Regeneration
Urban Mobility to PUMA by hussein chalayan
An innovative solution that bridges the gap between fashion and performance. Hussein Chalayan's latest collection, "PUMA by Hussein Chalayan", was held in London, where he is based, and we sneaked into the collection preview, which marked the start of the label's launch.

Chalayan's latest Puma design combines minimalist strength with functional beauty.
On a certain day in June, a preview of the upcoming 2012 S/S collection of PUMA by Hussein Chalayan was held at the Vinyl Factory near Oxford Circus in central London. Alongside the eagerly awaited new products on display at the venue, creative director Hussein Chalayan presented his own collection. As this was his first public presentation, press members from all over the world gathered to listen to Chalayan's passionate thoughts on fashion and sports.
At this venue, Chalayan spoke to HUGE about the image he envisions for “PUMA by Hussein Chalayan” and its deeper meanings.
—————Compared to your own brands CHALAYAN and GRAY LABEL, which will be launched in Spring/Summer 2012, and the artworks you exhibit in museums, what is the position of PUMA by Hussein Chalayan?
"This collaboration with PUMA is a collection with a sports lifestyle theme. It is completely different from the brands I usually work with. This PUMA collection puts performance first. With that in mind, the target audience naturally changes. It is easy to access and relatively affordable.
Not only have we become more sophisticated, but we have also been able to incorporate cutting-edge technology. To be honest, sports brands are now in a position where they can experiment more than fashion brands. I was attracted to the breadth of expression that only a sports brand can offer, and the technical aspects of PUMA, so I decided to take on this project. It's a collection that excites me, as I wonder what will happen if I express my creativity in this field."
--Your creativity seems to have a lot of minimalist and striking elements, but was there any feedback from other original collections for this PUMA project?
"For example, these shoes (Urban Swift) were created by extracting elements from my past collections. I express the other items using my own language. The prints have to be powerful, as if they are alive, and go beyond just prints. My designs are not complete with just clothes or objects; I have to breathe life into them. They can be designs born from a certain action, designs born out of the movement of people, or designs with a sense of speed like an aircraft. My designs have a strong connection to the things around us."
Do you ever wear sneakers?
"I do wear them depending on the time and situation, but I don't wear them very often (laughs)."
--So, do you ever wear nylon sportswear?
"I usually wear a lot of classic clothes, but of course I also have jackets that can be stored compactly like the one I made this season. They are useful as functional outerwear in the cold season. One of the themes of this label is 'urban travel', so items that can be easily carried and functionality are important elements. So there is no contradiction with that theme. It's like my own version of 'Prada Sport' (laughs)."
--In Japan, there is a trend among some men to move away from sneakers. If you were to recommend your sneakers to such men, what kind of styling would you recommend?
"It's classic clothing. I think the contrast between sporty and classic is very appealing."
--Finally, what is interesting about creating your own sports brand?
"The concept is 'sports lifestyle.' It's not just another sports brand. The DNA of CHALAYAN is firmly embedded in the PUMA collection. It is urban, sporty, and offers a relaxed style in its entirety. In creating these products, the most interesting thing is thinking about the process of how to turn the ideas I have in my mind into reality. When one project is finished, the next thing I want to do comes to mind, and they are connected and spread out like a rosary."
"There is always sense of the clothe, and sense of life in my design."
"It's not just about clothes or objects, you have to breathe life into them." (Hussein Chalayan)

01/ Many apparel items feature graphics based on the theme of this season's "double exposure"

02/ The label's iconic item is the "Urban Swift." It is a masterpiece that combines the iconic "Clyde" shoe from PUMA with the design symbolized by Chalayan's own "Inertia" shoe from his 2009 S/S collection

03/ At the preview venue, Chalayan himself presented the label concept of PUMA by Hussein Chalayan

04/ In addition to the "Urban Swift" footwear, desert boots and low-cut sneakers were also on display

05/ Many press representatives from around the world were in attendance at the venue

06/ The bag is made of thick leather, and the inside is equipped with functions such as a laptop protector All items in the photo are from the PUMA Urban Mobility 2011 A/W collection. For inquiries, please contact PUMA customer service.

