Sphene is a very rare calcium titanium silicate that is hardly ever seen in jewelry or collections. Sphene is also called titanite, which derives from the fact that it is an ore of titanium. The name sphene comes from the Greek word for wedge, which describes the shape of the ends of sphene crystals. Sphene has been prized for many years, mostly for its high amount of fire, however its #scarcity always prevented it from becoming well known. Now however, new sources of the stone are being found, and we are starting to see it on the market more often. Most of the sphene we see today comes from Brazil and Madagascar, and some comes from Austria and Switzerland. Sphene is usually very small, as gems of more than two carats are almost impossible to find. The Smithsonian Institution in Washington DC has a collection of yellow sphene from Switzerland, that are arranged in a necklace.
garnets seem more like top commanders than law enforcement so i doubt they would fit the imperial officer role. those bulky green gems mentioned from the movie do fit quite well. their large size could indicate combative in role and the color green fits with emeralds who command forces throughout space so it makes sense they would have special forces keeping order in sectors of the empire(this turned into a more in-depth theory than i thought it would lol)
You know what you’re right, while designing titanite i started to feel like they aren’t just some average soldier. So during development i added a cape to be more superior 😅 So ya her purpose is commanding soldiers in space.
hmmm today i will complain about titanite being so soft because it's so damn gorgeous and changes color and has more dispersion than a diamond and adamantine luster to boot but it's so soft that you probably shouldn't wear it on jewelry but it's so PRETTY
