Rick Riordan knows how to write an ending. I'll give him that. Even if you hate all the details in between the beginning and end of the book, rick does know how to end a book series on a good note. His endings are usually always happy. Warmth all around. His endings are definitive, but not so definitive as to write off future revisitations to his worlds. Percy Jackson and the Olympians, The Kane Chronicles, The Heroes of Olympus and Magnus Chase and The Gods of Asgard all end on positive notes with a small sequel hook wrapped inside the definitive endings.

So if you ever need to know how to end a long book, just pull a rick riordan. He may fail in a lot of other aspects, but the man knows how to write an ending. He knows just what I want from my book endings. Happiness and conclusions, while leaving space for future adventures. Keep the door for more open, but also leave everything happy enough so that it's okay if you don't revisit the books. His endings are truly the best parts of some of his books. I hate a lot of the final Magnus Chase book, but the last 4-5 pages are soft and warm and altogether pleasant. They make me feel like forgiving. I like that.

When does it take place?

Great question! It takes place from May 12 to May 18!

He assumes it was Nicky and it never gets brought up until he walks through the house in Columbia and realizes Nicky went to pull an extra shift at Eden’s only to find Andrew in the living room with the comforter from his room bundled up and passed out in the couch with a documentary playing

They never talk about it but it becomes a thing whenever they find the other napping or asleep and stops once they move to the dorms, but in the later years at palmetto if they make sure the other has a jacket as a blanket on the bus after games or brings a spare blanket in the colder months then the rest of the foxes don’t comment (Nicky may or may not tear up)

This actually made me feel better because I was thinking that I'm too old to read the series for the first time ( I'll be 18 in less than 2 months) but yeah, I actually got to know people reading it and they're in their late twenties!