Ermmm sorry if this is weird but do u maybe have any like, ““original”” cyberpunk prompts? I want to write something cyberpunk for an au but I just don’t have any ideas right now no matter how long I brainstorm
Exploring Cyberpunk
Cyberpunk is a very unique genre, which is why so many people are both attracted to it and stumped when attempting to develop plots within an unknown world. Think of Black Mirror created by Charlie Brooker (TV show), Blade Runner written by Philip K. Dick (a movie based on the novel Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?, a classic Cyberpunk novel), Altered Carbon by Richard K. Morgan (modern Cyberpunk novel), etc. -- each of these were incredibly influential in their own right, but they all also build their worlds gradually while having a single easy-to-explain concept that can spawn an entire universe. To be more specific, each story establishes an issue created by an advanced society ignorantly abusing technology, then allow their characters to explore that problem and try to find a solution in a manner that isn't explicitly black or white for society as a whole, but every shade of grey.
For Black Mirror, each episode anthologically builds upon a high-tech future within the same universe and explores how its characters interact with problems created by new pieces of said technology, both good and bad.
For Blade Runner, the story establishes that androids seem to be malfunctioning, but the bounty hunter charged with hunting them down discovers that the true issue lies in society's understanding of what it means to be human.
For Altered Carbon, the novel explores the issue derived from the obscene length of time it would take for humans to travel between planets stretched across the universe, then dives into more detail regarding how a solution has been abused.
How to Construct a Cyberpunk Concept
What we'd recommend is to start by asking the right questions and looking in the right places. Black Mirror takes its inspiration from a variety of technology, both new and old; Blade Runner explores the idea of AI and androids during the 80's when robotics was on the forefront of innovation; Altered Carbon took note of our increasing ability to travel in an interstellar fashion, then posed a simple question regarding the limits of humanity (specifically, time).
This may sound strange, but the best thing you can do is seek out trends online and scientific journals about new breakthroughs, then ask questions about what may go wrong. For example, an old post we featured here on AUideas that has since been removed from ~2017 because it's in the process of being developed into a script (sorry guys, our bad!) called Dreamscape Co. uses this exact method. When the prompt was made, Admin M was in the process of reading a scientific journal about how neurologists had been able to project a person's thoughts into an image. Although the technology was rudimentary at the time, Admin M posed the question "if dreams can be viewed, what if dreams can be watched in real time with a high quality image? What if they could be immersive? What would that industry look like? Who would pay how much to see a certain person's dreams?" This spun out into a sweeping cyberpunk mini-series, yet came from a simple news article.
Some Cyberpunk Inspiration
When performing a quick search, some amazing ideas seemed to jump out from technology news headlines these past couple weeks alone:
Ferroelectric Liquid Crystal (FLC) Technology Being Used in 3D Displays
Unlike holograms, this technology uses liquid crystals that exhibit spontaneous polarization, meaning their orientation can be influenced by an electric field. They're high-speed, low-power, and have innumerable applications in the future. So, what could go wrong?
How could this technology impact the medical field? Although this may not be possible, consider what could occur if FLCs were injected into human bodies and influenced by electric fields to perform different tasks and functions, such as replacing an organ, attacking cancer cells, etc. How could such a technology be abused or go wrong? How many could die with a simple pulse, like an EMP?
Real-Life Freeze Ray Technology Created for the US Airforce
This technology hasn't been developed to be used as weaponry, but instead to replace large amounts of coolant that must be used on space and air crafts to prevent the machinery from overheating (coolant is heavy and can reduce efficiency yet is absolutely necessary due to the fact that space is a vacuum and therefore does not cool heat like air would on Earth). This "freeze ray" technology utilizes plasma's strange property that seems to break the second law of thermodynamics: it chills down when touching another object before heating up, which experts have proposed is because it vaporizes the ultra-thin layer of carbon and water on an object upon contact, similar to how water evaporates off your skin when stepping out of a pool. The question must be asked: how could such technology be used for not just utilitarian means, but outside of the Airforce's intentions?
Perhaps the technology could be manipulated and over-chill an aircraft, or otherwise damage internal engineering.
Consider its potential applications here on Earth: what could benefit from being chilled with something light-weight and low-power? How could it be integrated into homes? What could be disastrously destroyed with such technology?
Breakthrough in Enhanced Geothermal Systems Technology May Completely Replace Carbon Energy Sources
Google and Fervo have successfully developed geothermal technology that has increased its efficiency and broke records by changing existing rock formations in the Earth's crust. For a natural geothermal energy system to produce electricity, it has to have the right amount of heat, fluid, and rock permeability -- these Goldilocks conditions can be difficult to find 'in the wild'. However, this new Enhanced Geothermal System (EGS) targets the most-easily found aspect (rocks with high heat) then creates the necessary permeability artificially by drilling to the intended rock formation and injecting fluid to create fractures in the rock, achieving the necessary Goldilocks conditions. Sure, this may be carbon-free energy, but what would happen if this were employed on a mass scale?
When energy is prioritized by a high-tech society over food and water, how could citizens gain access to those resources?
What long-term effects could such a system have on the Earth as a whole? Could the ground become unstable? Maybe earthquakes crumble city after city? Maybe the entire Earth's crust loses its integrity and disintegrates, pulling only a lucky few deep underground and forcing them to survive off the left over fluid injected into the Earth's crust and whatever they can find.
Closing Thoughts
As you can see from above, there's a crazy amount of inspiration that can be drawn from current technology events. What's important to remember is that yes, we've been talking about complicated technology, but only you have to understand how it functions in your universe down to the molecule, not your audience. Deep technology topics can be dry to a certain extent, and over-explaining your world can be damaging to your story. Explanations regarding how technology works in each of the stories we discussed is limited for that same reason (Black Mirror's overarching concepts, specifics about how Blade Runner's Replicant technology are rarely discussed, etc.). Leave some mystery surrounding how your cyberpunk world functions and allow how your characters room to breathe and interact with that world -- it can speak for itself. Your audience may first love the idea behind your story, but what they'll remember and relate to is how your protagonists and antagonists suffer and prevail within your universe.
We hope this answered your question, and feel free to follow up if you'd like some more guidance and advice on how to construct your Cyberpunk story! In addition, feel free to check out our other post which outlines more information on how to build a Cyberpunk world.
Now get to writing, and have an awesome week!

