User interview
Goal: interview an user about her online shopping habits in order to identify needs and pain points in that process.
Julia is a 31 year old young woman from South Africa. She’s comfortable with online technology. She owns an Apple laptop and also a smartphone.
Julia shops online occasionally, mostly for e-books, music, housewares (often kitchenwares) and travel tickets. She chooses online shopping for the convenience of it, the attractive prices (often cheaper than traditional commerce), easiness and variety of choices. Julia values brand engagement and is a loyal costumer. She tends to do her online shopping at the same stores and when if it comes to choose between price or brand, brand wins almost everytime. Julia is an informed shopper. She carefully researches what she’s going to buy and bases her choices on online reviews and friend’s feedback which she actively asks for. Normally her online purchases are done from her home laptop since she doesn't enjoy the experience of browsing and buying things on a mobile device. She has no problem with online payments but prefers PayPal over credit cards.
