The rain was pouring in the pitch black outside, but the lights inside the church hall were bright as day. The only occupant of the church on this night was Lee Felix deep in prayer, oblivious to the storm outside. With hands folded and head bowed, he whispered his prayer through his lips, a slight echo of his words spreading through the otherwise empty room. 

Felix jolts up at the sound of the main entrance being opened and slammed shut quickly after. A feminine sigh can be heard, and Felix lets out a shy “hello” to the intruder of his private repentance time.

HAHA Idk how many Malaysians or SEA folks out there can relate to the fish thing but it's a thing we do KASJDHKASDJ at least when I was younger

usually it's part of a get-together in one of the extended relative's rural home (these areas are call "Kampung") and the dads/uncles would drag the kids to rivers, or paddy fields and make us suffer with "fishing" kjasdhk (see cause usually during dry season the water levels are low but that also mean it's muddy so it gets dirty QUICK)

the worst is getting ikan keli (Catfish) because THOSE ARE SOME SLIMEY MTFS and they will put up a fight and slap those mud all over your pants and face (if you're unlucky and it slipped out your hand and goes straight onto your face- one of my cousin had that experience and cried LMAO)

crowdsourcing naming help here: im writing chapter 2 of "stolen nectar, misadventure, something like a death kiss" and i need an agent codename for an agent side character thats gonna show up for like half a scene, does anybody have any suggestions? im kinda drawing blanks at what animal to use....

for context: this side character exists solely to stupidly make a sleazy comment about angler, prompting luke to get Very Mad At Him. i dont want this side character's codename to REFLECT that hes an annoying sleaze, because thatd be too on the nose. i need a codename thats just so....forgettable and mediocre

idc that i’m sort of stealing this guy’s video essay title (generation kill & “the truth” we tell about war) cause he literally doesn’t even talk about gen kill in a meaningful way. he discusses history for the first 30 minutes of the video and most of it isn’t even relevant to gen kill. also he uses the r slur which immediately makes him lose any respect. it takes him an hour to make the point that gen kill allows you to make your own decision and “doesn’t promote or demonize war” which is 1) such a basic take and 2) just fucking wrong? yes it allows you to make your own decision it is NUANCED but it doesn’t have anything to do with promoting or demonizing, it is telling you the truth of war in an unfiltered way. it is a magnifying glass into a much larger conflict. he also spends half the video saying that “people hate the military because they do war crimes” uh yeah?? cause they do??? LOL. this guy is a loser and my video essay will be much better. i was going to change my title so i don’t get accused of stealing but he doesn’t deserve respect anyway. he completely misses the point and all his takes are extremely surface level.