Character Design 💁✏️
Brief 3: Design a different humanoid character each in a research group and produce 5 character sheets.
Created in Autodesk Sketchbook
I think I put more time and effort into this project than I thought.
I hope you can kinda discern what type of person she is just by looking at her. I wanted her to be very kind and caring, but she has a bit of a bite - she won't tolerate any nonsense. Think of Katara from ATLA. I was aiming for her to be about 15/16 but I fear she does not read as 15/16. Maybe the slut strands age her?
We were thrown into groups and randomly assigned a setting and two genres - we ended up with skate park horror/adventure. We definitely could've developed the plot more cause I think our final outcomes are probably all a bit different, but literally only 3 of us out of 6 contributed consistently and 2 sent one single message to the chat each :/
We had the vague idea that our cast is a friend group of monsters that meet at a '90s/2000s skate park at night and get up to whacky shenanigans and they're also human haters. But like,,, my character doesn't really look like a monster - maybe I could've given her pointy ears or a more monstery face?
I didn't choose a character immediately, we thought up character types and sketched them out to work out which characters we're drawn to.

I really, really wish I stuck with the werewolf jock I drew, I thought the idea was so fun. I also liked drawing this druid stoner guy but someone else in my group was more attached to the concept, so I didn't design them.
When I was drawing the witch, I originally had the Hex Girls from Scooby Doo in mind, edgy quirky girl.

We also looked into fashion trends for the time period, everyone knows y2k fashion and all that. We also looked into style and decided on Jamie Hewlett's style for Gorillaz.

^^^I drew out my group's characters to work out the style.
I DRAGGED my feet creating these character sheets. I created a turnaround but it was just poor, her positions didn't match up between angles.

She looks a little cheeky with her tiny skirt here.
Call me crazy, but I was quite proud of her 3 stripes from her choker, bag and belt. I also wanted to maximise her stripiness and I later gave her socks with stripes like Winnie the Witch. (I also was gonna say the witch from Room on the Broom but I just realised she doesn't actually have stripey socks :o).

