed opportunities which I would’ve happily seen explored (more stuff about separatist holdouts, Cody continuing to doubt the empire’s purpose, etc)
Tales of the Empire was fantastic in some areas (I loved all the stuff with Morgan Elsbeth), and not so much in others.
It feels like he needs a few other co-writers to help him sort through stuff like pacing and side plots. Idk.
