So Orion Pax and D-16 are going to be slaves in the mines and honestly, I like that more.

Because with Optimus always being a clerk or even a higher position than Megatron, it makes Optimus standing against Megatron's revolution seem really bad, as he is a person in a place of privilege who really doesn't understand the shit slaves go through.

Optimus also being a slave however, and choosing to go against the system means he has more of a leg to oppose megatron. He understand violence, oppression, slavery, etc., but he chooses not to be genocidal and he chooses a difference form of resistance. which also means the autobots may also start as an oppressed group and those who want better for themselves but rather, they will follow optimus and not megatron.

It makes the feud between the autobtos and decepticons feel good. We don't have to worry about privilege vs nonprivilege, and inevitably the privileged people winning. It events it out.

Transformers has never been my Fandom, but I love this trailer. I love that it's very clearly a trailer that the Transformers Fandom will like. This feels like some Transformer Fandom fanfiction in the best way.

Holy Crud, Comic Thoughts Return!

Skybound's Transformers issue #1 is officially out in the wild! Overall, not a bad start. I like the art better in the full than I thought I would judging from just the teasers, which is a good thing.

Tossing a couple thoughts behind a Keep Reading. :) Not much to speak on yet, honestly, being only the first issue.

Not real enthused about the humans, but I hardly ever am so no surprise there. The reveal on who they are? Meh.

BUT! Robots. The real reason I'm here. (Will be, as usual, focusing on the bits that interest me. So, Optimus and Ratchet? Bumblebee? Jazz? Jetfire? Not this time.)

Big in-universe fact of note: The Cybertronian war, according to Starscream, is all of a single century old. Thus! They've likely not destroyed great swaths of the galaxy? (If they have, oh dear. LMAO!) HRM!

The TC tease! O.O 💙💙💙!!!

Also, I could do things already with Starscream's look of despair when Teletraan One is damaged and Thundercracker falls to pieces (literally) again. (I have to wonder, was despair the look they were going for? 🤔 HRM!)

And maybe it's just me, but that final sequence? Starscream vs a human? *CACKLING* Beautiful. 💖 (Image not for the squeamish?)

So, yeah. Issue 2 will definitely be getting a read. :)