I wanted her to have a fringe like Sapphire's from Steven Universe, fluffy and round? I over-complicated it too much though and realised I could make her fringe compliment her hat!
SPEAKING OF HER HAT !!! I could not get that cunt to look right. It started as a rigid bandana and then my advisor and friends told me to make it a beanie but I wasn't sure how to draw it for ages.
(I swear I'm almost finished ranting)
I also thought about drawing a star on her top but we were told these designs had to be easy to animate and I can't draw stars.

When I was deciding on her colour scheme, I knew I wanted her to wear blue but she was a very warm character - and I am terrible with colour theory. I think it looked pretty good in the end though! I originally envisioned her being blonde but I wanted to differentiate her from another character in the group so I made her ginger. I really like the low contrast between her face and hair, call me crazy.
Do we like how she skates on a broom with wheels guys?! I can't upload anymore images but it's in my final gesture sheet. I really tried to make sure all her poses were nice and rounded to communicate her sweet personality.
We actually DON'T talk about the construction sheet.
How do you make a construction sheet? We had to animate these designs so I drew this sheet up after animating her and I still didn't know what to say.
Anyway, sorry, this is really long. Again, I thought longer and harder about this process than I realised and I wish I got this in-depth with my submission video but I forgot to mention half of this and there's still thoughts I have that I've not written down here 😭

Affordable Web Application Development Company: Turning Ideas into Digital Solutions

In today's digital era, having a strong online presence is crucial for businesses of all sizes. A well-designed and functional website or web application can significantly enhance a company's brand image, improve customer engagement, and drive business growth. However, the cost of web development can be a major concern for many organizations, especially startups and small businesses.
Fortunately, there are affordable web application development companies that specialize in providing cost-effective solutions without compromising on quality. These companies understand the unique challenges faced by budget-conscious clients and strive to deliver tailored web applications that meet their specific needs while keeping the costs in check.
The Benefits of Choosing an Affordable Web Application Development Company
1. Cost-Effective Solutions: The primary advantage of partnering with an affordable web application development company is the significant cost savings. These companies often have streamlined processes, efficient development methodologies, and experienced teams that can deliver high-quality solutions at a fraction of the cost compared to larger agencies.
2. Customized Approach: Despite offering affordable services, these companies focus on providing customized solutions. They take the time to understand their clients' unique requirements, business goals, and target audience. By tailoring the web application to specific needs, they ensure that every feature and functionality is purpose-built, leading to improved user experiences and higher customer satisfaction.
3. Expertise and Experience: Although affordable web development companies may have smaller teams, they are typically composed of skilled professionals with extensive experience in web application development. These experts possess a deep understanding of the latest technologies, frameworks, and trends, allowing them to build robust and scalable solutions that align with industry standards.
4. Timely Delivery: Meeting deadlines is crucial in today's fast-paced business environment. Affordable web application development companies understand the importance of timely project delivery. They employ efficient project management techniques, maintain open lines of communication with clients, and work diligently to ensure that projects are completed within the agreed-upon timeframe.
Choosing the Right Affordable Web Application Development Company
When selecting an affordable web application development company, it's important to consider a few key factors:
1. Portfolio and Expertise: Evaluate the company's portfolio to gauge their proficiency and versatility. Look for projects similar to your requirements and assess the quality of their work. Additionally, consider the technologies and frameworks they specialize in to ensure they align with your project needs.
2. Client Reviews and Testimonials: Read client reviews and testimonials to gain insights into their past experiences. Pay attention to the company's ability to communicate, handle challenges, and deliver on promises. Positive feedback and testimonials are indications of a reliable and trustworthy partner.
3. Communication and Support: Clear and effective communication is vital for successful collaboration. Ensure that the company has a responsive communication channel and is readily available to address your queries and concerns. A dedicated project manager or point of contact can significantly streamline the development process.
4. Scalability and Future Growth: Consider the long-term potential of the web application development company. Assess their scalability, ability to handle increasing demands, and provide ongoing support and maintenance. A reliable partner should be able to grow with your business and accommodate future enhancements and updates.
Conclusion
An affordable web application development company can be the ideal partner for businesses seeking cost-effective yet high-quality web solutions. By leveraging their expertise, customization capabilities, and efficient processes, these companies help transform ideas into functional and engaging web applications. However, it is essential to carefully evaluate potential partners based on their portfolio, expertise, client reviews, communication channels, and scalability to ensure a successful and fruitful collaboration. With the right partner by your side, you can unlock the potential of the digital landscape and drive your business forward.

What is your favourite trope to rp?
I love a good rivals to lovers type beat. Doesn't matter if they're bitter rivals, competitive-playful rivals, complicated rivalry or even childish ones. They're all flavoured immaculately to me.
Name 3 things you admire about OCs.
The dedication that goes into the process of conceptualising and creating OC characters is commendable.
The creativity in coming up with verses and AUs of how OCs can fit into different games/genres etc is cool!
Making OCs is a passion project that creators develop over time. Being able to see their ocs grow, change and progress as they do in writing is neat!
What is a character you love, but don’t think you can write?
Navia
What is one overrated roleplay trend?
Joking about breaking up during relationship banter threads. It's just not something I enjoy personally as it sets my cluster B brain off.
Is there one trope you can’t stand?
The concept that love can somehow magically fix everything. Just not my cup of tea.
Are there any red roleplay flags for you that make you back off immedately?
Writers blatantly projecting their 'desired image' of the character onto my muse and disregarding the differences of my ideas/portrayal of them.
Writers being controlling and possessive over who their shipping partners interact with.
Writers who berate others for not matching their enthusiasm, effort, priorities or availability.

Bigfoot Scrapbook Creation
Making a Bigfoot scrapbook can be a fascinating and engaging method to learn about the many ideas, sightings, and stories surrounding this fabled creature, as well as to dive deeper into the field of cryptozoology. A scrapbook devoted to Bigfoot provides a tangible and intimate means for both enthusiasts and researchers to record and commemorate their interest in this elusive creature. The first step in the procedure is gathering materials. Included are a good scrapbook, glue, and numerous embellishments such as stickers, markers, and patterned paper. The material that will occupy the pages, however, is what matters most. Images, sketches, and maps can be included in addition to magazine articles, printed reports from the internet, and newspaper clippings. Every component helps to create a thorough and aesthetically pleasing story about Bigfoot.
We could arrange the scrapbook chronologically, starting with some of the early reported sightings. This could include well-known tales like the 1958 finding of sizable footprints in Bluff Creek, California, which contributed to the American public's increased awareness of the Bigfoot myth. You can establish the scene and give context for the scrapbook by including copies of the original newspaper articles or even handwritten notes that summarize these early events. Another strategy is to organize the scrapbook by region and record sightings and interactions from around the world. Various cultures have recorded similar animals, such as the Yeti in the Himalayas and the Yowie in Australia, as bigfoot or similar ones under different names. By breaking these legends down into portions for each region, it is possible to compare and contrast the folklore and descriptions, pointing out areas of similarity and variance. Enhancing the scrapbook with one's own thoughts and analysis can be beneficial. This could include jotting down observations about why certain sightings stand out, identifying trends in the sightings, or formulating theories about potential explanations for the Bigfoot phenomenon. Personal tales, such as trips to well-known sighting spots or encounters with other Bigfoot aficionados, can give the collection a distinctive and captivating element. Understanding AI Architectures: A Guide by an AI Development Company in UAE

In a world where screens rule our day, Artificial Intelligence (AI) quietly drives most of the online tools we now take for granted. Whether it's Netflix recommending the next film, a smartphone assistant setting reminders, or stores guessing what shirt you might buy next, the trick behind the curtain is the framework-the architecture.
Knowing how that framework works matters to more than just coders and CTOs; it matters to any leader who dreams of putting AI to work. As a top AI company based in the UAE, we think it is time to untangle the idea of AI architecture, explain why it is important, and show how companies here can win by picking the right setup for their projects.
What Is AI Architecture?
AI architecture is simply the plan that lines up all the parts of an AI system and shows how they talk to one another. Think of it as the blueprint for a house; once the beams are in place, the system knows where to read data, learn trends, decide on an action, and respond to people or other software.
A solid architecture brings four quick wins:
speed: data is processed fast
growth: the platform scales when new tasks arrive
trust: sensitive details are kept safe
harmony: it plugs into tools the business already uses
Because goals, data amounts, and launch settings vary, every model-whether machine learning, deep learning, NLP or something else-needs its own twist on that blueprint.
Core Layers of AI Architecture
Whether you're putting together a chatbot, a movie recommender, or a smart analytics dashboard, most projects rest on four basic layers.
1. Data Layer Every AI starts with data, so this layer is ground zero. It handles:
Input sources, both structured tables and messy text
Storage options, from classic databases to modern data lakes
Cleaning tools that tidy and sort raw bits into useable sets
In the UAE, firms juggle Arabic, English, and several dialects across fields like finance and tourism, so keeping fast, local data clean can make-or-break a project.
2. Modelling Layer Next up, the brains of the operation live here. Data scientists and engineers use this stage to craft, teach, and test their models.
Major pieces include:
Machine-learning algorithms, such as SVMs, random forests, or gradient boosting
Deep-learning networks, like CNNs for images or Transformers for text
Training platforms, with tools from TensorFlow, Keras, or PyTorch
An AI shop in Dubai or Abu Dhabi tunes this layer to local patterns, legal rules, and industry demands-whether that's AML flags for banks, fast scans for hospitals, or fair-value estimates for buyers.
3. Serving Layer After the models finish training, they must be put into action and made available to users or business tools. This step includes:
APIs that let other software talk to the model
Places to run the model (on-site, in the cloud, or a mix)
Speed tweaks so answers come back fast
In a fast-moving market like the UAE, especially in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, a slow reply can turn customers away. That makes this layer so important.
4. Feedback and Monitoring Layer AI systems are not plug-and-play for life; they learn, drift, and need care. This layer keeps things fresh with:
Watching how the model performs
Collecting feedback from real-world results
Re-training and rolling out new versions
Without that routine check-up, models can grow stale, skewed, or just plain useless.
Popular AI Architectures in Practice:
Lets highlight a few AI setups that companies across the UAE already count on.
1. Client-Server AI Architecture Perfect for small and mid-sized firms. The model sits on a server, and the client zips data back and forth through an API.
Use Case: Retail chains analyze shopper behavior to better place stock.
2. Cloud-Native AI Architecture Built straight into big clouds such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. It scales up easily and can be deployed with a few clicks.
Use Case: Fintech firms sifting through millions of records to spot fraud and score loans.
3. Edge AI Architecture Edge AI moves brainpower right onto the gadget itself instead of sending every bit of data to faraway cloud servers. This design works well when speed is vital or when sensitive info cant leave the device.
Use Case: Think of smart cameras scanning mall hallways or airport lounges in the UAE, spotting unusual behavior while keeping footage onsite.
4. Hybrid AI Architecture Hybrid AI blends edge smarts with cloud muscle, letting apps react quickly on a device but tap the cloud for heavy lifting when needed.
Use Case: A medical app that checks your heart rate and ECG in real time but uploads that data so doctors can run big-pattern analysis later.
Challenges to Consider While Designing AI Architectures
Building a solid AI backbone is not as simple as plug-and-play. Here are key hurdles firms in the UAE often encounter.
Data Privacy Regulations
With the UAE tightening digital-security rules, models must meet the Personal Data Protection Law or face fines.
Infrastructure Costs
Top-notch GPUs, fast storage, and chilled racks add up fast. A skilled UAE partner will size the setup wisely.
Localization and Multilingual Support
Arabic-English chatbots have to handle dialects and culture cues, which means fresh, on-the-ground training, not off-the-shelf data.
Talent Availability
Brilliant models need more than code; they rely on data engineers, AI researchers, DevOps pros, and industry insiders speaking the same language.
How UAE Businesses Can Profit from Custom AI Setups?
Across the UAE, artificial intelligence is spreading quickly-from online government services to real-estate apps and tourism chatbots. Picking or creating a custom AI setup delivers:
Faster decisions thanks to real-time data analysis
Better customer support through smart, automated replies
Lower costs via predictive maintenance and lean processes
Higher revenue by personalizing each users journey
Partnering with a seasoned local AI firm gives you technical skill, market know-how, rule-following advice, and lasting help as your project grows.
